Greece is usually a marvelous country, the cradle of Western civilization, the place where 642-742 democracy sprang up.

Greece is usually a marvelous country, the cradle of Western civilization, the place where 642-742 democracy sprang up. Greece is filled with history, arts, sciences, philosophy and mythology, a magic place to always think that good, relax and enjoy the marvels of nature. This is a special place, an expression of the best values of humanity.

Greece can be a civilized and developed country, which has a capitalism, the tourism like a major method of obtaining earnings. It is a member of the European Union which exerts a terrific influence about the entire world altogether fields and areas. Additionally , it has a high quality of life.

The Greek economy grew considerably until 2007, but beginning from 2009 it went into recession on account of your budget deficit plus the debts which the government has made. Until 2008 Greece had on the list of highest rates in the Euro-zone on its gross domestic product, being considered a country through an advanced high-income economy. Unfortunately, 000-153 since 2009 the world financial crisis affected not only Greece and the members in the European Union but other countries, even most developed ones. In 2009 Greece’s economy and budget faced the very best deficit and debts from the many The European union. The inflation, the speed of unemployment, the debts along with the budget deficits were regarded as being above the standard with the Eu this season. The federal government, forced with that economic decline, by the Eu and by the international market collaborators, adopted an austerity program, on the list of harshest in Europe.

This austerity program has led to several protests and riots, and also generated a small diminishing with the budget deficit this season. This austerity program included reforms, particularly in the medical and pension systems, inside public sector which included a reduction of dimensions, structural reforms on labor and reforms to industry and product markets.

This year Greece has received considerable the aid of European Union and The International Fund which provided short terms loans and medium terms loans in order to help the country to the debts and minimize the deficit. Cash advance loans and other measures for example credits, or a good investment in gold, for instance, during times of financial disaster are solutions which could reduce the deficits. In 2011 the Greek government has 350-001 created major structural reforms, even so the Greek National Bank’s forecast remains bleak, the rates in the economic growth being considered still negative.

Internet users are really concerned about ACTA and its try to censor the Internet.

In Tokyo, yesterday, there was signed the agreement of ACTA (Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement) by some members of the European Union. Individual members of the European Union signed the Treaty in Poland, Finland, France, Ireland, Italy, Portugal and Romania.

While the agreement is not signed by Germany, the Netherlands, Cyprus, Estonia and Slovakia. It is worth noticing however that the United States, Canada and South Korea had signed last year.

ACTA, is the product of four-year negotiations, which were kept secret. This year will be voted on by Parliament, allowing ISPs to monitor content and eventually lead to making everything censorshiped.

The vote resulted already mobilizing organizations for the protection of human rights and freedom of speech, which complain that the process is not conducted democratically.

The critics of SOPA, PIPA and ACTA including Wikipedia, AOL, the Foundation Creative Commons, eBay, the Electronic Frontier Foundation, Facebook, Google, the Human Rights Watch, the Internet Foundation, Kaspersky, Mozilla , Reporters Without Borders, Twitter and Yahoo.

Already many downloading sites has been eliminated by ACTA and SOPA. 2 examples are megaupload and filesonic.

Concluding, ACTA is a dangerous agreement, which could lead the internet, as we know it right now, chage forever.

Why you should be concerned?

What will happen if ACTA passes?

How can you help fighting ACTA?

What is ACTA?ACTA is short for Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement. It’s an agreement between developing countries, that would standardize intellectual property rights enforcement. In simple terms laws in those countries for intellectual property would be the same. So far US, Japan, part of EU, some other Asian countries has signed this agreement. Why you should be concerned?Although ACTA might seem an agreement that standardizes intellectual property rights, but it’s actually a dangerous agreement. The most worrying part is that it’s being passed without any knowledge given to the public. Also methods it suggests to enforce intellectual property rights are breaking on human rights. What that means, your Internet Service Provider(ISP) would be forced to track your traffic, that is what websites you visit, what kind of things you download and upload. They would watch your activity on-line all the time. What you would lose is privacy right. Your ISP could be forced to give information about your activity without warranty if you were suspected to infringe copyrights. Besides this governments and corporations could close down websites that they deem dangerous for their reputation under pretext of copyright infringement, simply media censorship. Beside these dangers, there’s also a chance at loss of lives. This agreement makes it harder to produce generic medicine under pretext of copyright infringement. That is not only would pharmaceutical companies could monopolize the market, but they also could make their own prices, in effect making it hard if not impossible to buy medicine for poor people. What will happen if ACTA passes?

First of all it would start with massive surveillance of Internet, in effect you’d lose all the little privacy you have. After that of course Internet would become corporations controlled, that would make it impossible to talk against corporations and governments. In effect it would kill off net neutrality and free speech under pretext of copyright infringement. Second stage would be monopolization of medicine production, whilst setting their own price. This would make it much harder to get medicine to people in need as I said before. However the biggest concern is unnecessary and hurtful surveillance and killing of privacy. All in all most of the world would become one big Police state. How can you help fighting ACTA?There’s couple of things you can do to fight ACTA. First of all you could sign these two petitions:

Petition against ACTA for EU.

