Sexual activity in the morning also increase estrogen levels which enhance the quality, color and texture of hair, skin and nails. Morning sex and even believed to be the best therapy to overcome wrinkles.

These ideas will help get rid of nerves.

Erase worries by wearing pink! Add a touch of pink whether it is a piece of jewelry or accessory or nail polish to your outfit. Just looking at this hue is proven to increase feelings of serenity. In fact it is so effective that scientists believe gazing at the color has an effect similar to taking a mild tranquilizer.

Feel invincible with clary sage! Sniffing the light and fruity scent of this essential oil triggers feelings of euphoria. Plus it may help spur production of mood boosting endorphins. Keep a hand lotion in your purse and smooth it on whenever you are facing a tough situation.

Increase calm by humming. Whether it is your favorite tune or just random sounds the softly hum for 60 seconds before entering a high pressure situation. Doing so is proven to activate the brain pleasure center and increase the number of relaxing alpha brain waves.

Prevent self doubt with a nod! Try steadying your nerves by nodding your head a few times and continue to nod periodically whenever pressure is mounting. This helps boost your belief in what you are saying and instantly increasing your self-assurance.

As time progress, the world is becoming a small place to live in. This pave ways for more and more people venturing to other places finding greener pastures and changing locations for personal growth. Although, it seemed exciting to try new places, culture shock is very inevitable. Here are 12 greats ways to lessen culture shock.

I’ve worked and lived in a number of places and countries and I am very aware how challenging or difficult it is to be in a foreign land outside of our comfort zones. The beginning is always exciting and euphoric; there are new sights to see, places to go, things to do. It can be compared to the “Honeymoon stage” in a boy-girl relationship. Plenty of things can amaze us especially those things we don’t see in our country and are delighted by the novelty of our experiences.

Unfortunately, at a certain point, the novelty wears off. Because we are creatures of habit, we crave the things that are familiar to us like familiar faces, food language, and sights. We may begin to complain about the way things are and why people behave the way they do. We may begin to start counting the days before returning home. Some may feel homesick, lonely, helpless, angry, frustrated or even depressed. There are those who experience physical symptoms- changes in eating habits and sleeping patterns, or even illnesses very common to people who came from tropical moving to four seasons countries and the opposite. At the most extreme, some may even want to abruptly leave. All these are symptoms of Culture Shock.

However, as we adjust and learn how to navigate our new world, we begin the next phase of adjustment which is the recovery. Recovery and adjustment are the most important thing when one is living in another place. You know you have adjusted when you are more comfortable with your surroundings, start interacting with locals, develop a greater tolerance for the differences, and embrace the new culture. The movement from culture shock to recovery can last anywhere from one to six months. How long it takes one to adjust actually depends on what one does to help himself. Here are twelve great tips for the recovery phase.

1) Read as much as you can about your country of destination even before you arrive there- its history, important people, events and customs. This will make it easier for you to socialize with locals and feel that you will be OK and safe in that new place. There are plenty of information floating around the Internet or even from books.

2) It is OK to make friends with locals and ask questions. The tendency of us we tend to socialize with our fellow countrymen since we are more familiar with them. There’s nothing wrong with this but it is still best to make friends of the locals. The problem of not befriending the locals is that one loses cut on learning more about the new culture firsthand. Befriends locals and ask them questions so you can understand your new environment.

3) Learn the local language. Trying to speak their language is always appreciated by locals. Learning their language is also a life saving in cases of emergency.

4) Observe social rituals. Take note of how people great each other and the DO’s and DON’T’s of interactions. In Japan, I learned to bow at the counterparts. In the Middle East, men even kiss each others’ cheeks. In the US, I learned that shaking hands and greeting Hi and how are you are the norms. Knowing the DO’s and DON’T’s can help you blend in and avoid offenses.

5) Explore the vicinity. See as much of the country you are visiting as you can. Doing this will give you a greater appreciation of the country and somehow will make you optimistic of the unknowns.

6)Talk to other expats. They would know the common problems of newcomers and how to cope. They can also give you tips on where to shop and where the churches are. They can also be a great support group.

