They say, when one decides to compromise, they betray principals, and honor. Republicans cave to media bashes, and more principles fall to the wayside.

John Andrew Boehner is the 61st, and current Speaker of the United States House of Representatives. He is supposed to lead on principles and side with the public, instead he bows to the bower, Obama. The republicans refuse to understand what the people want. A spending cut, is not spending less, it means no spending . They need to understand that we the people who live within a budget, means we manage with what we have to spend. This does not mean we allow more in the budget so we can meet what we wish to spend, the money is not there.

The old school republicans have been playing their little games so long, they cannot see the truth or justice, they just keep rolling along. The democrats openly admit, they love to spend, and the Republicans seem to say, they are against it, until they compromise on just how much to spend. They cannot see that spending is spending, little or a lot, you just can’t spell it any other way.

Their are a few new republicans in the mix trying to do the right thing, but not enough. We need to vote out the old, and hire some new thinkers who are actually on the side of the people. The old out numbers the new so republicans have some work to do in replacing the rusty old cave dwellers.. This wont be easy since the left are comfortable with compromise, because they use the old bait and switch, ask for more, and get what they planned on in the first place.

The left call the Tea Party Movement, fake, and not a threat, while they call the Wall Street movement grass roots which should say it all. Tea Party members speak out peacefully, while Wall Street squatters are destructive, freeloaders, and yet, one side stands on principles while the other want their hand outs and more. In November, we will see a new President, a new congress, and the old America we all know and love. If that does not happen, then we may as well become a part of the United Kingdom which makes what our forefathers did in 1776 a mute point.

America, no, Americans will not compromise freedom for games politicians play. Americans , many Americans see the rhetoric, and havoc being placed on society by a President who has no plan. Americans who love freedom will never stand for the demise of a country founded on principles. We are the home of the free, and will never see America turning into the home of the free stuff.

We must be ever vigilant in our choice at the polls. We do have power and we must use it diligently. Each of us has a responsibility to use our awesome power to the best of our ability. Our differences can be our strength.

I don’t want my vote going to people who run for office that have made their way up the ladder by taking, taking and wanting more. I would rather vote for good leadership and honest representation from a politician that has given, given and wants to give more. What was wrong with the little, white frame house in Springfield Illinois where Abe Lincoln lived? It was big enough for him; it should be big enough for any of today’s leaders.

I look at those who run for office and see who and what they really represent. Some look out for their friends and those with power and those who can give back in return. Many politicians have personal and business connections with big money. Who do you think has their ear after they are elected? I am tired of the attitude; you want a bridge to nowhere? We can do that. You want to drill oil in the Indian’s back yard? We can do that too. You want to have more smoke stacks? We can do that, it might cost you more? Politics and political history being what it is, we will always have some influence peddling, some negotiations of give and take with representation with local and business leaning, but we accept that when justice and equality are also present. We must get the personal agendas and hidden graft out of our bills and riders which has gone too far in recent politics. We have a divided nation and a divided congress.

We live in the greatest country in the world, not because of those who have led us over the past thirty years, but because of our founding principles, our constitution, the rule of law spiced with consideration, trust, fairness, decency, family, and for the good of all, by a government established for the people (not just the rich and powerful) by the people, (farmers, hunters and workers) and of the people, (not just those with influential connections.) We need leaders who have made jobs for people and not destroyed them. We need leaders who work to protect our American way of life.

When I look at any politician running for office, I look at his family, his work history, his past offerings and what he has accomplished as a citizen and not as a tyrant in either business or politics. I look for a person who understands me and what I have to go through to make my way through life. I want leaders that look at the bottom ninety percent of the citizenry first and the top ten percent second. It goes without saying that government support of the top ten percent often is passed down to the bottom ninety percent.

I don’t vote for a person because of how much tax he pays, how big his house is or how many cars he has. I don’t care if he has one vacation home or five, that might be an indication of how hard he works and what he can offer in the future. I want to know what he has done for America, you and me.

