We think of possession as some evil, supernatural influence. This is why, in the modern world, it is ridiculed as non-existent, or simply the raving of the mad. But can a rational answer be given which can teach us a lot about ourselves?
I think it can. A good starting point is multiple personality. Here, the mind seems to fragment into a number of personalities, each taking it in turn to occupy the person. There are hundreds of documented cases.

They can be fascinating.

Many people seem to live their life quite naturally with such personality invasions, and each can seem a separate entity. But I’ve noticed, in many cases, a specific element within each personality.
They seem to reflect a specific emotion, or aspect, of the host. They can be specifically angry, sad, joyful, sexual, and many other traits. Indeed, it is as if it is not the mind that has split, but the specific emotions of the host.

This could have importance beyond the unexplained.
Consider, for instance, the serial killer. In many cases they seem to have separate personalities themselves. If married, a ‘normal’ personality can live a normal life, the wife even unaware of the truth.

The actual killer can be seen as anger in the raw. Once the murder has occurred, we often find a deep seated conscience which makes the killer carry out stupid errors, which eventually lead to capture, as if he wanted to be caught.

Could the serial killer be possessed?
Yet, not possessed by some supernatural influence, but a series of specific emotional fragments of his inner mind. It could be that there is a real ‘devil’ within.

Similarly, some people can appear absolute angels. Think of the monk, dedicating his life to service in God, totally subsuming all desires and emotions. Maybe it is not as difficult as it appears. The ‘monk’ personality simply sheds emotional baggage.

It can be seen in the evangelical movement.
In this case, they are filled with absolute joy, and nothing can touch them emotionally. Have they been touched by the ‘angelic’? Or have they simply discarded all other emotions?

We think of the mind as a coordinated whole. But the above suggests this need not be the case. Rather, the mind is a cauldron of conflicting emotions and traits, a particular fragment often rising within the ‘normal’ person.
Consider, for instance, sudden anger, where all other emotions disappear as you descend into a rage. Think, also, of the moments of pure, ecstatic joy, where nothing negative can touch you.
Are these moments of mild possession, when an emotional fragment escapes the confines of normality? If so, then the full blown possession is simply a matter of degrees. We all have the capacity to become devil or saint.

Occasionally, paranormal literature throws up a case so incredible that we either dismiss it as fantasy, or edge towards the idea that demons and possessions are a reality. The facts are just so fantastic, rational inquiry is often forgotten.
But are we right to either dismiss or accept? Or is it possible that rational explanations can be placed upon the subject within an overall cultural explanation of phenomena? I opt for this middle ground.

ANNA ECKLUND
Consider the case of Anna Ecklund, born into a religious family from the American Midwest about 1882.
Believed to have been abused by her father, at fourteen, she showed signs of possession involving acute sexual fantasies. A monk from Wisconsin was called in, who exorcised her in 1912, claiming she was possessed by the Devil.

Failing, she reverted, being possessed until age forty six. Eventually being taken in once more by monks, she threw a fit and for over three weeks swayed between unconsciousness and erotic behaviour, including copious vomiting, levitating and speaking in strange voices.
Eventually her body went rigid and the possession was over.

ROBBIE MANNHEIM
Robbie Mannheim – the believed influence behind The Exorcist – was similar. Just before an aunt died, she and Robbie tried to contact spirits on a Ouija board. After her death, his behaviour changed, the boy swearing incessantly.

Strange disturbances then began in the house, and cuts appeared on his body. His parents called in a priest who said he was possessed. Exorcisms were attempted, but each time Robbie got worse, attacking one priest with a bedspring, resulting in a hundred stitches.
On Easter Monday 1949, Robbie woke up and his demon was gone.

THEORIES ON ENTITIES
The idea that entities can possess the person was accepted as fact through most of human history. In 1917 teacher Max Freedom Long began a study of the Huna of Hawaii.

