Desertification is the process of becoming deserts of vast areas of the earth's surface by the disappearance of vegetation, either by natural causes (bio climatic regressive evolution or climate degradation) or unnatural. In recent years, the problem of desertification by unnatural causes, mainly attributable to human activities, directly affects approximately six hundred million people.

Among the natural causes that lead to desertification, one can consider the cyclical nature of the ice ages, resulting in global warming that occurs in interglacial periods. In this regard, there are theories that blame the general desertification living Earth to this warming, as some scientists say could be living the high point of this interglacial period, that argument is countered by another important sector of the scientific community. They are also natural causes the warming of the atmosphere caused by extraordinary phenomena such as giant eruptions of a volcano or the impact of large meteorites on Earth’s crust. In addition, the abundance of poorly consolidated rocks, prone to further erosion, contributes to the process of desertification.

With regard to unnatural causes, include EU agriculture and industry as the most human activities have affected the soils of the earth’s surface. Among the first is the search for arable land and its subsequent exploitation, resulting in the removal of existing vegetation and, ultimately, sterility of the soil. The loss of the vegetation and bare soil exposure decreased the water absorption capacity, due to increased runoff, and increase the surface albedo (reflection of sunlight from the ground in all directions). The increase in albedo negative effect on cloud formation, decreasing therefore rainfall. The clearing of forests for soil cultivation, widely practiced throughout the world, is rapidly decreasing the amount and area of woodland, especially in the tropics, and is changing the surface characteristics of large areas of the Earth .

Another practice that entails the destruction of the vegetation is overgrazing. It is normal in these activities deforestation and woodland arson in order to extend the grazing areas. Also the introduction of grazing causes massive loss of vegetation, because they prevent natural regeneration of plant species.

Industrial activities make up another large group of human practices provoking global desertification of the planet. They affect preferably on the essential elements of climate, unlike the previous ones, whose effects are felt mainly in soils. There are two main consequences arising from the industrial processes involved in the general erosion of the planet, acid rain and the greenhouse effect. Acid rain has become more industrialized areas of the world, the main source of pollution, deforestation can produce large masses of vegetation. In Germany, for example, acid rain is responsible for the loss of half the forests in the most industrialized areas. Moreover, the greenhouse effect has been shown in recent years as the primary cause of global warming, and therefore processes desertification that this entails. The greenhouse effect arises from the excessive emission of certain types of gases, especially CO2, which are suspended in the atmosphere, forming a layer that allows input of radiation from outer space but not out, because when it hits the surface ground and re-projecting outwardly are unable to penetrate the layer of gas, thus producing a gradual warming of the atmosphere. CO2 emissions may occur naturally, but in recent years the increase of CO2 in the atmosphere has been so high that is associated with modern industrial processes and excessive burning of fossil fuels. Scientists have calculated that the increase of CO2 in the atmosphere has been 15% during this century, and today the rate of increase is 0, 33% annually. With these data, concludes that the atmosphere is exposed to excessive heat, which is causing climate change that favors the processes of desertification of large areas of Earth. Of course, the most likely to be affected are those with a relative degree of aridity or semi-arid.

The process of desertification affected areas of all continents: North and South Mediterranean basin, sub-Saharan Africa, Middle East, Australia, etc.. It is estimated that the extent of land affected by this problem is over 34,000,000 km2. To tackle it is necessary from all over the world in the implementation of conservation policies, whose implementation, however, is hampered by the current dynamics of the global economy. Measures such as controlling emissions of gases into the atmosphere, the reforestation programs of forest or agricultural development policies that take into account the regeneration of the land, are essential to prevent further spread of desertification by the Earth. However, the results of these are unlikely to be significant in the short term.

Lava Formations in Western U.S. Linked to Rip in Giant Slab of Earth.

For decades experts who research the procedures actual the global moving tectonic clothing and how they appearance the earth have discussed the roots of rapid, large breakouts of lava at the global exterior. In several destinations around the world, such “flood basalts” are noticeable by tremendous structures of volcanic mountain. A well-known example is India’s Deccan overflow basalt, a development commonly considered as relevant to the decline of the dinosaurs 65 thousand decades ago.

Such breakouts are thought to generally happen when the head of a layer plume, a mushroom-shaped upwelling of hot mountain increasing from deeply within Global internal, actually grows to the exterior. Now Scripps postdoctoral specialist Lijun Liu and geophysics lecturer Lady Stegman have recommended an substitute source for the volcanic action of Oregon’s The philipines Stream overflow basalt.