Rather, I would want to see how a politician made his money to buy his vacation homes, fill his political war chest, etc. There must be a reason why big business will give millions and millions to campaigns to get a certain person in office, a selfish reason I would judge. How can the ten dollars from a widow or a disabled vet compete with that? I don’t begrudge big business, we need them, we need more of them, but I like to see the businessman that sells his vacation home during a slow down or economic depression so that his workers won’t be laid off. Yes, we have business owners that do that. I would rather see a businessman pay his idle workers and help them find other jobs until business picks up again. I like the business that offers health insurance, tuition aid and family counseling and a host of other things instead of using company money to attract influential friends, lobbyists, and to offer huge sums to campaign blocks. And just as I like the business that takes care of the worker, I like the politician that uses his efforts for all the people. Why in the world would a business dealing with the government want a certain politician in office anyway? Isn’t that overpowering the small voter? Campaigns should be run on merit instead of money. Does it take money and advertising at the rate we see today to put an honest and dedicated man into office? We should elect our leaders by a more reliable method such as past experience and dedication to the American way of life, not just for a few Americans, but for all Americans. It is my humble opinion that our early founders believed in a power greater than eternity itself, I can respect that and really appreciate a leader who feels that he is not that power, but yields to a force greater than any one of us. We should have the right to believe the way we want to and that includes those who believe differently than I do. Each individual must council his own mind.

Deciding who will run your government should not be taken casually, but with great passion. The leader(s) you vote for should not be a cut and dried decision because of the party our grandparents voted for. But we should choose on the merits of the party and that of those who will lead that party today. Party principles are very important, and leaders of both parties have been proven to be good for America. We can only hope that America has informed, rational, and interested voters who understands that money and advertising is trying to buy the American way of life. Party politics must be considered in our decision making process. We have such an impasse when our represented leaders stand in the way of progress just to make the other party look bad. Winning an argument is not worth destroying our government.

Dr Robert E McGinnis – Author for over thrity years.Open the door to your mind.

Throughout my voting history I have voted equally as much for one party as I have the other. My voting history is a split ticket from the top to the bottom. I do my best to vote for the cause and not the glamor, for the man and not the promise. Think about it, who does your candidate really represent?

Malcolm X (1925–1965), African American radical activist.

Malcolm X (1925–1965), African American radical activist. Malcolm Little was born on May 19, 1925, the son of Louise and Earl Little of Omaha, Nebraska. Louise Little was a mulatto born in Grenada in the British West Indies, and Earl Little, a six-foot, very dark man from Reynolds, Ga., was a Baptist minister and organizer for Marcus Garvey’s Universal Negro Improvement Association. Louise, his second wife, bore six children: Wildred, Hilda, Philbert, Malcolm, Yvonne, and Reginald. Earl Little also had three children by a first wife: Ella, Earl, and Mary. Little had migrated with his family from Philadelphia to the Midwest, first to Milwaukee, then Omaha, and finally to East Lansing, Mich.

Image via Wikipedia

In 1929 the family house was burned down, allegedly by the Black Legion Society, a white supremacist group. After Earl Little died in 1931 in a streetcar accident, Malcolm’s mother raised the children as best she could, but she eventually had a mental breakdown and entered an insane asylum. The siblings were dispersed to other families. Malcolm lived with a foster family before moving to Roxbury, Mass., in 1941 to live with a half sister, Ella Collins.

A few months after his arrival in Roxbury, a predominantly black section of Boston, Malcolm dropped out of school (having completed eighth grade) and took a job as a shoeshine boy at the Roseland Ballroom in Boston’s Back Bay section. A career as a hustler seemed a more tempting option, and he was soon peddling narcotics. Roxbury proved to be too small for him, and in 1942 he took a job as a railroad dining-car porter, working out of Roxbury and Harlem. Settling in Harlem, he became involved in criminal activities (robbery, prostitution, and narcotics).

