A very sad news report on a dog that killed a four year old boy.

On May 27th, Friday a Cane Corso Mastiff mauled a 4 year old boy killing him. The dog was supposedly a vicious dog trained to kill. The mauling happened just after the boy, his mother, and siblings returned to their apartment. So far no one knows what set off the dog. The dog bit Jayden Graham’s throat and shaked him around. It was already to late when the boys family ripped the dog off of him. He was rushed to Brookdale Hospital and pronounced dead. The boys grandfather commented saying “what a terrible way to die”. When the police arrived they tranquilized the dog and took him to Animal Control. He will be observed for ten days so officials can decide what to with him. The neighbors agreed that it was a terrible and preventable killing and the dog should have been put down.

Then, I greatly simplified his method.

The first thing you can do to stop depression is very simple and totally free: pay attention to the meaning of your dreams. Write down in a daily dream journal whatever you remember from a dream scene, even if it is only an object or a face. You’ll remember more dreams with all their details as you keep writing down your dreams every day.

Then, you should study the dream language. Read my free articles and put my lessons into practice, so that you may be able to translate at least a few parts of your dreams. Even a single dream symbol when properly translated and related to your life story, will already enlighten you.

Dreams provide you with free psychotherapy. Carl Jung managed to discover their real meaning, and their healing power. I completed his work with my discoveries. Then, I greatly simplified his method. This means that by following the scientific method of dream interpretation you will immediately understand the symbolic meaning of the dream images, and have information about your mental stability.

You’ll see that you are depressed basically because:

* You have made many mistakes in life,

* You were a victim of other people’s mistakes,

* You have inherited an absurd content in the wild side of your conscience,

* You live in an absurd world,

* You feel that you cannot change many things in your life.

The unconscious mind will show what you have to do in order to correct all your mistakes and positively transform your personality. You’ll pass through a process of mind development which is also a spiritual transformation.

For example, when you see in your dreams people who you consider absurd, you’ll understand that you are absurd like them in certain things as well. They are parts of your own personality. You’ll stop having the negative behavior imposed by them, and develop the positive characteristics of your personality. This way, your poor heart will finally get rid of the heavy burdens that were causing your depression.

When the negative parts of your personality control your behavior, you do what makes you suffer. You fight with your friends, you have no inclination to work, and you have no motivation to live. Or, you keep remembering how unfair your enemies were to you, without thinking about anything else. Thus, you feel suffocated and unable to face life’s challenges.

You need the explanations of the unconscious mind given in your dreams. You will then understand that you were a victim of someone else’s wickedness because you didn’t pay attention to many revealing details that clearly reflected their bad intentions. You didn’t want to see the bitter truth.

When you understand your own mistakes, you forgive the mistakes of others. When you understand how the human mind works, you stop expecting better reactions from others. You see that the human being is merely an under-developed primate. Your personal problems stop having the importance they had before you had this vision. Your depressing feelings are replaced by knowledge and understanding.

This new attitude gives you energy and hope. You see that you were looking for solutions in the wrong places, and creating your own worst problems. There are real solutions for all problems when you acquire real knowledge.

Christina Sponias continued Carl Jung’s research into the human psyche, discovering the cure for all mental illnesses, and simplifying the scientific method of dream interpretation that teaches you how to accurately translate the meaning of your dreams, so that you can find health, wisdom and happiness.

I love rainy days. You will enjoy them, too, when you try some of these rainy day tips.

Some people do not seem to enjoy rainy days. Maybe that’s because they don’t know how to really enjoy them. There are lots of activities that seem perfect for days when the rain is coming down.

Here are a few of my favorite ways to pass a rainy day.

Pop and old black and white movie into the DVD player. Make it an old thriller or a horror movie and it’s all the better. How about something with Vincent Price? Or, maybe a classic Hitchcock!

Enjoy a novel Your best bet is some old creaky Gothic thing by Sheridan LeFanu or Ann Radcliffe. How about an anthology of vampire or ghost stories! That’s perfect for when the thunder is clattering outside.

This is a great time to bake something. How about some whole wheat bread, your favorite dinner rolls or some old-fashioned chocolate chip cookies!

If all else fails, how about a nap. Rainy days are a perfect opportunity to catch up on your sleep. Cool rainy days are the best for sleeping. Curl up with your favorite blanket, your cat, your dog or your friend and take a nice, refreshing snooze.

