While most of the deities have peaceful face filled with love and compassion, some of the Gods and Goddesses are shown with terrifying face and with lots of weapons in their hands to instill fear in people, so much that after a visit to the temple, the children would not sleep well due to fright. But why are they depicted so? Here are a few possible reasons.