Petition against ACTA for EU second one.

If you’re from US you should sign this petition too.Petition for US against ACTA.

Second part would be passive protest. I’ll include a poster that talks about the passive protest.

Beside this you should inform your friends, family, relatives anyone you know about ACTA. Because this agreement is being done in a total secret, you should inform more people, so that we could have more supporters that could help us fight against oppression that this agreement possess.
If you want to read about ACTA in more detail use this link, it provides the overview of ACTA.Overview of ACTA.

An official US report on global governance declared India as the third most powerful nation after the United States and China. However, the European Union countries, taken together as a bloc, follow the US and China.

An official US report on global governance declared India as the third most powerful nation after the United States and China. However, the European Union countries, taken together as a bloc, follow the US and China.

In 2010, the United States of America has topped the list of powerful countries/regions, accounting for nearly 22% of global power. The US is followed by China (more than 12%), European Union( more than 16 percent), and less than five perfect each for Japan, Russia and Brazil.

According to this international futures model, by the year 2025, the power of the US, Eu, Japan and Russia would decline that of China, India and Brazil would increase, even though there would be no change in this listing. By 2025, the US would still be the most powerful country of the world. but it would have a little 18% of the global power.

The US would be closely followed by China (nearly 16%), European Union (14%) and India (10%). The report concludes that three effects of rapid globalisation are driving demands for more effective global governance – economic independence, the interconnected nature of the challenges on the international agenda, and interwoven domestic and foreign challenges.

Network providers may not be obliged to check for illegal downloads customer data. Because this would violate fundamental rights, the ECJ ruled.

Music on the net as you can in this case legally – but also to download illegally.

Internet providers can not be forced to filter the content of their network traffic in order to prevent the illegal downloading of music files around. This was decided by the European Court of Justice (ECJ) in the case of a Belgian Internet provider. Such surveillance violates the EU directive on electronic commerce and is also incompatible with the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights.

ISPs may not therefore judged that the general monitoring obligations are imposed. In addition, should remain the right of free exchange of data maintained, the ECJ ruled. (Ref: C 70/10)

Such a review of all active data is tantamount to a “general surveillance” like that was incompatible with the EU directive on electronic commerce. Such a requirement would also lead to impairment of the entrepreneurial freedom of the provider, as it is a costly and set up his own cost monitoring system would have operated. In addition, the control is contrary to fundamental rights of the EU: the protection of personal data and disclosure of personal information.

In this case, the Belgian company had to exploitation of music copyrights, the Gema counterpart SABAM complained, because Internet users had downloaded music from the provider Scarlet, without paying for it. They used a so-called peer-to-peer program. This allows users to record directly connecting computers of other users to exchange data with them. The provider was therefore undertaken by a Belgian court to incorporate electronic barrier filter. Scarlet appealed.

Such filtering mechanisms are also discussed in Germany. They are possible without problems. The process used is called Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) and is used for example to detect and remove spam.

Access providers also want to use it to distinguish different content from each other and then to treat them differently. They argue that as video pages provided for so much traffic that would clog the pipes. Dpi means they could, it is claimed, forwarding and other important content preference slow.

But critics see this as a violation of several fundamental rights. Could then decide but each network operator, who can find out how. The free exchange of data is so vulnerable, not the so-called network neutrality preserved. The ECJ ruling confirms this argument.

Many Hungarians see themselves as victims of the EU and IMF - that made the popular populist Orbán. From him the most are disappointed, but alternatives are scarce.

Supporters of the far-right Jobbik party set fire to a European flag.

A large demonstration against the European Union and for the reigning Premier – there is something rare in Europe. On Saturday was just that in Budapest, 100,000 people demonstrated for their right-wing Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. “An appropriate response and powerful on the smear campaign by leftist forces,” it said in a statement to Members of European Parliament from the ruling Fidesz party. A few days later that Orbán then had to report to EU Commission President Barroso. If Western Europe, where the policy of the populist Orban criticized, that is a false picture of the country? What do people in Hungary, anyway?

The fact is that maintaining a remarkable number of Hungary, a diffuse but strong enemy, one that is marked by foreign domination by the EU, the IMF and the financial markets. Behind this are fears that go well in the Hungarian history and today mythicized reception. It also reflects a kind of overwhelmed by the everyday concerns of Hungary can answer with easy answers and clear front lines.

84 percent believe the country on a false path

The latest opinion polls, however, paint a different picture than the one from Saturday in Budapest. Orban was also equipped than 2010 hopefuls with a very strong majority, the agreement has been halved to his policies within eighteen months. 84 percent of the total population are of the opinion that the country is on the wrong path. The paradox is that this also include the figures for a large portion of those needs, which would always give the ruling party nor their voice. It also shows that the sense of reality in Hungary is large enough.