How about ordering a pizza? That sounds pretty good.

Since you’re waiting for that pizza, why not break out some great board games like Monopoly or Clue? If you don’t have anyone to play with you a jig-saw puzzle will do nicely.

Rainy days are perfect for playing card games, too. Play a round of rummy, gin or your favorite solitaire game.

Maybe you just can’t seem to relax. That’s all right. Rainy days are a great time to catch up on your house work. Run the vacuum. Do a load of laundry. Finally, get around to that delicate pile that must be hand washed. Give all the bathrooms a good scrubbing. Dust the knick-knacks.

How about a nice, long soak in a hot bath. Don’t worry. If you live in a modern house with PVC pipes, there is no danger of electric shock, whatsoever. You’ll be as safe in your bath tub as you will in any other room in your house. Add some bubble bath. Do some deep conditioning on your hair.

There you go! Now, there is never any need to be bothered by rainy days. You have plenty of pleasant things to do.

Suicide in Australia.

A couple of weeks ago i was surfing the net, where i came across this site which was preventing suicide in Australia. It was there i was shocked to learn how many people die from suicide each year. I was appalled by the figures and it’s important people realise suicide is an serious issue.

In 2008 there were 2191 deaths that occurred by suicide in Australia. Surprisingly the ratio, for male to female suicides is 4:1 respectively. Suicide is responsible for 1-2% of all deaths in Australia. On average someone in Australia commits suicide every 4 hours and this is a serious issue.

The government spends a lot of money on advertising campaigns discouraging speeding and drink driving on our roads, but it seems abundant that more money should be spent on preventing suicide. There are more people who die from suicide in Australia than on our roads so why isn’t the government doing anything about it.

This is something I want to remind everyone. Please take your time to read it, and have a nice Christmas.

I won’t get what I want for Christmas..

Today is the 20th December 2009. I have made a wish-list and everything. I’ve decorated the house and today we got the Christmas-tree. What a nice Christmas. I just can’t wait til the 24th December! (In Denmark, we celebrate Christmas on the 24th December).

But. I want a guitar for Christmas. A pretty expensive one. Of course I want a lot of other things for Christmas but this is the really big thing that will make my Christmas.

Image via Wikipedia

Today I went with my dad to get a gift for his “girlfriend” and to get a Christmas tree. We began to talk about guitars and then suddenly he said.. “The guitar you want is very expensive, and we don’t have money to give that kind of gifts”. This stunned me. I knew that I wasn’t going to get the gift I wanted the most. I’ve been looking at that guitar everywhere on the Internet, watched every video with people playing that guitar on Youtube and looked up the prices at different stores. I REALLY wanted that guitar. But I know now, that I won’t get it.

I had maybe 5 or 6 wishes on my list. So it’s pretty obvious what I will get. My first though was sad and angry. I was angry for a while and I didn’t talk to my dad when we were sitting in the car. We went for the Christmas tree and then I began thinking.

I’m so freaking lucky that I have the opportunity to even MAKE a wish-list. My dad and his girlfriend has money. I don’t know how many, but they have got money. Money enough to celebrate Christmas, decorate the house, set lights up, buy a Christmas tree, invite people, make lots of food, and buy a lot of gifts for me, my brother and everyone else!

Image via Wikipedia

How the hell could I even THINK of complaining about that? I’m used to get pretty much what I want but that’s going to be the last time. I don’t think it’s fair to think like that.

A lot of people doesn’t even celebrate Christmas. They go through this cold and depressing month without lights, red and green colors, gifts, nice food and people who care.

I’m so lucky to be me. And no matter what I will get for Christmas I’ll be so freaking happy for that. Cause what people chose to give me is not for me to decide. I will love everything. Even just one gift.

Image via Wikipedia

Cause that’s what Christmas is about. Christmas is about giving. Christmas is about showing your love. Christmas is about being together with people that you care about, and that’s what I’m going to do.

Yesterday I bought gifts for the people i care the most for. Cause I found out that it feels much better to give than to get.

I hope you’ve been inspired by my words, dear reader.

Have a happy Christmas, and for gods sake.. Enjoy it!

To be a reliable caregiver, you have to be strong. It is encumbent upon you to keep your body and mind in good shape in order to help the ailing.

In order to help yourself cope with some body’s health problem, you must be in good shape yourself. One of the ways to do so is to exercise, keep an open mind, and remember to be patient with the patient. Walk for thirty minutes three or four times a week.

