Since the birth of the Human Race, there has been this insatiable and, in some cases, obsessive , need to solve the enigma of: What Happens After Death.

In most religions, the ready answer is that it is a mystery that must be accepted as a matter of Faith. Whether religious or not, I believe that it is the simplest way to deal with this quandary.

It is like this, folks: There have been countless theories brought forth on the subject. A deluge of books written. Innumerable broadcasts and interviews with so called “experts” and “witnesses”. To this day, we are no closer to finding an answer than we were at the beginning. Which lends immense clout to the belief in the old maxim: “There is a time and a place”.

There are two ways man has found to handle the situation. One group warns that we had better be prepared for our arrival in the “Great Beyond”. The other “claims” to believe that…Poof…you are dead and that is the end of it. The latter theory is often countered by the proverb: “There are no Atheists in the “Foxhole”… I, personally, wonder why beings such as we were created with such a degree of intelligence, ability and creativity and to…what? … ”die-off” with no place to go? …

We have all heard about the ghost stories, hauntings, out-of-body experiences. Then, there are the near-death events, and, those who swear that they, actually, died and returned because an “angel” shook a finger and told them that this “was not their appointed time”. And we have the stories of seeing the “White Light” at the end of the “Tunnel” and meeting with long dead relatives.

I, myself, do not have the wherewithal to define what is real and what is “lore”? …

We all agree that the World, as we know it, and, in which we live as well as the Universe into which we gaze in the night do, in fact, exist. Of course, we also have the theorists who tout the principle of multidimensional existence. All theory aside, it is difficult to argue with reality. All this had to have been created at some point by Someone or Something. All this works so perfectly and in such an orderly fashion that it has to be managed by Someone or Something. Ergo, a Being or Energy so powerful and complex that no science in our present realm can begin to put into equation, word or thought the very nature of it all. The Chicken or the Egg…Hmmm…

Having said all this, I have never, once, seen a ghost, experienced O.B.E. nor near death. I am not, however, prepared to dismiss these things as overactive or “messed-up” imagination.

I will conclude by saying that my “strategy”, at this time, is to keep the odds in my favor and…Be a Good Boy…Whaddyathink? …

You ever wondered about wondering? About the fact that facts may be non-existent? I'm using the thoughts of René Descartes for this article. I'll give you the provement of existence, like you never heard before.

I doubt, so I exist. There is something I can’t doubt about and that’s the fact that I doubt. I know I doubt because I do, and if I doubt about the fact I doubt, that confirms I doubt. I can’t prove to you I doubt so you can’t say for sure that I exist, but I know I do. There are two other things I can prove by knowing this.

God exists. Why? I’ll explain this to you. You might need to read this over to understand. Doubting proves thinking. Doubt is a thought, and doubt exists so thinking exists. Why does it exist? Because it’s a pure, logical, and distinct idea. To think about pure ideas about the outside world, there needs to be provement for that. Something that guarantees this, is God. He is the thing that turns the jammer in our minds off. The only problem is, if God exists, there should be a provement for that. So here you go: Thinking is closed, so it has an end. Because of this, the idea of infinity can’t come from the mind. So the idea of infinity has to have an origin from outside our minds. Which might be God. Existence of infinity, means existence of perfect infinity, which equals what God should be.

The third thing we can be sure about, is the existence of the outside world. We see, hear, feel, and smell things that create imaginations. The question is: Are those imaginations real, and are they as we see them? If we want to be sure, they should come from doubt, or God, because we know those exist. If they come from doubt, that will mean the world is made of ideas. The problem is, that those signals from the outside world are not controlled by our minds, but they come to us as something uncontrolled. The second possibility is God. But why can something that’s perfect, give us false signals? False signals mean lies, and lies mean imperfection. So there has to be a third “thing” that gives us signals: The outside world.

Death carries no paticular definition and no any specific meaning. If born, have to die.We say so,but what happens after death? The moot point revolves here.Could we still recognize ourselves then or we would be existing on different world unaware of ourselves ?…..Certainly,we have no answers.

Death has always been a matter of mystery and curiosity for us. Different cultures and religions have their own myths about death. We talk about heaven and hell all the time. We are taught lots of things about body and soul. But actually what are these ? Or we are just wandering far away from realities?

