Anyone familiar with the car at night driving three hours, then just as fit as he would have 0.8 per thousand.

Long night rides have an impact on driving performance similar to alcohol consumption.

In developed countries about 20 percent of all traffic accidents are caused by driver fatigue. Driver fatigue can have various causes such as medication or long travel times.

Also the influence of alcohol plays a role for increased fatigue when driving at night. In a recent study of the effect of the length of time driving at night with the influence of alcohol were compared on ability to drive (J Sleep Res 2011; 20: 585-588).

In a crossover design, 14 healthy volunteers (male, mean age 23.4 ± 1.7 years, mean driving distance per year 14 250 ± 4660 km) was investigated. They underwent three different lengths of time driving on the open road blocks at night. The travel times were two hours (03:00 to 5:00 h), four hours (1:00 to 5:00 h) and eight hours (21:00 to 5:00 h).

The primary end point and measure the increasing restriction of the ability to drive was the deviation of lateral position and Standard deviation (SDLP) measured for the measurement of the vehicle equipped with video in centimeters in the last hour’s drive. From this, a “weaving pattern” could (English = to weave stagger) of the vehicle are described.

The video system measured ten times per second, the lateral position of the vehicle selected from the right side of the road. Data were then compared with known effects of alcohol affect driving ability and the SDLP.
Two hours of night driving – as fit as 0.5 per thousand

The lateral deviations of the vehicle took to the length of travel time. A night-ride of two hours of driving ability as equivalent to a blood alcohol level of 0.5 parts per thousand, after three hours of even 0.8 per thousand.

These results differed significantly. Between four and eight hours of travel time were, however, no other significant differences.

Conclusion: At long continuous driving time at night leads to similar restrictions on the ability to drive under the influence of alcohol. Especially during night driving should be filed within two hours after a pause.

“The study impressively demonstrated the impact of increasing fatigue on driving performance during long night drives,” says Professor Kurt Rasche from the Helios Klinikum Barmen, Wuppertal, the current data.

It would be clear that the responsibility of the driver is required even when driving at night especially.

Christmas is about of getting together to enjoy a meal regardless of your income.

You have most probably been made redundant and are living on unemployment benefits. We know that these don’t go a long way. After paying few bills and buying some food, most of the money has gone. Christmas arrive and you probably think it is going to be a bleak one, because you won’t be able to buy good presents for all. You can’t afford your turkey with all the trimmings and a lot of food everywhere in your kitchen. You may probably say that you aren’t in the mood to celebrate. What’s the use if you can’t join in countless parties and shop for all what you wish? You may say.

However, if you are still getting unemployment benefits or an income of some sorts, you can count yourself as a lucky person. Christmas isn’t only about shopping, buying expensive presents for all and partying away.

Food

You probably think that this year you can’t afford your turkey with all the trimmings, but as far I know these trimmings are different vegetables and a stuffing. How do you make a stuffing? There are many ways to do it and not all them are costly. It is a matter of knowing how to cook, using imagination. The veggies and spuds are still affordable, thanks God! You may go to the big supermarket or you may shop for food locally in farmers markets. If after all, you think you can’t afford your turkey with all the trimmings, why does it have to be turkey year in and year out? There are loads of recipes which are just as delicious to share with your family. After all what matters is getting together around a table to enjoy a meal to play and to sing carols afterwards.

Presents

In past years, we’ve taken into the trend to buy expensive presents influenced as we have been by TV commercials. Your children may want the latest gadget and you may wish to treat your folks with gift vouchers in these day trendy spas, or a fur coat or whatever. But the best thing of receiving a present is the present itself -not the price of it.

Gatherings

It is fine to reunite with friends and colleagues few days before Christmas Day, but it doesn’t necessarily have to be in a posh hotel. You may get together in the local pub or even at home. Every participant may collaborate with some money to buy drinks and snacks. You can play Cd’s to listen together or to dance away. What matters is getting together to have a good time.

Santa, the Three Kings, children and their presents

You may have small children that of course they still think that Santa or the three Wise Men aren’t you. They will write their letters asking many things that you won’t be able to afford. It is time to talk with them. You don’t have to unveil them the secret, but you can tell them that… It is up to you what story you tell them, but this will be a lot better that seeing your children with a sour face when they find on the next morning that they haven’t received what they had asked for. Children have to know that times aren’t as good as they were and Santa or the three Wise Men are having some financial difficulties. They will understand, because they are more understanding than we may think.

Outside home

In every city or town, streets are joyously decorated with countless coloured lights. Carols sound endlessly out of every shop. Go out for the sake of going out to have a good stroll. You don’t have to shop for anything -just strolls to look around. You may go with your family or you may go alone. There are also plenty of activities such as Christmas concerts, exhibitions to join in and many of them are free. Search for what’s in town at Christmas that won’t break your bank

There is no reason whatsoever to be in a mood or sad, because you can’t celebrate as you did in past years. As I say, if you are getting an income of some sorts no matter how small it is you can count yourself a fortunate one -there are many others that don’t even have what you have.

