Being a writer, I write about what I know.

And I know about the new Shira Ruling that is ruled already in twenty-three states. Right here in America.

What the Shiria Ruling is is, going by the Islam law and abiding by their rules, meaning woman are allowed to be beaten by their husbands and are second class citizens.

Stoning is another practice that will take place in this country. Beatings for lame reasons will be allowed on the streets.

Twenty-three states are allowing these Arabs come into our country and have them push our American citizens around.

America puts out a lot but doesn’t put up enough. I mean putting up meaning to fight.

I am going to fight this crazy, ruling of Shiria. In fact anybody who reads this article should write a letter to the President Barak Obama about this crazy ruling and preventing from spreading through this whole country.

And this is going to sound crazy, crazy, Crazy, but I have half a mind to fly up to Washington DC and talk to Obama straight to his face about this overwhelming problem.

If enough people fight this growing problem we may see positive things done about Shiria.

There was a time when I didn’t want to read any somanabolic muscle maximizer reviews because I was depressed at how difficult it was to understand the words they used. I am here to tell you that even though it took a lot of time and effort, I can now read. My journey to learn how to read wasn’t an easy one, nor did I make it through without my scars. There were times when I wanted to throw down my books and just give up on everything, but I persevered, and so can you if you just give it the ol’ college try. Everything is possible, no matter what your reading level.

There are a lot of somanabolic muscle maximizer reviews out there that give you a pretty detailed look at what you can and can not expect from a fitness program made by Kyle Leon. If you find one that’s honest, it will probably tell you what a great deal it is, how good it is for your money, how you can build more muscle than you ever imagined in only nine weeks or less, how women will follow you like a Day of the Dead parade and then never leave no matter how much of a jerk you turn out to be, and how you will gain super powers just from looking at the box.

SPOILER Amazing Spider Man Plot Point Revealed

We recently got a look at The Amazing Spiderman foe the Lizard when the remote controls were released, but a few images of the Mega Bloks set “Oscorp Tower FX Battle” have been floating around that might confirm an old theory about the climax of the film.

The set has a Spidey character, a Lizard character, and a SWAT Lizard character, which seems to coincide pretty well with a claim made last year that Dr. Connors would transform a SWAT team into Lizard people.

The Amazing Spiderman is directed by Marc Webb and opens on July 3.

A moral view on the weight of war using the novel The Things They Carried.

When a person is asked whether or not they would be morally able to participate in a war, the most common response is “no, I would not be able to kill another human being”. However, the veterans of any war know that taking another’s life is not the most difficult part. The most challenging aspect of war is accepting the fact that one did all they could to prevent a fellow soldier’s death. More often than not, soldiers come home different men. They are less talkative, depressed, and unable to cope with common issues. While away from the war, the soldiers are unable to think of anything or anyone else except those who they saw die. In Tim O’Brien’s The Things They Carried, two Vietnam War veterans come home with these issues. Because they believe they could have saved the lives of some of their fellow deceased soldiers, Norman Bowker and Lieutenant Jimmy Cross return to their homes completely changed men.

Norman Bowker was never a really talkative person. He went into the war quiet and compassionate and came back the same. However, his encounters during the war did not change this attribute of his. Bowker had been with a close fellow soldier of his, Kiowa, in the “shit field” in Vietnam. When a young soldier turned on his flashlight to glance at a picture, a mortar attack struck the platoon. The men did what they could to evade the bombs. The fleet had kept every man but one, Kiowa. The soldiers combed the field, looking everywhere for Kiowa, when they finally saw his body. Norman Bowker stepped up to the body and pulled up, attempting to remove Kiowa from the deep muck. However, the smell prevented Bowker from accomplishing this task. No matter how hard he tried, he was unable to fight the foul odor of the field. Kiowa passed away in the field, and Bowker felt responsible. When he ventured home, Norman Bowker felt unable to continue where his life had left off. He drove around his town’s lake numerous times, trying to sort himself out. He then drives through his town planning on simply speaking with those he used to be close to, specifically his father. However, Bowker feels ashamed that he was unsuccessful in saving Kiowa. He senses that his father will think worse of him as he did not return home with the “Silver Star”, as his father had. After failing to save his fellow soldier, Kiowa, during the Vietnam War, Norman Bowker is unable to adjust back to his past daily life.