In the Sunday issue of the Ipsos institute would the ruling party Fidesz to 39 percent of the vote (2010: 54 percent), followed by the Socialists (MSZP) with 26 percent (20 percent). The far-right Jobbik with 22 percent of the MSZP close behind (17 percent). The data of other institutions to see something more Fidesz, MSZP and Jobbik par at around 20 percent. The really shocking figure is that currently almost two thirds of eligible voters did not want to vote. And just on the edge: With the new electoral law would Fidesz – with the same proportion of votes – not only to 67 percent, but even at 78 percent of the seats.

Orbán’s communication strategies

Prime Minister Orbán and his staff serve in government and party two completely different communication strategies. There is a kind of new speak with much Hungarian nationalist Budenzauber and a light version for abroad, mainly from the Blur, and concealment is appeasement.

Orban has made in the course of his conservative revolution, the announcement, “the IMF comes back, I’ll go.” Therefore, the justifications and be communicated so-called freedom struggle are so important for him inside. “We bow to the pressure, not the arguments,” he replied to the criticism from the EU Commission. A message not just for the electorate, but also his self-justification, his attempt to save face. New samples of this double game, we will see, the IMF should actually call for changes in the tax unit, one of the sacred cows of Orbánschen government policy.

Orbán can rely on a core constituency, recruited mainly from the better-earners, and he carried his corporatist policy-oriented clientele served and consistently increased. The mass of his supporters, however, provide rural people and workers and employees who were full of the economic and moral failure of the social-liberal governments predecessor’s nose. Orbán’s economic policies so far wayward will in future decide whether he can keep these voters. Polls say less and less, but the big demonstration showed that the mobilization still works very well.

Few problems for the opposition of the Orbán government. The socialists of the MSZP are now incapable of any kind of reorganization and to this day do not profess to own misconduct during her reign. Most opposition groups in Hungary simply lack an alternative plan. They know not what they should do with an achieved power. Orbán only have to worry about from the ever-resurgent far right, the Jobbik. In this environment, he tries to make people less extreme occurring and offers to take them politically. Playing with fire.

Misguided EU integration

Hungary has long been divided, the political, ideologically charged battle of the grave “Either – Or” is a hallmark of the political culture in Eastern Europe since the turn and a testament to the wrong priorities for the EU integration of these countries. The establishment and control of a single market, free movement of goods and capital enjoyed priority over the building of democratic structures and the development of civil society.

This primacy prevails today, blocking not only in Hungary but EU-wide solution ensuring the problems that have long since become systemic issues. It seems that many politicians in Europe to be quite right to remain in the categories of the Cold War and weiterzuzeichnen people’s problems as a left-right issue.

Orbán as a lesser evil

The majority of people in Hungary today is simply disappointed and it outweighs both the feeling that they have again made the wrong choice, as well as – even more crippling – insight, to have no choice at all. Orban in Hungary that also makes many things wrong, you can see very well, for example, you can feel it in your own wallet. One recognizes the profound system changes that will redound primarily to the benefit of the ruling party. Péter Kónya, ex-trade unionist and leader of the new movement Szolidaritás sees “a new existential angst” among the people caused by anti-social activities such as the flat tax was introduced prematurely and a growing disenfranchisement and disempowerment as the uniformity of democratic control authorities.

Only to show the people of Hungary is currently not a viable alternative. But supposedly they are faced with the choice to bow again to a “foreign” system that failed in the past and guilt for their plight, so the ruling Socialists at that time plus the EU and IMF. Or the policy of a true obsessive omnipotence, but to subjugate the national interests very strongly emphasizing the party and government. The latter seems the majority today, if not the better way to be the lesser evil yet. A defensive reaction against the “enemy country” is just still the greatest common denominator.

Voters gave the Croats the green light to their country to join the European Union in a referendum on Sunday.

Official results showed the initial referendum, voters approved the Croats to join their country to the EU in 2013, said Electoral Commission official said that 67% agreed to become their country’s 28th member in the European Union after more than twenty years of Croatia’s secession from former Yugoslavia.

He said Croatian President Ivo Josipovic “This was a very important day for Croatia, as well as the result of today’s resolution .. Select Croatia as a European.”

And welcomed the Croatian Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic this result, which paves the way to the European Union next year, and considered the people’s vote as a historic decision and perhaps a turning point in the history of Croatia, as he put it.

He also welcomed the President of the European Union and the European Commission’s decision yesterday to join the Croatian electorate bloc, and said the referendum is positive, “a clear reference to the South East Europe as a whole.”

The head of the Union, Herman Van Rompuy in a joint statement with the Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso said: “This shows that the membership of the European Union within reach through the political courage and strong reforms.”

“But this is a positive vote is good news for Croatia, but also for the region and for Europe .. EU membership will open new opportunities for the Croats and will help in securing stability and prosperity of their homeland.”

The accession of the former Yugoslav state to the Union still needs to get the green light in the parliaments of Croatia and the 27 member states of the European Union. It is scheduled to Croatia to join the bloc in the first in July 2013.