It is not easy to take care of a person who is ill. But if you do so with the proper attitude, calmly and willingly, you would be in a position to deal with your responsibility in a manner that would be conducive , not only to the welfare of the patient, but also conducive to your well being. You would not consider it to be a depressing chore for the reason that you have equipped yourself already with the ability to fulfill your duty with the understanding that you and you alone could enable the patient to maintain his or her equilibrium of support that you provide.

Consider your responsibility as a medium through which you would be doing yourself a favor — an excuse to help yourself in the way of helping your own mind and body which you might otherwise be neglecting under different circumstances. Study showed that regular exercise resulted in less depression on the part of the caregiver, less stress, more energy, and lower blood pressure.

Here are a few tips that might help a caregiver:

l) Pick an exercise that you know such as, walking. Instead of sitting in waiting rooms, use 15 to 20 minutes to walk around the building; 2) Make use of downtime. When your loved one is asleep or goes to adult care, use that time to get moving.

It is easy to overlook the routine of exercising. Think of it as putting on your oxygen mask before helping others on an airplane.

There have been lots of strange or funny events but important in our life that we have faced in the past and after a long time we can see them again in our life and even we may experience them again in the future. Some of them are really delightful and pleasurable. However, some of them could be very painful and depressing like a car accident. What is our idea about those events in the past and now? And may we guess similar incidents in the future according what we have seen already?

It’s clear that everyone must have seen one accident in his life either in his ordinary life or in the news, but in this case sometimes we face some accidents which we don’t know exactly, we must cry for it or break into a laugh! Sometimes, accidents really make us laugh. On the other hand, every accident is painful and may depress us. If you want to ask about my belief in the case of such accidents, I don’t know if they are shocking, depressing, amazing or even laughing – or a combination of those four. Maybe it seems really funny; however, if you look at it carefully, you can find one important point that depresses you. Some of them even are very strange and nobody can believe them. You say yourself; oh, it’s not possible at all. But it really has happened. In fact it could be different for everyone why each of us during our life may see different events in different situations. After each event we try to label each event in our mind; some bad, some good, some funny, some horrible and so on. Therefore in similar events in future, we remind our past memories and make some definition based on what we have seen and what we have labeled in our mind, although, these happen very fast in our mind. Anyway, it may be interesting for us to find out important points about our feelings immediately after seeing an incident like car accident. At the end there may be an interesting question in our mind whether it is possible to use our past memories and emotions in our daily activities at present to prevent or even predict bad events may happen for us; for example a car accident?! What we need is to make a good relationship between obvious parameters in the past like feelings and memories and unknown variables in the future such as coming incidents. We need to see, remind, think and finally understand everything around us even a small car accident. Maybe, it’s possible.

A heartwarming depiction of a young man (Forrest Clemons) and his mental struggle with the passion of depression.

Hello fellow bloggers, i am addressing an issue that is of grave importance to me. Emos. To me, they are a lost cause. Emos do several things that puts them into the Emo category. For one, they are depressing. I don’t like depressing people, they depress me. Yes, I do believe people have the right to be depressed, it’s America. But when they deliberately rain on my parade and ruin my good mood, well then they’ve just gone too far. I want to reverse the Emo gene. When I hear them talk I just want to give them a big hug and a bible.

Also, their appearance. With all the black they wear, I think they are going to depress me, then rob me. And… what the hell is up with guys wearing makeup? Before Emos, any guy who wore eyeliner was either in a play, or was a drag queen (usually gay). They also wear tight woman’s jeans, and that doesn’t help the fact that they supposedly not gay. And the hair, it’s either gelled and spiked as if styled by an ape on cocaine, or it’s straitened and covering their eyes. I like it better when it’s over their eyes because they cannot see me mocking them.

The other thing that irks me about them, is the fact that they cut themselves. Granted that is a stereotype and not all Emos do it, but the ones who do agitate me. They intentionally inflict pain upon themselves for reasons i still don’t fully understand. For the most part it seems it’s a distraction from emotional pain, and that is creepy as hell. To avoid emotional pain, I watch TV, or hang out with friends, or blog, or anything else excluding self-mutilation. I think they should cut the wrists of life with the knife of love.