Lieutenant Jimmy Cross undergoes a similar predicament to Norman Bowker’s during the Vietnam War. Cross was quite unlike the figure that most people would expect from an officer during a war. He constantly daydreaming, thinking about his lifelong love, and wishing he was back home. However, though he was not a perfect representation of a soldier, Cross was changed mentally because of the war. Since he was the commanding officer of his platoon, Jimmy Cross was in charge of keeping all of his men safe. He did all he could to keep his soldiers protected however, while taking a bathroom break, Ted Lavender, was shot and killed. Jimmy Cross was devastated by this. He knew he was able to prevent this death, had he only been paying attention; one of his men was killed due to him daydreaming about his want-to-be girlfriend. Cross burns his pictures of Martha, his lover, in memory of Lavender. He never forgets this ordeal. He believed he had let himself love this woman more than he loved his fellow soldiers. Cross returns home and does not follow what he had planned to do, which was to marry Martha. The thoughts of his dead soldiers flood the Lieutenant’s head, preventing him from returning to his normal, peaceful state after the war.

After the Vietnam War, both Jimmy Cross and Norman Bowker change emotionally for the worse. The two are unable to cope with the knowledge that they might have been able to save one of their fellow soldier’s lives and help them when they needed it the most. Such is the case with most war veterans. The thought of killing other humans is nothing in comparison to that of losing a friend in the war. When asked if you would be able to go to and serve in a war, will decline and say that you could never be the one to take another’s life, or that you could never see a close friend die in front of your eyes?

As humans we do not like to be violated. We don't like our space, rights, actions, etc invaded or manipulated by others. While this is completely understandable, the Bible says there is a good and.....not-so-good way to react to being violated. I am about to get really transparent here....let me take a deep breath.......and here we go!!

I, E.S. “Taz” Bright, have a bad temper. When I say bad I mean quick, explosive, ignorant, punch holes in the bedroom door, yelling, screaming, cussin’, make-ya-feel-two-inches-tall, bad temper. When in this evil mode, I have the unfortunate ability to push a victim down a flight of stairs, listen to the sweet sound of his bones breaking and sleep really well later that night. The fact that your tendons have ruptured or torn is no reason for me to feel bad, it’s a freakin’ cause for celebration. (I’ve got the party hats) In this magnified state of anger, remorse is a foreign concept that makes no sense to me- it might as well be German for all I care. Yes, when judge Taz has listened to your pathetic attempt at pleading your case and has come to his final verdict, no amount of heart-felt pleading, earnest apology, tears or intense regret on your part really amounts to a hill of beans. Those who are close to me may see a light -hearted, laid back, funny, friendly guy and think, “There’s no way you’re that bad, Taz”. Folks, that is only because Christ is in control of my life. Without Him I would be a raving, ranting, destructive, vengeful, lunatic running around Houston bent on the destruction of anyone who has violated my space, my honor, my rules, my precepts or those I care about. I say all this about myself so you can fully understand how close to home the topic of this article really is. Also, if we are not willing to admit our weaknesses, we will never overcome them.

There is a pure, undeniable, evil, ignorance in a bad temper. Ecclesiastes 7: 9 tells us, “Do not be quickly provoked in your spirit, for anger resides in the lap of fools”. I love it when God doesn’t mince words, don’t you? He tells it to us straight up- “Hey you, with the anger issues, you’re a stupid, ignorant, unloving fool!” It’s kinda’ hard to argue with God- you always lose, always. There’s no getting around it, the Bible (and therefore God) says we are fools for letting anger get the best of us. As Christians we are to live at a higher, more mature level of existence with our fellow man. We are to show love to those who don’t deserve it. We are to be kind in situations that, according to the world, call for revenge, violence and getting even. Matthew5:16 encourages us to “let our light shine” so that the people around us may “see our good works and glorify our Father in heaven”. I’m pretty sure this means (among other things)

“Taz, keep your temper under control, act kindly in all situations- even when you feel violated- so that people will see your kind acrtions. When they see your control they’ll understand that it must be the God you serve that gives you such peace in those times they feel should bring anger and a vengeful heart. As a result they’ll glorify me, your Father and God”.

