Desertification is the process of becoming deserts of vast areas of the earth's surface by the disappearance of vegetation, either by natural causes (bio climatic regressive evolution or climate degradation) or unnatural. In recent years, the problem of desertification by unnatural causes, mainly attributable to human activities, directly affects approximately six hundred million people.

Among the natural causes that lead to desertification, one can consider the cyclical nature of the ice ages, resulting in global warming that occurs in interglacial periods. In this regard, there are theories that blame the general desertification living Earth to this warming, as some scientists say could be living the high point of this interglacial period, that argument is countered by another important sector of the scientific community. They are also natural causes the warming of the atmosphere caused by extraordinary phenomena such as giant eruptions of a volcano or the impact of large meteorites on Earth’s crust. In addition, the abundance of poorly consolidated rocks, prone to further erosion, contributes to the process of desertification.

With regard to unnatural causes, include EU agriculture and industry as the most human activities have affected the soils of the earth’s surface. Among the first is the search for arable land and its subsequent exploitation, resulting in the removal of existing vegetation and, ultimately, sterility of the soil. The loss of the vegetation and bare soil exposure decreased the water absorption capacity, due to increased runoff, and increase the surface albedo (reflection of sunlight from the ground in all directions). The increase in albedo negative effect on cloud formation, decreasing therefore rainfall. The clearing of forests for soil cultivation, widely practiced throughout the world, is rapidly decreasing the amount and area of woodland, especially in the tropics, and is changing the surface characteristics of large areas of the Earth .

Another practice that entails the destruction of the vegetation is overgrazing. It is normal in these activities deforestation and woodland arson in order to extend the grazing areas. Also the introduction of grazing causes massive loss of vegetation, because they prevent natural regeneration of plant species.

Industrial activities make up another large group of human practices provoking global desertification of the planet. They affect preferably on the essential elements of climate, unlike the previous ones, whose effects are felt mainly in soils. There are two main consequences arising from the industrial processes involved in the general erosion of the planet, acid rain and the greenhouse effect. Acid rain has become more industrialized areas of the world, the main source of pollution, deforestation can produce large masses of vegetation. In Germany, for example, acid rain is responsible for the loss of half the forests in the most industrialized areas. Moreover, the greenhouse effect has been shown in recent years as the primary cause of global warming, and therefore processes desertification that this entails. The greenhouse effect arises from the excessive emission of certain types of gases, especially CO2, which are suspended in the atmosphere, forming a layer that allows input of radiation from outer space but not out, because when it hits the surface ground and re-projecting outwardly are unable to penetrate the layer of gas, thus producing a gradual warming of the atmosphere. CO2 emissions may occur naturally, but in recent years the increase of CO2 in the atmosphere has been so high that is associated with modern industrial processes and excessive burning of fossil fuels. Scientists have calculated that the increase of CO2 in the atmosphere has been 15% during this century, and today the rate of increase is 0, 33% annually. With these data, concludes that the atmosphere is exposed to excessive heat, which is causing climate change that favors the processes of desertification of large areas of Earth. Of course, the most likely to be affected are those with a relative degree of aridity or semi-arid.

The process of desertification affected areas of all continents: North and South Mediterranean basin, sub-Saharan Africa, Middle East, Australia, etc.. It is estimated that the extent of land affected by this problem is over 34,000,000 km2. To tackle it is necessary from all over the world in the implementation of conservation policies, whose implementation, however, is hampered by the current dynamics of the global economy. Measures such as controlling emissions of gases into the atmosphere, the reforestation programs of forest or agricultural development policies that take into account the regeneration of the land, are essential to prevent further spread of desertification by the Earth. However, the results of these are unlikely to be significant in the short term.

Lava Formations in Western U.S. Linked to Rip in Giant Slab of Earth.

For decades experts who research the procedures actual the global moving tectonic clothing and how they appearance the earth have discussed the roots of rapid, large breakouts of lava at the global exterior. In several destinations around the world, such “flood basalts” are noticeable by tremendous structures of volcanic mountain. A well-known example is India’s Deccan overflow basalt, a development commonly considered as relevant to the decline of the dinosaurs 65 thousand decades ago.

