Thus, it is difficult to focus on other things, for example, the location of a key or shopping schedule. It is also caused by hormonal fluctuations significantly induced fetal movement.

“There is a ‘price’ to be paid from these changes, such as being forgetful. But the benefits for pregnant women so they become more forgetful is sensitive and a good mother,” said Laura Glynn.

He also explains why the movement of the fetus in the womb can have a direct impact on the brain, and makes women more sensitive so even though women may not be aware of fetal movements will increase the mother’s heartbeat.

“Pregnancy is a critical period in the development of the nervous mother,” said Glynn, whose study published in the journal Current Directions In Psychological Science.

The cells of the fetus will go into the mother’s bloodstream that will also affect the workings of his brain. “It’s interesting to know which cells are attracted to certain areas of the brain affect the mother,” said Glynn.

They say a woman has the right to choose, but didn’t she use that right when she became pregnant? Did she not know, especially in this time, and with our knowledge, that spreading her legs and doing whoopy would get her pregnant in the long run? With this foreknowledge, and roll of the dice, willingly, shouldn’t she have to keep and raise the child?

Do we not prevent people from hurting themselves in many ways, such as not allowing them to be cannibals, because the meat isn’t cooked and is bad for you, as well as it is against social mores, and possibly involves killing someone (there probably aren’t too many pieces of people just lying around to eat on)?

Or surgery, which is banned from the normal person performing it on themselves, because of the risk of not enough knowledge for the procedure, as well as safety protocols which need to be adhered to, along with the need for a medical license.

We stop people from doing things all the time which are deleterious to their health and well-being, as well as if it involves the health and well-being of another. So, why is abortion allowed when there is another person or persons involved?

A woman can choose to keep her child, and married or not, force the man to support the child; however, if she chooses to kill the baby, the man is given no say, and has no rights. Hmmm! No rights to keep or give up  the child, and possibly no rights to support/not support the child – talk about a double standard!

We are pushing the envelope every day as to when life begins, with some believing it begins with the sperm and ova, and others only after the child is delivered, but science – medical science – is proving that life exists in the child at earlier and earlier terms, with some saying now that life exists as early as six weeks, and even at conception, but we treat the baby as a bag of garbage.

Should we keep it, as opposed to the child, or should we throw it in the trash, like so much detritus?

We deliberately dumb down the speech used in the procedure and on the baby, by calling it an abortion instead of killing, and calling the baby a fetus, which means baby, but most people don’t realize that! Why do we tiptoe around this – because we know it is wrong, and we know it is murder?

In forty years, we have now killed enough children, to make up one-fifth of today’s population, while pretending that we haven’t done a thing wrong!

So, does a woman have the right to kill her child, and where will this abortion process end? Perhaps, one day, we will be so deluded, that families will be allowed to do late-term abortions themselves, which will involve killing their child at home at two years old, because mom thought her little princess wasn’t smart enough, or didn’t like her brown eyes. No longer murder, but just a late-term abortion!

We are, or were, a civilized country, and yet, I see more and more barbaric things happening the longer I live. Even in war, we give respect and quarter, and yet, here with these precious infants, we act like it is the right of a woman to murder just for the sake of convenience!

In this country, and others, I would rather be a soldier in the throes of full battle, than an infant in the womb of its mother. I would have a better chance of survival!

Everyone likes to believe their own opinion is right. Since abortion has moral significance, the abortion debate tends to hurt the pride of whoever is “wrong.” We are left with a deadlock where both sides are emotionally attached to their claims, and disregard any solid evidence against them. Let’s try something new. Let’s just think things through without making initial claims about right or wrong.

A fertilized human egg cell is different from other cells because it will grow into a baby. However, the cell is not capable of thought or emotion. In fact, it is missing a lot of things that most humans have. For these reasons, some people conclude that this cell is not a person yet, and may be disposed of at the mother’s discretion.

What about disabled people who are missing the ability to think or feel in some way? Would you say these people are not as human as average, and therefore may be exterminated?

What about children? Are children less human because they are not as developed as adults, and are unable to think or feel to the same degree?