Liu and Stegman dispute that around 17 thousand decades ago the tectonic menu that was subducting within the european U. s. Declares started pulling apart, creating large outpourings of magma. Their recommended style identifies a energetic crack long-lasting two thousand decades — a fast eruption in geological conditions — across the so-called Farallon piece, where the crack propagate across 900 miles (559 miles) along southern Or and south The state of nevada.

“Only with a separate of this range in the down-going piece can we arrive at the provide day geometry of layer we see in the area,” said Liu, “and geochemical proof from the The philipines Stream lavas can also be described by our style.”

“When the piece is first started out there’s a little split, but because of the questionable beneath the, the content is able to power its way through the pit. It’s like in the films when a screen smashes in an aircraft that is at thin air — since the cottage is at greater demand, everything gets pulled out the screen,” said Stegman, an associate lecturer with Scripps’ Cecil H. and Ida M. Natural Institution of Geophysics and Planetary Technology.

Liu and Stegman came upon their new process by trying to explain how the challenging framework of Global layer under the european U.S. designed during the last 40 thousand decades. One more state of their model’s time-evolution suits the provide day framework as imaged by the USArray, the Nationwide Technology Foundation’s lightweight seismic system of 400 indicator channels leapfrogging across the U. s. Declares.

The Bob Kilometers Fellowship, the Cecil and Ida Natural Groundwork and the G. Unger Vetlesen Groundwork financed the research.

Globalization has also totally changed Nasty Industry: its effects on Environment.

The introduction of plastic has totally changed the product packaging businesses. It is becoming the major toxic toxins of the provide era. It has the potential to contaminate nature and all the normal resources such as air, water and ground. It is a non-biodegradable product producing burial plot harm to our surrounding (Plastic Problems). Globalization motivates the submission of goods from one part of the planet to another and this requires appropriate product packaging to keep the items protected and in perfect reliability, development of plastic and its items has turned out to be a advantage for forcing the globalization to its provide type. The economic investors have given a least ear to this harmful material which is now becoming a choking threat of drainages and sewerlines of the roads. This is a serious environment dilemma as it causes the situation of over bombarded roadways with water may it be rain water or else it is coming through the blocked water pipe. It causes serious congested zones over the roadways when the roadways are bombarded with water moreover; blocked pipes provide incredible reproduction argument for disease-causing several (Plastic Problems).

Altered Inherited Cosmetics and Mutation

Due to globalization, and industrialization, various effluents are released in the environment changing the percentage of normal smells. It is obvious that these smells are dangerous to the population of the place. Some of these smells are capable of changing the genetic makeup of the crops, creatures and people existing in that place. Apart from these smells there are certain effluents which are tossed out in the ground or in the closest water body with a thought that they will be watered down, but these ingredients are so very dangerous that even their ppm (ppm) levels could outcome in serious illnesses which are beyond any treatment and cure. Consumption of impure water is highly dangerous. The condition called minimata is caused by mercury accumulation in the similar manner various bug sprays, ingredients and particles are tossed in the water body may lead to loss of sight, cancer, paralysis and if absorbed by a expectant mothers then it outcomes in malformation of child or causes illnesses like spina bifida or teratogenesis (Blackburn, 2007). These ingredients are known to impact the DNA of the existing creatures may it be crops, creatures or people.

Nuclear Advances

The developments in atomic technology and developing atomic reactors to meet the growing requirements of electrical power are producing a serious harm to the ground of the place. Fischer ingredients are very dangerous and have an effect on our structure of the bacteria. Changed structure causes the changes in the genetic makeup and hence concept of gene is affected producing genetic harm, wrong functionality of protein and hence wrong minerals. Together it ends to make any inhabitant a serious sufferer of any kind of condition (Lewin, IX edn.)

War, Risks and Accidents

In the hurry to inspire the countries with arms and ammunitions, the experts are purchasing and developing atomic weaponry. When these weaponry are examined for their performance then it outcomes in the total harm of the place both in terms of crops and creatures. It is a great importance for environment as we have not overlooked the happening of Hiroshima and Nagasaki explosive device fun time of 1945. Inhabitants are still experiencing the effects as the planet is still having the atomic dynamic particles producing serious health issues. It must be taken into dilemma that these elements have huge half life period and can endure in their dynamic type for long.

The Effects Global Warming.

