Ongoing Excavations of The Ancient Armenian Capital

Armenia was an essential and indivisible part of the Greco-Roman civilization and evidenced by excavations in Armavir. This was announced today during a press conference, Director of the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia, Pavel Avetisyan.

Amri was one of the most important pre-Indus Civilization sites in Sindh. Archaeological excavations at the site have uncovered the ruins of one of the earliest fortified settlements in South Asia. Excavations indicate five occupation layers belonging to Amri, Indus, Jhukar, Jhangar and Muslim Cultures.
