Middle School dating is not like high school or adult dating.

You can’t drive. This limits the possibilities, and makes things a bit less romantic when you pull up in the mom van.
Drama is really all there is to it. Does he like me or her? How many girls has he kissed? She’s only flirting with him because I like him. I don’t want to be friends with her because she keeps flirting with him. Why does he like her? I’m so much prettier!
Most middle schoolers are not allowed to actually date, so everything is done in groups. Fun times.

The trick to dating in middle school is to just have fun; you don’t have to be all romantic, and you can date someone totally wrong for you without worrying that someone will get attached. Here’s a few tips to having fun and not getting hurt:

Don’t kiss a guy that you aren’t in love with. You don’t need the practice; you’ll figure it out when you need to. If you’re eleven and someone tells you you’re pretty, ask yourself if you know his middle name, his birthday, and his favorite school subject. If you can’t answer all three correctly, I guarantee you, you are not in love.
Go bowling. The movies get old, and you aren’t really socializing.
Feel special, but don’t go crazy over a guy telling you you’re hot. His hormones are just now kicking in; anything with boobs is hot.
Don’t ever try to date more than one person at a time. Just because adults do it, doesn’t mean you can. Middle school boys get very attached, even if it’s not an official relationship, so it would break his heart.
Don’t cheat. Ever. There is no point; just break up with the other guy.
If it’s not working, dump him. Don’t worry about upsetting him, just be polite, say it to his face, and let him down gently. Don’t hold out to spare his feelings.
Guys: Cologne is good, but if a girl does not like to point out how great you smell, or you get multiple comments from girls telling you they can smell you from ten feet away, tone it down some. A spray or two is plenty.
Love notes are adorable, but be sure to hold onto them and write them in code if you don’t want the teacher or the dude who sits in your seat next period to read them.
Lastly, don’t let your hormones get ahead of themselves. He’s not worth it, yet.

Following the Dress Code

In high school, dress codes are really more like guidelines that teachers can use to get you in trouble if they don’t like you or you are letting everything that no one wants to see hang out. In middle school, however, a lot of teachers are actually big on following the rules whether they like you or not. Middle school teachers like rules; it’s the only way they can take out their frustration on all the students they have to deal with, and it keeps things a little bit ordered. If you’re worried about looking cute, here’s some ways to work around the dress code:

If you’re required to tuck in hoodies, either buy the tight-fitted name brand ones, or don’t wear them. You’ll look like a retard.
Belts can actually be cute accessories; you can find sparkly or trendy ones at the mall. Don’t wear your dad’s old dorky one.
When tucking in a loose-fitted shirt, just tuck in the ends and let the rest fold over. This still counts as tucked in, and doesn’t look dumb.
If your shirt is too low, wear a cami under it. It still looks cute, I swear. You don’t need to be showing off your mosquito bites to get guys to like you.
If you wear your shorts like low-riders, they look longer. (DISCLAIMER: Cheer shorts will always be too short, sorry.)
Wear cute colorful leggings under your holey jeans.
You don’t have to tuck in dresses. If you can find one that meets the length requirement, don’t be afraid to wear it when you want to look cute.

Hairstyles That Don’t Fail

The Classic: Ponytail. Brush you hair, flip your head over, and pull it into a ponytail. Make sure you brush out any awkward bumps. If you have curly frizzy hair, never put it in a low ponytail. The high one is much cuter.
The Clip: With a big clip, pull your hair into the shape of a low ponytail, twist it together, flip it up, and put the clip around the twisted part. Works best if your hair is not short, but also not down to your waist.
Bobby pins, little clips, barrettes: One on each side, or just one side. Or, you can pull a piece to the back of your head from both sides. Try to keep them even, and make sure you use enough bobby pins to keep it in place.
Braids: One braid, or pigtails. The best way to go about braids depends on your hair, but I’ve actually found that simple pigtail braids tucked behind my ears make my curls behave better, and work great with hats. Try to keep them even and don’t leave big chunks out accidentally. Or, just get someone to braid for you.

A stereotype? Maybe. But scholars give us an explanation rather interesting, and justify all these traits as signals that communicate to humans instinctively good health and reproductive capacity of women who own them. An interesting article appeared in “Psychology Today” lists the physical characteristics that seem to attract the attention of men, and their meaning. Communicating health of the (long hair would indicate a long period of good health), younger age (light hair naturally, considering the fact that hair tends to darken with age, big breasts high and firm), its fertility ( long legs and narrow hips, which would indicate the presence of amounts of hormones in favor of playing) its availability (it would seem clear that the eyes enable it easier to find the pupil dilation that occurs in certain situations emotionally significant).

Gone are the long and relaxed wavy locks and in its place sits a hairstyle that Victoria Beckham would be envious of; a sleek and glossy graduated bob.

It would appear that Eva Longoria short hair is all the rage these days with thousands of women choosing to recreate one of the main short styles that the classy lady has been seen wearing. From the shoulder length bob that she wore sleek and glossy to the graduated bob that has been her most recent look, the style is taking hold thick and fast.

There are many ways in which one could wear either of these styles and Eva Longoria has proved this by having her shoulder length bob worn short and curly, pulled back at one side with a pretty clip for a more feminine appeal and then worn straight and sleek with a centre parting for a more professional “power woman” appeal.
