Remember when George W. Bush was President? Bush went through the ringer every day of that Presidency and the first lady as well as the children were all fair game. Now we have rules. These rules place the children off limits as well as the wife.

President Obama can do no wrong according to the well edited and selective news media. They weed out all the bad and hype up whatever the good is. What happened to reporting news honestly? What happened to journalistic integrity? The balance is well off towards one side. The fairness is no longer applied, or implied. The blatant hard facts are now well hidden or never mentioned. They set up their golden boy so when he gives a speech, he can follow up with that same selectivity. It is the same, when the police interview a killer, and that killer insists he is innocent.

The trouble with that is, when we have to listen to that all day, we start to get turned off, and tune out. People who are bull artists, live a very lonely life. We just get tired of hearing it.

This morning I woke up and it was rainy. The clouds covering the sky, a gray morning that was the prediction of a wet and sad day.

I had to do the laundry, so I was wondering why I didn’t do it yesterday. Bummer.

Then I went to run some errands, a couple of things I had to buy at the supermarket. And all of a sudden, it happened.

Two hours later, there are barely some clouds in the sky. It is a light blue day, bright and colourful. A perfect day for a pic-nic or a walk at the beach.

It is amazing how things can happen so fast, how changes occur. Be it in this case Mother Nature that had one more trick up her sleeve, or be it any circumstance of life.

So if you are buried in some deep trouble, or things seem not to be going your way, just know that as quickly as this, circumstances may change and be quite the opposite in a few minutes, hours, days or weeks.

And you may be experiencing the joy of living a brigther day.

I hope it happens to you. My silly experience with the weather and the laundry had one more time reminded me the magic of life.

While I was sitting amongst some friends on last night, a very interesting conversation ensued about a project we’re jointly working on.
As the discussion continued we began to think of how we could make money to generate sponsorship for our endeavor. The discussion became very lively and animated, after about ” target=”_blank”>30 minutes several nearby patrons began to lean in and it appeared when E. F. Hutton talked (that would be me) people listened.

Maybe it was because I was excited about a positive discussion that didn’t revolve around any negativity, rap artist or what he or she said. Four ” target=”_blank”>(black) men a (black) woman and two ” target=”_blank”>young people enjoying a dialogue and some very good food I might add, which discoursed something like a movie. We began to ask questions like what can we do to make an impact on our local community in Dallas,TX not just an impression. By this time several women who were sitting nearby paused their conversation, and kind of “ear-hustled” what we were discussing.

Well it probably seemed like we were the only ones talking especially as passionate as each one of us were about taking the city and empowering young people and adults alike. Who would be our target market? How would we “brand” what about a” target=”_blank”> website? As we continued to mostly laugh and dialogue of course, the conversation became more and more serious.

When we digressed around to a centralized theme or idea particularly Christianity that’s when it got more quiet. I believe (at this time we had the whole room’s attention!) Someone said ” we definitely want to bring the central” target=”_blank”> idea that we want to include a Christian perspective to this” target=”_blank”> show, but not just another”religious”program , but include others views present the facts and let them decide what to do with the information.

I couldn’t help but glance around at this time, when I noticed to women nearly about fall out of their seats!Well, I think I understand, its rare to see young black entrepreneurs talking about something positive without cursing, arguing or acting like we don’t know any better.

When we got around to discussing who will be our target market for this project, another person stated “even though we’re black lets not make this just about us and our issues, because many of the issues are universal to all cultures.

Then I interjected, “sure you have a point but its our future generations that have affected by AIDS, poverty, incarceration, suicide, homicide, the criminal justice, system,the increasing drop out rates and their lackadaisical attitude towards the truth, facts and the lack of knowledge.

Witha passion for an unexpected reaction, I said “I bet most of them don’t even know that “black” is not a color”. After a brief pause, that seemed to suck the air out of the room , someone said “what do you mean? and with a brief explanation, I began to explain that the label of black was assigned as a stigma to African American slaves after the late 1800s early 19th century popularized by the rise of “Jim Crowism” to negatively depict an African Americans.

This can clearly be seen in the definition of the word black (American Heritage dictionary) black- having no predominant hue; a perfect absorber of the light; dark, evil or wicked; attended with disaster IE black comedy, black Sabbath, blackout, black hole, black list, black death, black adder, black magic etc.

The term was intended to infer a negative image attached to a people to degrade, demoralize, and de-sensitize a particular or specific group. As I continued my discourse , I noticed the room was quiet and virtually tuned in, and I couldn’t help but notice they all appeared to agree tentatively including those of other races which sat nearby.