Malcolm soon learned to survive in hustler society, which was composed of fleeting social arrangements constantly threatened by internal wars that rendered every man potentially every other man’s enemy. He lived up to his nickname—”Red” (in the more urban-conscious New York, “Detroit Red”); red-headed black men to the superstitious were literally sons of the devil, quick-tempered and capable of cruel violence. After a year in Harlem Malcolm was officially initiated into hustler society. He returned to Boston in 1945, after a falling out with another hustler, and continued a life of crime, forming his own house-robbing gang. Arrested for robbery in February 1946, he was convicted and sentenced to the Charlestown, Mass., prison for seven years.

While in prison, Malcolm became a follower of Elijah Muhammad, the leader of a small, urban prophet-cult, the Nation of Islam, with branches in Detroit, Chicago, and New York. Malcolm and Elijah Muhammad corresponded by mail. Malcolm’s brother Reginald and half sister Ella, visiting him in prison, urged him to join Muhammad’s cult, and while still in prison he did. He discarded his “slave name,” Little, and was assigned the new name “X”. His conversion led him to greater literacy, immersion in the Qur’ān (Koran), strict adherence to the Nation of Islam’s dietary laws, and what was to be a lifelong interest in ideas. After his parole in 1952, Malcolm X undertook organizational work for the Nation of Islam under the guidance of Elijah Muhammad. Malcolm founded mosques in Boston, Philadelphia, Harlem, and elsewhere and was credited with the national expansion of the movement, the membership of which evidently reached approximately 30,000 by 1963.

Malcolm X came to broad public notice as a result of a July 13–17, 1959, television special with Mike Wallace called The Hate That Hate Produced, which told the story of Malcolm X’s emergence as one of the most important leaders of the Nation of Islam. The program also brought the Nation of Islam (also known as the Black Muslim movement) to the attention of a wide American public. Further, Malcolm X’s thought was expressed in speeches, a newspaper column (first in Harlem’s Amsterdam News and later moved to the Los Angeles Herald Dispatch), and in radio and television interviews. In addition, he helped found the Black Muslim newspaper Muhammad Speaks.

Partly because of tensions within the Black Muslim movement, Malcolm became critical of Elijah Muhammad. He was eventually “silenced” for 90 days after commenting on the assassination of Pres. John F. Kennedy with the phrase “chickens come home to roost.” But before his silence was lifted, Malcolm X left the Nation of Islam to form the Muslim Mosque, Inc. (March 1964) and the Organization of Afro-American Unity (June 1964). He began to articulate a more secular black nationalism, arguing that blacks should control the politics within their own community and, through his speeches, encouraging his followers to use the ballot to effect change.

At the height of his powers Malcolm X was one of black America’s most compelling voices. He had enormous influence among black youth and in progressive intellectual circles. He traveled widely in Europe and Africa, modeling his Organization of Afro-American Unity after the Organization of African Unity. He saw the black American struggle partially as an extension of the effort of Third World nations for human rights. He threatened to bring the United States’s racial problem before the United Nations as part of a campaign for human rights.

Malcolm X described the next stage of his personal evolution in a speech entitled “The Bullet or the Ballot,” in which he attempted to stake out a role for himself in the civil rights movement. He thus moved closer to Martin Luther King, Jr., by accepting the agenda of the civil rights movement. With other black nationalists, he added “black is beautiful” themes to his rhetoric. He continued to stress self-reliance, one of the core values of the Nation of Islam.

Malcolm X went on his obligatory (for orthodox Muslims) pilgrimage to Mecca in 1964 and there began to consider changing his views toward integration. He never fully completed the transition (despite the popular notion, reaffirmed in Spike Lee’s 1992 film Malcolm X, that he did). Afterward he was, if anything, more ambiguous about the outcome of the race struggle in the United States, and he left open the possibility that some whites could contribute to the struggle. After the pilgrimage he adopted the name El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz.

The Queens, N.Y., home Malcolm X shared with his wife, Betty (whom he had married in January 1958) and his six children was firebombed in early February 1965. Malcolm was assassinated on Feb. 21, 1965, as he addressed 400 supporters at the Audubon Ballroom in the Washington Heights section of upper Manhattan. The reason for the assassination has not yet been definitely established. Three men were convicted in March 1966 of first degree murder: Talmadge Hayer, Norman 3X Butler, and Thomas 15X Johnson.