His work confirmed the belief. The Huna believe that, rather than being an individual, man has three separate selves; the low, middle and high self. Long identified these as the unconscious, conscious and superconscious mind, the latter being the region of possession.
Canadian psychiatrist Dr Adam Crabtree would see it differently. During therapy he would create entities. Typical was depressive Sarah Worthington. During therapy Crabtree asked if she ever heard voices. Saying she had, he asked her to recall them.
Her persona then changed, becoming confident and she had a different voice. Crabtree asked who this possession was. It turned out to be her grandmother, who seemed to have problems of her own.
Using this form of psychodrama, Crabtree treated Sarah by psychoanalyzing her grandmother.

MIDDLE GROUND
In the above we have two separate and distinct ideas upon possession. In the former, we see the possibility of the human mind having higher levels of consciousness, whilst in the latter, we see the possibility of entities being ‘split-off’ aspects of mind.

This aspect is seen in the phenomenon of multiple personality, where the mind can seem to fragment into a number of different ‘personalities’, taking it in turn to inhabit the host.
Could an amalgamation of multiple personality and the possibility of higher consciousness be merged to produce a credible theory of possessions such as Ecklund and Mannheim?

EMOTIONAL INFECTION
One well accepted theory of multiple personality is that it does not exist, as such. Rather, we have a chaotic mind coming upon a therapist, or idea, that it exists. Hence, a form of role-play comes into being, the patient playing to the therapist.

In this way, a form of transference has occurred, with the therapist validating something that comes into being purely because of his validation. But what, exactly, is involved in such role-play? What part of the mind does the therapist’s bidding?
It is interesting that each personality displayed seems to exhibit a particular emotion of the host. Hence, could it be that, in multiple personality, the role-play revolves around specific emotional traits within the mind?

COMMUNAL CONSCIOUSNESS
Emotions tend to be chaotic things. But more than this, whilst an emotion may be expressed for a variety of ‘personal’ reasons, the actual nature of various ‘emotions’ seem to be identical in all people. Hence, could emotions be of the ‘species’ rather than the person?

If so, then we can see a ‘communal’ element of mind being tapped in multiple personality, suggesting that its similarity to possession is greater than we think, with an actual ‘outside’ entity being manifested.
Carl Jung gave us a similar concept in his ‘collective unconscious’ – a mind below the ‘personal’ with ‘communal’ traits. And these traits included ‘archetypes’, or shared personality types such as the Child, Sage, Trickster and Hero. Could we therefore argue that, in multiple personality/possession, we are dealing with an archetype as entity?

A SUGGESTIVE CULTURE
Jung’s archetypes also include all manner of symbols, and together with the personality archetypes, we can see the collective unconscious expressed in mythology and society. It is almost as if ‘culture’ itself is an expression of this communal aspect of mind, but within the world we experience.

Culture can, of course, come in many forms. An on-going culture can be built-up over millennia, as the ideas and communal symbols are passed down from generation to generation.
Such a cultural form can be suggestive in the extreme. After all, if it is an outside expression of the inner mind, it would be, as one would be in sympathy with the other. And possibly so, too, with the ‘archetypes’ that transcend both.

THE DEMON LET LOOSE
If we return to the above cases we can ask what would be the reaction, in terms of culture, of a suggestive, possibly disturbed person being told that they were being possessed?

Bearing in mind the cultural legacy inherent in the suggestion, combined with the authority of the priests who are enforcing the concept, can we imagine this person being very good and, as in the role-play involved in multiple personality, exhibiting the behaviour expected of him?
And as the cultural expression increases, reinforcing the displayed entity’s existence, we can imagine an emotional archetype out of control, and a ‘possession’ in existence that is ‘communal’, in that it is ‘other’ than the personal mind.
And as its ferocity increases, and the patient is further reinforced towards ‘possessed’ behaviour, we can also imagine the priests being similarly infected by the role-play suggested by the possession. And in such a cultural feed-back loop, the exorcists see what they think they’ll see.

But her upbeat and resilient spirit isn’t just surface.  Comes to find out that Lisa has a few demons….no quite a few. She has had to go deep to keep her upbeat demeanor and focus.  This is one focused girl too.  This young woman was physically and sexually abused as a younger person.  On her season I didn’t know that.  But if anyone has watched this Season of the All-Stars and watched her with an unbiased opinion (in short not having such a fanatical desire for someone else to win) you may have witnessed a girl that was very confident in her challenges, took directions quite well, tried her best and pulled from a very talented area.  In real life she is actually a Singer/Entertainer so she has some things going for her already.