37-years-old supermodel, entrepreneur, and well known TV-star Tyra Banks had a super vacation in Mexico with his boyfriend John Utendahl.

Watch vacation pictures from here!

From pictures you can see, that her body is still pretty okay.

We hope that she stays like this forever, although it is impossible.

When we look at her body, it actually looks kinda fat for a supermodel.

but, if this fat doesn’t border her, why should it border us? It’s her body and it is sexy from some view.

Hope you liked my article. Leave a comment.

A detailed guide on how to throw the perfect Fourth of July get together.

So the fourth of July is coming up and your thinking about having a barbecue, you may be confused on the planning and where to start. These are the main things you need to be having a checklist for.

Entertainment-you don’t want your guests to be bored!

House/yard-there’s nothing worse than being embarrassed by how you property looks

Food/drink-well you can’t have a barbecue without meat and a cooler

Room-you don’t want your guests to be over crowded

People Coming-you need a list of people who would come

Okay, so now that we have the basic to-do list I will elaborate a little.

Entertainment- Most of the adults will just sit around and talk but you want there children to be comfortable too, you can have games like boccie ball or like corn hole. Kids also love jumping on trampolines.

Image via Wikipedia

House/yard- As I said before you really don’t want to be embarrassed by how your yard looks. The day before make sure that you mow and do the normal lawn routine. It also looks nice if you have lots of flowers and landscaping looks very nice. You can spend a small fortune on landscaping brick. Once you have all of your brick just stack them in front of the flowers. It looks amazing if you use layers with the block. Make sure you use a leveling tool to make all of the blocks the same height from the ground and so that they are all level with each other. We recently finished doing this with our yard and we have seen people walking buy our house and pointing and saying “Wow that looks really nice.”

Food- you can’t have a group of people together without providing food. Traditionally you would just put things on the grill but that can be a little expensive so you can always ask people to bring salads and deserts or you could even have a potluck. As for drinks you want lots and a variety like lemonade, soda, if your old enough beer, and just plain old water. You should keep these cold so put them in either an ice-filled cooler or your fridge.

Space- If you don’t have room for everyone that’s coming you can always go to the nearest park. You just don’t want people to feel like they are crowded.

People Coming- I think invites are the most stressful part of the entire operation. You want to invite all the people close to you ,but you probably don’t have the room for it. One thing you could do is come up with a number of people that you have room and food for. Then make a list of people to come try to prioritize on your list and when making this list and trying to fit it accordingly to your maximum people remember you want to invite the entire family not just the adults otherwise they might not be able to come because of the babysitter issue. When inviting remember to be casual and don’t force them to go.

If you have any questions or you would like to add to or elaborate on the items in the article please feel free to comment below.

When they Die

When Sonu was born, his father was so happy that he invited all the villagers to a feast. His grandfather was personally welcoming the guests. A huge tent had been erected and his grandfather, a landlord, spent lavishly. The guests ate to their contentment and they blessed the new born child.

Though Sonu was born in a village, near a big town, his father and grandfather never let him feel that he was in anyway inferior to the children of the town-dwellers. He began to go to a school in the town at the age of four. His grandfather had made arrangement with the driver of a taxi that picked the child every morning and brought him back after the school.

When he was around ten, his mother passed away. She had been suffering from breast cancer. His father and grandfather left no stone unturned but they were unable to save her. During her treatment, his grandfather had to sell a big piece of land. The villagers advised him not to try to save her because it was a gone case but the old man wanted to do his best to save his daughter-in-law.

After the death of his mother, scarcity began to be felt, for his father took to bottle and he stopped going to work. His grandfather had some money saved by but his father spent it all on his drinks. In a few years, he was a confirmed alcoholic. He began to stay away from home and when he came back he fought with the boy’s grandfather and forced him to arrange some money.

When Sonu was fourteen, they had no land left in that village. His father died of liver ailment, though his grandfather tried to save him by selling all his property. They had to leave the grandfather’s house.

Now, the grandfather and Sonu began to live in a room in town. The boy had already left his studies. He had never known scarcity in his childhood but now the circumstances were different. He began to do odd jobs to earn some money to buy food for his grandfather and himself.

One evening, Sonu was sitting at the pavement near a shopping complex. He was selling vegetables. An old lady was standing across the road. Suddenly, she ran forward to cross the road. There was a young boy with the old lady. While running across the road, she was holding the young boy’s hand but in one movement everything changed. A lorry was approaching them. The young boy pulled his hand and jumped backward. The old lady got crushed under the tyres of the lorry.

