Tips for guys on preparing a date for Valentine's Day that will surely be memorable for their special someone.

Valentine’s Day is tomorrow and many women are surely excited about this event. Sadly, most of the guys manage to celebrate this special day by exerting a little amount of effort for their significant other. This article will help guys how to prepare or set-up a memorable Valentine date that their women will never forget.

First step of preparation is fixing yourself. Try cleaning up a bit extra before the night. You can buy a new shirt if you like or something that you do not wear on an ordinary day. This will give the impression that you treating this day special for her.

Before picking her up, stopping by to buy flowers is also a great idea. A dozen of roses are the most usual but you can try other kinds, but the best would be to know what type of flower/s your girl like.

Exerting extra efforts like popping a breath mint will also not hurt, a women pay attention to these little details and she will surely love it once she smell the mint. If you have a car to pick her up, be a gentleman and open the door for her, give her a kiss and hand her the flowers, whichever comes first, it’s all up to you.

If you are eating in a restaurant, make sure you have made reservation at least a week before the date so that you will have a sure table when you come. Choose a restaurant that is not loud and crowded, so you can hear each other better. Choose also a place with low-light ambiance because that is where women feel most attractive in, like a candle-lit environment.

Be extra attentive with her during your meal, ask her how she thinks about the food, if her wine glass is filled, and give compliments to her once in a while. Just give focus on her, this will make her feel so special and would be excited to tell her friends about.

After your meal and asking for the bill, ask her first how she feels about the night, then head to anywhere you want to spend the rest of your date with.

A classic defense of cultural difference.

Differing attitudes toward various factors of human relationships cause communication problems. It possibly causes more miscommunications than in body positions and movements. The views and practices of cultural differences among various factors of human relationships for illustrative purposes depend upon the following factors. It mainly depends upon five major factors: time, space, odors, and frankness.

Time: In our culture (French) time must be planned and synchronized for better and ultimate use. Punctuality, meeting of the deadlines, business conduct smoothly within specific time limits and working all these with a complete schedule is always consider as the need of the hour. In some other cultures (especially in Middle East) people se the time in more and more relaxed way. They do not empathize on planning, meeting of schedules instead they reach the meeting late, and important people should be late in the meting as it shows their importance. In business conversations people in thee countries go slower pace, start the casual talk before getting into the main cause. So, there are two views of time and when both the persons from these regions meet then there ought to be mis- communication among them. So, views about time differ widely in some cultures stress punctuality and in some cultures it does not.

Space: Space is viewed differently by different cultures, inn some cultures people want to be far apart, in other cultures they want to be close. North Americans tend to prefer about two feet or so distance between themselves and those with whom they speak. In Arabian and South American cultures people stand close to each other and not following this practice is considered impolite and bad etiquette! North Americans view the personal space is the right and tend ton respect the right o the others. Thus they wait and waiting for their turn. People from some other countries jostle for the space in trains and other ques. In encounters among those people whose cultures have such vast differences towwards actions and spaces, and all these likely to be misrepresented.

Odors:

Some cultures view body odors as bad and some cultures view them as normal. Americans view the body odors as bad and work hard to neutralize body odors and cover them up. But in some Asian cultures body odors not be hidden but as something friends should experience. It is the “breathe the breath” and thus feel their presence by smelling. So, clearly en counters between these two cultures in any business communications lead to serious mis communication.

Frankness:

High context cultures are more frank and explicit than low context cultures. North Americans are frank, explicit in their relationships, blunt, and sharp in doing so. Asians tend to be far more reticent and implicit. Americans give more background information where as with Asians it is vice versa. The Asians may appear evasive, roundabout and indecisive to North Americans in a business communication but this is not true. North Americans may appear harsh n aggressive and impolite to Asians but this is also not true.

With telephonic customs in a business communications Chinese may tend to stop the phone abruptly after their purpose ahs been completed on the other hand Americans tend to move on to friendly talk and clearly prepare the listener for the end of the call.

A classic defense of cultural difference:

The classic “ugly American” was travelling far away land. He had been marked by a tendency to find and call attention to errors and flaws what he has been experienced – the foods, hotels and the customs in general. One day he came upon a ceremony at which a dead person is buried or cremated. And felt it there “What a stupid practice!” he uttered aloud with surprise, horror and joy to his native host. “Do your people actually think that the dead person will eat the food?”” At this point the host had taken all the rude expression intended to offend or hurt he could handle for one day. So he reacts verbally” Our dead will eat the food as soon as your dead smell the flowers you place on their graves”

For those who don't like going out for Valentine's Day and are on a budget, here a few suggestions for spending less money but more meaningful time with those you care about.