Lisa wanted to win, you could tell.  But more than that, it seemed that she wanted to leave a good impression, probably far better than the slightly mixed up one she left in her own Season.  I remember her in a scene in the pool where she had had too much wine and the girls ratting and talking about her so badly.  She spent a lot of time alone.  She was the type of girl that the rest just chose to pick on and she stood out for that.  I had a sympathy for her, but more I felt that she deserved a second chance.  I had no idea that America’s Next Top Model would do an All-Star so seeing her participate because of her memorable appearance before, made me happy for her.  You talk about a whole 360 degree turn around?  She was completely different and she just shined right through her competitors.

Now maybe 31 is considered ‘older’ to the very young but to me, she is very young.  I remember being 31 and looking at my pictures from that era, I looked quite young.  So does  Lisa but Angelea, the girl that is rumored to have been the actual winner until she let things leak out, could be considered just a little ‘fresher’ looking to some but not particularly for me.   The world is opening up, people are living longer and Models don’t have to be 18 or 19 to make a splash.  The win for Lisa can only up the stakes in her career.  She’s just that good and deserving. 

I am glad for her, after all, I did prefer her, Allison, Dominique, Brie, Alexandra and Laura over most of the others.  I must say I am getting good at this.  I should be on the panel because actually, I have picked quite a few winners.  When I feel sick and don’t like them but know that they will win, I’m right.  When I root really hard and watch their actions, they usually win.  I need a job….maybe I’ll be the ‘Predictor for ANTM” the next show.  After all there are a lot on YouTube and sorry, they are usually wrong!

                I think that this is a good book for Christians to own and read.  It could help with dealing with your own personal demons.

I would like to present a plausible theory about how this struggle between the two will be ended. Christians will tell you the answer is the second coming of Christ. Atheists will have you believe that only the cold embrace of death will relieve believers of their “delusions”. I think neither reason is going to be the end of this debate. Christians sometimes forget and atheists deny that there is another power working behind the curtain to bring great change. This change, I believe, is going to be the end to the age old debate of Christianity versus atheism; or put differently, belief versus non-belief.

The power that I speak of is known to Christians, although many believers are moving in the direction of believing that Satan and his demons are nothing more than a myth to frighten people. This is where I will probably lose those of atheistic or different religious beliefs. I don’t expect you to read something you don’t want to, but I can promise you that what I have to say is not conjured out of thin air. Whether you believe that there is a great evil behind major world events or not, any rational and observant person will realise that the world is changing very quickly and that this change is seldom one for the better.

I am not going to give a complete breakdown of the concepts of secret societies, nor am I going to go on at length about that “tin-foil hat” subject of the new world order. If you’re willing to work with an open mind and let the facts speak for themselves, then you will be surprised what you will discover about these topics. My focus will be on one deceased individual that contributed a great deal to the changing world situation we see today. His name is Albert Pike. I won’t go into a long description of who he was and what he did in this article. I wish to focus on a specific letter that he wrote in the 1870’s to an Italian Revolutionary leader by the name of Giuseppe Mazzini. This letter detailed a plan to instigate three world wars. Keep in mind that this letter was written at least 40 years before the first world war. I will give the relevant excerpts of the letter below:

“The First World War must be brought about in order to permit the Illuminati to overthrow the power of the Czars in Russia and of making that country a fortress of atheistic Communism. The divergences caused by the “agentur” (agents) of the Illuminati between the British and Germanic Empires will be used to foment this war. At the end of the war, Communism will be built and used in order to destroy the other governments and in order to weaken the religions”

Any student of history will be able to recognise these described conditions that clearly indicate the rise of the Communist Soviet Union, as well as the framework for the war on the western front.