Imagine that….I keep my temper under control, people see it and then say to themselves, “How is it that Taz can be so calm?” As a result I get the opportunity to tell them about Christ and how He has given me peace that calms me in even the most difficult situations. Wouldn’t that be something? The ignorance of a temper would not accomplish this. Letting anger take over only results in others being hurt and to tell the truth, yes, I do feel bad…later…and I do eventually have to go back and apologize for my ignorance and any damage done to body or property. (I have a fondness for breaking things that belong to the one who has “violated” me) Of course, by this time I have already misrepresented Christ and His teachings. I have lost all credibility in the eyes of the one who I have just unleashed my wrath upon. How then do I start to speak to them of the Love of Christ? The answer is I don’t. I leave that to a better man/woman who has the control that I lack. That is my missed opportunity- my regret.

Another example of the ignorance that emanates from anger is the effect it has on the ones closest to me. My wife- the angel that she is- chose to marry me because….well actually I have no clue why….. but I am sure it was not because she wanted to deal with the hard-headedness of a man with a temper- far from it. So how are our significant others affected when we cross the line into the land of ignorant fools? According to the Bible “An angry person stirs up conflict and a furious man commits many sins”. Again, God’s pretty straight-forward with this one. All of us married or involved Christians who have a problem with anger need to remember that we are the cause of strife for our loved ones. The significant other is only gonna put up with so much of this strife in his/her life. Who wants to go home to anger and tension after eight hours of dealing with bosses, negative co-workers, not to mention constant gossip at the job? Sometimes a wife or husband may stay at work a little longer just to avoid coming home to intense anger problems. Ouch! Yeah, I said it- and I’ll repeat it for ya too- a wife or husband may stay at work a little longer just to avoid coming home to intense anger problems. I say this from experience. I have been that husband who doesn’t make an already difficult day any easier to deal with. I have been the unkind, selfish, angry man who can’t see past his issues to help his mate. But, if I want to hang onto this Godsend that is my wife I need to recognize the strife I am causing and turn over my issues to the only One who can fix it- God in Heaven, my loving, all-knowing, caring, wise Father. With His ability to see into the future he can whisper into my ear the exact words/phrases to say to my wife and actions I need to take in order to calm her, show her love and be the man she needs. Without his power in my life I’ll just remain that selfish person who may eventually be selfish all by himself!

As Christians we need to understand that we have “graduated” to a higher way of living. Ephesians 4:22 says: “You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires”

Did you get that? Your FORMER way of life was one of deceitful desires- this includes a quick, explosive, ignorant, punch holes in the bedroom door, yelling, screaming, cussin’, make-ya-feel-two-inches-tall, bad temper. Our significant others deserve the peace and tranquility that is a result of the life given to us by Christ. We need to step up to the plate and become that peace-loving, positive, uplifting part of their lives. A verse that echoes Ephesians 4:22 is Colossians 3:8 “But now you must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips”. God knew what He was doing when he put this verse together. Remember how I mentioned all the things that happen when I am in the middle of my anger fit? They are listed in this verse. God not only tells us to put off unrighteous anger, he also mentions the things that come as a result of it- rage, malice, slander, and filthy language. That is the Wisdom of God!

For those who may say, “My temper is just who I am. God made me this way”. LIAR, LIAR Pants on fire!! Noting evil can come from God- nothing! So this temper you try to blame on Him is actually your own creation. Be man or woman enough to admit it and move on!