While many realize that global conditions rising is happening in the world, few understand the effects that this may have on our way of life. These increasing global conditions are going to cause a coordinator of changes in the world, and we need to act now or make to modify to some very powerful changes.

First, these increasing conditions present a huge risk to our ice-caps. Levels of ice that have not dissolved for centuries are beginning to break apart and fall into the beach. One of the greatest ice linens on the earth, on Greenland, is at a danger of breaking apart and dropping into the beach. While it doesn’t sound like too big of a deal, the loss of the Greenland ice piece will cause disastrous conditions globally. The sea level is predicted to increase as much as 23 toes when the piece comes, and that periods catastrophe for the seaside places that signify some of the greatest and most essential facilities of deal and business across the earth. New york would be sunk; much of California would be under the sea, and that’s not even post the globally repercussions. Every area of the planet would be suffering from this increasing of sea levels, and the catastrophe triggered would make storm damage seem like a advantage. An incredible number of refugees from the seaside places will be without home or workplace; it would be one of the hugest human issues ever experienced in our history. The modifying of the environment could also impact a coordinator of conditions on our planet; plants makes can be suffering from the increasing conditions, which would also present considerable problems to a world of refugees. Much of the area may become dry due to the results of heat range change, and we may find some of our most arable areas topic to the results of ground loss, and gradually, a move into leave area. Also, water resources, jungles, and place and creature life would be suffering from the global changes, and we may not be able to see how considerable these changes may impact our life until they are already upon us. For that reason, it’s essential that we increase our knowledge of globally conditions rising, and do our best to avoid it in in the future. While it may have negative impacts on our economic system and our way of life, we owe it to our children to give them a relaxing, safe world to mature in.

Trees and Global Warming.

Global warming is leaving trees behind. Some two thirds of forest species in six French mountain ranges have moved at least 18.5 meters higher on the mountainsides per decade during the 20th century. Previous research has demonstrated that plants at the highest elevations on mountains and in the polar regions have shifted to adjust to global warming. The latest result marks the first confirmation that entire ecosystems in lower, more temperate regions are moving as well. The study is in the June 27 Science.

Global warming is projected to have immense effects on freshwater and wetland ecosystems, according to a report by a team of scientists led by a biologist from Colorado State University.

The climate change, which many researchers believe to be inevitable, could be devastating to trout, salmon and several species of aquatic plants and animals.

In a report titled “Aquatic Ecosystems and Global Climate Change,” researchers forecast substantial shifts in fish habitats, decreasing water quality and disappearing wetlands. According to the study, rivers, lakes and wetlands may be seriously affected by the predicted global warming trend.

In particular, cold-water fish such as trout and salmon are projected to suffer substantially and disappear from large areas of their current geographic range. Some species attempting to flee warmer waters by migrating north or to higher elevations may become extinct due to natural or man-made barriers blocking their routes.

Great conspiracy theories – Global Warming

Climate changes are associated with many uncertainties. This is a very complex phenomenon from the realm of chaos theory. Political pressure gives rise to suspicions and questions. What’s really behind them lies?

Conspiracy theories about global warming skeptic combines the assumption that if there is no global warming and anthropogenic factor is not decisive. Advantageous deal and sniffing tool handling various business, political groups, as well as scientists involved in climatology. Some politicians are working to use the fear of global warming, to enrich, gained power and even created a global government to establish the NWO (New World Order – New World Order). There is a hypothesis that the Earth – despite the current rise in temperatures – finally begins to cool and there is another ice age. Some researchers see a warming planet Nibiru approaching.

Who’s who

Al Gore – Albert Arnold Gore ml. is an American Democratic politician, former U.S. vice president under Bill Clinton’s presidency, a senator and the most famous purveyor of the theory of global warming. In his book Earth in a bowl weights of 1992 to hold out against a cartel of large multinational oil companies, however, like his father has close ties to the company Occidental Petroleum (Oxy), which has no great respect for the environment. Al Gore wrote in the book: “We must save the environment from central plan to make to civilization.”

In 2006 he wrote a book Inconvenient Truth (An Inconvenient Truth) and heavily promoted eponymous documentary film on global warming. The film was criticized for spreading false information. In Great Britain became the subject of court action, should be banned in schools for screening children. Although the court overruled the film, but warned that contains nine fundamental falsehood on which teachers children attention, revealed a total of 36 serious errors.