“The Second World War must be fomented by taking advantage of the differences between the Fascists and the political Zionists. This war must be brought about so that Nazism is destroyed and that the political Zionism be strong enough to institute a sovereign state of Israel in Palestine. During the Second World War, International Communism must become strong enough in order to balance Christendom, which would be then restrained and held in check until the time when we would need it for the final social cataclysm.”

Once again you can see from the above the clear references to the conditions leading up to the Second World War. The establishment of the state of Israel is described and also the further strengthening of communism (Cold War?). This also strongly suggests the rise of atheism, since communism is a pro-atheistic system.

Below is the extract that this article is based on. Please read it carefully and consider what it is saying and try to relate it to what is happening in the world right now.

“The Third World War must be fomented by taking advantage of the differences caused by the “agentur” of the “Illuminati” between the political Zionists and the leaders of Islamic World. The war must be conducted in such a way that Islam (the Muslim Arabic World) and political Zionism (the State of Israel) mutually destroy each other. Meanwhile the other nations, once more divided on this issue will be constrained to fight to the point of complete physical, moral, spiritual and economical exhaustion…We shall unleash the Nihilists and the atheists, and we shall provoke a formidable social cataclysm which in all its horror will show clearly to the nations the effect of absolute atheism, origin of savagery and of the most bloody turmoil. Then everywhere, the citizens, obliged to defend themselves against the world minority of revolutionaries, will exterminate those destroyers of civilization, and the multitude, disillusioned with Christianity, whose deistic spirits will from that moment be without compass or direction, anxious for an ideal, but without knowing where to render its adoration, will receive the true light through the universal manifestation of the pure doctrine of Lucifer, brought finally out in the public view. This manifestation will result from the general reactionary movement which will follow the destruction of Christianity and atheism, both conquered and exterminated at the same time.”

“The war must conducted in such a way that Islam and political Zionism mutually destroy each other” To me this perfectly describes what is happening in the Middle East at this very moment. You may have heard of possible war between Iran and Israel. The real crux of the matter is contained in the last couple of sentences. If we are to take this letter seriously, then it would seem that Christianity is in for one hell of a ride. Atheism, being used as a tool for Christianity’s destruction, won’t escape annihilation either. What is even worse is that it seems that a Satanic world religion will emerge from the ashes of the war between Christianity and Atheism.

At this point you have either written me off as a complete lunatic conspiracy theorist, or you have started to think about what is presented above. If you are unsure what to make of the above, then I wish to present the following question to you. How can a letter written at least forty years before the first event described (i.e. world war one) manage to predict it with such accuracy?. The only logical conclusion is that the writer of this letter (Albert Pike) had some foreknowledge of these events.

In conclusion, what does this letter mean to any of us in the 21st century? Well, it would seem that Christianity and atheism are both going to be targeted for destruction. I can’t force anyone to believe what I believe. I am simply interested in the truth. For me the truth is that there will be great oppression (as evidenced by this letter) before the end comes. As a Messianic believer I believe that this has been prophesied in Scripture long ago. So it may seem a dark situation, but I have hope for the better future promised beyond that.

Tales on supernatural are passed from one generation to another and refuse to vanish despite advancement of knowledge and science. The reason is that people love to hear stories that are unusual or extraordinary. Some fairy tales and fantasies are even considered as stories that are appropriate for children. Like other people of the world the Filipinos too have folklores that border on superstition.

Below are two of the numerous supernatural creatures that are ingrained in the Philippine myths:

Manananggal- (flying vampire) is a malevolent witch. Although she might look attractive and tender in person, she would prefer to live in a desolate place to hide her being a witch. She is said to be endowed with the power of evil. During a night with a full moon, her witchery acts up. Applying self prepared oil or casting spells, she turns herself into a monster. She splits her torso into two. Her appearance then totally changes. Two sharp fangs come up along with two bat-like wings. She has bloodshot eyes and long disheveled hair. She would have to leave her lower body behind when her upper body is away. She is usually attracted with the scent of a pregnant woman. That smell is very pleasant to her. Her delicate sense of smell guides her to the house of her victim. In a rural setting she lands on a thatched roof undetected and she is capable to let his proboscis like tongue through a small opening and stretch it down toward the abdomen of a pregnant woman. Her tongue could penetrate the abdomen and suck the blood of the unborn fetus. Meanwhile the left behind standing lower body is very vulnerable while the upper body is away doing its activity. An ordinary person could neutralize a manananggal by sprinkling salt or ash on top of the standing lower body. He could also put garlic on it. A manananggal subjected to that situation could no longer attach her split torso and the break of dawn would eventually catch up with her. The ray of the rising sun would be fatal to the manananggal so that it would kill her in the end.