Such breakouts are thought to generally happen when the head of a layer plume, a mushroom-shaped upwelling of hot mountain increasing from deeply within Global internal, actually grows to the exterior. Now Scripps postdoctoral specialist Lijun Liu and geophysics lecturer Lady Stegman have recommended an substitute source for the volcanic action of Oregon’s The philipines Stream overflow basalt.

Liu and Stegman dispute that around 17 thousand decades ago the tectonic menu that was subducting within the european U. s. Declares started pulling apart, creating large outpourings of magma. Their recommended style identifies a energetic crack long-lasting two thousand decades — a fast eruption in geological conditions — across the so-called Farallon piece, where the crack propagate across 900 miles (559 miles) along southern Or and south The state of nevada.

“Only with a separate of this range in the down-going piece can we arrive at the provide day geometry of layer we see in the area,” said Liu, “and geochemical proof from the The philipines Stream lavas can also be described by our style.”

“When the piece is first started out there’s a little split, but because of the questionable beneath the, the content is able to power its way through the pit. It’s like in the films when a screen smashes in an aircraft that is at thin air — since the cottage is at greater demand, everything gets pulled out the screen,” said Stegman, an associate lecturer with Scripps’ Cecil H. and Ida M. Natural Institution of Geophysics and Planetary Technology.

Liu and Stegman came upon their new process by trying to explain how the challenging framework of Global layer under the european U.S. designed during the last 40 thousand decades. One more state of their model’s time-evolution suits the provide day framework as imaged by the USArray, the Nationwide Technology Foundation’s lightweight seismic system of 400 indicator channels leapfrogging across the U. s. Declares.

The Bob Kilometers Fellowship, the Cecil and Ida Natural Groundwork and the G. Unger Vetlesen Groundwork financed the research.

Stop Global Warming Now.

Globalization has gotten a incredible effect upon people many. The strategies to deal with the globalization are not sufficient to change anti-globalization strategy. The technical developments not only have damage of actual atmosphere by improving the percentage of carbon-di-oxide, changes in heat range of the community but it has given an in-depth effect to the planet of countries also. Around the world is the put together effect of participation made by different countries towards globalization. The repercussions of international heating are harmful producing not only changes in heat range but also shedding of permafrost and corrosion boreal peat moss build up, changes in the allowance and abundance of rain fall and weather measures, rise in sea level, destruction of ozone coating. Ozone coating is the safety safeguard of our atmosphere. It helps to protect the Earth from unsafe UV rays. These rays are detrimental and results in gene mutation changing the inherited cosmetics of the living thing. Gaps in the ozone coating are an open invite to all types of inherited changes which can confirm unfortunate. Globalization has also affected the success design of various vegetation. A particular regional place is recognized by the submission of its vegetation styles but disturbance of plants for industrialization is not only increasing decrease of plant types, herbal or any useful versions but also producing decrease of various creature types. Air smog of any kind may it be air, water or ground has effect on the inherited cosmetics of the people. Changed body’s genes not only cause to adjusted body structure of the living thing but also generate adjusted minerals producing harmful effects on the people. These adjusted minerals are accountable for various types of illnesses such as Alzheimer’s, brain condition. When the impure water is absorbed by a pregnant female may be creature or people then it directly impacts the child and impacts the progression of the neonate. Polluted water and air may cause to breathing and intake of some positivelly dangerous particles which are accountable for the cancer, paralysis, cerebral palsy. Children consuming impure water show psychological retardation, slower development, actual listlessness, inadequate psychological progression. Moreover, ground of the business place becomes less effective or unfertile creating the land dry. The particles tossed or thrown out in the ground acts with the normal nutrient structure of the ground and drops that excellent of the ground. The plants grown in impure ground are becoming the source of higher nutrient intake, along with veggie and fruit various types of bug sprays are also absorbed creating bioaccumulation of these risky substances. Use of creatures for meals and animal meat also causes bioaccumulation of these bug sprays. The sea meals is still more risky. With the globalization the meals are sent in the prepared form to various regional areas which may vary in heat range circumstances. This not only allows the development of unsafe bacteria but also drops the excellent. To get over this scenario preservative substances are being added but still it is another chemical!