Furthermore, considering the words of Philippians 4:13, we have no excuses for not achieving a Godly demeanor. In case you are not familiar with this verse it says, “I can do all things, through Christ who gives me strength”. (Yeah…all excuses go out the window once you are confronted with that one huh?)

So, to my fellow hot-tempered, short-fused, mad, ticked off, annoyed Christians- and to those of you who are not yet one of us but are looking for control over your rage- Christ must be the One we lean on in order to overcome this sinful disease that is the temper. We are poisoning our own wells if we continue on the path of wrath. Lean on Him and let Him fix the problem.

Sidenote: To the significant others of those of us with tempers. Give us time. We are not willingly this way. We are human and we know the problem. Pray for us- continually, be patient, remind us of the Bible verses we hold dear. With God’s guidance and your support, we WILL get better, we WILL grow past this sickening, hurtful sin!

An article that describes the indifference that most of the men and women have faced when they return home. It also describes the hardships that these brave men and women will possibly have to face. No man or women who have served our country should have to go homeless, and the point of this article is to inspire people to help.

Image via Wikipedia

While I have found my trip to LA to be great the one thing I did notice was the vast amount of homeless on the street. Talking with our unofficial tour guide I found that he used to care for a man who lost both of his legs in Korea. It saddens me to know that this man put his life on the line and lost both legs, yet was left to fend for himself here in the country he was defending.

I have done some research, because I have even notice myself that a great number of homeless people are veterans, I have discovered that this is very true. The National Coalition for Homeless Veterans say that “VA estimates that 107,000 veterans are homeless on any given night. Over the course of a year, approximately twice that many experience homelessness. Only eight percent of the general population can claim veteran status, but nearly one-fifth of the homeless population are veterans.” They also say, “The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) states the nation’s homeless veterans are predominantly male, with roughly five percent being female. The majority of them are single; come from urban areas; and suffer from mental illness, alcohol and/or substance abuse, or co-occurring disorders. About one-third of the adult homeless population are veterans.About 1.5 million other veterans, meanwhile, are considered at risk of homelessness due to poverty, lack of support networks, and dismal living conditions in overcrowded or substandard housing.” (1)

Also I read from USA Today that, “Veterans make up one in four homeless people in the United States, though they are only 11% of the general adult population, according to a report to be released Thursday. And homelessness is not just a problem among middle-age and elderly veterans. Younger veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan are trickling into shelters and soup kitchens seeking services, treatment or help with finding a job.The Veterans Affairs Department has identified 1,500 homeless veterans from the current wars and says 400 of them have participated in its programs specifically targeting homelessness. The National Alliance to End Homelessness, a public education non-profit, based the findings of its report on numbers from Veterans Affairs and the Census Bureau. 2005 data estimated that 194,254 homeless people out of 744,313 on any given night were veterans. In comparison, the VA says that 20 years ago, the estimated number of veterans who were homeless on any given night was 250,000.” (2)

Last the National Coalition the Homeless even has input on this subject saying that, “Far too many veterans are homeless in America—between 130,000 and 200,000 on any given night—representing between one fourth and one-fifth of all homeless people. Three times that many veterans are struggling with excessive rent burdens and thus at increased risk of homelessness.
Further, there is concern about the future. Women veterans and those with disabilities including post traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injury are more likely to become homeless, and a higher percentage of veterans returning from the current conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq have these characteristics. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs estimates that 131,000 veterans are homeless on any given night. And approximately twice that many experience homelessness over the course of a year. Conservatively, one out of every three homeless men who is sleeping in a doorway, alley or box in our cities and rural communities has put on a uniform and served this country.” (3)

So now I find myself asking, why is it that so many men and women who served our country so bravely laying in the streets. Chances are that just about everyone knows someone who has served in the arm forces, or is currently serving. These people are sons, daughters, mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents as well, and chances are that one of these people you know will be homeless sleeping in a box on the street. They are not only are family and friends, but the protectors and defenders to everything we hold dear, SO why are we letting this tragedy happen right before our very eyes? We walk right past someone almost everyday who has put their life on the line for our country, and most act as though they are not even there.

