Ok, so today’s inexpensive date idea is basically a surprise for you both.

Write down all of the great date idea’s you have gleaned from this series, as well as any other inexpensive ideas you have come up with on your own, or found on my blog, and then grab a hat.

You’re going to drop all of these idea’s into the hat and then have a drawing. 

Let your date reach in and grab on date idea for you guys to implement that day. 

Or, if it is something fairly simple, why not grab two! 

Then you can have a sort of double duty date day.

Then, your only job is to get out there and get that date started together.

Have a wonderful time, and enjoy each other’s company, free from the stress of spending big bucks on some fancy dinner or theater show that neither of you are really able to afford.

Life is about enjoyment, not stress. 

It’s never necessary to spend a lot of money to have an enjoyable time with a person that you have feelings for. 

Anyone that demands it is probably pretty superficial, and may not even be the best fit for you and your future.

That being said, let’s get on with today’s super simple, but always popular date idea, that is perfect for those on a budget. Not to mention good for the soul, and the old karmic bank account!

Today’s inexpensive date idea is doing volunteer work together. There are tons of ways out there that you can volunteer your time to help those less fortunate than you. 

Check out your local paper to glean some ideas, and surf the net to find out where you can sign up for some volunteer opportunities.

So why volunteering as a date?  It’s simple. 

Giving back feels good, and giving back together, can feel even better. It’s a great way to spend some quality time together, see each others ‘true’ colors, and really connect on a deeper level than other, more superficial date ideas.

A great volunteer idea is to volunteer to provide some sort of entertainment at a local seniors community. 

This can span out into multiple, hilarious ‘planning’ dates where you can both plan out your act and do a bit of rehearsing before the big day.

You will get a kick out of doing something like that together, and the seniors will get a kick out of it as well! 

There is nothing like a few warm hearted seniors to teach the ‘young whipper snappers’ how life is really meant to be enjoyed.

And the best part?  It’s free! 

Well except for time expenditure, but that is what volunteering is all about, so that doesn’t really count.

You know the best dates are those that are planned on the fly, spontaneously and without too much forethought or effort put in. 

One of the best dates that I love to go on, and that are so easy and inexpensive to do, is enjoying a day at the beach. 

But before we get into that, please make sure you take the time and check out my blog and have a look at the very popular The Magic of Making up EBook if you like this series.

Now, the beach is an awesome thing. Not only does it not cost you a penny to enjoy, beyond perhaps parking and a bit of gas, it is communing not only with your date but with nature. 

That makes it a bonding experience worthy of regard, and one of my favorite types of dates.

So, the first thing you need to do is pack a picnic.  Think finger foods that are easy to eat, and you won’t mind too much if you find a bite of sand here or there! 

Make sure you pack a big blanket to spread out on, and don’t forget your sunscreen.

The next thing you want to pack is your little basket of sand toys. Nope, it’s not just for the kiddies; it’s now for you and your date as well. 

You are both going to work together and build a sand castle. Not just any old sand castle either, I am talking the full Monty with pillars, a moat, and whatever else your creative brains can think up.

This is a fun and inexpensive date worthy of note simply because building a sand castle together takes you back to that child like, carefree attitude you both once had as kids. 

It makes the day very enjoyable for both of you, and the possibilities for romance as the sun goes down are endless. 

Just don’t forget to pack a nice bottle of wine in your picnic; it will be the perfect topper to a perfect, inexpensive day.

Today’s inexpensive date idea gets lots of points for creativity. 

You have find a busy place to go and hang out and window shop. 

Think lots of people, and doesn’t cost a penny beyond maybe a coffee and a pretzel.

But first, allocate say 15 dollars each, and stop by the local thrift shop. 

Divvy up the cash and then both of you split up and pick out a wacky outfit for the other to wear, that doesn’t exceed your 15 dollar limit.

Maybe it’s a huge Mexican sombrero paired with a  wacky scarf that you find. 

Or maybe your date finds you a hideous lime green button down, with some clown shoes. Whatever you want, just look for the wackiest wearable items you can find for each other.

Then, once you have collected your gear, you can both get a laugh out of trying it all on for each other. 

Once you are all decked out, head off to that busy spot you previously scouted, dressed in your thrift store costumes, and get a kick out of all the hairy eyeballs and giggles you will get from the local passerby.

And believe me, you will get several if you did your job right! 

Think goofy and silly, and you will be right on track. This is a great way to enjoy an inexpensive date together, and have a good laugh. 

Sharing laughter is one of the best ways to bond with a person that I know of, so you really can’t go wrong!

Welcome to day 10 in this 15 part series on inexpensive date ideas!  Only 5 more to go after this one, so I better make them phenomenal ideas. 

Hopefully you have been having a blast up till now going on date after date with your lover, for pennies on the dollar.

Today’s tip for a great inexpensive date is a bit unique, but undoubtedly entertaining and won’t cost you a dime. 

The date is called Follow The Leader. 

Now you want to be careful to be as unobtrusive as possible lest you get thrown in jail for stalking some poor soul.

The idea is this…Pick someone out of the crowd on the street as you are both walking about town. 

Follow that person around until you are unable to follow them anymore. 

Then choose another person to follow, and repeat the exercise.  And so on, and so on. 

While this may not be the most ingenious way to go on a date, I guarantee you will both be laughing your butts off by the end of the day, and exhausted from following around a bunch of strangers all day! 