Genetic reproduction of creatures and vegetation are being conducted to generate a higher producing versions this propensity has lost the outrageous types. The genetically adjusted creatures or the transgenic creatures and vegetation are more susceptible to illnesses than their outrageous alternatives. To be able to have higher use production and to satisfy the increasing requirements of use and dairy meals transgenic livestock are recommended over wildlife. Globalization is at one time magnificent the countries also to transfer higher producing livestock to satisfy the increasing requirements. This is changing the original wildlife of the domain with the brought in ones. It is sometimes risky as the creatures are being reared under particular circumstances and to provide them with the same circumstances at other regional place costs a big amount. It causes installation of machineries and heat range managing devices to obtain the desired generate. On the other hand these outrageous versions are left out of home and then they become hassle for the other social systems.

The plastic although is becoming the part of our life is the biggest pollutant of the provide century. It is producing choking threat as it is non-degradable material. The product packaging industry is successful on this benefit but a dilemma to the planet is least.

With the developments in technology, computerization of gadgets and hands free operation, more lack of employment is taking a cost producing public disempowerment and also social and significant impoverishment creating data file corruption error, adjusting myths, anger, stress, blood pressure and various medical repercussions. Globalization has shown its effect in whittling the world by bringing countries on a single foundation but this foundation in true sense has not only expand the gap between the countries but also has gotten sufferings to the inadequate. The cleanliness around the businesses is a matter of much dilemma as the water body of this place contains all the effluents produced from the businesses as a spend products. This spend products is either tossed out in the air or is traveled in the water and seldom hidden in the ground, creating the population to suffer from all types of danger.

The third world countries must also check a control over the population. If people are less than the requirements will also be less and hence more plants, jungles and creatures will be secured from damage. Village must be marketed to secure deforestation. Deforestation is a burial plot scenario and is offering as a beginning of disaster. It is deforestation and devastation of jungles and its population that prediction the changes in environment of that place. If this is avoided then many coming mishaps can also be avoided.

The question appears where are we going with this pace? We are really advancing ahead in life or burrowing burial plot for our own destruction? Are we going towards maintainable progression or we are just waiting for the environment to collapse? It is therefore essential that this escalating scenario must be given a serious dilemma and countries should join hands once again not only for economic trade and globalization but for the benefit of defending our planet and whatever surrounding we have must be secured for our success.

It is therefore a serious situation that one must take an in-depth dilemma about the planet in all aspects of life. Our surrounding is the single of our success and we must secure the same to be able to live. We cannot neglect our atmosphere and leave everything for the next day. Serious steps to reduce the use of unsafe agencies must begin from now to secure our regional, national and international atmosphere.

We do need a innovative strategy to deal with the issues raised in the provide article to obtain some surrounding for a healthier lifestyle.

On a planet already divided between rich and poor, overpopulation problem tends to affect all alike.

Worldwatch Institute in the United States argues that these calculations are completely wrong and we can not trust the studies do not consider all variables as complex a problem. Simply are too many unknowns that we can estimate an exact number as to how people will live on Earth over approximately four decades. One of the contradictions raised by researchers at the Worldwatch Institute is connected to the fact that although families reduce their number of members there is no significant decrease in the level of births. Erooarea calculation comes from a wrong premise, that the studies are based on the number of women able to give birth after the late twentieth century statistics, statistics that indicate about 856 million women aged between 15 and 49 years. Yet, their actual number is somewhere totals around EUR 1.7 billion no earlier than 2007. A simple logic shows that the number of people who would live in 2050 would be well over 9 billion. Although reports of scientists still argue that the Earth can sustain drinking water and feed a larger population than is currently obvious that resources not only leads to a small portion of people, especially those in rich countries. Water crisis already hitting many poor countries while hunger is a decades-old problem for many third world countries. Yet a paradox, families with most members are found precisely in these poor countries.