By Joan Whetzel

Valentine’s Day is upon us. Time to pull out all the stops for a romantic day. A little romance now and again does a relationship good. For those relationships that aren’t romantic in nature, Valentine’s Day can become a day for letting the other what they mean to us, by giving them a bit of a treat.

For Your Significant Other

Valentine’s Day treats for significant others don’t need to cost a fortune. They just need to mean something to the both of you. Ideas for this could include getting a baby sitter for the kids and having a romantic evening at home. By the way, it doesn’t have to occur on the official day. Why not plan it for the weekend since Valentine’s lands on a weekday? That way they can spend Saturday night at someone else’s house.

The romantic dinner should include a dinner that both of you enjoy preparing and eating together like steak, baked potatoes and a salad or lobster, steamed veggies and dinner rolls and maybe some chocolate covered strawberries for dessert. Or order out your favorite meal and serve it up on the good china, by candlelight, with a fire in the fireplace. The point is, you don’t have to spend a fortune going out and you don’t have to stand in long lines at a restaurant, waiting for an hour or more to get a table, to wait for up to an hour to get your food. There’s nothing romantic about waiting, and waiting, and waiting.

After dinner, share a romantic bubble bath by candle light with soft music. Then cuddle into bed or back in front of the fireplace with your favorite romantic movies.

For Friends and Loved Ones

For people other than your significant other, sometimes a small token is the best. It could be a single rose (their favorite color), a small box of Godiva chocolate, taking them to lunch at a restaurant you both like, or simply a picnic together. Valentine’s Day shouldn’t be about how much money you spend. (Yeah, I know I’m ticking off the advertisers and the people who stand to make a lot of money off the holiday.) Just let the other person know you care about them in whatever fashion suits you. At the very least, pick up the phone and let them know. Or drop them a handwritten note in the snail mail. We’re not talking long drawn out love letters, just a nice little note. In this e-mail driven society, it’s kind of nice to get a hand written note or letter from time to time. Nobody takes the time to write letters by hand anymore, so to receive one is a real treat in my book.

Whatever you do, have a lovely Valentine’s Day. Share it with those who mean something to you in whatever way makes you both feel treated.

While you are in the dating process.. NEVER have sex. That is not in my opinion a part of

the dating process. You are just getting to know that person. If you find that you are

sexually attracted to that person. Make sure you have more in common than just that.

Possibly making your relationship a non sexual in the dating process may help your

relationship at first. Saving yourselves for the honeymoon. Where you both find

yourselves where you can bear to live without the other person. You think of them

all the time. Because if you the both of you can’t communicate or be good listeners or etc

the marriage won’t last.

On the day of Valentines day.. start by treating your honey (husband or wife) to a breakfast

a different type of breakfast.. if you both choice to make love before it. so be it.

Or you both want to make love in other room or if you have a covered patio or back yard..

then make love there. Just remember you can’t make any satisfactional sounds of pleaser

beings you may not be the only ones out side.

If you decide to make love in a restaurant make sure no one is looking at you possibly and go

to either sex bathroom and make love in one of the bathroom stalls. Being quiet when you do.

Then celebrate that moment by presenting that person with a/’s heart warming gift/’s.

You will probably want to eat after that.

Then whip out the list your honey made and ask them. And, give them a choices on what they

want to do. If you are a (husband) as your wife tells you grab the flowers and hand them

to her. Prearrange a romantic forplay appetizer to come to the table with flowers on the

tray. And, both of your favorite song in the background.

Bringing a camcorder with you to capture every moment.

Suggestions:

roses,

flowers,

an outfit prearranged for that special place..

a valentines list

a book, video, audio, etc on the many ways to making love memorable (married couples)

Valentines card

lingerie (skimpier the better) (married couples)

a “very” romantic room

Valentine’s day food

Valentines day make love food (married couples)

Valentines day gifts.. (wish list)

When you make love (married couple) reassuring your husband or wife how can you

please that person. Possibly talk sexually dirty. Yell in satisfaction out loud.

Move around where ever you are. Carefully spank them. Calling there name as you

make love to them. Complimenting them as you are making love to them. By saying

you are awesome. Always kissing them and etc.

ALso, keep in mind you can also treat your mom, dad or etc to a Valentine’s day event

as well. Showing them how important they are to you. It can also be a friend, Uncle

The best idea to do for your girlfriend.

