The land consists mainly of heavy elements – metals and minerals. The center has a very dense core of iron and nickel. This core is surrounded by a mantle of very diverse chemical composition. Outside the Earth is covered with 30-km crust of basalt and granite. It is divided into 20 huge platform, or tectonic plates, which are closely related to each other. Plates float on the surface of the hot, partially molten rock. Placed over the cortex earth land and sea. The land is divided into six continents. Here’s how the earth are called six continents:

Australia – 8 mln.kv.km
North America – 24 mln.kv.km
Eurasia – 54 mln.kv.km
South America – 18 mln.kv.km
Africa – 30 mln.kv.km
Antarctica – 13 mln.kv.km

Plates move at speeds ranging from 1.3 to 10 cm per year

Oceans away from each other at 1 – 10 cm per year.

The equatorial diameter of Earth is 12 756 km.

The diameter of the Earth from North Pole to the South is 12 714 km.

Weight of the Earth is about 6 sextillion tons (6000000000000000000000 tons).

Complete revolution around the Earth on its axis makes for one day. When on the sunlit part of Earth Day is on the opposite side of the reigns night. As the rotation of the earth begins to highlight the previously shaded side, and the night gives way to day. During the day it seems that the sun moves across the sky. In fact, moving is not the Sun and Earth.

In addition, there are oceans on Earth, covering more than 70% of its surface, its average depth is 3,800 meters. Thus, the land – the only planet in the solar system whose surface is mostly covered with water. In addition, it has a rather dense atmosphere, consisting of: N – 78.08%, Oxygen – 20.95%, argon – 10% of inert gases – 0.94%. The lower layers of the atmosphere called the troposphere, which extends to heights of 10-12 km. In it the temperature decreases with height, and then starts the stratosphere (height from 10-12 to 80 km.) – A layer with a constant temperature of around -40 ° C. Next comes the ionosphere – the ionized atmosphere. The Earth has one satellite – the Moon

All we have is one earth.

Started in 1970 by John McConnell of the US, the earth day was originally held on the annual celebration of the March Equinox and is still followed by many people. However it is generally celebrated throughout the world on April 22, the Earth Day designated by the UN and April, the earth month.
A day to think about how special the Earth is to us, a day special for the whole world with innumerable celebrations, events or campaigns and other activities that concern the earth in every way.
You can do something as small as planting a tree or taking part in a community clean up or any other interesting project in the neighborhood.
You might also be surprised to know that “One man’s trash is another man’s treasure! Get creative and think if that particular item would have any other use, before throwing it away. It was surprising when a news item on the television showed how vegetative refuse, outer leaves of cabbage and greens are used to feed fish. It has been proven that such recycling and reuse helps not only enhance the fish yield, but in turn helps to reduce that burden on the earth.
There are chances that someone out there is willing to take just about any item you have and save it from reaching the bin. Where the bin would have been would be the place for a plant with a lovely flower.
Get crafty with all those colourful gift wraps. Reuse that old colourful scarf which you might just throw away as a gift wrap.
There are so many organizations collecting unused papers, notebooks and also magazines, story books for kids who might really treasure them.
Make newspaper bags, beads, paper toys out of old newspapers.
An odd shaped plastic bottle could make a wonderful vase.
You can contribute to make Earth Day a meaningful day if you think
Remember,Reduce,Reuse,Recycle,Repair.
Happy Earth Day

The Earth Day celebrates its 40th anniversary on 22 April. Despite the projects and efforts to protect the planet, the organizers paint a disturbing report. They want to denounce the actions harmful to the environment posed in everyday life.

“Without even realizing it, we put all the daily actions affect our planet. That’s why our campaign theme for the game of war, to celebrate our carelessness vis-à-vis our violent behavior towards the environment, “said Pierre Lussier, Director of Earth Day in Quebec.

He said that these actions may seem harmless at first, but they have a devastating impact on biodiversity, for example the use of detergents containing phosphate.

“Another gesture that is often unconsciously, is to eat foods that contain corn syrup. How these vast lands are cultivated corn becomes a problem for biodiversity. Of course it’s the syrup that costs less to sweeten cereals and soft drinks. But sugar is harmful to both the planet and our health by making us fat, “says Pierre Lussier.

Biodiversity is the central theme of this year’s Earth Day. The year 2010 has also been declared the International Year of Biological Diversity, the United Nations General Assembly.
A walk to act

On this day the Earth nearly 800 activities1 will be held across Quebec, including a collective work in downtown Montreal, to invite everyone to take action to protect their planet. This popular event will start from the Place Jean-Paul Riopelle (Viger Street, corner Saint-Urbain) at 11 h 30.