Why do we die? Science exactly and precisely elaborates the typical reasons of death. And after that , Science also takes a pause because it has no comments about “what happens after death?”

“Our dead body lies there on the earth but soul gets separated calmly and floats on the air freely. And in accordance to our virtues and sins , we are categorized to go to either heaven or hell.Heaven is the place of God or say a holy and supreme blissful place which can be seen only after death and only by perfectly virtuous and saint people. On the contrary , hell is the place of punishment for the wicked after death, the abode of devils.”

The above mentioned statements are not described by any voyager after returning back from heaven and hell .These are merely the superstitious thoughts of common people. Are they really exist? Is there any evidencial truth in the issues about after death ? The reply has no foundation,of course. All the possiblities are deeply buried in suspense.

In my opinion all these controversies can only realized after our own death. That’s why, be good and let others live good.

Why do I favor Epicureans?

The ancient Greeks have had a major role in the shaping of our modern western society. The reason for this most probably stems from the way this early civilization developed their morals and ideals, as well as the different philosophies that they started. After reading the handout, I have reason to believe that the school of thought which is most in tune with my own standards of philosophy appears to be the Epicurean school of thought. To understand what the Epicurean ideology is, one must gain an idea of who the Epicureans were.

The Epicureans were a group of early philosophers founded by a man known by the name of Epicurus. The Epicureans believed that the purpose of life in itself is the pursuit of pleasure, and the avoidance of pain, or anything that may cause pain. This may seem like a peculiar philosophy to some, but it made sense to the Epicureans that pleasure was the purpose of existence. This is one of the ideals that I myself hold, at least in some ways. I believe that one’s life should be lived so as to avoid any pain, and to promote the happiness that can be gathered from whatever we see. Another one of their core principles was that man should be, what they termed, “virtuous.” This was a core principle because to them, possessing a virtuous attitude brought them pleasure. I also believe in this principle. I seek to be as virtuous as I possibly can so as to aid in the spread of such things as courtesy and kindness. The one ideal that the Epicureans held that I do not believe in is the lack of a God, or a greater being. I also believe in the afterlife.