I’m sure as many of you know Valentines Day is ONCE again, coming around. Most men out there have no idea how to handle this, so this is for you! If your a man with little to no creativity as to what to get your woman for her special overrated holiday, more is never looked down upon. If you want to do it right, do it all. The clique things are but of course..

Flowers

Chocolate

Jewelry

Dinner

Movie

Stuffed Animal

V-Day Card

Balloons

So! Starting from 1-to8.. DO THEM ALL. My suggestion is to start at her house, leave her a morning suprise involving a Large stuffed animal propped up with a card in his hands, a box of chocolate in his arm, jewelry box placed next to his leg, balloons tied from his ears.. Call her to let her know it has arrived. Once she has obtained everything, call her back and inform her of Dinner and a movie that night. When you come to pick her up.. BRING FLOWERS. You are guarenteed to get some that night. You never missed a beat and you’ll never be “that boyfriend” that she forever refers to with her friends that never gave her anything. This is random, I know.

The day is celebrated on 14th of February every year since ancient time. Earlier lovers expressed their feelings via presenting flowers. Among the latter, roses were thought of as symbol of love.

Valentine’s day is celebrated among youngsters as well as elderly people. This is an important date in their lives as the day is commemorated as Love Day. Love is between any two or every two. How wonderful is the feeling of being taken care of by someone and so is to take care of someone very special in life. This day, all near and dear ones splurge time with each other and express their feelings.

It is believed that the name is given on the name of one or more old saints named Saint Valentine. The day is celebrated on 14th of February every year since ancient time. Earlier lovers expressed their feelings via presenting flowers. Among the latter, roses were thought of as symbol of love. As the time passed the customs began to change and they moved on to sending love messages with help of greeting cards.

In Middle Ages greeting cards, roses and gifts were in fashion. Varieties of roses and that too of different colors like red, pink, yellow or white were the most special sign of love. If someone presented a rose to anyone then it was considered that the person was in love with the other one. Red roses were for love, pink roses were to take initiative of love where yellow roses were for love between friends and white roses implied the love for everyone.

Greeting cards or Valentine’s day were another means of articulating feelings. People wrote their thoughts on pieces of paper. From mini size to grand huge size valentine’s card, all were in trend.

Then began the custom of presenting gifts to the beloved people which is continued till this modern era. Numerous valentines day gifts were then and now presented to the persons who are very special and much beloved. Lovely gifts for valentine’s day sheer unspoken lexis and directly indicate the sentiment of affection. Valentine’s bequests include chocolates, heart-shaped candles, candies, soft toys and so on. These charming lifeless stuffs do great jobs in exchanging the emotions between the two.

As the time changed the customs and beliefs took new facets. Heart shape and flying cupids are now added as the symbols of love along with roses. People think that Valentines day is the best date to propose anyone whom they like to be their partner. Some people even think that the date is auspicious for marriage like events to take place. Apart from the lovers, V-day event also takes place between parents and children; brothers and sisters; and even between teachers and students. In this time of love and affection how can one forget grandparents. Yes, even elderly grandparents are part of this event now.

Best gifts for valentines day. Here are some ways to celebrate Valentine's Day a bit more romantically and creatively.

One of the least romantic days of the year is Valentine’s Day. Yes you heard me correctly. The majority of men act like robots, purchasing flowers and chocolate for their sweethearts because that is what everyone else is doing. Many people celebrate the day out of obligation rather than celebration.

No.1 Picture & frame

Here’s a good way to immortalize your love: give her a portrait of the happy couple in a high-quality cube frame. You can blow up that great set of pictures of the two of you or hire a professional photographer to do the job.

No.2 Chocolate

Show her how much you care by giving her the closest thing to sex (at least that’s what women claim). If you came here in search of the perfect gift, she likely deserves it.

No.3 Flowers

These are classics that work like magic if you put a little extra effort into the deed (read: don’t get her a single rose wrapped in gift paper). Talk to your florist about an intricate arrangement: each flower signifies something else, like romance, loyalty or purity, so pick the ones that match your woman most.

No.4 A special date

There’s no going wrong here. Take your woman out on a romantic date. It can be lunch, brunch or dinner, depending on what day Valentine’s falls on. Or you can recreate your first date and relive the thrill of the honeymoon phase. Spare no expense here.

No.5 Sex toys

Make it a great night for the two of you by hitting the local sex shop. Sex toy manufacturers are getting more creative each year, and there’s no end to the variety of bedroom accessories you can find, from board games and body paint to flavored massage oils.

