The use of capital punishment has been a permanent fixture in society
since the earliest civilizations. It has been used for various crimes ranging from the desertion of soldiers during wartime to the more heinous crimes of serial killers.

Euthanasia in a nutshell.

This is an essay I wrote about euthanasia in one of my English classes.

An independent commission that investigated the issue of assisted suicide (Euthanasia) calls to allow doctors to prescribe lethal drugs to terminally ill patients who remained less than 12 months to live. The problem: politicians do not want to be perceived as supporting the killing of the old and weak.

Euthanasia, Mercy Killing and Human Rights.

Only two country legalized euthanasia. But now when I learn about this mercy killing, I think we should legalized euthanasia.

Is euthanasia as morally unethical as allowing one to suffer?

While the world seems to debate the desirability or otherwise of Euthanasia, death has been happening all around us without any let up. Some of these are directly caused by the governments, by design or by accident. My predicament is why governments find difficulty in allowing Euthanasia when they can cause deaths with no apologies?

Again sadly topical debate on euthanasia goes on. The problem should it be based on health professionals, whose mission is to care? On a law that can open the door to abuses? On the personal liberty of the patient? A thorny issue that remains well?

I am one of those who is against mercy killing. But at times it might be justified.