Tiyanak- (demon child) some accounts say that it is the spirit of unborn child whose mother died before birth. Others have it that it is the spirit of a child who died before its baptism. Still others say it is the spirit of unborn fetus who would like to seek revenge for being deprived of its right to live in this world. Generally, the tiyanaks are regarded as demon spirits who enter the body of a dead fetus or an unborn child. The tiyanak may dwell in the forest and may act mischievously by disorienting its victim so that the latter may not find his way out of the forest. A person could avoid the supernatural creature’s prank by wearing his clothes inside out. The tiyanak who see a person in that attire would be amused so that he would let that person be. The tiyanak could be very malevolent when it mimics a baby. In a desolate place it could cry like a baby. An unsuspecting person would follow the source of the sound to look for the child. He may even find the baby and hold it. Then all of a sudden, the child completely change its appearance into a small ugly monster to the horror of that unfortunate person. Other mischievous act of the tiyanak includes kidnapping a baby. One could contain the power of the tiyanak by bringin a garlic or a rosary.

Could it be that one reason many of these people were accused of this was lack of understanding? People who suffered from epilepsy were belived by many to be possessed by the devil, simply because of how they appeared whilst fitting. And then branded witches due to their fits being seen as demon possession. This is so sad that people who were seen as different or had special needs were seen as evil and killed because of being different.

When you hear things that go bump in the night do you think nothing of it and say its the wind or do you cower deeper into your covers and say its a ghost? When your child misbehaves do you believe him/her when he/she tells you a demon or the devil made him/her do it? And do you think your deceased relatives are long gone or sitting right nexr to you? For questions such as these different people will tell you different things for example, one person might tell you they are real, some may tell you they are not real, and others may say only a few of them are real, but what is the truth?

GHOSTS

Ghosts are generally described as the electrical current of energy that runs through every humans body left behind on earth. Many people may get a ghost confused with a spirit or may even think they are the same thing, but that is where some people are wrong for spirits and ghosts are two different things; as stated earlier about the belief of ghosts being the eletrical current that runs through every humans body being left on earth after death has been the most proven form form of a ghosts because of the the eletrical currents they give and take. A spirit on the other hand is believed to be the soul of a departed human being and occasionally animal. The only proof we currently have for the existence of ghosts are photos, videos, and occasionally personal experience. Below is an example of supposed ghosts captured on film. 

Spirits

Spirits are supposedly the souls of deceased human beings. It is not certain why spirits choose to stay on earth after death, however it has been said that spirits choose to walk the earth because of unfinished business. Very little is known about spirits and the untrained eye would more than likely mistake it for a ghost. very few photos or videos have ever turned up of spirits, there have been however many cases of supposed photos of them appearing but none are for certain.

Demons

For those who have seen The Exorcist, you will no what I’m talking about. Demons are best described as evil creatures that are the spawn of satan. The belief in demons has has gone back many years in many religions and with this being said many religions perform some form of what is called an exorcism, which involves expelling a supposed demon from some ones body. There have been many reports about exorcism one famous one is of a young girl name Anneliese Michel in Germany. This video plays audio clips from her supposed exorcism. 

Peter Wagner, a minister wrote a book with the title, “Dominion! How Kingdom Action Can Change the World” He wants christian activism to dominate through politics, education and beyond. Christians are the only ones who get a fair shake here. Others are considered evil and not to be considered. Texas Governor Rick Perry conducted a prayer rally, quoting Isaiah and Ephesians at a prayer rally in Houston. Many a-mens and hallelujahs rang out over the audiences. Perry was in his element. Being a smart politician, he may be able to win the Evangelical vote without immersing himself too deeply into their politics. He seems for the most part to be more interested in battling with Mitt Romney than waging war against Satan and demons.