7) Keep busy. The antidote to loneliness is to do something or divert ones’ focus to other activities. Participate in community activities or join local organizations. Engage in volunteer work. Take up a hobby. Learn a new skill. The most important – don’t get bored or you’d really feel bad that you are away from home.

Get some exercise. It is true that exercise releases endorphins that make one happy. So walk, jog, bike, take up a sport- keep your spirits uplifted and get healthy.

9) Care for your soul. Prayer, mediation and silence are calming to the heart and nurturing to the soul.

10) Write. Keeping a journal or writing a blog may help. It’s a way of documenting experiences. This can even make you feel excited because of the creative words that comes out from your thoughts while writing.

11) Keep connections with home. The world is smaller thanks to technology. It’s important to maintain contact and get support from the people you love and know. Set regular dates for calls or chats so there is something to look forward to.

12) Seek help. When you feel unable to cope- you should consider talking to a professional, a counselor, social worker or a church worker perhaps. It is important to remember that you are not alone and help is available.

With these twelve tips, it will boost your feeling of security and will be OK as you go along with your journey to complete adaptation and road to happiness.

Yes ... yes ... now I'll review article is quite interesting because it involves human activities in general (and important activity).

Maybe some people will say, ‘Yes … it is human destiny like that’. No one indeed. Then perhaps there is also an answer to the question, ‘Yes … how could create other human beings? ” Incredibly, even this is not wrong answer. Apparently there will be many answers that if proportional to answer this question. However, besides the general answer that sounds, we can look for explanations that are scientific. There are several explanations regarding the activities of emotion (because love is part of human emotion) based on the viewpoint of biology (or possibly medical).

On the basis of ‘all human activity carried out either consciously or unconsciously, there is the role of hormones behind it all’. Ok, maybe the readers of this article has no biological or medical background is quite strong. However, I still will give an explanation of what is a hormone (actually you can just search on wikipedia, but because I was so good, I’ll swatch it for you).

Based on the definition contained in wikipedia, hormones are chemical messengers between cells or between groups of cells. Well, from its definition alone is visible, the message. Each stimulus that exist in our bodies must involve chemical reactions.

Now we will discuss one by one hormone that affect or stimulate the activities of the so-called love.

The first hormone dopamine. From the site above, explained that this hormone works like cocaine. When you bertemmu someone you like, hormone dopamine works and is addictive. Those who love their partner as if addicted to continue to meet with people who liked it.

Have you ever heard of seduction trite and insipid following?

‘My heart skipped a beat when I saw you (hoekhh)’. In addition, the breath of people who suffer from ‘love’ is to be faster (or the term struggling)

In your opinion, who the mastermind behind these unusual activity? The answer is fenylethilamin. Apparently, seduction trite and insipid on the effects of these hormones (congratulations to you the users of these seduction. You seem to know the effect of fenylethilamin).

Next there is the role of adrenal hormones in it. Some effects of adrenaline is similar to fenylethilamin, namely speed of breath. The rest have more to do with, again the lyrics insipid, ‘eat not because of your lust. ” HUAAAAHAHAHAHA.

This is the explanation why the lyrics and sometimes there’s garbage Actually seduction. Discussing the lyrics above, it is driven by the hormones adrenaline. When these hormones work, the effects can menghilankan appetite because the digestive organs so it works more slowly (again congratulations to those who use phrases like that.)

Well, the next one a little scary. Apparently, in addition to the hormone dopamine, which works like cocaine, there is also a hormone that works like morphine.

These hormones called endorphins. This hormone is said to morphine because of its body, such as morphine. And hormone appears only when we feel the pain, excitement, and orgasm. However, it seems when we fall in love, these hormones also work, therefore, people who fall in love feel happy (sometimes excessively so).
In the men who like to masturbate, here, again this hormone works. However, if done within the high frequency (too often) to have an impact on short-term memory impairment
When you eat chocolate, endorphins hormone will also be produced.