The phenomenon of Malcolm X is not unique in modern (or premodern) society. His career was quite similar to that of other societal rebels and bandits who have appeared, usually in preindustrial societies and especially in prepolitical situations. Such figures usually appear in millenarian movements seeking to transform groups or social systems by means of radical religious rules and the like. The social historians Eric Hobsbawm (writing about Europe) and Christopher Hill (writing about 17th-century revolutionary England) have described these personalities and movements in the books Primitive Rebels and The World Turned Upside Down, respectively. The rebel usually has a criminal background and has been imprisoned (although it is usually unclear whether the imprisonment was deserved or a miscarriage of justice). There is a conversion, gradual or through a revelatory experience. The figure’s state of illiteracy is transformed into the ability to produce compelling rhetoric—in prose or poetry, and sometimes even in elegant literature (as with John Bunyan). The life story has a heroic element and aspects of gallantry.

The early stories circulated about Malcolm X embody this pattern. For example, Malcolm is said to have rescued a lady in a Boston bar from the police, apparently whisking her away before the police could arrest her, putting her in a taxicab, paying the fare, and sending her home. Word of this rescue spread throughout the black community (and among the police as well). Indeed, hustler societies, such as those from which Malcolm emerged, were based on “heroic” codes of this kind. It may be contended (as scholar Prudence Steiner has suggested) that the reputation of Malcolm X has much to do with epic sagas and myths recording how men and women transform societies through heroic action, at times for good and at other times for ill.

In early 2003 it was announced that Malcolm X’s family had deposited a large collection of his papers, including letters, drafts of his speeches, photographs, and five journal notebooks, at the New York Public Library’s Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture. Produced over some two decades of Malcolm X’s life, the collection was expected to reveal much about his intellectual and political development. Although it remains to be seen how Malcolm’s contribution will, in the end, be evaluated, certainly we know for the moment that his life story is of compelling interest to Americans of all colors.

Mission Impossible and Syria and the Middle East
Kings and Russia and N. Korea and Cuba

It can’t be money, it can’t be sex, it can’t be drugs. Ruling power is all that it can be.
Wow.

This article shows how each nation under Communist or Socialist rule, can get rid of their despotic rulers, just as Tom Cruise and the Bourne Conspiracy would do it.

Imagine the wonderment if all nations were democratic. Not hybrids but true democracies; no graft, no lies, no loss of freedoms, easier access to health care, border to border infrastructure improvements, jobs, safe environments and never another world war.

We would need one umbrella Joint Chiefs of Staff, and “replacement trainee presidents and military officers” ready to go to replace those that will be removed by
this movie’s methods and movements.

We would also need to create a new UN cause the current one houses the enemy.

First, we ID the enemies. They include:

a; China
b; N. Korea
c; Russia
d; Cuba
e; Myanmar
f; Vietnam
g. other Asiatic nations?
H. ALL Muslim nations

Then, we ID replacement president candidates. And we ask the new candidates to design a new constitution that has no religion in it–for 3 years, no religious
activities would be practiced.

While religion has its place, as it is, Communist and Socialist nations use fake Christian or real Muslim policies to restrict partly or fully, human rights.

Thus, all of those policies have to be dispensed with. Thus, no Muslim practices. Their leader did, after all, gain converts by threatening them, not by loving them.

Of course, in short order, the spies within the Communist and Socialist nations will know that our umbrella group is meeting. It will meet in a safe, covert house.

“Rules and policies” that are intended to last for a minimum of one month are to be created and then, studied by both US business consultants and constitutional law professors in the US and Canada. These rules and policies lead the ex-Communist and Social nations into federal and state constitutions. This “injection”needs to be put into place as soon as the dictators are “removed.”

Most of the middle east has, as its weakness, no leaders to step into the void and no democratic constitution ready to be put into use. That is the “killer.” Iraq took years to put one together while the Iraqi and US military tried to keep the nation together. Absurd. A new constitution is both a band-aid and a surgical tool as well as a legal one; it must be “conditionally complete” and put into effect in minutes after the dictators and kings are replaced.