Christian dominionists believe it’s their obligation to convince everyone to their way of thinking. Which means they are always right and everyone else is wrong. They would like the courts to have power to enforce the ten commandants. They already propose it their home schooling agenda. The religious rights failure to force prayer back in school or pass an antiabortion bill has them more determined than ever. So far they have little to show for their painstaking work. Let’s hope it stays that way.

Grimmverse! It’s a unique Twitter role play and ranks among my personal favorites. It’s playful, interesting and intelligent. It’s also extremely complex. The storylines are fast-paced with multiple plot developments. Each chapter builds on the ones before and doesn’t necessarily stand on its own. Most of the characters are magical creatures. They die and come alive again. They transform, mutate and travel through space and time. Besides the main cast of more than a dozen characters there are many temporary characters. @korikatra: Ok then, John, let’s start with Legs Wesson (@ShotgunInsuranc). She’s described as “sensitive and from a Family of Hunters.” Later she’s referred to as “fae” and has unique powers. What is she?

@ReaperAsInGrimm: When I first met Legs– threw her over my shoulder and dragged her out of a hunt she was over her head in– she was a sensitive and the Wesson family goes way back in the Hunting circles. She was raised to it. Later on, we found out that she was a sensitive because she was part fae. Someone in her family tree is a faery…. So she’s fae. Long story short. Kinda.

@korikatra: I see. Why did David Shepherd (@ShepherdHunter) have Dean Winchester’s (@CallMeDean) car at the Mission? What is the significance of the black ‘67 Impala? Is Dean the only member of the team who is from 2010?

@ReaperAsInGrimm: David inherited the car from his father, who bought it at auction. That Impala was Dean’s father’s. It’s Dean’s last piece of his family and he left it behind when he came into the future.

@ReaperAsInGrimm: UAC stands for ‘United Aerospace Corporation’. And… no. Dean’s not immortal, neither is Legs. Technically, we’re all killable.

@korikatra: When Shepherd gives you a bone-handled knife, it cuts you. The cut burns and doesn’t heal immediately. This is taken as “the final piece of evidence that Reaper is, indeed, a demon.” How does it prove that?

@ReaperAsInGrimm: From what I understand, the knife was forged in hell and brought out by a demon named Ruby. The knife was created to kill demons. Its reaction to me… Well, that specific reaction, proved Reaper was a demon because that’s what it does to demons. 

@korikatra: Your girlfriend, Cierra Rose (@KittehHasClaws) and the knife Shepherd delivered to you disappear, taken by the demon, Dick. Dick then beheads you with Ruby’s Knife. Is this the same bone-handled knife? Cierra is driven to try to kill her friends because of “Dick’s geas”. What’s a geas?

@ReaperAsInGrimm: Well, Ruby’s the original ‘owner’ of the knife, and yeah, it’s the same one Shep gave me. A geas is a command or spell someone is under that they have to obey. They are compelled to via the spell or magic binding them.

@korikatra: There is a temporary but important character called Adam. Why was Legs the only one who didn’t recognize Adam? What kind of creature is Adam?

@Grimmverse: Hi! (Goblins now.) John doesn’t remember Adam. (Legs was away when Adam showed up.) Adam has to touch you for his tricks to work. (He’s an alien that lives on the energy created by memory….) So he inserts himself into people’s lives and lives on the people around him. (If you don’t remember him, he can’t exist! So Cas wiped everyone’s memories.)

@korikatra: Thanks, Goblins! Back to you, John, how are you still alive after being beheaded? How could the demon Dick use you as a host when you were already host to Reaper?

@ReaperAsInGrimm: Ha! Yeah… I wasn’t really beheaded… Dick needed to buy time so he used an illusion– apparently he was good at those– to fake it. And Dick wanted to separate Reaper from me and then use what was left.

@korikatra; Who is Jimmy Novak and what is his connection to the team?