Over 180 countries participate in Earth Day. In Quebec, the event is emphasized since 1995.

Quebecers are invited, Friday, April 22 to celebrate Earth Day. A celebration that aims to invite young and old to mobilize and take positive action for the environment.

One of the actions proposed by the organizers is to opt for public transportation on Friday to reduce our environmental impact. So, like last year, 100,000 passes to use in an unlimited public transit services in Quebec are available free on the Internet, as part of the campaign with a ami1.

“Everyone recognizes the importance of taking care of the Earth. The planet is in a dramatic and one way to do our part as individuals is to emphasize the bus and subway to reduce pollution and its impact on health, “says the actress Edith Cochrane, spokesman campaign with a friend.

“This is a simple, easy and economical to move. This day is a good opportunity to tame public transportation for people who normally travel by car alone, “she adds.

A host of activities

A host of other activities throughout the course of April. More than 50 museums, cultural and educational organize workshops, conferences, exhibitions and other pro-environmental activities in 30 cities in 12 regions of Quebec.

For those interested, the contest area biodiversité2 continues until Friday. It offers quizzes on the theme of this year, biodiversity. Participation in five questionnaires online makes you eligible for prizes totaling nearly $ 20 000.

Born to a U.S. initiative April 22, 1970, the Earth Day is celebrated in the same day each year in Quebec since 1995. More than 500 million people in 184 countries celebrate the annual Earth Day, making it participatory environmental movement’s most important in the world.

EARTH BE FRIENDS!

Do we ever realize where we are today? We as humans live on Earth began from birth, child, growing up, until we die. We are deeply indebted to the Earth, the planet we live on this beloved.

But, how much we have been polluting the Earth, destroying the Earth, and make this Earth to be no longer beautiful? Sometimes we do not realize that our actions are very damaging to the Earth and was impressed not thank the Earth who have rendered many of the Earth.

Therefore, we must begin to change our lives so that our actions are no longer destroy the Earth. Of course we are humans who can not do everything. So, we just do the deeds we can do and do not need to push yourself. If we can only do simple things, yes we do these simple things. Do not just because of the simple things that our buses do, we are ashamed to do it so we do not do anything. But we also have to develop yourself so I can do even greater things. Most important is the intention and sincerity.

Small things we can do for example is throwing trash in its place, to save electricity, save on fuel oil and much more.

Maybe we’re bored with the words “Throw Trash In Place”. We hear those words ever since we were kids into adulthood. But are we already doing that we consider this simple? Maybe yes, maybe no. Sometimes for a large garbage we remember, but if a small trash such as pieces of paper, plastic, or snack packs, we just throw begirtu. If we’re in class, then we put the garbage dikolong table. if there diangkot then placed under a seat.

It was not only done by children, but also by adults. That suggests that the most important is self-awareness. Age had no effect on a person’s attitude. The most influential is the consciousness. That’s the most important. So is the use of electricity and water. We always assume that more people are using more water than ourselves, so we think if we save, it still would not be useful. That is a fallacy. If everyone is thinking it, then nothing will save it? We must instill the mind of all things good things it must start from ourselves. Do not wait for someone else untuik do good things.

Therefore, it is to safeguard our environment, our beloved Earth’s environment is, do a small thing because something big was not there before there was a small thing. If the little things done by many people, the little things that would be a great thing. If a thousand people throw garbage at the place and keep it clean, then the area will be clean. But if a thousand people for littering, then of course the area will be very dirty at all.

We need the closeness to the our environment.

Do we ever realize where we are today? We as humans live on Earth began from birth, child, growing up, until we die. We are deeply indebted to the Earth, the planet we live on the beloved.

But, how much we have contaminated the Earth, destroying the Earth, and make beautiful the Earth is becoming no more? Sometimes we do not realize that our actions are very damaging to the Earth and seem ungrateful to the Earth that has contributed much to the Earth.

Therefore, we must begin to change our lives so that our deeds are no longer destroy the Earth. Of course we are humans who can not do everything. So, we just do the deeds we can do and do not need to push yourself. If we can only do simple things, yes we do these simple things. Do not just because of the simple things that our buses do, we are ashamed to do it so we do not do anything. But we also have to develop themselves in order to do things bigger. Most important is the intention and sincerity.