The capabilities and stage of development of a human being are irrelevant to his or her humanity and personhood.

In other words, a baby at conception is still a human being and a person. That means fertilized eggs in laboratories are entitled to the same protection as children.

I am aware that some women go through a lot of unexpected pain because of pregnancy, and life would be much easier for them if the pregnancy was aborted. Friends of mine have been through that kind of situation. They were scared. In one instance, it was a choice between abortion and losing support of family. In another, it was a choice between abortion and possible jail for the father.

This is what I told my friends: No amount of pain can be compared in value to a person’s life.

I can’t dictate whether your life is worth living. You have to form that opinion for yourself. How offensive would it be, if I decided that my well-being was more important than your life, and then prevented you from being born?!

Concerning abortion, people are endlessly debating women’s rights or lack thereof. What about the baby’s rights? I think the baby has a right to choose.

This conflict is perhaps reflective of the nation’s ambivalence over abortion. While it is often depicted as a two-sided debate, the abortion controversy is actually quite multifaceted, involving complex speculation on biology, ethics, and constitutional rights. Those who identify themselves as prolife, for example, generally contend that abortion is wrong because it kills human life, which they believe begins at conception. However, some pro-lifers grant that abortion should be allowed in cases of rape or incest, or when the pregnancy threatens the life or health of the mother. Those who identify themselves as pro-choice often maintain that abortion must remain legal because a woman should have the right to control her body and her destiny. But some pro-choicers also believe that there should be certain restrictions on teen access to abortion and on abortions occurring after the first trimester of pregnancy. This mixture of opinions is probably why Gallup polls consistently show that 50 to 60 percent of Americans favor abortion “only under certain circumstances.”

The continuing debate over a relatively new form of second-trimester abortion called intact dilation and extraction (D&X) reveals the complexity of American opinion on the subject. Referred to as “partial-birth abortion” by its opponents, D&X is usually performed on women who are between twenty and twenty-four weeks pregnant, ostensibly when the fetus has severe defects or when the pregnancy endangers the mother’s health. During the procedure, the doctor delivers all but the head of the fetus from the uterus, then uses scissors to cut a hole in the base of the fetus’s skull so that its contents can be removed. This allows the fetus’s head to collapse so that it can more easily pass through the cervical opening.

      There are certain things that women attempt to abort, because one is financial support. They believed their meagre income cannot afford to support another child. Some are genetics reasoned. They found out that their baby carrying in the womb is mentally retarded or genetic abnormality. Some are due to health. The mother is sickly and any pregnancy becomes risk to the health or life of the mother. Some don’t want to get pregnant because it hinders their career and profession.

       Abortion – is an expulsion of the fetus from the womb of the mother which is not yet viable to live. Different from birthing coz you need to wait til 9 months for their growth development milestone inside the mother’s womb. If the fetus removed not full develops it will die because it does not possess the capability to live by itself. They need more months in order to make it to live life they need a shelter to progress like in mother’s womb where they sustain their food.

Different Types of Abortion:

Spontaneous Abortion – the fetus is accidentally expulsed from the mother’s womb without the consent of the mother. This can happen if the mother’s accidentally fall down or the implantation is weak, in this case this is not sinful because the mother does not want it to happen. She needs to care with the baby for their own good.

Indirect Abortion – It happens when the fetus die inside the mother’s womb due to medical treatment upon a pregnant woman. Since the mother doesn’t want it to happen. It’s not sinful.

Direct/Induced Abortion – Is the wilful and with consent of the mother, expulsion of the fetus from the women to prevent it from developing further into full-term.

Therapeutic Abortion – Artificially induced medical treatment to safeguard mother’s health. In this situation, it may a dilemma between the two; the life of the child is put against the health of the mother. The right intention is to saved both if however if the mother health be in danger, then used double effect. (Family comes first).      

                Although we made mistake, we must prevent in order to praise God. Life is really sacred. It has to be respected; God is the giver of life so he is the only one who should take away. The fetus must have the right to live, they our future generation. 