@ReaperAsInGrimm: Jimmy…. He’s a great guy. I kinda feel bad for him. He’s Cas’ vessel… That is, the body Cas is using was a walking, talking, person with a life named Jimmy… He gave up everything for Cas to be able to come to Earth.

@korikatra: After the ordeals involving Dick and Adam, Reaper is gone. Eventually, Reaper ends up in a mirror. How does he get there?

@ReaperAsInGrimm: -Hey… I was never really gone…. I was just… Everything operates on energy right? Well… Dick sapped mine when he tried to separate me. And well… I had to regroup. So John couldn’t feel me or hear me… He got a vacation.- 

Reaper wound up in the mirror because mirrors are soft spots. You can look into mirrors and see things that can’t be seen normally. Reaper was stuck between this world and the next– not quite a ghost, not quite a shade– and could step into the mirrors and be perceived. Later, when he got stronger, he was a shadow as well.

@korikatra: Sam tries to help you and Reaper reconnect using the spell Giles gave to Dean.

@ReaperAsInGrimm: Dean and Legs had a small issue with something and wound up in a place called Sunnydale. Sunnydale was an alternate reality from us… Dean said they were a TV show. Go figure. Giles was a man there who knew some stuff and gave Dean something to try and help.

@korikatra: There are mysterious ‘suits’ who interfere with the work of your team. The question is asked, “Are these people government or what?” Are they Torchwood? What exactly is Torchwood anyway?

@ReaperAsInGrimm: The suits are…. Difficult to understand. They’re part of the Technarch. They want to remove all creativity and change from the world– make it static, unchanging and always the same, easy to predict. They are not officially part of the government, but they do have their hands in a lot of pies. 

-They aren’t Torchwood. My little bro wouldn’t last five minutes with them.-

Shut up, Reaper. Anyway, Torchwood’s an agency that operates outside the law… They deal with the extraterrestrial stuff and things that pop through the various soft spots in the world… They call them ‘rifts’.

@korikatra: Legs ends up spending 5 years in a Labyrinth which translates to 5 days in real life. What was the purpose of her time in Labyrinth? When she returns to the hotel, she reaches into the mirror to comfort Reaper and he’s scared. Why?

@ReaperAsInGrimm: Her time in the Labyrinth was getting to know her fae side. She was going through a second puberty, basically. When she comes back, she does something no one should be able to to do…. And Reaper’s a chicken.

@korikatra: Where is Cardiff? What’s the difference between Torchwood 3 and Torchwood 4? Is there a Torchwood 1 and 2 somewhere? What is their purpose? How did Hart & Jack become involved with the Grimmverse team?

@ReaperAsInGrimm: I think I’ll hand this one over to Ianto for you… He’s more familiar with the Torchwood things…

@TeaboyNoMore: Ah, Cardiff is in Wales. It’s the home base of Torchwood 3. And yes, there was a 1 and a 2. I was originally employed with 1 as a junior researcher, actually. The multiple locations were only to cover more ground. Personally, I’d have more than one Torchwood in America… but the Americas are touchy, therefore there is only one. Hart and Jack apparently met John and Company via Twitter, through Owen, interestingly.

@korikatra: Jack Harkness (@FixedPointJack) and John Hart (@IWasAGoodWife) use Vortex Manipulators. Does this make them Time Agents? Is Owen Harper (@StillDrHarper) a Time Agent as well?

@TeaboyNoMore: Yes, Jack and John are Time Agents. Owen is not.

@korikatra: Ianto, you have a demon named Weevil, just as John has Reaper. What is a weevil? When he pulls a feather from the wings of Castiel (@CastielRising), the angel is surprised. Why?

@TeaboyNoMore: A weevil is a small insect– Mm. You mean the weevil that Weevil was named for. Owen named Weevil after a creature we’re very familiar with from Torchwood 3. They were a semi-harmless race that tended to be scavengers. Until things get unbalanced and then they lash out. They are sized like humans, live in packs, have a hive mentality, and are stronger and faster than humans. Owen saw Weevil hunched in a corner, growling, and assumed. Instead, he got me.