A crowd of people gathered there. The driver of the lorry was caught. The old lady died on the spot but the boy who was with her was unhurt. The driver was taken to the police station. It was sure that he would have to pay the compensation.

Sonu collected his vegetables and lifted the basket. Carrying that basket, he began to walk towards his room.

His feet stopped when he heard, “That boy pushed the lady under the lorry.”

Another voice said, “He will get at least one million.”

One said, “They often do, these young ones, this new generation. They are killing their elders like this and getting rich.”

Another said, “Some of them throw their children in front of running vehicles to get rich.”

One said, “It was not the mistake of the lorry driver. He was driving properly. I saw the boy push the old lady.”

Someone said, “There is a village where people bring old people near the road and wait for buses and trucks to throw them in front of them. Many such cases have occurred there.”

Another said, “This world is going to end soon.”

Carrying the basket of the vegetables on his head, Sonu began to run towards his room. His grandfather was waiting for him. He threw the basket down and hugged his grandfather tightly.

“Grandfather, please don’t leave me. I can’t live without you.”

The old man was surprised but he was happy that his grandson loved him so much.

“Son, I have good news for you. We had some land in a village, about sixty miles away from this place. I had been fighting a case. My lawyer informed me this morning that I have won the case and now I can sell the land,” smiled his grandfather.

“I don’t want any land, grandfather. I want you to be with me,” the boy hugged him more tightly.

“The land is worth three million now. You are going to be a rich young man, my son,” the grandfather softly patted him on his head.

“No, grandfather, I don’t want to be rich. I want to continue my studies.”

“You are just like me. I always wanted to study but I had to work to live. Yes, my son, you will study.”

I haven't had a drink in four months, and it has been a great trip so far!

So it has been four months since I’ve had a drop of alcohol. I have not had a sip of beer, wine or anything containing booze since October 2010.

Me decision to stop drinking was due to me always having a beer in my hand. No matter was I doing, working on the car, working on the lawn, watching TV, doing homework, it seemed that I was always drinking. I don’t remember ever getting drunk, maybe a little tipsy once and a while, but I always seemed to have a drink.

This was not the message I ever wanted to give to my children. I always hated the hypocrisy of some parents when they would tell their children not to smoke, while they were smoking. They would tell them not to drink, while they were drinking. What makes this hypocrisy worse is that the parents were always having a good time while doing it, then telling their children how bad it was for them. So children quickly pick up that these are key words parents are supposed to say, but if you want to have a good time, drink and smoke.

Now I understand that kids are smart. Most likely the children would view their parent’s behavior and think, I will never drink or smoke like they do. That leaves children with only two views of their parents; as hypocrite for doing what they tell their children what not to do, or as weak individuals who do things they know they are not supposed to do.

Either way, as a father of three daughters, I did not want my children to see me in either light.

In the last four months I have not had any issues with alcohol. The first few weeks were very difficult to stop drinking. I craved the carbs and sugars continuously. It was very hard to break the habit. After the physical cravings, it was difficult when going out with friends for lunch or dinner. They looked at me strangely and felt uncomfortable ordering drinks around me. whenever you tell someone that you stopped drinking you always get the same question; “why was it a problem?” then they look even weirder at you when you say no it wasn’t you just didn’t want it to be one.

The first benefit I saw immediately was sleep. Immediately I noticed I was able to sleep fully and soundly at night. No longer was I getting up for the bathroom. I wasn’t lying in bed looking at the ceiling. I wasn’t waking up with an upset stomach. Or anything. I was sleeping thronging the night and waking up rested.

Another benefit was the money being saved. I used to spend between 25-30 dollars a weekend on beer and drinks for me and the wife. There is a saving of 100 dollars a month. If we went out to eat I would get a few beers. Whenever you get a beer at dinner the restaurant rips you off for the price of beer. So just by me not drinking we easily saved about 200 dollars a month.

Of course the greatest benefit is seeing the new respect my children have for me. They look at me differently and talk to me differently. I hope they see that I overcame a weakness in an effort to make us stronger and to help build their character.

An interesting thing I found about staying awake.

We all love to be awake, stay up late, have fun. Sometimes, our body just won’t let us. Because of this, we resort to caffeine and energy drinks. The truth is, however, that these dont keep lasting, and not to mention they are bad for you. I recently found how to stay awake longer without having to drink caffeine.

So what is it, you ask? The answer is so simple. You feel tired when you sit and watch television, or lie down. I can guarantee you if you use this method long enough, which usually is not long at all, you will feel great and energized. The method: Move.

Its that simple… just move.

I found this out while taking my dog for a walk. I felt very tired, almost to the point of passing out. My dog came up and licked my face, and that’s her way of saying “Time for a walk!” So I grabbed her leash and went around the block. When I returned home, I was amazed at how energetic I felt. It felt like I was wide awake.