It is true that teenage girls love receiving candy hearts and cute stuffed animals on Valentine's Day. Grown women usually want something other than the over-commercialized candy in heart boxes and vases of cut flowers that are prolific in every store during February. She probably won't tell you so here's a heads-up.

It is that time of year again. You’re starting to stress because you have to make a decision that can make or break you. The stores have stocked the aisles with chocolate candy in pretty red boxes and teddy bears dressed in lace and ribbons. There are rows of cut flowers in vases and the jewelry stores have hired extra temporary staff. There is the feeling of expectation in the air.

This Valentine’s Day, you can either score a homerun, or a trip to the doghouse. Grief can usually be avoided though quite easily.

Why not do something out of the ordinary? Jewelry, chocolates and flowers are usually appreciated but you can do better! Put some thought into it and take the initiative. Women love it when their man surprises them with something that demonstrates how much he values her.

There are so many possibilities these days with the help of the internet. Reservations can be easily made. Theater tickets can be bought. Even weekend flights can be browsed and there are great deals to be had for weekend getaways.

Another great Valentine’s gift that is sure to be appreciated would be a gift certificate for a pedicure, manicure or massage, unless you are a gifted masseur yourself which might save you some money. Make reservations for dinner or cook dinner for her yourself, providing you are accustomed to cooking. Gourmet coffee or tea makes a great gift if it is something she enjoys. If you know what she likes, your job is easier but if not, pay attention now. Take her for a stroll in the mall and listen to what she says and what she has an affinity for.

If money is a problem, there are still low cost romantic options. Picnics can be a lot of fun if it isn’t too much work. Fly a kite together! Some ladies love to go dancing, others love to go bowling. You can take her on an old fashioned date to a movie but make sure the genre appeals to you both. Check the internet for local events in or near your area. Amusement parks, museums, art galleries or a sight seeing trip are all possiblities. Rent bicycles if the weather is nice. It is possible to have an enjoyable day on a budget. Your lady will very likely appreciate the effort you make.

Valentine’s Day can be drama free with some thought and preparation. With a little imagination, a good time can be had by all and some wonderful memories can be made.

No explanation, no call, no goodbye: this does not seem to be what love looks like.

Silence could mean the relationship has snapped or is over, and the only part of the story worth remembering is that he is gone.

With all those modern gadgets — cell phones, speed dials, e-mails, search engines, websites, Facebook, and similar stuffs, it’s impossible not to have a word from him. If a guy really wants to be with you or would want to talk to you (if only because he thinks his voice is glorious to you), he will find a way to connect : no alibis.

An alibi is worse than no alibi; it makes the fault worse than the alibi. Alibis are forms of deceit. Deception is deception in any language. There is no justification for it; it just does not happen. On the other hand an alibi could be a form of polite rejection or polite evasion. Either way it hurts, definitely not in the job description of true love. If you have lost him to someone else, remember that no man is stolen or allows himself to be stolen. Nagging him would only give him a chance to say NO louder—- to inflict the wound deeper. It’s like beating yourself, digging the hole deeper for your grave. It’s painful to be left licking his chops. Unfair.

Missing someone is a sign of a healthy relationship. If he likes or loves you enough he won’t forget how nice you are. Ever. He promised to call or come but didn’t, making you appear like a creep. All right, he did call but told you that he had an insanely busy day. That’s a load of crap. You should be after a guy who’s good as his word. To waste time with a guy who’s not serious is to waste time and feeling— feeling stupid. “There’s no cure for stupid.” Time enough to sniff the bad news: he’s just not interested. A guy who wants a woman to be part of his life will work for it.

While those omniscient books advice patience and understanding, this time it should not be the case. Listen to the knell of parting. Assume rejection no matter how much he is worth dying for. Being dumped or taken for granted is an insult. He makes you feel so unattractive and meaningless. Why should you feel needy and obsessed and allow yourself to be stepped on like a doormat?

Don’t allow the fall-off to rattle your world. Cut him off. Get on the saddle again. Don’t ever give him the chance to ever reject you again. You are simply fabulous in your own way. Out there is a guy who can’t wait to love you. Find him, keep moving. Look no farther than your own happiness. ###

“What can be said in New Year rhymes,
That’s not been said a thousand times?
The new years come, the old years go,
We know we dream, we dream we know.
We rise up laughing with the light,
We lie down weeping with the night.
We hug the world until it stings,
We curse it then and sigh for wings.
We live, we love, we woo, we wed,
We wreathe our prides, we sheet our dead.
We laugh, we weep, we hope, we fear,
And that’s the burden of a year.”