Nine major mistakes Al Gore

First Greenland: The idea that Greenland will melt and sea level rise “in the near future” of seven meters, is nonsense.

Second Pacific Islands: If the islanders were evacuated because of rising sea levels (zaviněnému warming), the author devised.

Third Gulf Stream: Scientists expect that the Gulf Stream due to warming could shut down any time soon.

4th Carbon monoxide (CO 2) determines the temperature: in fact it’s the opposite.

5th Kilimanjaro: loss of ice on this mountain, according to African scientists can not be attributed to warming global warming bill.

6th Lake Chad: Drying Lake Chad can not blame global warming. This is an increase in population, agriculture and land use changes.

7th Hurricane Katrina: The Hurricane of blame can not be attributed to global warming. During the last hundred years, hurricanes in the U.S. or accrued stronger.

8th Drowning polar bears: Drowning polar bears are not related to global warming. Drowned in the storm.

9th Coral bleaching: It can not be unequivocally attributed to warming.

Climate Research Unit (CRU) – Institute at the University of East Anglia, draws its information from the IPCC reports. The CRU generated graphs of global warming. The director was in 2009, Phil Jones. CRU is legally obliged to provide information to publish the data and evidence on which to base his plots, because the Institute is funded by taxpayers’ money. CRU, these requests for information refused. In November 2009 broke into computer networks and the Institute of hacker stole one thousand e-mails and various documents. E-mail correspondence will then become the basis of various allegations that scientists working on the project, climate change, adapt and adjust so that the data confirms the theory of global warming. The affair was called Climategate.

IPCC – Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC, Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) is a scientific body, which was founded in 1988 to evaluate the risks of climate change UN two organizations – the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) . In December 2007 he was in Oslo for his work with the Nobel Peace Prize with former U.S. Vice President Al Gore. The Fourth Assessment Report of the 2007 IPCC summarized the current scientific knowledge. In the 20th century (1906-2005), the average global temperature increased by 0.74 ± 0.18 ° C, with probability greater than 90% is more than 50% of this warming human activity such as burning fossil fuels and land use changes.

History of Global Warming
1896 – The term “global warming” was first mentioned already in 1896 the Swedish scientist Svante Arrheniem, but who thought that global warming could be beneficial, especially for the Nordic countries.
1989 – The devastating full criticism of the hypothesis of global warming caused by CO2 emissions published in 1989 WE Reifsnyder, who worked for half a century at Yale University in the fields of general and forest meteorology. His study was entitled “A Tale of the Fallacies” (The story of ten fraud).

1992 – Some governments have begun to fear some danger and decided to sign the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change. Ratified by 189 nations committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
1997 – later followed her to the Kyoto Protocol, specifying emission reductions of 5.2%. All countries should gradually get to the same level, the state must change its emissions by a certain percent, most reduced (eg CR 8%), some of them maintain the status quo (eg Russia).
2004 Kyoto Protocol was ratified by 132 countries.

2009 – Climategate – When hackers attack e-mails were published by several scientists, whose parts were presented as a journalist finding that the IPCC regulate or invent data to support the thesis that global warming is primarily caused by man. In November 2009, someone broke into computer networks and the CRU received thousands of e-mails and other documents for the years 1996 – 2009. An unknown hacker data, and e-mails climatologists published on the Internet. Some texts give rise to a legitimate impression that there was concealment and manipulation of the results of climate research.

2011 – Climate Conference, 2011 Durban. The agreement, which foresees the start of work on a new treaty on the control of greenhouse gases, which will be obligatory for big polluters, India and China welcomed, as a great success it has identified the European Union. Experts on the environment but they claim it will do little progress. The agreement, which should come into force in 2020, but may not be legally binding. To maintain the commitment warming by less than 2 degrees is not enough even reportedly Kyoto Protocol, even in Durban approved plan.

The official version of global warming

Even science is not official, although united in the opinion of the warming of the climate system, but said 90% of scientists believe that global warming causes an increase in oxygen concentration of gases produced by human civilization and the combustion of fossil fuels. These findings are recognized academies of science in most industrialized countries in the world.

The IPCC said that with probability greater than 90% is more than 50% of this warming human activity such as burning fossil fuels and land use changes. We have therefore no complete assurance that things are happening, as presented to us and certainly we have no assurance that human efforts to affect 50% of these will be effective. It is a very expensive activity.

