Learn how to succeed at making your dream a reality. Six simple steps that makes creating dreams achievable. Valuable information anyone can use, cause a good teacher is the best student.

Your Dream. Your Motive. Definition of Dream: an experience of waking life having the characteristics of a dream or a series of thoughts, images, or emotions occurring during sleep…. Dreams are very simple to create. This is my point, don’t put this word dream on a pedestal. You make the dream for yourself unachievable with the power in the word “DREAM.”

Example: My Dream. My Motive. My dream is to be a well known Performing Artist. Motive: Your hobby is not an career until you get paid for it. I wanna make money for something I love to do. In your one life don’t waste time being unhappy at a job. Don’t watch your life go down the drain. I love to sing and perform, that’s what is going to make me the best. MOTIVE…

So a hobby is something you like to do, so what if you got paid for something you like to do? I call these kind of goals, dreams. Cause if I have the power to go up inside my head and image myself doing this, I just created a dream. Your hobby is something you do for free, until you actually start to get paid, and that makes it a <strike>job</strike> or career. So how much more would you do it if you were paid for it? Hmmmm???? Think about that one. ALL THE TIME!!!

Now, psychologically, we put a weight on our minds with the word “Dream.” It sounds way more bigger then it actually is. Imagine me telling you: “I want you to help me lift my “757 Jumbo Jet,” 2″ inches off the ground. I know my jet is 60 lbs., but you don’t know it’s a model jet inside my apartment. See how the description of what I needed help with seemed bigger then we could lift, until I told you it was a model jet. This is the same way we look at the word “Dream.” Also keep in mind, that this is a sub-conscious decision to look at the word negatively. It’s not a conscious decision. The weight of the word “Dream” directly impacts our effort mentally and physically. And effort is the only way you can get results from anything. “Ohhh, he’s following his dream.” “Ohhh, he’s living his childhood dream.” Look at the definition of dream again. It’s not that hard to create a dream and live it. The point: Don’t over think the term, “Follow Your “Dreams!”

What is your motive? You know my motive. I have to create a living for my family and myself. My hobby is singing, and I love to do it. Not only do I sing, but I’m above average. It’s my opinion, that life is too short to be stuck at a job, not having control over your schedule or your life. Plus, what’s the chances of you hating your job? I want to be happy, and travel the world. We only have one life to live. So my motive is to create a living doing what I love. Singing….. Following my dream, accomplishing my dream, and have fun doing it is my goal or intention.

So find out what your motive is, and really bring your motive to the light. “Huh, bring my motive to the light?” Yes, understand your purpose for wanting this dream. Your motive is what makes you stay up late when your tired. Your motive push you to make the necessary sacrifices.

Example: Your car represents your dream, and your motive represents your gasoline. Your Jet represents your dream, and your jet fuel represents your motive. Don’t allow yourself to forget why your following your dream. Cause if your car runs out of gas, or your jet is low on fuel, or if you forget why your following a dream can you imagine the circumstances or the consequences. Forgetting your motive or not having one is similar to the example of running out of the key elements in this example. (Fuel, Gas, Motive, Drive, Effort, Passion, Determination) Don’t ever run out or Don’t ever forget the cause. Stay around positive influences!

Do not listen to people that don’t agree with what you believe in, it’s up to you to prove it to yourself. Everyone has their own theory or opinion. It’s okay to listen, but be careful because it can create doubts, sub-consciously. Just as the word “Dream” use to carry weight, peoples opinion could cause you to lack the confidence you need to push through the rough times. I’m going to be honest, it’s not going to be easy. Hey, life ain’t easy, why would accomplishing your goals or dreams be easy? Also visa versa, support from positive people, role models, and/or mentors is just as influencing. Get good people in your corner, get rid of people that means you no good. Your peace and success is at stake. Including family, sorry sometimes family members tend to have bad motives.

Next, your life dreams, cannot be a dream, if you have not dreamed it yet. Tongue twister, right? Read it again if necessary. Remember the definition of dream? If you haven’t dreamed your dream yet, this is simple to fix. Creating dreams is fun & simple.