The little things we can do for example is throwing trash in its place, to save electricity, save fuel oil and many lagi.Mungkin we’re tired with the words “Throw Trash In Place”. We hear those words ever since we were kids into adulthood. But are we already doing that we consider this simple? Maybe yes, maybe no.Sometimes for a large garbage we remember, but if such small pieces of paper trash, plastic, or snack packs, we just throw begirtu. If we’re in class, then we put the rubbish dikolong table. if there diangkot then placed under the seat.

It was not only done by children, but also by adults. That suggests that the most important is self-awareness. Age had no effect on a person’s attitude. The most influential is the consciousness. That’s the most important. Likewise with electricity and water usage. We always assume that the more people who save a lot more water than ourselves, so we think if we save, it still would not be useful. That is a fallacy. If everyone is thinking, then nothing will save it? We must instill the mind of all things good things it must start from ourselves. Do not wait for someone else untuik do good things.

Therefore, it is to safeguard our environment, our beloved Earth’s environment is, do something small for something big that does not exist before there is a small thing. If the little things done by many people, the little things that would be a great thing. If a thousand people throw garbage at the place and keep it clean, then the area will be clean. But if a thousand people for littering, then of course the area will be very very dirty.

So, do not ever underestimate the little things like save electricity, save water, save fuel, or disposing of waste in place. Do it yourself and then start from tularkanlah on people around you. Jadilha friend and love the planet Earth.Hopefully if we have been doing the best we can do, the Earth is again beautiful, cool, fresh air and comfortable so itâ the happier living on this Earth. EARTH BE FRIENDS!

"We're not winning the green future: We're troubled to read in the NY Times that the United States is falling behind other countries when it comes to creating green jobs and a green economy." Quote from www.earthday.org.

Image from Wikipedia

Earth Day Network website announced on the June 8, 2011 that “We’re not winning the green future”. This announcement following a press report that United States has fallen behind in creating green economy and green job. Well as the only world super power, it is surely spelled trouble for the whole world.

If the United State itself failed in promoting green lifestyle, what about other countries especially the developing nations which love to follow the American foot step. It seem that America did not set a good example when it comes to the environment management.

The world we know is getting hotter and colder. The climate change is in dis-functional mode. Outcome from the climate changes alone have created havoc to a lot of countries around the globe. The funny thing whenever catastrophe occurred man will always called it natural disaster or by act of god in the insurance policy. Why do we blame nature or god. Most of the disaster that occurred have been the result of man owned doing.

In Islam the safe keeping of nature long has been the duty of human. This can be seen in the Holy Quran ” Corruption has appeared throughout the land and sea by [reason of] what the hands of people have earned so He may let them taste part of [the consequence of] what they have done that perhaps they will return [to righteousness]” (30:41)

The hand of man who has destroyed every forest, river. ocean, mountain and even the outer space has become man victim. God put human on earth is to administer it with love not lust. We been destroying every natural resources that God created. Human are allowed to use all the resources but with good management and never to enrich our greed. In Islam the destruction of natural resources is a sin but man never afraid of sins. Therefore for the destruction we have caused, we are now receiving the consequence which we call natural disaster or act of God.

In Holy Quran stated “It is Allah who created the heavens and the earth and sent down rain from the sky and produced thereby some fruits as provision for you and subjected for you the ships to sail through the sea by His command and subjected for you the rivers.” (14:32)

The verse showed that human are allowed to use the resources that Allah has created. But human never can save himself from greed and because of this human destroyed every creation that God created on earth.

“And He gave you from all you asked of Him. And if you should count the favor of Allah , you could not enumerate them. Indeed, mankind is [generally] most unjust and ungrateful.” (14:34) In this verse it shows Allah as the All Knowing proclaim that human are most unjust and ungrateful of what he has been given. We have not been thankful for all that we have been provided for and not only that we destroyed it.

Now what we are experiencing all over the globe are the making of our own idiotic and greed. The flooding, landslide, smog and all kind of disaster that are detrimental to our health and life. Maybe if every nation take heed the warning that God has given to us, we still can save ourself by becoming a wise and prudent administrator of all the things that God has created for us. The Earth should be protected and love not for a day but for as long as there’s sun and moon our duty as caretaker of God’s creation would never end

First off, global warming. Real or fake? My guess, not real by the slightest bit. I would say this because if we all cut ourselves off from the media, then we would have no clue all this stuff is happening possibly. Its the earth’s natural proccess to warm up every now and then actuall. And when it does its not major. Do you know how much the earth has warmed up over the past 30 years? 0.0003471 of a degree. Would you say this is coincidence because I would. I don’t know what else to expect from tree huggers now that they say all this stuff.