Apologies to my loyal blog-reading citizens, but i must depart from my temporarily sedentary typing condition. So please until next time, don’t be depressed, live happily. On your metaphorical toast of life, grab a jar of joy, and spread the love (I bolded that line because it is important, and i thought it was funny). Until next time (because as we both know u enjoyed this so there will be a next time), stay happy, enjoy life, and let love guide you. Sincerely,

Depression state.

Happiness can easily be taken away from you in a blink of an eye, and you don’t even have a say or a chance to control to your fate. It’s a painful experience because you will go on to learn that half of yourself have died.

I was planned to get married this coming December however all of the plans and dreams had gone to blank like a bubble that was pinned and burst. Like the lights had been switched off in my life and it felt so lost in my life especially like last September.

I lost someone, in a mysterious way for I gone to loose him without rhyme and reason. The communication died out with a very unusual way. I don’t even know if his alive or not because I tried to use all of my resources yet nothing became fruitful up to now. No replies…No ringing of the phone…Nothing at all.

There wasn’t a day, up to now, that I cried my heart out for the slice of heaven that I thought would last me a lifetime had been taken away from me. I cried my heart out to the Lord yet I never received my miracle that my fiancé would return back to me.

Depression had swallowed me whole… I prayed in every evening that I would wake up from the nightmare, while in every morning hoped that I could survive the day’s lost cause for living. What makes you genuinely smile? I don’t have any reason anymore to smile…even if I laugh it doesn’t mean that I’m happy, it’s just a fake laugh that doesn’t mean anything… passiveness..

My life no longer resembles me…no more of the very creative, exciting and highly motivated individual who can inspire others to believe in themselves. The vibrant torch in me has dimmed out which many of my students can see inside out. I only come to realize that the eyes are really the mirror of the soul that many was able to peek into. An emotional rollercoaster many had gone to say and I would wake up from one day…

How do you end this article? With hope? With prayers? I don’t know…One day I may find my answer.

I believe it is important to recognize these issues.

Canada has rapidly improved in it’s responsibility of protecting endangered animal species in the last few years but can still introduce more laws and regulations for the protection of the species at risk. There are approximately five hundred fifty-six endangered animal species in Canada; here are twenty-six highlighted out of the five hundred fifty-six of them: the Wood Turtle, the Olive Sided Fly Catcher, the Freshwater Seal, the Eastern Massasauga Rattlesnake, the North Atlantic Right Whale, Vancouver Island Marmot, Sea Otter, Sei Whale, Trumpeter Swan, Whooping Crane, Pronghorn, Piping Plover, Loggerhead Turtle, Eastern Cougar, Eskimo Curlew, Banff Snail, Burrowing Owl, Bison, Kangaroo Rat, Peary Caribou, Peregrine Falcon, Polar Bear, Woodland Caribou, Bull Trout, Furrugious Hawk and the Northern Leopard Frog. (Sources two, seventeen and eight)

For many years Canada had no laws in place to protect endangered animal species. In 1996 a bill was brought to notice by the government, referred to as Bill C-65. This bill aimed to prevent animal species extinction throughout Canada by providing the animals with safe locations where they can’t be shot, but it failed. The bill caused plenty of controversy because many people believed it did nothing to save the endangered species on Federal lands. Later in 1996, Canada’s Minister responsible for Canadian wildlife supported the “National Accord for the protection of Species at risk.” The accord was supposed to provide basic protection for endangered animals and their habitats across Canada, but even as it got closer to the new millennium, Canada was not successfully completing the requirements of the National Accord. New Brunswick, Ontario and Quebec all have protected areas for the environment but still need to finish the goals of the Accord and meet the needs of species at risk. In 2003 people who were concerned formed the Species at Risk Act organization. A year later another law was finally put in action to make harming the endangered animals illegal and punishable by fines; unfortunately, there was usually no one to enforce this law. Now, in 2008, the fines can range from fifty thousand to one million dollars just for shooting an endangered animal! However the lack of enforcement still posed a problem. (Sources one, twelve and sixteen)

The Species at Risk Act (SARA) was created in June 2003 to protect Canada’s endangered animal species. SARA is one of three national protection groups that protects and provides a safe habitat for Canada’s endangered animal species. SARA was established to accomplish many things. Some of their goals for the future are to establish a committee of experts to study and identify species at risk. Use their knowledge to define an action to save the animals, make regulations to protect the listed species and their habitat, and to write a user-friendly logbook for the public to understand how to follow the law. The act must be in agreement with and respect treaty rights and both provincial and federal governments. It provides federal legislation to prevent wildlife species from becoming extinct and to aid their recovery. (Sources eleven and fourteen)