Then vasopressin. These hormones also have a role in sexual activity. This hormone can to suppress the secretion of water. These hormones also work when a man has ejaculated. This hormone also acts as an antidiuretic that can regulate urine output (or set the process of water secretion). Without this hormone, you certainly need the help of pampers.

And the last is oxytocine. When you hug or caress your partner, this hormone is produced in the hypothalamus. This hormone is produced in large numbers when a woman entered the phase of lactation.

Well, apparently love is not only seen from the viewpoint of soap operas only, (with all the ins and outs stories that make a stiff neck), but it can also discussed in terms of science. To the readers, please comment if there postkan in the comments section.

Most of us are familiar with the climax scene in “When Harry met Sally,” where Meg Ryan is sitting in a restaurant with Billy Crystal and she proceeds to have an orgasm right there at the table. It was her way of proving that women can fake orgasm and it can be very believable but what is the point of faking it when you can experience the pleasure and advantages of the real thing. Now reaching orgasm at a restaurant table is not a good idea, I think, A. you would still have to pay your bill and B. you would probably be asked to leave.

Image nwn.blogs.com (google images)

The female and male attitude towards female orgasm has changed dramatically over the last decade and now it would seem that the medical profession have left their embarrassment behind and have stepped up to the mark too.In times gone by many men, women and health professionals were under the assumption that the female orgasm didn’t really count and was of no importance because unlike men, the climax didn’t need to happen in order to conceive and produce babies. Not having an orgasm will not stop you getting pregnant. However the female contractions that happen during orgasm could help move ejaculated semen further into the body.

Orgasm happens in many different ways but whether it is achieved via vaginal or clitoral stimulation it really doesn’t matter, the outcome is the same. Lots of healthy, exciting things happen to our bodies when we have an orgasm. Our bodies are quite phenomenal and the orgasm can leave you with a sense of wellbeing. During orgasm our bodies release natural chemicals called endorphins. These chemicals have a similar compound to morphine and can help as a natural painkiller.

Although some women do find reaching orgasm difficult, aside from any medical reasons there should be absolutely no physical reason why it can’t be achieved. For many women the orgasm has to be learnt and unlike men who can just have an automatic response to arousal and orgasm some women find that the orgasm does not just come from the sex organs alone but needs to have the connection with the brain or mind too.

There is no right age to start or stop having orgasms. Some women will come across the right sensations at a very early age, others may not experience them until much older. For some women there is still the stigma that it is wrong to want to enjoy sex. These feelings could have been passed down from a parent or from another source. Women that have had a terrifying ordeal at some stage in their lives that involved unwelcome sex may need the help of a therapist and a very caring and loving partner.

Image outinamerica.com (google images)

If a woman is well and happy her libido will be strong and it is a myth that women don’t want to have sex just as much as men. Sometimes in a woman’s life or even through the month, or through the day her desire will change. If a woman constantly goes off sex there may be a relationship problem or an issue that needs addressing. Doctors or family planning nurses are much more geared up to be able to help nowadays and most are happy to help talk women through some of the problems that could be affecting her libido or they will refer her to the appropriate person so she can get the help she needs.

After pregnancy there are many more demands on a woman’s body other than wanting sex but they still need a partner that tells them they are special and still desirable. It may however take some time for a woman to feel sexy and desirable but the inner pelvic contractions that occur during orgasm are a great way to re-tone the muscles damaged by pregnancy and birth. Remember you do not need intercourse to achieve orgasm, they are just as easily and sometimes more delightfully achieved by foreplay and clitoral stimulation. Mutual masturbation is a great way to satisfy both men and women at times when intercourse is a no go area, at times when a woman may still have painful breasts or her hips and pelvic area are still trying to regain their pre-pregnancy state.

For those of us who get grumpy and suffer with PMS the orgasm could just be the natural cure we are after. Also it is safe and healthy to orgasm right through the month, this can often help a tremendous amount with period cramps.

Women should not feel guilty about wanting or having the pleasure of an orgasm. After all, most of us wouldn’t think twice about the pleasure we receive from eating chocolate, which incidentally is not half as healthy as an orgasm.