What if the person happens to turn around and spot you as you are following them?  Easy!  Simply duck into the nearest dark corner, and have a little kissing session. 

This is a fun and exciting way to spice up the day, and the ultimate in an inexpensive date since it is completely free. 

Life is meant to be enjoyed, and it is so easy to do if you’re daring enough to get a little creative, and FIND your fun.

Ok, so today’s inexpensive date idea is both fun, and bonding. It’s enjoying a hobby together! 

Hobbies are great because you can usually set up a regularly scheduled meet time, to enjoy your hobby with each other, and have an inexpensive date at the same time.

You can usually find classes offered in several different hobbies just by looking in your community paper. 

Choose something you will both enjoy, and it’s a win win! Some things that are popular are things like dance classes. 

Whether its ball room dancing, or hip hop or salsa, meeting each other a couple times per week to dance together can be a highly enjoyable time for the two of you.

If you are both into fitness and sports, perhaps you would rather take a fitness class together like kick boxing, or go on a running trail together.

Or if water sports are more you thing, go canoing or swimming together.

If you are both artistic it could be fun to take an art class like drawing or painting together. 

You can then use each other as subjects, and get a good laugh over who draws who most miserably! 

None of these ideas cost very much money, and all are a great way to bond and enjoy time together.

College Events!

College events are great because there are tons of free things that you can do with your lover that are both fun and entertaining. 

There are things like music recitals, art shows, guest lectures, as well as theatrical plays that usually have excellent performers. 

Also college bands put on concerts sometimes, which can be extremely entertaining for those that enjoy a good band experience.

Usually the quality of the entertainment is exceptional and there’s lots of variety with extremely talented performers.

But how do you find out about these wonderful events that are perfect for treating your date? 

Several ways actually.

You can find out about different college events by checking out the local newspaper, or if the college has a newspaper it will usually have a section for college events. 

Also message boards at the local university, or the campus website.

Usually they will have announcements about different events that are happening on campus that week or that month. 

The events are almost always open to the public and offer a great option for the budget minded who just want to have fun.

Depending on the size of the campus there may be fairly inexpensive places to stop and eat or you can always pack a picnic and share a meal in the campus courtyard.

Whatever makes the day most enjoyable for you and your partner is the best choice.

Today is a great day for inexpensive date ideas, don’t you agree?  You can view lots of them on my blog at How To Get Your Ex Back anytime you feel the need. 

Today though I have a great inexpensive date idea for you that you are going to love, and your date will too!

How about a trip to the zoo?!  Think about it, it’s the perfect inexpensive date. 

You get to walk around with your sweetheart, hold hands, exclaim over all the cute and not so cute animals together, and feed the goats.

Price of admission to your local zoo is usually a pretty nominal charge; I have yet to find entry to one for more than 10 bucks or so. 

You can pack a lunch and share a bit of the day together picnicking on some benches. Just don’t sit too close to the monkeys, they might throw poo at you!

Be sure to take your camera, so that you can snap candid’s of you both with all the neat animals you will see, and have a fellow zoo visitor snap a couple of you both together as well. 

It’s the perfect way to create yet another memorable day to add to your memory book you started on the last date.

Also, be sure to bring a light sweater as you never know if it might get a bit chilly as evening creeps up on you. 

When the day is done and the stars come out, it is then the perfect time to end the date with a bit of star gazing and sharing a few kisses.

Ok, today’s great inexpensive date idea is fun!  The only requirement is you need a digital camera, nothing fancy, I am sure you or your date has one already. 

Of course you can still do this with a regular 35 mm or pick up a disposable camera, but it’s much more fun when you can see the results of your handiwork.

So for today’s date you are going sightseeing around your town or neighborhood with your date.  Whether it’s a walk through your local park, or a stroll through your down town area, just walk around, chit chat and people watch. 

While you’re at it, eyeball things and snap some pictures as you go.

You can each take turns snapping pictures and then compare on whose is the best angle or light or who captured the moment perfectly. 

And of course part of the fun is snapping pictures of each other!  You can make silly photo’s, or more proper ones, whichever strikes your fancy.

It’s also fun to take snapshots of you both together, or ask a fellow stroller to snap a couple pictures of you both together. 

Cap the evening off with a stop by your local Starbucks for a nice coffee or milkshake and you are both golden for less than the price of a pizza! 

When you’re done, you can get the pictures printed out and create a memory album of your date together to remember the wonderful day you had.

While it may not always be as glamorous as other date options, you definitely won’t be lacking in the fun department!

Ok, on to the dating stuff!  Today’s inexpensive idea is to snag one of those nifty two for one coupon books you can find in places. 

Most cities will have a local area coupon book you can grab that has some great two for one deal inside of it.

For instance many local coupon books have deals for miniature golfing where you get discounts on admission or equipment rentals.

Or you can find coupons for 10- 15 percent off your next meal at a local restaurant. 

If you live in a tourist area you will likely find coupons for discounts on admissions to local theme parks, or for movie tickets, two for the price of one. 

Depending on where you live, you can find some really great deals in local coupon books that can reduce your dating costs greatly and still allow you both to have a fun time together.

And in most cases your date will understand about using discounts, and if you both decided to go Dutch then I am certain they will not only understand but appreciate the ways to save a bit of cash and still enjoy your company.

See?  Dating isn’t so bad.  Nor does it have to be expensive!