So, next time you’re awake, try it. 99% of the time this will work for you to!

Well! New Year is about to dawn and the old year will fade into memories. While we celebrate the arrival, we often indulge in nostalgia for the year passed. Talking of celebrating, my colleagues at my place of work have been planning binges for a week now. January 1st. not being a holiday has dampened their spirits. Being in “High Spirits” in the night can’t be good for work the next day. Some are planning various sicknesses to skip work. I am actually expecting some “Leave Letters”, that should read,

Sir,

I will be sick with some sickness tomorrow. I will let you know what sickness I am sick with when the doctor tells me which sickness is making me sick. I need a leave of absence for one day, The January 1st 2011. Please grant leave and oblige.

Thanking you,

Xxxxxx

The official documentation is now complete. I cannot refuse leave because it is for sickness. So I have to sanction the leave. That is the rule. This is the present situation.

As for the nostalgia, what we did to welcome the year 2010 comes to mind.

We were a motley crew of five people. All assembled to erect a brand new factory. Two were retired engineers, working just because their wives wanted them out of their hair. Two were youngsters who had the habit of passing out at every party. One was of the age which was neither here nor there, me. What was common to all of us was that we were working at a place far away from home. Just for clarity, let me name them. Semo (Senior most), Setome (Senior to me), Me (bala), Jutome (Junior to me) and Jumo (Junior most)

We had a planned merry time and what happened was this

The Plan: It was simple. Eat till we burst, Drink till we floated and make merry. A bottle of the favorite drink, a double helping of the choice food and some munchies and sodas as a backup was on the menu. Every one swore to do their fair share of work. When it was time to buy, we delegated the jobs.

The work detail:

Semo pulled rank. “Bala get me a bottle of whisky”

Setome joined the bandwagon. “Bala get me Vodka”

Jutome asked me. “Sir, do you mind getting me some Rum when you are there?”

Jumo said. “Sir, please, a six pack of strong beer, please?”

And coke!

And Sparkling water!

And Fresh lime cordiale!

And chicken fries!

And fish fingers! (I didn’t know fish had fingers.)

And kebabs!

And boiled Eggs!

And French fries!

And peanuts!

And paper plates!

And disposable glasses!

And plastic cutlery!

At this time some expression on my usually deadpan face told them that I was actively contemplating the life of a mass murderer as a viable alternative to my life. They generously offered to buy themselves their smokes and I went out to buy the “Stuff”. I came back in record time despite the early revelers and the rush at the liquor counter. And the party started.

The first peg and the philosopher:

Semo poured the first peg to greet the New Year and let out a deep sigh. “Each passing year brings closer to death, only good people have good death, we should be good”

Setome “Yes sir, we should resolve to be good, good death is the only good thing.”

Jutome “Yes sir, but we are good sir, so we will die first-class sir.”

Jumo “Yes sir, we have to become better sir, to die good and proper sir”

The second peg and the resolution:

Semo “I will not drink sodas again!” “Concentrated sugar and strong chemicals”

Setome “Yes sir, very bad, should cut down first”

Jutome “Yes sir, reduce sir, slowly and steadily sir”

Jumo “Yes sir, bad problem sir, little by little sir, not sudden sir”

So sparkling water was watered down with whiskey,

Coke diluted with Rum.

Lime cordiale thinned with Gin.

Rum was squeezed into beer.

After this I expect you to understand how insulting it would be to Indian tradition of celebrating New Year, if I tell you the rest of the events in the party. It will be sufficient to say they floated; they crashed and they slept like babies, yes! Like babies, never mind the vomit.

In case you are wondering what I was doing, I was popping peanuts and chewing them to death. It could have been grating my teeth actually. I am not allowed drinks as I am a diabetic. I slept hungry as I veggies I brought as my food was devoured by these animals.

New Year is an occasion to party, but please, please, please be controlled and be good! Wish you all people

A Happy and prosperous New Year!

Ideal foods to be served on a New Year's party.

Everyone surely loves parties. In just a few days, a lot of people are certainly going to throw New Year’s parties. So, why don’t you organize your own party and invite your family and friends? Then again, aside from the decorations, songs, and games, make sure to take care of the food well.

Finger foods are ideal New Year’s party foods. The New Year is supposed to be celebrated with a bang. Hence, do not expect your guests to just sit around and wait for the New Year. Of course, people will dance and have fun. They might pause for a while during fireworks displays. But after that, the party continues. With finger foods, they can just come and go at the buffet table.

Punch is present in almost every party. It is good for any person of any age. So, if your party is open to all, punch is ideal to be served as drinks.

You may also serve potato chips and other snacks. In addition, do not forget the cakes and other pastries. These foods are easy to prepare and eat. If your New Year’s party is more of like a reunion, however, you may serve various meals and wine.