Example: My dream is to be a famous singer. I watch movies such as, The Five Heartbeats, The Movie RAY, and many others. I go on YouTube and watch famous singers in concert. I also watch a lot of the interviews with performing artist to learn from them. I listen to there experiences, and there stories. I learn pitfalls to avoid, and this is why interviews exist. Remember when I mentioned peoples influences, and role models? You can create those positive influences, and role models through these interviews. You don’t have to have them as a mentor, and you don’t have to know them to get the power of influence working at your advantage. Just continue to learn and study everything that has involvement with your dream. I daydream some of those concerts I seen on youtube and image myself in their shoes, like a glimpse. I build my images of the lifestyle in my daydreams, through their videos, and put exactly how I want my reality to be when I accomplish my dream. Before I go to sleep, I’m living that lifestyle in my head, so I cannot wait to go to sleep at night cause before I fall asleep, I’m imaging me before a show, things I’m going to do during my show. I can see what outfit I have on, everything. I live this in my head every chance I get, I call it brainwashing, or programming myself. It’s fun imaging my huge screaming crowd.

”You have to dream it, to believe it. You have to believe to achieve it. “

Basically I’m painting my own image of what it’s going to be like. Sometimes when I fall asleep, my sub-conscious mind take the dream to new heights. I focus my mind on my dream and what I want in my dream. I sit and daydream it as much as I can, because I’m that person in my head. So when I am famous it won’t be nothing new to me, because I can tell that artist, “Hey, you know I lived this life through you?” So when I get on stage in front of thousands for the first time, it won’t be the first time. Many artist are not worried or afraid the first time and we know why now.

Understand this, you don’t have to really dream the dream sub-consciously. If you do, and when you do, that’s good, but you don’t try to create that it’ll just happens. But you do want to create & live the dream in your dream for a while before it can come to reality. Remember, whatever you focus on expands.

Last but not least, chasing dreams… Chasing dreams is, in some cases, a sacrifice. Cause you still have to create a living, but you have got to have a plan. What is a plan exactly? Scheme or method of action or arrangement, developed in advance… A plan is a step-by-step process to achieve a scheme, goal or intention. Step-by-step means you cannot go to step 5 without completing steps 1-4 in chronological order. If you start now, you will have about 300 steps, so a way to eliminate that is to know the different types of goals or plans. Short Term, Mid Term, and of course Long Term… This process will reduce the amount of steps you’ll have to take. After planning properly, you’ll physically know exactly how to achieve the attended goal and you’ll know how much time it will take. You also should know the advantages and the disadvantages, plus the pitfalls to avoid.

“I’m so confident you will achieve your dream in life now. Why?”

Recap:

1.)You clearly know what a dream is, and how to create one.

2.)The word “Dream” alone no longer impacts you negatively. Also the word “Dream” no longer attach mental and physical failure to your effort to accomplish your dream.

3.)You understand the importance of “Motive” and how it directly effects your effort to get results.

4.)You know “The Power of Influence.” By friends, family, role models, mentors, etc….

5.)You know how to daydream and live the lifestyle or dream in your head first, to make it a reality, along with your efforts.

6.)Plus you know exactly how to plan your way to success, and the motto is: “You failing to plan is planning to fail.”

And personally, I feel your 400 times more confident to succeed at accomplishing your dream, because you have understanding and control. So you will be successful if you want to be…. Remember have fun… Subscribe to my profile for more articles with similar information.
Remember this because it truly is an important thing to know!

Everybody has be through hard times. And everyone will go through hard times, but that doesn’t mean you have to let it kick you down time after time. You don’t have to allow Satan to win you over like that. People often cave in and curse God for all the bad things that happen to them, and you may even be convinced that it is coming directly from God. Well it is, indirectly, but he’s doing it for a good reason. You’ve probably heard this repeated too much and has probably become a hackneyed saying in your mind, but everything happens for a reason. God allows Satan to carry out his evil to try to effect you in some way. He could be doing so to help teach you something or to get you away from something you may not find any fault in. He is in no way trying to deprive you of freedom or happiness. He’s trying to maintain your freedom and happiness! Even though you make think it looks good, God knows it truly isn’t, and he is already planning a way to make up for the supposedly good things he kept away from you.

When people are told to stay postive, they don’t know what to do. They think they should meditate or go help the homeless. Not nessicarily. You just have to know deep down in your mind that God is planning something good for you. Every time you see something bad, just remember that God is protecting you. Every time it appears that “the world will end,” remember, nothing is out of God’s control. Nothing will go according to Satan’s plans, because God’s plan outweighs his. Never forget that, because once you do, you start worrying about all the bad that could possibly happen. When you start thinking like that, you’re definatley not going to be in a postive mood!