It is easy to understand why women, for example, will be hesitant to behave as if they have been freed since coup de etats happen frequently–one guy knocks out the current baddie and in weeks or months, he himself is knocked out by the recently deposed or by a new comer as the new guy is often as bad as the one toppled.

Also, our new laws will have to prohibit cultural processes–going after traditional males in the villages who might attack or at least reprimand the females for “going naked.” [A father and his sons just executed a daughter for listening to American music!]

The biggest blunder Syria and other failing freedom fighters are losing is that they attack in the daylight and overtly. That is dumb. Since the U.N. will not help the Syrian or Yemenese freedom fighters, the rebels must use military methods: split into squads, attach specific state and federal government buildings and staff. Turn off water, electricity and phone lines. Use x-ray types of optics to see where in each building, government people are. Make extensive use of feints; pretend to be one place while focusing on being elsewhere. Go after the families of government officials and just kidnap them-do not harm them. Do things quietly, covertly–under the cover of dark and then, scatter or at least, quietly and covertly, return to safe houses.

Also, give each dictator 1 week to leave. On the eight day, all at one time, blow up the buildings where the kings and dictators do their dictating. Depreciate their power.

Use hit squads……never use jeeps to act like roving bandits.

Each nation must act in concert with the others–so that the dictators and kings know they and their teams are marked.

Sometimes, trusted advisors and body guards will help the rebels eliminate the bad leaders. Those same guards will be given non guard jobs when the new constitution is put into place. That will keep them away from the new power circles.

Imagine the economic benefits to the world of forcing out all the dictators:

If there was only a UN force that had teeth like the US army military does, it could do what Michael Renne’s “The Day the Earth Stood Still”’s robot force was designed to do; start a war, die. If a government officer was accused of breaking a law, he-she would be removed immediately during an investigation [not belatedly] and held under house arrest.

With only one world military, national budgets could shrink 95%. Or there would not be any need for any military budget.

With radical religious people stopped dead in their tracks, “religious radicalism” would be stopped immediately. Praying is one thing but only Christianity, Buddhism and the like would be tolerated because the other religions limit their members to behaviors outside what the law permits/restricts.

With only fairness and equity and all people protected, every nation’s infrastructure would be improved to match cities like Amsterdam, San Francisco, and other dynamic and clean, safe places.

People in every village of the world would have immediate access to health care. Immediate access to all levels of education and could study any field they chose. Women, in more than one half the nations today would be able, for the first time ever, to freely move around, hold any job they wished that was open, have any self-employment they chose, and did not need relative escorts.

With these almost immediate changes, the world’s and nation’s gross national and domestic product would sky rocket. It would increase because, before this transition, women in many cities and nations, are not permitted to make use of their abilities; they are restricted to being mothers. Many Arabs who would stop sitting in front of their stores and go and grasp clients and have true businesses, would start earning 4x their current incomes.

Casinos would climb and leap in value in some cities and be closed in others as women and intelligent men would make superior choices on the use of both their living expenses and their discretionary funds.

Dirt roads throughout Africa and Asia would be converted to cement [if viable] and thus, perhaps faster movement. In those African nations where slaves have been a primary employee source [with no pay] would immediately have to hire staff to do whatever was needed to be done. Over 1,000,000 people who are slaves would be put back into the free market environment and be able to have free movement.

Those individuals who wish to be intimidating rather than use creative, ethical ways to start and grow firms will find themselves in prison for their life-times and will be given chances to handle high risk tasks for the prison system; being guinea pigs for medicine testing, test out and place, water flow electric generation systems, and settle on asteroids and perhaps the moon [like Australia was a penal colony, the moon would become one.]

Children in Central and S. American nation villages that have no infrastructure would have their villages either eliminated or brought up to city codes.

Street drugs would be removed from society and the Mexican and other nation’s drug cartels would be removed from society and placed with the prisoners on the moon or elsewhere.