This year will be seven billion - seven billion human beings will inhabit the planet, using its resources, with or without gratitude, with more or less discrimination, conscious or not their impact on everything that is around. From the biblical admonition "Be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth and subdue it", it was the responsibility today to promptings of the number of children that make them almost hysterical warnings and the need for lower speed with which we multiply. Moving from quantity to quality, not just how we are, but how we are - how people will live, what problems they have, what changes will happen with them - are issues that try to predict, in an attempt to improve what you can improve and prepare for rest.

Recently, a comprehensive report on the future state of the world was released : 2010 Revision of World Population Prospects is a set of predictions on population growth of humanity and certain aspects of living standards, developed based on the statistical indicators of world countries in 2010. For the first time, the United Nations threw their eyes up in 2100 to predict the future of humanity.

So, what will happen to us until the end of this age? Let’s see …

Number

7 billion in 2011 to 9 billion in 2050 to 10 billion in 2085. These are figures provided by UN estimates, which used different prediction models to predict the “load” that will carry human planet in the next few decades .

Sounds like a lot, especially since time seems to pass so quickly – you think that acoustic gonna be 2050 and will be a third more than we are.

There are also some good news? Sort of. rate of population growth has fallen sharply in the last 50 years and in all probability, will continue to decline. In other words, growth will be slower. Instead of a heavy string of numbers that justify this evolution, look at the animation below, which shows how the global population expected to increase.

There will obviously be differences between continents: Africa, for example, will reach 1 billion people, as is currently approx. 3.6 billion in 2100.

Ranking countries according to population size, will undergo changes, some predictable, others surprising.

The most populous countries in 2010 were: China (1,341,000 locuritori), India (1.225 million), U.S. (310 million).

What will the rankings in 2100, according to official estimates?

Place: India (estimated population: 1,551,000 inhabitants).

Second Place : China (941 million – remarkable decrease, but how good or bad will be to decrease the population of China, that only the future will show us).

And third place - surprise! - Could reach Nigeria, a country now ranks 7 but with a high fertility rate will reach, it is expected for a population of 730 million – as all the present population of Europe!

Older, more old …

As you may know, some countries – the developed ones – have already aging population, as a result of low fertility (fertility is, in this sense population, an index calculated by the number of live births and the number of women in the population) , coupled with longer life expectancy, in contrast , developing countries, where, typically, fertility is high, young populations, but with a lower life expectancy.

Overall, the trend is to increase life expectancy and the aging world population .

In 2010, 7.6% of world population was over 65 years.

In 2100, the percentage of elderly will reach 22%.

In developing countries, with rates higher fertility, life expectancy is on average 56 years (low); experts consider as the main cause of the phenomenon of HIV infection (and subsequent illness of AIDS). advances made in preventing the spread of disease , but also extend Treatment with antiretroviral drugs, provided that mortality due to HIV / AIDS will continue to decline . And mortality from other causes (malnutrition, infection with endemic tropical diseases, etc.) will regress, so that, as expected, life expectancy in these countries will reach an average of 69 years in 2045-2050 and 77 years in 2095-2100. (For comparison: in 2010, average life expectancy in Romania was, according to the minister of labor, 70 years for men and 77.1 years for women.)

Poverty

Currently, 48 of the UN world states are included among “the least developed countries”(Least Developed Countries – LDCs) – in other words, the poorest countries with the lowest living standards, most … Worse-off countries, yes, I know not a word “politically correct”, but describes, I think, more expressive dark picture of livelihoods of those countries than the definition of officialextreme poverty, prepared by Bank World in 2008: to live with less than $ 1.25 per day, per person.