I’m against abortion. And unlike most Americans, I do not support pro life and killing innocent unborn babies. I believe nature should take its course. Now most people who support abortion don’t consider killing a fetus, murder because it’s “her choice”. Very  typical response. But the real question is, is it murder? Of course it is. Now I’m not going to throw religion in this like most abortion bashers. Instead, I’m going to give you facts and allow you think about this while you’re driving home from work.

I saw a story on the news earlier this week that a pregnant woman was murdered by her husband. Anyway, her husband who committed this horrible crime is being charged with two counts of murder. This is not an unusual charge. That is the law. If you kill a pregnant woman, you will without a doubt, be charged with two lives, despite how old the fetus is. Some of you are probably wondering, “so what’s your point?” Thought you’d never ask. Cases like these sends the wrong message. It’s not murder for a mother to kill her fetus, but it’s murder if someone else does.

You’re probably still saying :it’s her choice” as you read this.

People make choices everyday. Doesn’t mean it’s right. There are some parents who choose to abuse their children. Does it mean it’s right? If a stranger walked up and slapped your 5-year old in the face in Walmart, that’s abuse, right? Now, if you slapped your 5-year old in the face, that’s abuse as well. Despite the fact that it was your choice to slap him/her. 

So if lawmakers truly believe that killing a fetus isn’t murder, why is it the law? It’s not like self-defense. Your life isn’t in any danger to just abort a baby, is it?  I could go on and on about this. But this is something I want you to think about.

I completely support the rights of the unborn child. It starts from conception and other people would say that it is only formed blood and it is not considered as a human being yet, well, that is so wrong. To think like that is to think like a sociopath with no feelings and emotions towards another. People who think like that are cruel and should not have the right to live their own life if they cannot give life to another. From the time that life started, it definitely has the rights the same as what rights we are practicing now as adults. The unborn child has the right to see the world and be able to receive all the necessary help that he can have, all the medical necessities and all the love that a mother and father could possibly give. The unborn child should be free from any threat of abortion which is a very sad reality that some pregnant women go through. This usually happens with teenage mothers who do not know what to do with their condition and to be able to be free from responsibility; they would rather take the life that is in their womb. I believe that the mothers who do not protect their children even their unborn should be punished, but I also believe that we should help them in any way for them to understand that the being inside them has a life of its own and should have the right to be live in the world.

Abortion is wrong. In many ways it is terrible and life-destroying. But under certain circumstances, it might just be the only way out. Lets say you are a 14 year old girl. You are soooo young and have hardly experienced much of the world. Your boyfriend is 16 and ready to become sexually active. You feel that you can’t say no or else you will look “uncool” or “immature.” One Friday night you feel ready and brave enough to have sex for the first time. Bing bam boom, 3 weeks later your period is a week late. You don’t hardly notice because that was 3 weeks ago. You’re menstrual cycle is new to you so it hasn’t exactly become regular yet. Time goes on and you start getting sick at random moments. A few weeks more and you notice that you are gaining weight. What could it be? That’s when it hits you. You beg you’re 16 year old boyfriend Johnny to buy you a pregnancy test since you can’t drive and get it yourself. He is very hesitant but goes ahead and purchases one for you anyways. You take two tests. Each of them showing up positive. Two days pass and you finally decide to inform Johnny about his baby. He freaks out and leaves you. NO 16 YEAR OLD BOY WANTS TO DEAL WITH THAT. So what do you do now? You have to tell your parents but you have such a huge life ahead of you. You weigh under 100 lbs and most likely will not survive during labor. You inform your parents. They are angry of course, but mostly shocked and confused. Where did they go wrong? You speak to them about abortion and they agree that it would be the best thing to do. If you were put into this situation would you abort or risk your own life?

If that didn’t get you to change your mind then lets talk about the rape situation. You are how ever old you want to be. We’ll just go with…. 18(female). You’re putting groceries into you’re car that your mother told you to pick up. Oblivious to what is going around you, you are suddenly pushed into the truck of you’re car and knocked out. You are laying there unconscious as someone drives you off to a private resort. When you awake you’re clothes are ripped up onto the ground near an old barn. You’re a mess with bruises and scratches from God knows what. You are aware of what just happened. You have no idea who the man may have been. Weeks pass and you notice right away when you miss your period. You have been waiting for this since the tragedy. You do not want to be stuck with a child who will bring back all of those terrible memories. About a month later you decide to abort. Do you agree with this decision now?