Places like Siberia and the Mongolian desert could be converted into totally safe and comfortable places to live with the rarely used or tried, plexiglas covered cities. 100% of the city would be covered. All residents would live in a temperature controlled environment.

World unemployment would disappear. Intelligence would sky rocket. Freedom would be the key as long as one’s freedom did not include physically harming others.

Progressive President II: Where Are We Headed?

Ryan Keith Johnson

© Copy Right 2012 All Rights Reserved.

Progressive Concept; Make The People Want An Evolution Not a Revolution.

It is true that in the past leading up to now that politicians have worked hard to motivate the public by telling them to give up their guns. They also like to say that America needs to get into foreign affairs and that the people should be passive about regulations that are passed.

Now with the Patriot Act that has been passed, the Federal Government can continue monitoring and with Obama signing the Defense Act Bill you can be sure that your rights are being infringed. These bills break the Fourth and Fifth Amendment of being safe and free in your home and having a trial with a jury. What this means is that the Federal Government can consider anyone a Terrorist. They can break into your home, hand cuff you and take you away to a location where no one can find you. You hear about interrogations being done in Egypt and that the citizens of Egypt are taken from their homes and basically disappear.

What The Federal Government Wants

The people that are in our Federal Government want to break the country in pieces. They want to destroy families and destroy communities so that things get so bad that the people cry out for help. When the people cry out for help then the Federal Government will declare Martial Law. Martial Law is an act where the country becomes a police state. People will have a cure few that will lock down the community into their homes. It will be like Nazi Germany when Hitler took control of the country. The constitution will be suspended and nobody will have any freedom, you’ll have total tyranny.

The Federal Government want control over what you do, where you work, how your children are raised, how you should spend your money and where you can travel.

They’ve already got control over where you can work with the credit score. People think that employers use the credit score to decide who to hire. The credit score is irrelevant when applying for a job, but yet you’re asked to sign a waiver giving them permission to look up your credit score. It’s discrimination and against the Fourth Amendment. Employers aren’t even suppose to be photo copying your Driver’s License because of the increase in identity thefts. Think about it you don’t know your employer and you shouldn’t be giving that information out. America is the only country in the world that has the Credit Score.

The Federal Government wants control over the Education of what your child is taught. Jimmy Carter passed the Department of Education with Congress to take responsibility for your child’s education. The idea is to have a system in place to teach the children a small portion of America’s history. They want your children to become followers, dependent on government and have no understanding for consequences for their actions. They want to dumb down your child by making it difficult for teachers to do their job. Think about the No Child Left Behind Act passed by President Bush, it didn’t help the children or the teachers.

There have been other anomalies that can’t be proved the Federal Government is behind it, but the Federal Government isn’t doing their job to protect the public. There are food additives and high levels of toxins in health products; like shampoos, hair sprays, make up, lips stick. These Toxins can cause degeneration of the brain and make it hard for your child to learn in school. The Federal Government knows that they can’t make you get your vaccine shots. These vaccines are loaded with Mercury that cause ADHD, ADD, Learning Disabilities, Behavioral Problems and Autism. Vaccines are scams and the Federal Government is behind this scam to make you believe if you don’t get a flu vaccine that you’ll die. Mammograms are scams as well, they cause cancer.

What Can We Do?

We can do a lot! We need to stand up and say no to big government and socialism. We need to preserve a Republic for the individual American Citizen. We need to work together by sharing what we know to other uninformed Americans. Get organized and talk to your neighbors. We can’t depend on the Fox 9 news or CNN or any News to cover the biggest SCAM that’s going on in our government.

There is already a growing movement in the United States. Militias are forming; there’s one in Virginia and Michigan. Protests are being done in Washington DC with the direction this country is going the people in power don’t know what to think. We need to stop fighting among ourselves over petty things, our freedom is at stake. If we don’t have our constitution and our freedom then we’re allowing more government control that will lead to something worse, world governance.

The Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency just shut down over 300 websites suspected of internet piracy. No judge, no warrant, no trial. This could be just the beginning of dictator-type policing of the internet, internet usage and e-commerce.