The human struggle for power, love, acceptance, enlighten, and temptation have plagued humans since man first walked this earth. All actions have opposite reactions, Newton made history with this little idea. It can also be said that all actions tend to have some emotional influence that impacts the result. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction, Newton’s third law. Emotions have been felt by nearly every human and some often more than others. Sadness, Happiness, Hope, Anger, depression, and the list goes on. Yet we all have the same kinds of emotions, we tend to have results that differ. The simple question is why? Lets take four teenagers, Connor, Tony, Vanessa and Kristina. All of which share many aspects of life in common. Similar situations, similar emotions, yet different teenagers, different outcome. Yet three of the four teenagers very noticeably gain common ground with each other, while Kristina doesn’t.
The novels of Crank-Kristina tells a story of a young teenager that is still a kid her self. Kristina find out that life isn’t always set in stone. Kristina winds down a road that leads to her life destruction, or so it would appear. Kristina ends up pregnant, no father and addiction knocking at her door. A kid trying to raise a kid is a reality in our society to day. Statistics show that more than half of teenagers age 15-19 have had sex. And an estimated 750,00 teenagers age 15-19 have become pregnant. 59% of them actually giving birth and 27% leading to abortion. Kristina is one of the 59% teen moms. Yet if having a kid isn’t enough, Crank the drug finds a home in Kristina. Struggling wouldn’t even begin to express the pain and growing up that Kristina embarks in Crank.
Following the destructive and unforgiving path of drugs you wind up at a psychiatric hospital. Under normal circumstances this would be the last resort, drugs and issues would be attempted to get solved. Most patients here would be at their lowest, no morality, hope, believability. Yet in Impulse you find our remainder three teenagers, Connor, Tony, and Vanessa. All of which have attempted to commit suicide and have failed and wound up in Aspen Springs. Conner tried to end his by way of a gun, Tony tried to overdose on pills and Vanessa by way of ‘Cutting’. They find that out that with hope, love, and friends anything can be over came.
Family is to be considered one of the most important elements of life that every human should have. Yet this is obviously not true, in all cases pertaining to the two novels this may be the number one reason why all kids spiraled out of control. Tony, Vanessa and Katrina all had dysfunctional families. Mothers that lived their lives to extremes. Vanessa’s mom for example was a drug user herself, single handily polarized Vanessa’s life. “ It was weird to come home, seeing the hurt in his eyes.. How my mother promised that life would change and my father wouldn’t be allowed to see us, yet here we are” (Hopkins pg.270-290) Vanessa is home for the holidays (good behavior at Aspen Springs) and get to see her Grandmother, Father, and her little brother. The trip becomes her personal awareness and triumph to say no to temptation. And a trip down memory line.
All problems find some way to lead back to family. Love and acceptance, two key emotions have seemed to drive not only teenagers but humans in general to gain this. Love is a drug, and we all know that drugs will become additive and hard to break. Acceptance is just as strong, possibly even stronger. This emotion is the one we tend to share with more people than we are aware of. We go through life hoping that we are accepted, first by family. When that happened and we venture off to the big and exciting world of education (grade school, middle, high school and college) are longing for acceptance becomes greater as we grow older. Especially if we are not getting accepted. You find that you come to a crossroad in your life. Positive, Hard road or the negative, easier road. Morality and numerous X, Y factors come into play, and personally it a 50-50 chance on how things go. But what is for certain is that Connor, Vanessa, Tony and Kristina all choose the easy path and gained a harder life out of it.
Acceptance is one factor these characters all share. They were longing for acceptance by their families, peers and high powers. It what drove them to the next step, drugs.
Drugs come in many forms. Previously stated that love was in fact a drug. Love is what makes us human. To love somebody, something, anything, you must love yourself. And to love yourself you must accept yourself of who, what, and why the way you are. And when you accept yourself you can accept others and love others.
Of all the characters Connor is the one that has issues with love. When your young love is anything but easy, clear and fun. Well at first it is and then it usually ends up in weirdness and you then wish you never got involved. Yet this isn’t always true, Connor’s love of his life did dump him and he lost her. But he never stop loving her. He was addicted to her love, although he never put it this way.
“ She was my everything how I wished I didn’t have my heart broken. I can still smell her sent, how she used to make me feel. I don’t know what will happened between us but this I do know, I will always love her.” (Hopkins pg.156-170)
This shows that unlike most Guys Connor seemed to be very optimistic. He seems to have this undying love for this girl that he has only know for a short period shows that he has come become addicted to love. Love is like this invisible drug that no man or woman is immune to.
All the teen’s choice of choice are drugs. Drugs usually do harm and nothing really good comes out of it. Connor used a gun, Tony used pills (oviously a type of drug), the same with Kristina (Crank) and Vanessa the cutter. Based on the fact that all our drugs and all do harm shows a common hood between all of them. And these drugs to them on a pathway of destruction and quite possibly to there deaths. So what stopped them?
Religion a whole other topic on its own is to be a “simple way” of understand life and it’s ways. Yet that is just another complex system doomed to fail at some point in time, why not take the simple approach that no human can cheat life. And if you sustain hope life will become clear. This is truly one factor that all these teenagers lack. A simple four letter word is nothing but simple. Hope is defined as a desire with expectation of obtainment. Yet other have stated that “Hope is a dangerous thing” (King, Shaw shank Redemption) Hope is a dangerous thing, it can lead to false pretense and ultimately to ones destruction. But for a teenager life may seem that its been tainted and falsified, but just like Sri Sathya Sai Baba once said, “Life is a mirage; it comes from no visible rain”. It simply just appear to be tainted teenager are stick in the middle not really knowing which is way is up or down. And logically you would think only time would slove this issue, experience. But before you can walk you need to learn to crawl. And hope is the crawling stage of life. Hope is one of those life lessons that you cannot teach, its either given or its self taught. Kristina, Vanessa, Tony and Connor all learned that they alone control there life’s and having friends helping along the way seems to be the best way. True friends of course that you can personally relate to and you both have mutual understanding of each problem and working to a common goal. To become “ normal”
Archetypes have been used throughout literature to help readers make connections to the book, to life, to writing project and so forth. All these characters have a combinations of many of the kinds of archetypes yet only the best archetypes were chosen. Vanessa is very clingy to Connor, her father, little brother, basically all her males in her life. She is a some what dependant and longing for love, affection Love for her is like a underwear, one minute they are clean then next they are dirty. In this quote Vanessa expresses her “feelings” for Connor, “He was tall, blue eyed, smart, and everything I wanted. I pictured

As I see life around me, I tried to reason between them, I was puzzled to see that what was told to me got me nowhere near the real truth, now I stand midst of fools ad posers and I laugh inside me with tears in my eyes with a satisfaction that I at least know life is not about food, money or position but anything beyond existence.