With all the species that are endangered and not enough being done about it, you may wonder, how you as an individual can help? There are several techniques you can employ to assist endangered animals and give them a second chance. You can learn about the animals that are endangered; visit a national wildlife protection or nature centre and volunteer to assist; you can support animals by making a donation through mail or online. Another way of protecting the endangered animal species throughout Canada is to watch out for them and respect their habitat when you are in the wild regardless of what you are doing. If you think you might need to interfere with their habitat, make sure you obtain a permit before doing anything that would not follow the requirements of SARA. Reporting any offense to official animal protectors that you know that has been or will be committed will also help save the endangered animal species and their habitat. (Sources seven and thirteen)

When you mention the word “endangered species,” many people think of well-known, large animals. But to be endangered can also mean small animals like the piping plover. Endangered species in Canada are animals that are threatened with extirpation (meaning non-existent in the country) or global extinction. Animals that are endangered need our immediate attention but can still be rescued in time if we protect them and guard them. When an animal is endangered there is still time to protect them but it also means we need to be more careful and to realize something is wrong. (Sources four, five and six)

It is believed that the loss of endangered animals is higher now than ever before; one in eight birds are endangered around the world and of four hundred twenty-eight regular bird species in Canada, sixty are entitled endangered. Much of this is a result of human logging, mining, agriculture, poaching and pollution that upsets nature’s balance and causes animal population to become endangered and can eventually leads to extinction. Two hundred thirty-three species in Canada are protected by the Species at Risk Act, which “depends on all Canadians and their willingness to act to make sure that all species at risk survive. Cooperation, stewardship and protection are essential to conserving species.” The problem is not a new one as thirty wildlife species became extinct when the Europeans first came to Canada, resulting to groups all over Canada protecting the endangered animals. Canada is losing species, which dramatically affects our ecosystem. We expect the government to stop this, but if all Canadians’ minds are poisoned with these same thoughts nothing will happen for the animals except the rapid decrease of Canada’s species. (Source two, thirteen seventeen and nineteen)

Indeed, many conclude that Canada is improving their protection of the endangered species but can still do much more. It is well said by the words of many protectors of the endangered species. “Canada is failing its duty of care toward the nation’s wildlife. We want Canada to take the Species at Risk Act seriously.”- Julie Gelfand, President of Nature Canada. Another important quote that was asked by Devon Page, Sierra Legal Lawyer, is said, “When is a law not a law… When it’s a national law to protect the environment.” He referred upon the fact that the government had a law active for years allowing the federal government to protect the environment, but never enforced it! From Joe Scott of Washington – based Conversation Northwest, “From where we’re standing it looks like the trade agreements are failing the environment…. Most Americans see Canada as a vast wilderness teaming with wildlife, but unless Canada protects its wilderness areas, the perspective is going to change.” Finally, Rachel Plotkin of the Sierra Club of Canada announced, “Both the past and current governments have failed to use the Species at Risk Act to protect our country’s endangered animals. The current government talks about replacing talk with action but the only actions that we’re seeing is them walk away from the owl and other wildlife species. ” (Source nine)

The Species at Risk Act has greatly helped with the to increase the population of endangered animals over the past few years. One endangered species that they have helped immensely is the whooping crane. The whooping crane species were almost extinct in the 1940’s with only sixteen of these birds left. But since the Species at Risk Act organization became involved in protecting the threatened and endangered species of Canada, the number of whooping cranes has increased to approximately three hundred! The endangerment of the whooping crane species is not just a result of people setting traps or accidentally shooting them; They also face the problems of diminishing wetlands, colliding with power lines, suffering from fires and cold springs where the chicks have little time to grow up and be strong enough to survive the winter. Most of these dilemmas when at the arrival of the whooping crane migration. (Source page 13 from source ten and fifteen)

Even though Canada and its government have worked hard in the last few years to improve upon their methods of protecting the endangered animals there is still lots to be done.

We should be more cautious in our interactions with all Canada’s endangered animal species, and be respectful of their habitat. We should not continue ignoring their plight as former generations have done. Putting that aside, I am proud to be Canadian and I hope to see a better future for Canada’s endangered animal species. I look forward to what the government, and you and I, will do to protect them.