Image elle.com (google images)

Many women have problems achieving orgasm and not all of them have a partner that is willing to take the time and effort to help achieve the beneficial end. For those women who do find reaching orgasm difficult because they are unsure how their body responds to different stimuli then using a vibrator or your fingers to gently explore your own body whist alone and in a relaxed frame of mind can help you recognise the arousal signals. Women’s brains are very good at imagining things, so thoughts of a past lustful encounter, or an exceptionally well-written erotic scene from a book you have read can help trigger the correct feelings.

Some people will be thinking, “So what, orgasm is not the be all and end all to sex!” and it may not be for some, or it may not be all the time but there are lots of benefits to reaching and completing the orgasmic stage. It can bring your relationship with your partner to a more fulfilling strength, most men adore it when their partner reaches orgasm and once they have experienced that they will want to make you reach it again and again.

What makes a person gleaming with Happiness? Are there any secrets to happiness?

If you have anyone around you, just ask him or her the purpose of life. 9/10 would say the purpose of life is to stay happy. For most, happiness is yet another human psychological mystery. Science, religion, philosophers etc. have tried defining happiness and its causes. The most common definition is that it is a state of the mind where the person feels content, satisfied, pleasure, love or joy.

Here’s another theory.
We can only define happiness in comparison to others or in comparison to the past. Let’s face the bitter truth: The Theory of relativity. We aren’t talking about Einstein here, so science-detesters need not worry! According to me, the only sensible reason for happiness is sadness. Ironic, but put your thinking caps. In simple terms it would mean that without sadness, there would be no happiness;just like without darkness, we would have no notion of light. For example, we often look at our peers and friends and develop some kind of inferiority when our eyes meet their expensive gadgets or clothes. That’s when you feel deprived and expect more. With comparison to them, you are ’sad’. If you manage to get what you wanted, you get happy.

Someone once said, ‘Expect less, you’ll be happy.’ What I understand is that expectations are proportional to happiness. The more you expect, the more is the probability that your expectations would not get fulfilled. If they do not get fulfilled, you are going to enter into depression mode. I don’t believe in this.
Following this statement is certainly going to hinder your development. Expecting less would mean dreaming less. Expect less, then what else is life all about? Sleeping, eating and following your daily monotonous routines? If you did follow the statement, you would lose that spark in you; the spark that could ignite a thousand goals in you! It is a risk that’s worth taking. Life would turn meaningless elsewise. Expect more but at the same time learn to accept defeats or losses, so that when your expectations do not get fulfilled you can move on with your life with a smile on your face.

Sources of happiness are innumerable!
Everyone loves chocolates! There’s a reason behind that. Chocolates are know to produce happiness inducing chemical substances called endorphins. Endorphin rush is also caused by physical exercises.
Humans are social beings and relationships form a major part of their lives. A person’s friend’s circle, marital status, employment, occupation, all determine a person’s happiness. The people around you, may be sad and can produce a sad aura around them that can affect you but if you can find even a simple reason to bring a smile, no ray of sadness can touch you.

Do what you love, Eat what you love but don’t forget to exercise(Remember, the endorphin rush?). There’s an important thing to note here. If you do something you love that harms others, you won’t be a happy man for long. A terrorist who claims his source of happiness to be terrorizing innocents, is lying. If you’re a terrorist, you know you aren’t happy. So living in co-operation with fellow living entities, forms an important ingredient to happiness.

Try to find happiness in every simple thing and make every life story have a fairy tale ending. “And so…they lived happily ever after.”

A brief study of the brain and neuroscience.

Neurotransmitters are chemical agents enclosed at the end of axons of nerve cells that diffuse across the synaptic gap and transmit information to neighboring cells. In layman’s terms, cells use these neurotransmitters to communicate with each other. Six important neurotransmitters are Acetylcholine, Serotonin, Norepinephrine, Dopamine, GABA, and Endorphins.

1) Acetylcholine is a chemical transmitter, found in both the Peripheral Nervous System and Central Nervous System, which allows neurons to communicate with each other within humans and other organisms.

2) Serotonins are neurotransmitters found in CNS of animals. They are involved in sleep, depression and memory.