A brief illustration

Once I got a dream of being lost in the space beyond the sky. I was so terrified to find myself alone among the heavenly beasts, had I realized it was just a dream I would have explored more like a free spirit but instead I was so insecure, anxious and worried and so busy to find my way out moving around with all the strength I had only to wake up in my bed, well it all made no sense for an instant but everything got back to me I was wondering how our life can be any different .Life here may be just a dream which is more real and logically appropriate and say 70 years long where 50% of the time we end up dreaming .

We are all so mortal not sure about the next second .so it is best to live every moment without any regret or hatred.

Peace to all my fellow humans

Love

An overview on how to grasp a general understanding of our existance and purpose or reason behind our lives.

Trying to figure out and understand the meaning of live is no easy task. I don’t feel that anyone could really answer the question “why was I born”? “Why am I here”? Looking at life from a general perspective; you could answer the question about life by saying; I was born because of the act of sex and I am here because when you are born you are expected to live your natural life on earth until your last day.

Every person is unique and no two people in the world are exactly alike. Basically, we are born; we live our lives and one day we will die. It is true that the two things that all Americans must do is pay taxes and eventually die.

What we do with our natural life on earth depends upon several factors. Intelligence, drive, ambition, economics, beliefs and other factors play a huge role in our success in life. Yes, it is true money can’t buy good health but it can buy a heck of a lot of things that will bring most of us at least temporary happiness. The saying “money talks” without a doubt is true.

Some people are born with high ambitions and the drive to succeed. Others may not be so motivated but do plan to educate themselves and eventually succeed in today’s world in one-way or another. Keep in mind, education is of critical importance and should not be taken lightly. In today’s society a Bachelor degree from a four-year college is just about equivalent to a high school diploma. Employers are now looking for education beyond a college degree such as a graduate or doctorate degree.

It has been said that those who come from a stable family background, are reasonably intelligent and have some kind of religious affiliation tend to be happier and more successful in their daily lives. Personally, after careful studying of different situations, family groups, education etc, I have somewhat disproved the original theory.

My study concluded that education, religion, family stability all play a critical role in our future successes; it doesn’t really guarantee anything. I have found that those who came from a dysfunctional family unit and had little or no religious belief turned out to be just as successful possibly more than those with stable back round and religious beliefs. Therefore, an atheist can be successful and stable as any one else.

In conclusion, we are born with a certain intelligence level, we look a certain way, we have a family in one form or another, and we live each day of our life striving for success and approval and one day we die. Therefore, we must make the most of each day and live life in an appropriate manner with a level of morality and integrity.

Repression is a good sign that our coping skills are not as good as they should be. We repress our feelings instead of openly feeling and dealing with them.

When we experience repression it is usually a sign that our coping skills are not very well developed. The reason is because it’s easier and less stressful to go back to old familiar behavior than to learn new behavior patterns that reflects the nature of our changing existence. As we face uncertainty we seem to have a nostalgic wish for our past as children when decisions were made for us. Responsibility and decision making are requirements for adults, but we sometimes dodge from the challenge. For example young adults often regress to childish behavior when they are with their parents.

Image via Wikipedia

Some of us repress feelings and awareness. We commit them to the unconscious and obey patterns of avoidance to them. We can’t allow our feelings to settle too long or let our train of thought travel far in that direction. And so, we live on guard against feelings and awareness. Instead of being aware and confronting our feelings, we hop on a plane and go flying away, and we always keep a plane handy. Repressing feelings is a secret we even keep from ourselves. Fear of confronting painful memories is at the root of all compulsive behavior. When repression begins we are immediately off our center. We move from being conscious, present, and sensible to our actions to compulsive and single minded. When repression begins to operate our ability for consciousness vanishes.

Image via Wikipedia

To what extent are we willing to deny reality in order to keep our rosy pictures? In the case of an abusive husband, we may make a reassessment of the abuse by reiterating to ourselves all his good qualities which overshadow the abuse until the next time. We hold onto unrealistic pictures of our lives and we are afraid of seeing our relationships more honestly, because if we are honest about the relationship action is called for. And action is what we do not want to take.