LDC category was created in 1970, the first list, published in 1971 (list is reviewed every three years) were included 51 countries, which had the lowest values of indicators of socioeconomic development. Most are in sub-Saharan Africa.

These countries suffer from extreme poverty, armed conflicts (civil wars, ethnic clashes frequently), corruption and political and social instability. Epidemics are rampant, people are extremely vulnerable to natural disasters.

Because countries can “bump” that are removed from the list when their situation improves socieconomică, exceeding a certain threshold. Discouraging is that, from 1971 until now, only three have managed to promote : Botswana in 1994, Cape Verde and Maldives in 2007 earlier this year.

So, the list is still long: 48 countries want and hope to leave, but still struggle in place of poverty, social and economic vulnerability, the deficiency in health and education programs.

However, the United Nations has bold plans: according to experts it, half of the 48 countries could overcome this status until 2020, if – well, that is, IF … - Will get better programs at national and international support. Development aid better targeted, more effective policies in exports, agricultural productivity and doubling the number of persons included in school curricula and strengthening democracy, are measures proposed by the UN expert group recently analyzed the situation.

Now, on paper it sounds great, but … We have no reason to believe that world poverty could diminish? Hope dies last, you know, but there are some facts, some concrete data on which to ENDORSE hopes?

Mouse successful there, although recent economic crisis has slowed progress considerably, as a whole. The good and bad, here are some data on the evolution of poverty and the fight going against it :

Number of people living below the poverty line (less than $ 1.25 per day) decreased between 1990 and 2005, from 1.8 to 1.4 billion.

The proportion of people living in extreme poverty in developing regions has also fallen from 46% to 27%. But (damn it!) 2008-2009 economic crisis has pushed millions into poverty again , rising food prices leading to severe deterioration of the situation for many of those at the margins of poverty.

Overall, even if these positive trends continue, it is estimated that in 2015, approx. 920 million people will still live below the poverty line .

Everything good is charged. UN experts say: the future, hundreds of millions of people (mostly from India and China) will come out of poverty, moving among the so-called middle class. And once you arrive there, they will improve their lives, will have higher standards, greater demands on comfort level, which will generate higher demand for products and services. On the one hand, it is good, on the other hand, must take into account environmental impact: it will be greater consumption of energy, water and raw materials and a larger amount of waste.

In 2050, food demand will be 75% higher than today.

Hunger

Although poverty has many serious consequences (in terms of education, health and others), however, its effect is invoked fastest hunger – that is hungry , when it stretches over time and space.

The sad thing is that after UN estimates, one third of the food produced worldwide is lost or is thrown away - more than one billion tons every year!

In developing countries, it’s rather the loss: the crops are stored in poor conditions, as they are attacked by pests, or perishable products (such as dairy products) are transported without refrigeration and it breaks … The solution would be to improve technology and infrastructure: construction of modern silos, equipped with refrigeration … but all these costs, so we need programs targeted at improving the capacity of food storage and transport. African Development Bank conducted such a program with a duration of seven years, to reduce by 3% loss of food in African countries. If all goes as planned, after seven years, the damage could be significantly reduced.

In contrast, in developed countries, the problem is quite different – here, mostly, it’s about food thrown away simply. Consumers have their share of responsibility, how about grocery chains … let alone: hundreds of millions of tons of perfectly edible food every year to get bin, either because of restrictive regulations on expiration date, either because they lost somewhat ideal commercial aspect. Fruits and vegetables are often discarded for this reason.

And all this while, actually, lots of people not to eat.

Little children under 5 years are still suffering from hunger and undernourishment, a staggering extent, even if the mouse made progress. In 1990, approx. third of children under five were underweight in the world, today, the figure is about 26%.