3) Norepinephrine acts as a drug, it will increase blood pressure, trigger physical arousal and affect learning and memory. They are synthesized from dopamine and also function as a neurotransmitter and as a stress hormone.

4) Dopamine is also a neurotransmitter and hormone associated with movement, attention, learning, and the brain’s pleasure. Insufficient formation and action of dopamine can cause Parkinson’s disease.

5) GABA (Gamma-Aminobutyric Acid) is a neurotransmitter found in the nervous systems of widely divergent species. GABA helps balance and offset excitatory messages from neurons.

6) Endorphins are chemicals manufactured by the brain, which are released in response to stress or trauma and used to reduce the perception of pain.

The cerebral cortex is made up of four lobes; the frontal lobe, parietal lobe, temporal lobe, and occipital lobe. The cerebral cortex is involved in many complex brain functions including memory, attention, perceptual awareness, “thinking”, language, and consciousness.

1) The frontal lobe is located at the front of the brain and is associated with reasoning, motor skills, higher lever cognition, and expressive language. At the back of the frontal lobe, near the central sulcus, lies the motor cortex. This area of the brain receives information from various lobes of the brain and utilizes this information to carry out body movements.

2) The parietal lobe is located in the middle section of the brain and is associated with processing physical sensory information such as pressure, touch, and pain. A portion of the brain known as the somatosensory cortex is located in this lobe and is essential to the processing of the body’s senses.

3) The temporal lobe is located on the bottom section of the brain. This lobe is the location of the primary auditory cortex, which is important for interpreting sounds and the language we hear.

4) The occipital lobe is located at the back portion of the brain and is associated with interpreting visual stimuli and information. The primary visual cortex, which receives and interprets information from the retinas of the eyes, is located in the occipital lobe.

The limbic system is a system of functionally related neural structures in the brain that are involved in emotional behavior. Some of the structures of the limbic structures are the Amygdala, Hippocampus, Hypothalamus, and Thalamus.

1) The amygdala is nuclei involved in emotional responses, hormonal secretions, and memory.

2) The hippocampus acts as a memory indexer sending memories out to the appropriate part of the cerebral hemisphere for long-term storage and retrieving them when necessary.

3) The hypothalamus directs a large number of important functions. It’s the structure that wakes you up in the morning, and gets the adrenaline flowing. The hypothalamus is also an important emotional center, controlling the molecules that make you feel exhilarated, angry, or unhappy.

4) The thalamus are cells that relay sensory signals to and from the spinal cord and the cerebrum.

Insomnia, sleep apnea, restless leg syndrome, and narcolepsy are all serious sleep disorders that have harmful health consequences. These disorders are very common and can result from a number of causes like stress, illness, alcohol intake, and medications. People who work at night are at an increased risk of all these problems including emotional and mental problems too. In most cases, the darkness of the night triggers sleepiness. That’s why night shift workers often experience sleep disorders, because they cannot sleep when they start to feel drowsy. Their biological clock tells their body to sleep while they are engaging in work. Depression is also a factor for sleep disorder, where the patient wakes up in the middle of the night and cannot go back to sleep. Chemical changes in the body caused by diseases or medications can also be a result in sleeping difficulties.

The material I found most challenging in these chapters were to collect and memorize the characteristics and the many different types of neurotransmitters and their functions. I studied most of this portion in the textbook itself. If I needed more information on the subject matter I would refer to the Internet, and mostly pages from Wikipedia.

The brains ability to function and structure is referred to as plasticity. Functional plasticity is the brain’s ability to move functions from damaged to undamaged brain areas. Structural plasticity is the brain’s ability to change its physical structure in response to its environment. One of the research evidences are the comparison of rats raised in bare laboratory cages and the ones who are brought up in enriched environments and groups. The rats that were raised in enriched environments showed significant increases in brain growth that the rats from the impoverished environments. Put into practical applications, studying enrichment studies have had a major force in shaping the nervous systems of animals abroad. This study proves that a mentally, stimulating, and intellectually challenging are associated with enhanced cognitive functioning.