GUILTY UNTIL PROVEN INNCOCENT

ICE has found a loophole in the law which allowed them to seize the domains of over 300 websites which were suspected of intending to stream the Super Bowl or sell Super Bowl merchandise. They have been grated the power through section 2323 of the United States Code to seize any domain or website which they “think” is distributing any copyrighted material with the ease of obtaining a search warrant. ICE does not need to give ANY prior notification to anyone running a website that such action is going to take place. Only after the site is shut down can a person file a case with the court system. A writ of replevin would need to be heard before the court to prove their site was not used for the distribution of copyrighted material.

GET READY TO GIVE UP YOUR FREEDOM

The broad interpretation and enforcement of these laws opens the door for any agency enacted by the government to seize anything from your homes which may have. Let’s explore a scenario. You go to E-bay and bid on a used copy of Star Wars on blue ray. You don’t know it but the person you bought it from sold a bootleg copy of Steel Magnolias a year ago. Under the provisions of these laws, ICE would be able to seize your entire blue ray collection, your computers and any other electronic device related to entertainment from your home without prior notification or your consent and you would have to convince a judge that you did not purchase any of those items illegally or with the intent to distribute them illegally.

I know this sound a little too much like “Big Brother” watching over us, but this is how they were able to shut these sites down. How long will it be before they decide to expand the enforcement of these laws to shut down people that see these things going on and decide to write about it?

The internet's vendetta against SOPA/PIPA supporters.

Even though SOPA and PIPA, legislation that could compromise the freedoms internet users in the United States and many other nations enjoy, have been seemingly halted, those that fought against it refuse to stop beating it down. An event has been organized, one that will last for the entire month of March, to cast a blow against all distributors of copyrighted material worldwide.

Below is a promotional poster spread across the internet by supporters of Black March.

They plan to achieve such a lofty goal by boycotting all copyrighted consumer goods, such as music, movies and books. As described in the promotional image above, this will give “all governments an economic hit that can be visible”.

So is this actually possible? Will it actually do something? There are a couple very good arguments that say no.

First, how many people will actually give up buying copyrighted material for an entire month? I’d like to think we all have the self-discipline to take on such a task, but unfortunately many of us don’t.

Second, won’t these companies experience a boom when this is over? Everyone who participates will no doubt have a few things in mind to blow all that saved up money on when April comes. This could overwrite any damage that is done.

Whatever the case, it is good to see people willing to give up some of their entertainment and consumerism to make a difference in the name of freedom. Whether or not it does make a difference in the end, I will be participating in Black March, and I would urge the readers of this article to do the same.

So its the first day of black history month and I have found little history tohat catches my eye. I wonder will it be celebrated in the schools? I'm beginning to think that our people are taking black history mont lightly.

February 1st. It is the first day of black history month and I’m waiting for that sign that today is the fist day. I’m thinking that we all have just put this month to the side and said it doesn’t matter. I understand that it is a short month but it is still important. Remember your grandmother and great-grandmothers struggles and what they did for us. It is a time for dedication and cheer that slavery is over. In some cases slavery still exist but for the most part we are allowed some freedom, more than we had. The children need to know their history and should be taught that black history month is important. Who wants to be left out? I want to celebrate it and want to find so much information on it that my head begins to spin. Black History month is important to me and why isn’t important to the African American race.

We should be proud to be called American and have that beautiful skin tone. I love my hair even if it knots up at times. Yes, its like wool but so is Jesus hair and I may use some Ebonics here and there but I’m still proud. Let the schools know that it is alright to celebrate this month and allow all the children to join in. I’m brown skinned and I’m proud of it. I was not born in the50’s or 60’s but I have some idea what other’s thought of us. I have experience racism and being pushed in back of the line. I cry when I watch Mississippi Burning but I don’t want any other race to suffer because of it. Black history is want I want to hear about this month and I want stand for nothing less. I’m proud of who I am and where I came from.