Heres why I cry: I’m strong, I can’t give up, but I’m tired and cannot commit suicide!
[ (Suicide) Against My God ]
Can you imagine that? You’re strong so you never give up, but your tired and cannot die!
[ (Tug Of War with the mind.) ]

“This pain I feel, is from my head to my heels. I’m always doing right, cause I know kindness kills. I have one problem with all the feelings I feel. I would love to know when will it heal. Made lots of good choices, though some was bad, but I’m forgetting a good feeling, so now I’m hanging my head. I’ve always been strong but I’ve struggled to long. Lord when I raise my kids I’ll be ready to come home. I try to make friends and I try not to sin. But lord I seem to continue to give in. Can a have a break, if even just for a day. Oops! Lord I forgot you still letting me breathe!” -Rod

I’ve been struggling for so long and I’ve just been wanting the simple things out of life! A family, kids, wife, running car, and a home! Not a house, a home! I have not yet to get them, but I’m constantly preaching and teaching to do the right thing! Yes! There is a reward for the hard times and doing the right thing but these rewards are in heaven!

For once I’d just like to be without the same issues. I’ve address them in several different manners but getting the same results. I don’t steal, kill, drink, smoke, club or talk bad about others! A trustworthy person, but for some reason I’m always getting the cheating girlfriend, the fake friend’s, the temporary jobs! It’s just I never really get a way out, and yes I’m complaining cause I don’t complain cause I understand it makes thing worst. Some of you have family that loves you and will give you an arm or a leg, and you take it for granted!

Some of you have the perfect woman and won’t treat them like a queen, forget a woman, like a queen! Some you can have any job you want, or can go to any college out there, and you just take these things for granted! But someone that really needs the opportunity is just in the mud! It is just so painful to go through these type of problems and still being a good person! Not walking around hating people, not stealing in desperate situations, allow people to talk bad about you and keep quiet!

I’ve dealt with a lot and all I want out of life is a family and to help as many people as I can in the world! I feel like I can cry for the people that can’t do it, I could cry for the world cause I feel others pain and I hate it! There is barely any love going around in the world anymore, and I know God is love. So we really need to start looking out for one another, it’s people around you barely making it!

And I know everyone has there own story but every chance you get show some love and wipe somebody’s tears away! Cause I could use one million dollars right now, just like you! But right now I need a should, or something to wipe my eyes! If you don’t care about others more then yourself your already dead! Go to the nursing homes, hospitals, jails, yes jails, homeless shelter, or just find someone needing love.

Love is a nuclear weapon for Christian people….

The Arab spring in Egypt has, as predicted, boiled down to a foregone conclusion. it being the Muslim Brotherhood’s dangerous moves against the State of Israel: Obama’s policy of appeasement and encouragement has boomeranged as expected, confirming the fact that everything he has advocated is not working, particularly his foreign policy.

What can be more explicit than the declaration by the Muslim Brotherhood that the agreement consummated by Egypt and Israel, after returning the Sinai to Egypt, has no meaning, and that they are not bound to honor that agreement, nor Israel’s right to exist.

If President Obama continues to adopt a slow-going, unworkable foreign policy throughout the rest of his term as president, Arab springs will, without doubt, become America’s autumn, considering that steps that he has taken so far has regrettably failed. After such a candid declaration, it is my opinion that any further subsidies to Egypt should be considered as a downright farce and an exercise in futility.

In conclusion, the fall of Hosni Mubarak from power has contributed to yet another problem for which our president is partially responsible.

Are you playing it too safe and getting nowhere quickly? Are you stuck in the comfort zone and just hoping to have a mistake-free, loss-free and stress-free life?

Nothing is wrong with playing it safe but, is it always the wisest thing to do? Take for instance a ship that sits in a harbor. A harbor is a relatively safe place for a ship to be however, if a ship stays there too long, it can deteriorate and become useless. A ships ultimate purpose is to sail the wide open seas, not to stay docked in a harbor. Your ultimate purpose is to live and to live your life to the fullest.

For the most part, we all like things we can control and things that we know well. But, as Helen Keller once said: “Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing.” The fact of the matter is that to be alive at all involves some level of risk. Every significant activity involves uncertainty and requires us to take risks. Learning to be a wise risk taker is the key.

Just like businesses need to have a business plan, those who have become successful all say that if you want to have your dreams come true, you need to have a plan and a plan involves risks.

If you don’t have a dream then it is about time you create one. The fact of the matter is, if you want to have a dream come true you first have to have a dream. Knowing what your dream is and taking the necessary steps to get there is exceptionally wise.