Since 1880, the average temperature has increased by 0.8 ° C, and scientists predict that by 2060 will increase by another 2.5 ° C. The last two decades of the 20th century was the warmest year in the last 400 years and according to recent studies, even for several millennia.

The prevailing scientific view

The main cause of global warming emissions of gases, particularly CO, CO2 and methane, emitted into the atmosphere. The biggest polluters are factories burning fossil fuels. About 20% of CO2 emissions Deleted motor vehicles with gasoline engines. Another cause is the loss of wooded areas due to logging.

The global warming show not only direct measurements of temperature, but indirectly also other phenomena. The natural factors influencing climate in the first place the sun. Regarding its effects still exist large doubts, especially concerning the mechanisms of solar activity variability in long periods of time. Solar activity in the first half of the 20th century grew slightly and this increase can be attributed to about 0.3 ° C warming of the total in the last century.

Global dimming

Some scientists are now concerned with the hypothesis that the influence of the recently observed global dimming (the earth’s surface falls less solar radiation, probably due to aerosols) could partially mask the global warming. If so, the aerosol indirect effect stronger than previously estimated, which would mean that the climate sensitivity to greenhouse gases is stronger.

Doubts

Paleoclimate data for the last 500 million years show that long-term temperature changes only weakly related to changes in carbon dioxide. Some scientists argue that the greatest long-term influence on temperature is in fact the whole movement of our solar system around the galactic center.

Warming in the 20th century was not uniform. More land area than thawing oceans. Warmed more than the south of the northern hemisphere. Although global warming is a planetary phenomenon at some monitoring stations during the temperature did not increase, sometimes even colder.

German-Russian scientific study published in 2010 notes that in the Arctic summer temperatures throughout most of the late 20th century ranged from the level they were at the beginning of the Industrial Revolution, at a time when humanity with belching greenhouse gases just beginning.

Some economists believe that the cost of addressing the consequences of global warming would be much lower than the cost of reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Therefore, according to them useless and ineffective attempt to drastically reduce these emissions.

NASA: Warming was not reversed

In 2007, the U.S. space agency said that global warming can no longer be reversed. Announced that Jim Hansen of the Goddard Institute for Space Studies at NASA. According to his estimate, only a very drastic change in the coming years to the disastrous effects of the greenhouse effect reversed. But they will not, and so in 2015, 35 percent more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and there is a time of great glaciers at the end not even ice at the poles.

conspiracy theories

In 2003, U.S. senator James Inhofe Republican Party said at the soil Congress: “With all the hysteria, fear and bogus science could be that global warming caused by humans is the greatest hoax against the American people?” Inhofe accused the supporters of the Kyoto Protocol, such as . Jacuese Chirac of seeking a global government.

Retired researcher William M. Gray has listed 15 reasons for the hysteria over global warming, among the reasons stated “the need to create a new enemy after the Cold War, the efforts of scientists, government leaders and defenders of the environment to find a political reason, which would enable them to” organize, promote , to impose obedience and exercise political influence, that conclusion was that the global government could best lead us to a better world.

The klimaskeptiky also includes Texas governor and presidential candidate for Republican Rick Perry.
Klimaskeptici but may occur in the head of state. These include the most powerful man in the world Chinese President Hu Jintao, who considers the theory of manmade global warming hoax for the U.S..

Some Chinese do not like that should reduce emissions and accuse Americans that everything came up just to sell green energy technology. According to a Dutch study, China is the largest producer of greenhouse gases in the world.

The plot and its motivation

The authors see the conspiracy theories conspiracy main actors in the UN, as scientists, governments of some states in the left-wing political activists, or vice versa in circles of energy, using the situation with fossil fuels, to promote the construction of more nuclear power plants, etc.
As motivation is most often reported efforts to enforce a system of global government and new world order. Scientists are suspected of that for themselves they want to get substantial funding for further research. Governments are suspicions that they want to raise taxes. Left-wing political activists are accused of trying to block antiglobalizaci, anti-Americanism and anti-Western attitudes.

Evidence

The main conspirators considered evidence Climategate affair and the alleged manipulation of scientists with data that shows the correspondence. In evidence are considered all the scientific “evidence” that are not objective, do not sufficiently long period of climate change. Both parties and the so-called whistleblowers Rejectionists to allege that they are corrupt and manipulate scientific data.

Quote from a hacked e-mail in CRUs:

Phil Jones 16th November 1999: “I’ve just completed Mike’s trick of Nature … to cover the drop in temperatures.”