The children need to know how proud I am and when they return from school I’ll let them know, although they may look at me crazy. I will shout I’m proud and walk like it too. I’m an African American and not a nigger, negro, black or colored but African American and I want to celebrate it. Thanks for allowing me to be expressive . Good day!

What's right with the government?.

My personal thoughts are:David Cameron is out of touch with today’s society.

When did he ever have to scrimp and save a every penny to make ends meet?.He has nothing in common with the some of the people he claims to represent.According to www.direct.gov.uk:Your human rights include:

the right to life.

The right not to be discriminated against in respect of these rights and freedoms.

The plain and simple truth is,there are not enough jobs to go around and/or people lack the necessary skills in either maintaining or retraining in their jobs.I myself am unemployed and at 41 it seems like there is no hope, all i seem to do is fill out endless job applications where it seems there are 30 persons also applying for the same job.In some cases it would seem to be either over qualified for a humble position in a company or too old to be retrained,of course this is never disclosed to you as it would come under discrimination. My recommendation is to cut all this inadequate red tape questions at interview.’Why do you want to work here?’.'What are your strengths and weaknesses?’. ‘What can you bring to the company?’. Amongst other nonsensical questions.I do understand that companies have to know certain things about you but some of the questions i have been asked at interview by a 22 year old who themselves have been in their job for a short period borders on stupidity.

Today’s Britain is far from what is was when my father was working and mother was a housewife. You could only have what you could afford and that went for food, appliances etc;.

In today’s culture people want it now and they don’t care how they obtain it (in some cases).

I am sorry if i have gone a little off topic it’s just my opinion.

Thankyou.

ACTA may be scarier than SOPA, Internet freedom advocates say, and outrage over the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement treaty is growing as it gains international prominence in the wake of the U.S. Congress shelving the Stop Online Piracy Act last week.

Both the ACTA treaty and the SOPA bill are ostensibly aimed at limiting counterfeiting and piracy, but opponents argue that they would have the adverse effects of limiting Internet freedom, quashing innovation and possibly even censoring the Internet.

Google, Wikipedia, Reddit and other websites staged asuccessful SOPA blackout on Jan. 18, bringing the web together in opposition to the bill, and causing the Congress to have to go back to the drawing board on an anti-piracy bill.

And now ACTA opponents, from the Electronic Frontier Foundation to the Anonymous hacktivist collective are colaescing in opposition to the treaty as well.

Despite these key similarities, the ACTA vs. SOPA debate usually ends up with opponents ruling that ACTA is scarier in terms of what its worldwide impacts would be. Here are five of these reasons why these opponents believe ACTA is the greater threat to the Internet as we know it:

1. Scope: The key reason why ACTA is scarier to many Internet freedom advocates is the fact that it is an international treaty. SOPA was a bill before the U.S. Congress, and though it would have had some worldwide implications as it was aimed at stopping web piracy at overseas sites like Sweden’s Pirate Bay torrent site.

ACTA, meanwhile, would set up an international legal framework to deal with issues of counterfeiting, piracy and other crimes. Instead of dealing with individual nation’s laws regarding these issues, if ACTA is passed, countries would be able to adjudicate these crimes in a new governing body that would exist outside of the purview of the United Nations and other international institutions.

This opens up the possibility for ACTA to be used to crack down on Internet activity worldwide by a coordinated authority that rests outside of any country. SOPA, meanwhile, would have been enforced by existing American agencies, and would have been subject to legal scrutiny and constitutional challenges within the U.S. judiciary system.

2. Transparency: The SOPA debate took place mostly outside of the public eye at first, but because it was taking place in the halls of the U.S. Congress, Internet freedom advocates were able to monitor the proceedings, view draft bills and related materials and monitor the proceedings.

But the ACTA treaty is being negotiated almost entirely behind closed doors. If it were not for the advent ofWikiLeaks, which released documents revealing details of the negotiations and draft versions of the treaty, the world community would still have very little knowledge of what exactly the treaty might entail.

This opens up major concerns for people who would like to ensure that the treaty does not infringe on people’s rights or limit internet freedom in ways that would be detrimental to the web’s status as a place where information flows freely.