Look at Oprah Winfrey for instance. As a child she was once asked what she wanted to be when she grew up, and she answered without hesitation, “I want to be paid to talk.” She started out as a determined little girl who made her dreams come true and today Oprah has become a financially successful woman and she has touched many people’s lives. She took a risk when she moved from Baltimore to Chicago and took a job as a news reporter. Some didn’t think she could do it but she followed her heart she believed it was a possibility and she made it happen.

Some risks are bigger than others and so it is important that you calculate the risks involved, some are a matter of life and death. Oscar Schindler is a man who took a big risk and because of that risk, thousands of people were saved. Today there are more than 6,000 descendants of Schindler’s Jews living in the USA and Europe, and many in Israel. What would possess him, with all of his power and money, to risk his own life to save others? Somewhere along the line, Schindler decided that it was more important to follow his personal convictions than to follow Hitler’s rules. He risked it all to save lives.

The biggest leap for some is to step out of their comfort zone and reach for success. There comes a time when you have to push towards your fears and tread on new territory, push some boundaries. That is what Mother Teresa did she had a dream of helping the poorest of the poor. She took a risk and traveled to India with a vision and not much else. In the end she built a ministry that is known around the world. It wasn’t always easy and it may not have been the safest route to take but Mother Teresa stepped outside her comfort zone and made a difference.

Not everyone who takes a risk makes it big, that’s why it’s called a risk. But, if you are going to fall, fall forward. When you fall, dust off your knees and get back up. If you find yourself ship wrecked, rebuild, count your losses and move on.

Use common sense. There are times when a ship needs to come into the harbor for repairs and maintenance. There is also a time to play it safe. But, risks are a part of life and we need to realize that it’s okay to make mistakes along the way. But, never be afraid to take on a challenge, always keep focused on your dreams and do whatever it takes to achieve them.

Risks can be a good thing and they can cause us to do something that forces us to stretch ourselves, to challenge us. So, what are you waiting for? Hoist your anchor and set sail. Take a risk, map out your course and move your ship out of the harbor, after all, you are the captain of your life.

Live to make a difference, live your life to the fullest. Don’t be afraid to risk it all for the things that matter.

1. My biggest fear is of chalk. There was a bad sudoku experience in 7th grade... I don't want to talk about it.

So today I had an interview with a University of Chicago alumni. Fun stuff. Me being the awkward introvert that I am, I was pretty nervous about it at first. What do I say? What if I’m TOO honest? What’s really going to impress them? Should I be weird, or nerdy? How do I keep my self from bragging? How do I keep myself from admitting some of my school-related faults? How personal is too personal? What the fruit-loops am I supposed to WEAR to this thing?

All things considered, I think it went well. The conversation kept up for about an hour and a half, and she barely even asked me questions. She mostly just let me talk and, well, I have a lot to say about myself. It was easy; nowhere near as stressful as I expected. She probably would have made me stop talking earlier if she wasn’t impressed, so I feel pretty good about it.

And of course, she did not believe that I’m an introvert. It’s true. I’m an INFJ. I naturally prefer to be alone, but I am not shy or anti-social in the slightest. It’s complicated.

Anyway, for the sake of my sanity and anyone else worrying about interviews that can relate, these are the things I had wanted to mention that I forgot about:

Cretaphobia

In my freetime, I like to research things on the internet that have to do with colleges, novels, and psychology.

I work with the three-year-olds at church for two hours every week. Have since seventh grade. I am occasionally left in charge. Go me.

I don’t care what people think about me.

The Golden Rule is nonsense in my life. Can’t believe I left that one out! That’s important!

I think fedoras are really cool.

Surprisingly, that’s it. I made an entire list of things to talk about, and that’s all that I didn’t cover. Now of course I didn’t go in there and spout off everything I had prepared, but I was able to find an answer to every question and I only got tongue-tied once. If anything, I said too much, but I think that’s a good thing in an interview. They get to know you better that way.

Apparently the number of applicants is growing this year. Of course. I’m not surprised at all, but it is nerve-wracking. Wish me luck, friends and random strangers. The day I get that letter from Hogwarts will either be the best or the worst day of my life. Probably the best; I tend to be optimistic regardless of my situation. I just want to know.

Now it’s snowing. In November. In MEMPHIS. Snow doesn’t exist until January, stupid. Let’s just pretend this is for me; I can relax, de-stress, and eat cookies while happiness silently covers the ground. Life is wonderful, isn’t it?