Obviously, solutions and related financial sphere and politics, with that everyone agrees, but when it comes to the urgent problem of increasing agricultural production, the views are different. Some plants rely on genetically modified crops , blockbuster to solve the problem of hunger. Others say an opposite idea, very bold in the current context: that on the contrary, the so-called organic farming and to adopt some traditional methods that have proven effective over centuries, could be the solution to world hunger . Surprising experiments made in different countries – China, Britain, India, Kenya, Brazil, Guatemala, Honduras – have shown that old traditional practices such as fertilizer use manure and cultivation of several species on the same plot of land (in opposed to monoculture – growing huge Tarlale a single species, as is done today in modern agriculture) maintain better soil productivity over time and reduce pest attack. To see!

(In addition to fighting for food, will lead a more fierce battle for water , for ever-increasing water needs, and stocks can not keep up. It is true, and it wastes a lot of water. It seems that we need a new “culture of water” until you get to have one that the inhabitants of Arrakis, depicted in imaginary desert planet Dune , for people whose water, very little, was the most precious resource, the supreme value.)

Obesity …

In contrast, rich countries are facing a true epidemic of obesity , in addition, malnutrition strikes the surprising extent, and the citizens of these countries, because many of them eat much, but worse.Abuse often generate junk food nutritional deficiencies of vitamins and minerals, in addition, risk factors, those represented by high cholesterol, blood all increased, enlarged belly and she … And the prevalence of obesity is growing and growing …

… and other diseases booming

Disturbing and dark, one of the diseases that spread more widely known dementia - whether Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia – in conjunction with increasing life expectancy: these diseases are more common among the elderly. That is, everything is with shower and come back.

And still a disease that spreads rapidly in the world depression , which are found ever new forms. And modern lifestyle is itself associated with the development of specific diseases, real diseases the new times .

Well, die, yes why?

If contagious diseases have long been a major cause of death worldwide, non-communicable diseases and accidents in the future will become major cause of death, says World Health Organization. The same institution warns that auto accident rates will increase and deaths caused by smoking will exceed that number even those produced by HIV / AIDS. Even in Africa, whose countries have young populations, smoking, hypertension and high cholesterol levels in blood came to be among the top 10 health risk factors.

After the bleak vision of a humanity consisting of a lot of people malnourished and die young and as many more obese but malnourished and depressed or dementia, can we have some reason for optimism? It seems cynical and almost absurd even to mention the word optimism. And yet …

These figures are calculated and set not only know how to sit, but also to warn us, because each of us, knowing the current trends, may take measures to stay in power. Not necessarily to those grim statistics bold and new. Take care of yourself, eat and how to stay healthy, not making fun of resources and try to find reasons for joy in life, as long as you will be given to live. Health – physical and spiritual – all!

The Effects Global Warming.

While many realize that global conditions rising is happening in the world, few understand the effects that this may have on our way of life. These increasing global conditions are going to cause a coordinator of changes in the world, and we need to act now or make to modify to some very powerful changes.

First, these increasing conditions present a huge risk to our ice-caps. Levels of ice that have not dissolved for centuries are beginning to break apart and fall into the beach. One of the greatest ice linens on the earth, on Greenland, is at a danger of breaking apart and dropping into the beach. While it doesn’t sound like too big of a deal, the loss of the Greenland ice piece will cause disastrous conditions globally. The sea level is predicted to increase as much as 23 toes when the piece comes, and that periods catastrophe for the seaside places that signify some of the greatest and most essential facilities of deal and business across the earth. New york would be sunk; much of California would be under the sea, and that’s not even post the globally repercussions. Every area of the planet would be suffering from this increasing of sea levels, and the catastrophe triggered would make storm damage seem like a advantage. An incredible number of refugees from the seaside places will be without home or workplace; it would be one of the hugest human issues ever experienced in our history. The modifying of the environment could also impact a coordinator of conditions on our planet; plants makes can be suffering from the increasing conditions, which would also present considerable problems to a world of refugees. Much of the area may become dry due to the results of heat range change, and we may find some of our most arable areas topic to the results of ground loss, and gradually, a move into leave area. Also, water resources, jungles, and place and creature life would be suffering from the global changes, and we may not be able to see how considerable these changes may impact our life until they are already upon us. For that reason, it’s essential that we increase our knowledge of globally conditions rising, and do our best to avoid it in in the future. While it may have negative impacts on our economic system and our way of life, we owe it to our children to give them a relaxing, safe world to mature in.