Mick Kelly 26th October 2008: “Around the curve cuts the last few years, because there the temperature trend of falling down.”
Wigley 28th September 2009: “If we managed to reduce the temperature charts in oceans (of 40 years) by 0.15 ° C, this would have significant impact on global temperatures …. 0.15 ° C, I deliberately chose … “

Doubts

Climategate scandal investigations into several committees that climatologists exonerated. Critics of the work of these committees, however, argue that the Commission was independent and was just named those who are to be investigated.
Critics allege conspiracy theory have naysayers among scientists that are funded by energy industry. Greenpeace carried out a study where it is claimed that 90% of scientists who deny climate change is associated with ExxonMobil and Koch Industries, the company released over the past 50 years more than $ 50 million to spread doubt about climate change.

The temperature on Earth over the past 200 years really is rising, announced in October 2011 an independent group of American scientists from the University of Berkeley. Experts started to research the scandal of his colleagues from the University Východoanglické. Scientists at work used the latest methods of measurement. The results are according to them exactly resembled the values of warming that previously published by other teams in the U.S. and Great Britain. This confirms that these studies have been developed carefully and without bias.

Further evidence

Various organizations in support of the theory of global warming bribing workers organized by the BBC and the BBC “training”. BBC broadcasts instead of propaganda of balanced programs that originated on the order form and money for the UN and the EU. He said it in his memoirs, long time head of BBC news, Peter Sissons. “When she came fourth IPCC report, I suggested in the study, we have invited one of the two klimaskeptiky and recorded their response to the report. However, I met with rejection responses completely, as if I must be crazy. BBC also ignored Climategate.

A major critic of the anthropogenic view of global warming is a British politician Christopher Monckton, who accused the UN that its staff deliberately moved the decimal point in the report on the Earth’s climate. Once scientists have completed a draft report put her in the bureaucrats of the UN a new table in which the decimal point was moved four places to the right. Tenfold and increased the actual contribution of Greenland glaciers and západoantarktických to sea level rise.

Full of errors and misleading information are also reports UN climate, says Monckton, which has provided evidence and charged that the UN experts manipulate data on the climatic evolution of the planet.

“The UN denies that global temperatures in the medieval warm period were much higher than today. They ignored dozens of peer-reviewed documents indicating this fact and continue to pay fraudulent, and has long been discredited “hockey stick” graph, which in the previous assessment of 2001 attempting to rewrite history.

“Warmer than today was also in Roman times, the Minoan warm period or during the Holocene climatic optimum, when 2000 years of higher temperatures in the Bronze Age allowed the emergence of great civilizations throughout the world. In each of the four previous interglacial ruled temperatures higher than today. In the last half billion years, temperatures were almost always higher than the present. Warming, which has now stopped (since 1998 had no statistically significant warming occurred), it is entirely within the natural fluctuations in climate.

Lorenz (1963) in the major climatological study that gave rise to chaos theory, stated and proved his famous theorem that the long-term development so mathematically chaotic objects, such as climate, can not be predicted until we know precisely the initial state of an object to an extent which is practice unattainable.

So whenever you hear someone reciting propaganda spell “research is completed,” you can laugh at his boorish scientific illiteracy. Scientific research can never be completed.

A recent peer-reviewed scientific studies (Lindzen, December 2007) states that all UN forecasts regarding climate sensitivity must be divided by three. There is no climate problem. The correct policy to deal with the problem is not having the courage to do nothing. The real problem of the 21st century lies in the “global warming”, but in the depletion of resources, from oil. Encourage your legislators to finally embarked on some real work and fought with it, “Christopher Monckton much

Conclusion

During debates on the topic of global warming is a good way to increase the angle of view into the past. Humanity has survived countless climate change – according to official science went naked homo sapiens from Africa to colonize the planet, and during that time, dressed in furs, he learned to build an igloo, survived the Ice Age, natural disasters of all kinds, including the Great Flood. It is a very resistant species. In interglacial times repeatedly disruptive cycles, the temperature gradually rises and then falls relatively quickly. Recently there was a sharp cooling around the year 800 BC, another sharp fall in temperature, certain authors around the year 540 AD, and finally the last is generally known, so-called Little Ice Age after 1350. Sharp drops in temperature have been associated with major natural disasters, but people on them if they could not sign.

The money being made by the left on the subject of global warming is maddening. They convince weak thinkers into believing in their cause, for two reasons.