I was inspired by the young people around me this evening… the big red tractor looked like a fun ride on a perfect summer night… let’s cut the grass! Okay… so instead of a nap I gave a few lessons.. and then sat back to let go. I applauded inside their steps forward to a responsibility…and even though the lines may have been uneven… and the fact that I had to spend the evening with the blower behind them… couldn’t dampen my feeling of pride for what they chose to do. As I told them they did a beautiful job… their faces just glowed. After all isn’t that more important…is it not most important… to inspire?

I started to ponder and became inspired to write. I want to say to young and old…as the markets are tanking right now and we seem to be working harder for less… I just want to say please stay one more day. What I mean by that is even though you may be in the darkest of places hold on. Reach out to people who will encourage you… who even though things may not be perfect as you attempt figuring out your life’s purpose… just keep going. Throw everything you have at what you believe in, what you love, what inspires you… because God doesn’t make mistakes. The good and the bad weather is endured and celebrated by all of us.

This time last year a childhood friend of mine passed on. She didn’t want to stay one more day. I don’t know what to say about that… what a painful place she must have been in… but I want to say to anyone here that is experiencing a friend contemplating suicide or who has witnessed such a thing by now this:

Please stay one more day. We will… find a way. After all…it is okay. So please stay…one more day. We will figure it out this beautiful day… wouldn’t it be nice to find a way? So let us pray and find a way so that we can stay…one more day.

Our hearts are bigger than our fears… bigger than our disappointments… bigger than the world even. We will find a way. If this touches you please… feel safe to write to me anytime at royalsequel@yahoo.com

To my darling Holly. You remain my inspiration. Your life mattered and it does live on.

All my love,
Janet

Although I do not have children of my own I decided to write this article and use experiences that I had growing up.

Often parents stress over how they can bond with their children without alienating them or making them feel like they are trying too hard. There are a few secrets to maintaining a close relationship with your children throughout their lives, and I’m here to discuss some of them.

The first piece of advice that I would like to give is to keep up with your child’s interests. If you know what your child is interested in then it makes it easier to bond with them. For example, if your child is gifted in the arts, take them to gallery shows or museums from time to time.

This will let them know that you have an interest in encouraging their talent.

Another piece of advice is to find things that you and your child have in common. It is important here to realize however, that your children are not you.

The true builder of self-esteem is encouragement.

When your child shows you a picture they drew, do you automatically say “What a nice picture. You’re going to be an artist someday.”? Or do you quiz them on what it is, what it means and tell them what they could do better? What is the right answer?

I believe that the best thing for the child would be somewhere between the two. With my own children, I ask them about the picture. If it is unrecognizable, I ask what it is. In an interested tone. Because believe me, most children can tell from tone alone how interested you are in their work and them, which translates to the same thing in their minds. And in the end, the praise I give them (or try to. I’m not perfect) is related to the effort they put into the drawing.

The same thing happens with writing, playing an instrument, singing, building a sand castle, a tower of blocks or an origami hat. It doesn’t matter what it is that they are creating, if they have put a decent amount of effort into it, they deserve a decent amount of encouragement. I am not saying that everything they do should be treated as if it should be in the Smithsonian. I am not saying that their work should be immediately critiqued or criticized either. Even if they ask for the critique, do not give it to them immediately. Wait until the work has had some time to age and they have distanced themselves emotionally from the work before giving advice on improvements.

A very wise person once said. “Tell them what they are doing right and watch how fast they learn.”

Making a vision board is a fun activity that allows you to see what you want and make it a reality.

Vision boards are a way of setting your goals and wants in your view everyday. A vision board’s purpose is to be a manifestation of your dreams and to help those dreams come true. It is said that by seeing what you want everyday, the universe will in turn give it to you. It is also a very fun and creative activity that you can do alone or with family or friends.

1. Get your supplies. Your canvas can be a poster board, a manila folder, card stock, or anything else you like. It can be any size. You will also need scissors and glue. It is also fun to glue little trinkets to your vision board such as feathers, glitter, knick-knacks, or other items.

2. Grab some magazines or newspapers. The magazines and newspapers can be new or old. They can be any subject you desire. You can use anything you want.

3. Start cutting. Browse through the magazines/newspapers and cut out anything you like. It can be anything from something you wish to achieve to something you really want. Don’t think too much on what you cut out and don’t judge what you cut out either. If it appeals to you then use it.

4. Put your board together. Once you feel you have enough to put onto your vision board it’s time to start gluing them down. You can arrange the pictures/ words in any way you desire. Have fun with it.

You can add onto your board at any time and you can place it anywhere you wish. Most people place it in an area where they can see it everyday to be encouraged. Below is an example of a vision board.