After reading through a couple of these scenarios I hope you realize that abortion sometimes IS the only way out. No, it is not right to kill a human being and if it is unborn, but sometimes there are exceptions. 

There have been fifty-six million abortions since 1973 and 1.6 million abortions occur each year. After 1973, one out of three pregnancies has ended in an abortion. About 95 percent of abortions are performed for birth control purposes and only 2-4 percent are performed for the mother`s health. Only 1-2 percent is performed for rape. From all of this information we can conclude that life is not viewed as highly as it used to be.

              In 1973, the Supreme Court ruled in Roe verses Wade. In this, a woman`s right to privacy overruled the right to regulate abortion. The Supreme Court refused to define when life began and said that if it were ever proven that a fetus had personhood, then the case for abortion would fall. They stopped using the term “alive” because there is overwhelming evidence that the fetus has life.

              The pro-choice side argues using Biblical references. They say that the Bible teaches that life begins at breath using Job 34:14-15, Genesis 2:7, and Isaiah 57:16. They also say that when Jesus said Judas should not have even been born in Matthew 26:24 that He meant Judas` life was a waste and he regretted creating him. But as a Christian I view these two points differently. Against the first statement I would say that scripture does not say life begins by breath with the exception of when God created Adam. The other references imply God`s breath and not man`s. It symbolizes God`s power of sustaining us. Against the second statement I would say that Jesus was not trying to make a scientific statement about when life begins. He was just pointing out that Judas is going to hell and He meant that it would be better for Judas not to have been born so he would not have to suffer the consequences. Also in the Jewish culture, it was wrong to talk about conception.

              There are other arguments for the fetus not being human. One of them says that a baby is not human until it has self-consciousness. This argument does not even make sense to me because we are self- conscious even when we are asleep so how do they know when a baby becomes aware of itself and starts to have mental capabilities? Another argument says that the baby is just an extension of the mother`s body because it is so physically dependent upon the mother. My argument against this is that the embryo is genetically and completely different from the mother.

              There are also Biblical arguments against abortion. In Psalms 139:13-15 it says that the unborn are intimately known by God and in Jeremiah 1:5 and Isaiah 49:1 it says that God calls the unborn for service. Additionally, it says that sinful nature is attributed to the unborn in Psalm 51:5 and Luke 1:13-15; 41-44. Babies are also viewed with human traits before they are born because Luke uses the word “baby” when it is both inside and outside of the womb.

              The pro-abortion view would say that we do not know when life begins, but there is overwhelming evidence that we know when life begins. Some major medical evidence against abortion is that at conception the embryo is different from the mother and father because 23 chromosomes from each parent forms the baby`s DNA. The sex of the child is determined at conception and there are countless biologists and doctors who have determined and established that life begins at conception. The definition of death is that a person has no pulse or heartbeat and no measureable brain wave activity in the brain. Also, when you look at the evidence that by the 18th day after conception, the baby`s heartbeat can be seen and within forty days of conception, there is measureable brain activity, how can a person doubt that the baby is indeed alive and not dead?

              If the fetus is not alive as some people say, then what is it? People cannot say the fetus is dead because it has a heartbeat and brain wave activity. Abortion has been declared wrong by many societies and moralists. The Code of Hammurabi, the Mosaic Law, the Persian Law, and the Oath of Hippocrates all declare abortion illegal. Also discrimination based on size, age, location, or functional ability is morally wrong and this should apply to abortion as well.

              I personally do not think abortion should ever be acceptable but there are two situations in which I would have a hard time saying yes or no to it. The first situation is when the mother`s life is truly at stake and the second one is birth control. For the first one, if the mother`s life is at stake because of the baby, you would have to decide to either let the mother or the baby live but not both. This is a very hard decision to make and I do not know what decision I would make. The second one also has different opinions but I disagree with using abortion as birth control.