To learn where repression hides, the place to look is in behavior we preform unconsciously. When we notice ourselves becoming disturbed, anxious, unable to concentrate, when we feel ourselves tighten physically and mentally, find ourselves lost in thought, then we must stop and recognize our emotional disturbance. You would think since its lurking inside us it would be easy to identify but it’s very difficult to drag the hidden feelings into the light.

Image via Wikipedia

If you are an intellectual being you can repress your feelings for a lifetime. You can rationalize and discuss them but not feel, or you can drag them out kicking and screaming and get them into the light of day, experience all the pain you have dredged up from the depth, and make decisions accepting your feelings and being aware.

Is it real or not? It may be just a dream or natural illusion. Who knows?

Of the lake monster or monster of Loch is the name of the great unknown animals, which allegedly has been sighted, and / or you believe me in freshwater, although their existence has never been scientifically confirmed. Most of them have no evidence outside the observation suspects and controversial photographs and a large part of opinion do not usually exist in the classical zoology and science on the subject, and especially the investigations of the followers of the shoes.

There are many speculations, what did the sea monster could. Many regarded them as purely exaggerations or misinterpretations are familiar and natural events or in the manufacture and hoaxes. Times are the observations of seals, otters, deer, water birds diving, big fish like giant sturgeon, the balls, space, the squid, the distortion in the light of the transition ship wakes, wave or unusual models have been proposed to explain Special reports.

Skeptics point out that the descriptions of the creatures change over time with the values of humor and local cultures, the debate on the configuration of the folk beliefs and not what was expected, if the reports were genuine encounters with real animals .

According to the Swedish scientist author Bengt Sjogren (1980), on the lake in the conviction, monsters, for example, in Loch Ness, with the legend of Kelp. Sjogren’s syndrome argues that the sea monster have in the course of history. Earlier reports often speak of horses, like the appearance, but more frequent reports of modern reptiles and more-than dinosaurs apparent successes, and Bengt Sjogren syndrome conclusion that the legend of the Kelpie to this day the legends of sea monsters.

Theories other heavily modified by the faithful, including the unknown species of giant eel or surviving aquatic, prehistoric reptiles, such as plesiosaurs. A theory that the monsters are of the view that sometimes cultivated in the form of amphibians, which are usually all minors’ rest of his life as an axolotl.

Some suggested that the animals are actually a kind of psychic phenomena. Some also have a Tanystropheus, although very few proponents of this theory. More sensible, the first real crypto zoologist Bernard Heuvelmans took place in the course of his life, that types of plesiosaur have been observing in fact an unknown species of long necked seal.

In many of these areas, particularly in the area of Loch Ness, Lake Champlain and the Okanagan Valley, the lake by these monsters have become major tourist draws.

Some say Aliens are a hoax! I think they are wrong!

Aliens, yes that is right do they really exist? I believe they do! If you think about
it scientists admit the universe is endless, somewhere in this endless expanse there must be
life on another planet, perhaps even on identical to earth. Have you ever heard the argument
life cannot be supported on such a planet? I have and immediately I thought, you mean WE could not survive. Does it not stand to reason that perhaps we breathe oxygen but another living thing could breathe carbon? Has it occurred to the great minds of the world that 20 degrees Celsius is only perfection for humans? Any other planet could have inhabitants that don’t need the same things as we do!

Another interesting theory I have noticed floating around is that all living things not from earth
are super advanced and have lasers and energy shields or space helmets! I believe that there is a planet out there that someone just figured out how to make their equivalent of a bow and arrow!

There may be a race out there somewhere who eats meals in pill form and fights wars with rays of light, or maybe WE are that race? We are developing all sorts of gizmo’s and electronics, in 20 years we may be on someone else’s planet and they will think, wow it is aliens! That star you see in the sky is a civilization more advanced then us watching us intensely, just like we will someone else when we have the technology to space travel longer distances and discover the other forms of life in the universe. They could look like us or they could be rocks with feet or something cool and sci-fi looking! The truth is the realm of impossibility is too widely used when it does not even truly exist, can you tell me there is no one else out there? I didn’t think so!