A true story about an Alien (Creature from space) which came on Earth to make peace between two rival communities.

The group of boys- including me were playing soccer in our back-yard. The game was heated, and every team was playing, trying every soccer tactic to out-do another. Then the descending object got the eye of my cousin, somehow older than everyone who was in the field of play. He called out for us to see, unfortunately it was too late for most of us to see a thing. I remember catching a glimpse of a multi-coloured object that got lost in a near-by maize field.

We abandoned the game and went searching for the mysterious object. We rushed into the maize field, everyone trying to be the first the see or take the object home. We searched the entire area, where we believed the object has landed but without lack. The darkness fell and we retired from our search.

Early the following morning, I resumed the search but I did not get any thing. By midday, stories started streaming in. I thought it was a joke, but it was true that the alien had landed miles away- in a certain field in our neighbouring community. First I heard of the description of the landed alien- the crowned female, limb-less and with an elongated hind, snake-like coiled and sitting on a rock, a spark of bright light from the aliens body coming in occasional patterns, all smiles with friendly look. I needed to see for myself, to bear a witness in rare mysterious occurrence.

By then, the time was not on my side, so I decided to visit the scene the following day.

The story attracted our local media houses, journalists swarmed in the area, ready to report the mysterious creation. Journalists tried taking pictures, but the camera could not work, only the cloudy-blurred images came out. Even the most powerful lens cameras were rendered helpless in the presence of the alien. The story went unreported because of lack of real evidence. No one would trust a drawn picture of a mysterious ‘being’ present in the country. It was believed that the alien had protective mechanism to counter imaging electronics.

By the time we- my cousin, brother and I reached the scene, onlookers were talking in hush tones, occasionally pointing at the space creation. Rays of light, blond hair, rainbow colours and flashes were the marvel everyone kept admiring. The sparkling King-like grown made her so beautiful, smiling to the crowd and sitting peacefully on the flat but raised rock. I could see her changing positions as if posing for a good shot. Such a beautiful creature.

Initially, the villagers had run away in fear, but they later came back to join other people in watching the free-for-all show . It was a peaceful environment, only shoving and pushing among the onlookers, but cautious not to disturb peace with the unknown creature.

Days later, the alien left the same way it came. Till today, no one knows why the alien came? Why it chose that place and who send it on Earth. But the best thing that happened just after the departure of the marvelous creature was, the call of peace between the two rival communities, and till today no violence has been reported.

A true story.

They were last together at 300 million years ago, known as Pangaea.

The team of scientists at Yale University, U.S., recently threw a fairly shocking predictions. They estimate that the continents of the earth will join again in the next 50-200 million years.

America and Eurasia is predicted to collide in the Arctic. Africa and Australia will also join the “Super Continent” . The team of scientists are convinced that the continents had fused the last 300 million years ago, the area known as Pangaea.

According to the BBC website, a review team of Yale scientists on the continent-continent reunion was disclosed in the scientific journal Nature. For them, the merging of the continents again it’s not impossible. Mainland basically moves constantly during tectonic activity in a part of the Earth’s surface.

Image via Wikipedia
This form of activity areas such as the Mid-Atlantic Ridge – the location of Iceland – and the territories as seen off the coast of Japan, where a small land (plate) in contact with others.

Geological researchers were convinced that, in the past billions of years, pergesaran plates were also periodically move the continents at the same time. This is what led to the hypothesis on the formation of a super continent called Nuna 1.8 billion years ago, Rodinia one billion years ago, and Pangaea 300 million years ago.

The research team was already preparing a new name when the continents of the re-united, namely Amasia. These estimates will be based on the convergence of American and Asia.

They then further investigate when and where the reunion between continents were formed with reference to the symptoms of the previous meeting. “We are quite familiar with the concept of Pangaea, but no data are convincing enough to guess how the super continent formed,” said Ross Mitchell, researchers from Yale University.