I feel we should all ask our selves where would this country be if these men and women didn’t put their life on the line for our freedom. And I find myself to a very simple answer, “What freedom?” because without these veterans risking everything we would not have freedom. So maybe we should consider this the next time we pass one of them laying on the street homeless. Maybe we should start to do more to help them, because without them we might not even be here. And if we do not start to help them that will be our fate as a country, and then what will the real tragedy be then?

There is no wonder that making and breaking or having some sorts of misunderstandings in a relationship is a part of everybody’s life. Everybody of us has difference in opinions and beliefs but this should not be a basis of separation or permanently breaking apart a relation. Seeing at the positive angle of a fight, argument or a misunderstanding is actually a chance to understand one another in a better way. This also indicates that something is lacking from one or either side. Take a little while before immediately rushing towards the final decision and think about the reasons of this fight, argument or misunderstanding and try to find solutions to mend or reconstruct that lacking.

Learn to look at the relationship issues not only always from one angle but also from different angles. You will get a better insight of the issues and would be able to resolve them in a much better way. Getting to the reason of fight is the first step towards the reconstruction of a relationship. Diagnosing the real cause of a bend in a relationship and looking at the various perspectives of the both parties, is really important for reaching to the best solution. Those couples who are sensible enough to find out the root of the problem are normally speak up and also manage to understand the perspective of the other person.

Such type of approach requires sympathetic consideration on another’s points of views. These people are sensible enough that they learn from their fights and do their best avoiding them in future. However, acknowledging the reason is one of the most important parts in the reconstruction of a broken relationship. Understanding each other’s feeling is the beauty in a healthy relationship. It includes the things that were right in the relationship and while considering what went wrong, it is important to understand the feelings of both the parties. Once you become conscious enough to start recognizing the reason for the misunderstanding, you will also be able to understand the expectations of both the parties that they need to fulfill for future betterment.

Another aspect to consider in the process of reconstruction is the agreements and decisions that have been taken by both sides. Not only considering but also honoring their decisions and agreements is also equally important.

Avoid making half promises. Promises are meant to be honored and kept at all costs. Once you have reached to the agreements and decisions, sticking by them are equally important from both sides. By keeping the same values, you will find it quite easy maintaining a healthy relationship in future.

One of the major tips in the reconstruction of the relationship process is not using sex as the basis of reconstruction process. Since it could form a habit and you could start seeing it as a solution after every fight that could have psychological effects. Though sex has the potential of increasing intimacy in your broken relationships but it could not minimizes the risk of future fights. Therefore, it is important to have communication going for creating better understanding and mental harmony between two parties. This type of approach not only minimizes the risk of future disagreements but also be fruitful in the long run.

As you know slowly and steady wins the race, hence it is essential taking step-by-step approach in the reconstruction of the relationship. If there is still a little chance or glow present in the relationship, it is essential to cool mindedly examine various aspects of the relationship and should work for regaining the trust and love that was present before. Don’t expect results suddenly, it requires a lot of communication and time for one or both the parties figuring out their weaknesses and then overcoming them. By doing so both will be able to achieve better perspective and at length succeed maintaining a healthy relationship. Disagreements and quarrels are not as bad as thought, but virtually they gives us chance to make our relationships even better than before.

Article about the recent fight of couple Russell Brand and singer Katy Perry during Christmas of 2011.

Singer Katy Perry and Actor Russell Brand spent their Christmas apart.

According to US Magazine, the couple were seen separately on different locations during Christmas, December 25, thousands of miles apart. Russell Brand was spotted in a pub in Coverack, Cornwall while the California Girls Singer Katy Perry flaunted her awesome body in Hawaii. Both are photographed with friends, Katy Perry not wearing her wedding ring.

Rumors were spreading about the couple’s frequent fight, and the couple continuously denying them saying that the marriage was still okay. However, sources told that the fight became even worse. This came up because of the issue that Katy thought that Russell was not respecting her family’s Christian beliefs.