Why is it, when there is an early frost, a small ice age brews in Arctic circle, or any other below zero temperatures happen a little before it is supposed to, the shills for global warming blame it on Volcano’s, earth quakes, or whatever reasons they can? When it warms up, like the Indian summer, early spring, or summertime, it is blamed on global warming?

Their science studies tell us, that the Earth will be hotter in or around a million years from now due to this global warming which we, our grand children, or our great grand children, will never be able to confirm or deny. The few who started this hoax, Al Gore and a few others, knew it would convince those followers to come forth and holler along with them. Billions of dollars have already been made by selling books, and collecting donations, and for what. If it is going to happen, it will, and no amount of money will stop it.

They blame it on carbon from factories, trucks, and cars. Emissions are not enough to change how Mother Nature does her thing. The last we knew, we had four seasons. Last winter, they had a global warming conference which was snowed out due to a blizzard in Washington D.C. So the chosen few, decided, they were going to be found out unless they changed the name from Global warming to Climate change. Earth to Gore, Summer, it gets hot, cools down in the fall, chills up in the winter and warms up again in the spring as we enter summer. These four seasons have been around since the dawn of time. I was asked why then are the ice caps melting. The ice caps melt all the time and always have been, and they freeze up too. Nature is such a wonder. If interested, when the time comes, I have some advise for you who believe, take off your coat.

Earthquakes? Blame it on global warming. Volcano’s? Blame it on global warming. Rain, global warming, snow, global warming, fear mongering, blame it on the left who created global warming.

Please, if you have a rebuttle, do it because I think talking about things is a grand way to solve things. Just holding it in will only cause you to explode somewhere down the road and then you will blame it on global warming.

Protection of the environment often conflicts with the progress of the mankind. A proper balance between the two is the need of the day.

The debate about protecting the environment even at the cost of progress has taken the centre stage recently. The so called environmentalists have become vociferous and are demanding stringent regulations for control of emission of carbon gases. The developing countries, which use comparatively a small percentage of natural resources, have been contesting these restrictions.

For countries in the developing stage, progress is of a high priority. They need additional land for production of food grains and shelter of their burgeoning population. This entails deforestation and extensive mining and drilling for valuable resources such as oil and coal.

This process of deforestation is causing climatic changes and global warming, according to the environmentalists. While this declaration is not disputed, the pertinent question is where the priorities should lie? For a nation in need of natural resources, it is progress and not the protection of the environment that is paramount. If the environment gets affected, so be it. These countries need to provide food, shelter and other basic amenities and lift millions above the poverty line.

The countries campaigning for protection of the environment are the one who use the earth’s resources to the maximum extent. The maximum gas guzzler cars are found in advanced countries like the USA and Europe.

Further, these countries do not use the natural resources available to them for saving the environment. Such actions have a domino effect and affect the countries less developed. Not exploiting the vast reserves of oil and natural gas in Alaska and oil yielding sands, in Canada, are cases in point. Had these resources been used, the oil prices would have come down considerably and helped the economies of other countries.

Global warming and climate change are made out to be large size monsters too difficult to handle. Today, technology has developed so much that cloud seeding to produce rain is exceedingly common. This year, the North America had the warmest winters in forty years, but it was none the worse due to this. Right now, Europe is going through regular snow storms etc. Tropical countries like India had severe winter causing several deaths. However, this climatic change was not something dreadful or unmanageable. It gave a warning to the governments to be prepared for next winter. The casualties can be minimized by constructing warm shelters for the homeless and street people.

Some of the effects of this climatic change were welcomed by people in certain parts of the world. In some states, in India, people had seen snowfall after fifty years and enjoyed the change in the weather. Children playing in snow and throwing snowballs at each other gladdened the hearts of the population.

Of course, major disasters like tsunamis, typhoons, tornados and twisters cause untold damage and destroy everything in their way. However, there is no empiric evidence to relate these disasters with climatic change. Secondly, technology has provided several means of giving warning of these disasters to enable the authorities evacuate people and minimize the damage. Today, the destruction and damage can be reduced, and the loss of human lives can be minimized.

As against this, famines or conditions close to near famines have been reported in some countries, in Africa. These famines cause more deaths than the natural disasters mentioned above. It is essential these countries be allowed to provide arable land and homesteads even if it means extensive deforestation.