Commenting on the results of their research, geologists from the Open University, David Rothery, said the research could provide a broader understanding of the public to the history of planet Earth.

Apocalypse Now, which is written by Edward O. Wilson explains how religion and science must come together to protect the environment before it is to late. This article is a response to Wilson's.

The author, Edward O. Wilson explains in his article Apocalypse Now that he used to be a Christian but he converted to science. He explains in this letter to an imaginary pastor how religion and science are the two biggest powers in the world today and they differ in opinions most of the time, but they must come together to help save the Earth from the biosphere failing. Wilson is a professor at Harvard University. Wilson’s main thought is to try and persuade that we need to take action by using religion as well as science to persuade the people into helping to stabilize the environment. At first glance the author’s target audience is a pastor who doesn’t exist. The audience believes in God since he is aiming this at Christians. His audience is biases on the facts of science because it goes against their religion.

This is my own opinion on some of the things I see and hear, with my eyes and ears AND with my heart. I don't claim to have the answers, but I hope to raise some questions, and maybe wake a few more souls form their sleep.

I’ve heard the wind whisper in my ear.

I’ve seen the signs Mother Earth are showing us.

How long will it take for humans to realize that we have to change our ways? If we continue on the path we’re walking now, we will destroy or home, Mother Earth, and ourselves. I listen to the wind and feel the energies from nature and I am worried.

First of all, I am not Native American, but I come from a line of what used to be called “wise women”, or sometimes witches, and I have felt the connection to Mother Earth and nature all my life. I am what is called intuitive/sensitive and I pick up on the energies in nature, and people, and sense what they tell me, There are much disturbance around our planet right now, with threats of new wars and uprisings. And you don’t have to be a sensitive to know that, watchin the news and using common sense is enougn. Our leaders around this planet don’t seem to do much about it, but throw gas on the fires. What does leaders mostly do to turn the focus from problems in their own country? Turn the focus to problems somewhere else and make it their “job” to do something about that.

Mother Earth do not look upon her children differently, to Her we are all of the same value. Humans have made themselves into God with the right to abuse Her and rob her of both dignity and resources, and to decide which of Her children that should have the right to live and which have to be killed off (to protect the comfort of humans of course). We shouldn’t look upon our relations in any other way than we look upon ourselves, we are all as important to the well-being of Mother Earth, neither should we hunt down our brothers and sisters just because the hunt the same prey we do. The difference between the four-legged hunters and the human hunter is that the four-legged hunter hunt for food, for survival, where the human hunter hunts to keep the deer or elk population down, or for the thrill of it. So who is the true animal?

I wish I could give answers to how to change what happens, but the only thing I have known for more than 45 years is; We need to go back to the old ways and start respecting Mother Earth and our relations here. We need to stop taking more than we need, and we must start to give back in equal amount to what we use. The techology for a clean, green living is already here, now we have to start using it. Our governments may speak of the need for a change to a more environfriendly lifestyle, but as long as the real power is locked to the big corporations and its leaders there is nothing to win in doing any changes. And so when people start to rise their voices to claim what is their rights – the leaders turn the focus to other governments in far away countries, or to scandals and gossip, so that they won’t have to deal with the dirty laundry in their own house. Should we let ourselves be led to the butchers as animals. These leaders have no problem sacrifiece ordinary, simple people to continue to stay on top and to continue to live a good life themselves.

To be honest there have been voices raised against the injustice in the systems, the “Arabic Spring” last year, the Occupy movement that started on Wall Street and spred around the world, protesters in European countries as the state of many a country’s finances came to the surface and savings were forced upon them… But one have to remember, one can’t fix the problem by doing the same thing over again. There have to be more than just protests, there have to come answers out of this too. Some suggestions on how use this experience and start changing things, how to build something ne instead of what is not working.

Listen in the wind to hear the whispers.

Look to Mother Earth for the signs she is giving us.