Castiel’s wings are intangible and invisible until he chooses to make them so. Weevil is able to perceive Castiel’s– and Gabriel’s– wings despite this. That, combined with his ability to pluck a feather from something he shouldn’t be able to touch? This was disturbing for the angel. Amazing that the unknown could cause an angel issue.

@korikatra: During their trip to the Caribbean, the Team encounters a kracken. What is a kracken?

@ReaperAsInGrimm: I’ll take back over from Ianto for now. Sorry I couldn’t answer those for you, darlin. Simply put, a kraken is a sea creature that looks like a giant bundle of seaweed given a beak and an eye. It’s a ‘monster’ and they’re rare– usually ships get attacked by sea serpents or giant squid. They’re debatably intelligent and apparently curious.

@korikatra: Gabriel is introduced as a deceased archangel who is looking for Castiel. How can an immortal be deceased? How can he be deceased yet searching for Cas? What is the difference between an angel and an archangel? There is a fight with someone named Raphael. Is he an angel too? Castiel believes he can’t help because his powers are low. Later they are recovered. What causes this ebb and flow of angel power?

@ReaperAsInGrimm: -Hot wings played dead once– ran off to join the pagans and played dead to his own siblings– then was actually killed by his brother, Lucifer. So he was actually dead.-

What Reaper’s leaving out, is that someone– something?– has apparently brought Gabe back from the dead. Umm… Archangel’s are like God’s first kids… Lucifer, Michael, Raphael, and Gabriel. The other angels are the secondary generation…. Less power there, apparently.

Cas had an ‘ebb’ of power because his dick brother, Raphael, cut him from heaven. Without being attached to that source, he had no power to use. Never could have been done to an Archangel, but Cas isn’t one. So Gabe loaned Cas some of his Grace– his power– and they went and took care of Raphael.

@korikatra: Ben Braeden is recognized by Dean but he ends up being the demon who once possessed Dean. Castiel exorcises the demon and frees the real Ben. He seems important. Who is he?

@ReaperAsInGrimm: Ben Braeden is possibly Dean’s kid. We’re all betting on it. If Ben is or isn’t Dean’s, it doesn’t really matter because Dean feels responsible for the kid and wants to make sure he’s okay. 

-I’m saying he’s Dean’s cause we all know Dean banged Lisa like a screen door in a gale and—

Yeah. That’s enough of that.

@Grimmverse: Interesting facts? Umm… Watch the NPCs that get named but don’t get on the NPC account. Some of them are fun references to other TV shows/book series/movies/etc… and one or two might be past characters making a comeback… You never know with us!

There are all kinds of breeds of vampire in Grimmverse. And they’re mostly named for the ‘anthropologist’ who discovers them. For instance the Whedonites, named for Joss Whedon, creator of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, or Harrisites, the breed of vampire in the Southern Vampire Mysteries by Charlaine Harris (Also known as Trueblood). There are references to ’sparklepires’ a specific race of vampires in the Pacific Northwest.

Grimmverse tends to be rather tongue in cheek, though we can be pretty serious for the storylines. If we make a reference to something and you think you know what it’s from, @ the Grimmverse account and the Goblins will be sure to let you know if you’re right. We can be a giant game of Nerd sometimes.

Fun fact: The Team’s phones rarely run out of battery life. Why is this? There is actually a piece of technology in development today, in our timeline, that allows batteries to recharge via friction– i.e. as you move around, the battery recharges itself from the friction of the particles in the air moving against it. We appropriated that and made it real and in massive use.

Our plans for the future are just that: We have a lot going on and do plan to continue– we’ve made it past a year now, as of July 5th! But in our stories: What’s happening with the Hellfire Club? Shaw (@BlackKingShaw) occasionally makes rumblings about ‘plans’… And that Chuck (@OhMyChuck) guy, who the hell is he, anyway? If it’s over why is he still mooching off David, and why is he still getting visions?

Again, thanks so much for taking the time to do this. I hope our answers weren’t too long or rambling and I hope we answered the questions for you.  The website does have some good background information, but we’re always willing to answer question on the timeline. No one should ever worry about poking one of us and asking something. If we don’t know, we’ll come up with an answer.