Image via Wikipedia

Some countries are using alternative fuels instead of hydrocarbons. In the bargain, they are using millions of bushels of corn which could have been of immense use in food starved countries. Similarly, a few countries leave the land fallow and pay subsidies to the farmers just to ensure remunerative prices to farmers. Even a small country like Korea had consigned millions of apples as cattle food to maintain prices. This is grossly unfair as many countries would have gladly accepted this excess food produced.

The environmentalists come up with catchy slogans. The most popular being, “We have only one earth; let’s preserve it.” The space station maintained for the last few years shows the prospects of opening new areas for habitation in outer space. It is no hyperbole to say that man after finding adequate resources of water starts colonizing other planets in the near future. Earth is not the only planet for man to live in the coming years. The possibilities are immense.

In conclusion, environment needs to be protected but not at the cost of progress. Every nation should find alternative sources for the badly needed energy. The developed nations should take the lead, carry out extensive research and find affordable alternative sources of energy. The responsibility for this rests squarely on their shoulders, as they squandered the earth’s resources initially.

What about the fate of Earth in the event of a gradual warming as the Sun towards the end of his life as a white dwarf star?

Climate change and global warming is happening lately become one of the very significant effect in changing the condition of the Earth for decades and centuries ahead. However, what about the fate of Earth in the event of a gradual warming as the Sun towards the end of his life as a white dwarf star? Will the Earth survive, or whether this period will be the end of life of Earth?

Red Giant star. Artist’s impression. source: Universetoday

Billions of years from now, the Sun will expand into a red giant star. At that time, it will expand and swallow the Earth’s orbit. Will the Earth be swallowed by the Sun as Venus and Mercury? This question has been a long discussion among astronomers. Will life on Earth remains there when the sun into the White dwarfs?

Based on calculations performed K.-P. Schr ¨ oder and Robert Connon Smith, when the Sun becomes a red giant star, has exceeded even the equator of Mars distance. Thus, the entire planet in the Solar System will be swallowed by it. There comes a time when an increase in solar flux also increases the average temperature on Earth to a level that does not allow the biological mechanisms and other mechanisms of resistance to these conditions.

When the Sun enters the final stages of the evolution of life, he will experience a loss of mass through stellar winds. And when the sun grows (enlarges in size), it will lose mass so that the planets move around it spiral out. Again the question is how the Earth? Will the Sun is being expanded to take over the planets are moving spiral, or even Venus and Earth would escape from his clutches?

Our star is now on course for a grand minimum in output. This turn of events would threaten much colder summers, truly bitter winters and a marked shortening of the growing season fo crops.

It could be that the hype about man-made global warming faces an unwelcome challenge, because new temperature data just released has of shown that the planet has not warmed for the past 15 years, in point of fact.

The published figures, some climatologists say, suggest that the planet could even be heading for a mini ice-age. the last time this affected the UK, in the 17th century, there were frost fairs held on the frozen river Thames in London.

The claims are based on readings taken from over 30,000 measuring stations, issued without fuss by the University of East Anglia Climatic Research Unit and the Met Office, confirming that the rising trend in world temperatures ended in 1997, bucking the supposed trends of the past decades..

Leading climate scientists said that, after giving off, during the 20th century, unusually high levels of energy, our star is now on course for a grand minimum in output. This turn of events would threaten much colder summers, truly bitter winters and a marked shortening of the growing season for crops.

It is widely known that solar output cycles through an 11-year pattern, high numbers of sunspots recorded when the cycles peak, which – in the guise of Cycle 24 – is why the latest solar storm resulted in the aurora borealis being seen further south. Numbers of sunspots, however, are down 50% on 20th Century cycle peaks.

NASA and the University of Arizona analysts believe that magnetic-field measurements from beneath the sun’s surface suggest that Cycle 25, due to peak in 2022, will be a great deal weaker, so that this and future such events be as weak as, or even weaker than, the so-called Dalton minimum.

In that 30-year period, average temperatures in parts of Europe fell by 2C, though if the new solar energy slump were as deep as that which occurred between 1645 and 1715, many European rivers could quite conceivably freeze solid.

The Met Office however think that the impact of the sun on climate is far less than man-made carbon dioxide, and even if the sun output decreases until 2100, only a reduction in global temperatures of 0.08C would result, the reduction of solar activity levels insufficient to offset the dominant influence of greenhouse gases. As long as the greenhouse effect continues to have the same effect on the atmosphere, many climate scientists do not believe that such a big freeze is ever likely to happen.
