With socialist leaders in Greece fanatically seeking the Financial Transaction Tax, and the global mood gradually turning against speculative practices, the voices advocating such a tax are bound to become louder. Unfortunately, such half baked ideas, with little theoretical or empirical support can cause immense damage, far more than the Euro region can afford at the current juncture.
