39th Anniversary of Roe vs. Wade, Republicans are Pro-choice

Sadly, we "celebrated" the 39th anniversary of Roe vs. Wade, the Supreme Court Case that made abortion universal in the United States. Republicans were in a position to get it reversed, but have blown it and it remains with us today. Women who would vote for Republicans but for the abortion issue should not worry.

Betty Ford Dead | Betty Ford Pass away | Betty Ford Dies | Betty Ford Death – Her work paid dividends in October 1982 when, along with Leonard Firestone, she opened the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, California. To in this day and age, the middle remains one among the most well-known and revered places nationwide for treatment of alcoholism and different drug dependencies.

Ford also fought to push awareness and analysis on breast cancer, with the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation eventually naming an award in her honor.

She earned varied honors over her life, together with a Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1991 and the Congressional Gold Medal eight years later.

Gerald Ford died on December twenty six, 2006, at the couple’s home in Rancho Mirage. He was ninety three.

President Barack Obama remembered the previous 1st girl as a "powerful advocate for girls’s health and ladies’s rights" and someone who "helped reduce the social stigma surrounding addiction." His predecessor, George W. Bush, added that "as a result of of her leadership, several lives were saved."

Some of the many others providing praise and sympathy included Nancy Reagan (calling Ford "a plan), and former presidents George H. W. Bush (describing her as a "wonderful wife and mother, a great friend and a courageous 1st girl) and Jimmy Carter (saying she was "a close personal friend" and "a remarkable political spouse.")

Betty Ford, the widow of late President Gerald Ford and a co-founding father of an eponymous addiction center in California, has died at the age of 93, in keeping with the director of the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Museum.

Ford died Friday evening with family at her bedside, according to a loved one.

Elaine Didier, the director of the Grand Rapids, Michigan, museum, confirmed Ford’s death to CNN.

No other details were immediately offered. The family is predicted to release a press release later Friday or Saturday, Didier said.