According to the University of Michigan Health System, an average American child will see 200,000 violent acts and 16,000 murders on TV by age 18. Most argue that children being raised in today’s society are vulnerable to the influence of violence through television and radio. Many studies have shown that children who watch violent programming will show aggressive behavior immediately after viewing. My sincere wonder is if it’s a causation of the television or simply a correlation as to what triggers our aggression already wired into our natural genetics?

My parents were fans of “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation”, the prime time sitcom that launched dozens of crime related series, from its start in 2000. It was typical for my family to sit around the tube watching “CSI” together. Even earlier than that, I would watch such shows as “ER” which has a fair amount of aggressive content and traumatic material. From birth I had watched “Day of Our Lives” and other soap operas with my mom in which are loaded with violence, aggression, deceit, passion and mostly, pure insanity and confusion! The largest source of my witness to violent behavior was found on the nightly news.

Having watched forms of violence on television throughout my childhood, you would suspect that I’d fall into the category of children who were destructed by violence on television. However, such programming has not affected my aggression. I’m in the same mood at the end of a horror flick as I am at the beginning. The same goes for my family as well. We are all aggressive in our own way, but it isn’t caused by television. It is my belief that aggression is genetically encoded into our being.

Violence on television was mirrored by man. It isn’t just some wild idea someone had. Most horror films are adaptations of news stories from infamous serial killers such as Ted Bundy, Jack the Ripper and the most mimicked being Ed Gein, whose heinous crimes were inspiration for horror flicks such as “Texas Chainsaw Massacre”, “Psycho” and “Silence of the Lambs”. Death, murder and violence are not the corrupt images of filmmakers that were imagined and brought to life through film. Throughout history, from the beginning of our history, violence has been a glorified means of justification, self-worth, survival, defense and used as an attempt to control the surrounding world outside of ourselves.

Aggressive people and acts of violence have been around centuries longer than television. Caesar’s campaigns, Vlad the Impaler, numerous wars and battles, the Aztec human sacrifices, the rise and fall of the Roman Empire and the Salem Witch Trials are all depictions of incredible violence. Humans have forever been the source of violence for reasons ranging from personal or religious beliefs to greed and prosperity and survival.

For a more modern day example, we can take a look at the Yanomami Indians. The Yanomami Indians are an indigenous tribe currently living in the Amazon. If a husband does not beat his wife and she does not bare enough bruises and scars, she believes her husband does not love her. The men will also travel to neighboring villages to scare away or kill men of another tribe, brutally murder the infants and small children and take the captured young females back as secondary wives to use for child bearing. Not having been exposed to the media’s depiction of violence, they should, by studies claim, be the most passive and peaceful people, yet they are not. As horrific as violence among the Yanomami tribes may be, it’s used as a means of not only survival, but the continuance of their tribe.

Television isn’t the first form of violence we have been exposed to, nor is it the only form that has been labeled as cause for violence. Reading materials, video games and music have all been a said cause for violence also. In all actuality, if you really want to get down to the very first widespread exposure to violence it would be found in what many people find peace in. It was in 1456 that Gutenberg printed the very first book and the first form of media, by definition, was produced and distributed. This book was the Bible. The stories of Cain and Abel, Abram and Sarai, Moses, the Pharaoh and yes, even God himself, all tell the tale of committing acts of malevolent violence.

I do agree that being subjected to violence, whether it be televised, heard, read or witnessed in reality is correlated to trigger aggression, but I do not agree that media is a direct causation. Aggression is a natural part of who we are. Violence has been prevalent throughout history, passed down from generation to generation. I also believe that desensitization is the result of the evolution of the brain. Living in a world where violence has always and will forever surround us it only makes sense that our brains develop a way to protect itself from harm. Could you imagine what a fear stricken useless species we would be without developing a way to cope with tragedy? If we feared everything we’ve been subjected to the human species would have gone extinct as the result of becoming easy prey for other predators.
