What is wisdom? But first, what are the conditions that render it desirable, if not necessary, and what is its essential purpose?

What is wisdom? But first, what are the situation that render it desirable, if not necessary, and what is its essential reason?

Life is a yearn to reside, and better still a desire to reside joyously. As we strive to satisfy this yearns, we encounter obstacles that perplex or frustrate our efforts. This difficulty or annoyance allowances to pain because it stands in the way of satisfaction.

Wisdom is designed to help us contend with this suffering. It is an adaptive product of cause in the face of strong circumstances. Thanks to it, joyfulness is conceivable and achievable in spite of everything. It is thus the supreme good.

Actually, religion is a good that numerous grade equally high, since it serves the identical reason as wisdom, if distinctly. The difference lies in the way belief and wisdom depict suffering and characterize the meaning of life.

From the perspective of religion, pain betrays a state of worldly imperfection that is in contradiction with the human yearn for perfect joyfulness. Consequently, life here underneath – where humans are condemned to suffer – is absurd in itself. Or rather, life is significant strictly in terms of means to a fantastic end in the large after: A life of virtue organizes the way for an afterlife of bliss. The religious accept as true this in agreement with the teachings of an motivated religious foremost, who assertions to know the transcendental environment of the hereafter.

While personally I cast a skeptical eye on these teachings, I keep my brain open. They are highly doubtful, but the transcendental environment of their object places them after the come to of any discredit founded on conclusive clues.

anyhow, as I glimpse it, wisdom is independent of belief, though it can complement the latter. According to it, life in itself has significance, regardless of its imperfection that people can discover to accept. Better still, they can discover to worth this imperfection as they recognize that perfection, contrary to well liked conviction, is not infinitely attractive.

Indeed, flawless happiness leaves certain thing to be desired. By delineation, it omits pain and therefore all forms of complication or frustration. It supposes that attenuating factors are wholeheartedly favorable – that is, not strong in any way. Thus, no effort is essential while every dream is likely. At first glimpse, this noise like the most magnificent position imaginable, and yet taking another gaze at it will dispel this illusion.

What odd whim, in the annals of humankind, has compelled persons from every stroll of life to depart their cozy dwelling and embark on risky projects? Perhaps this whim is not so odd after all. A multitude of conquests have been made for the sheer joy of conquering against large odds. The operative phrase is pride, accompanied by exhilaration. To conquest-minded persons the infinite alleviate of heaven entails infinite boredom. To them life – simultaneously with the struggle that is integral to it – is the very thing that flawless happiness departs to be desired. It is an opportunity to verify courageous and victorious, though it is furthermore a risk of falling short painfully.

Joyfulness is about grasping this opportunity with bravery and profiting a victory over the obstacles that stand between us and achievement in all the activities that most issue to us. This victory is often strenuous and always restricted, precarious, and transitory, and we are bound to lose the battle in the end; but that makes the triumph all the more prized and worthy of savoring.

When endeavoring to characterize the undertakings in which we most care to do well, we are compelled to study our environment to know our reason. Our growing shrewd depends on this study and this information, leading to this definition. It begins with a perception of our animal will to endure, as survival is the base on which life, in the truly human sense, is constructed. The awareness of life in this sense follows. It takes into account both our humanity and our individuality, as constituents of society with specific flavors and abilities to which a broad variety of undertakings are matched.

The clearer we are about our reason, the more we can live our lives with conclusion and passion, and so with a larger possibility of doing well and accomplishing happiness. The reverse is equally factual. It thus stands to cause that in striving after wisdom we lay the groundwork for achievement and happiness.

This is a simple essay on the love from others being our motivation to live.

Somewhere out there in this complicated world is someone or someones who think you are a great joy. Interacting with you brings them happiness and fills there hearts with joy. Just being in close proximity to you brings them happiness.

In my life there have been several people like the one I described above. Her beautiful brown eyes and her shinny bright smile would fill my heart with joy. We did not have to talk. I just enjoyed being in her presence.

I am writing this article to answer the question of those in psychological distress of “why should I bother”. I know that when we are experiencing distress we tend to be isolated and only think of ourselves.

However, stop and think of the people who love you. There are many. If you weren’t around, they would be very sad.

Lets look at everything that is required to keep a person a live. On average and adult needs 1800 to 2200 calories a day to be healthy. The food groups should be vitamins, proteins, good fats, and minerals. Its not hard to find which foods are for vitamins and so forth.

A person needs eight hours of restful sleep. This results in a rested heart and rested mind.

There should be average of eight glasses of water 8 ounces each. This cleans out the kidneys and keeps the body lubricated.

Peace, joy, and love is a better life experience. I have written before that Positivism, Optimism, Realism, being grateful, friends, family, spouse, romance, intimacy, are the way to a enjoyable and pleasurable life.

Now, I have no allusion or delusion that by me just typing in my life philosophy people will understand and practice what I believe. It takes years of practice to replace bad attitude with a good and positive attitude.

However, think of it this way. When you realize that there are good rewards from life, you see life in a different manner.

You will sleep, eat, and enjoy people’s company. Therefore, you will practice a healthy lifestyle and life will more bearable if not a right down joy.

In know we would like to think we are an island amongst our self. Life cannot be a fuller experience without people.

Okay, so the modern world has made us isolated. Most of this isolation has to do with the modern ideology of people are troublesome and we must stay away from people.

Yes some people are experiencing challengers they cannot overcome. In addition, it is smart to avoid people who are going to cause us problems. However, not all people are trouble.

Let me say that the idea for this paper started permeating my brain is the last three days. During this time I was exposed to the movie Pay it Forward. I had heard of this movie. However, I suspected it would be a foolish movie, not dignant of my superior intelligence.

I was right. Let me tell you the storyline. A 11 year old son of an alcoholic mother, who has been involved with an abusive man, goes out to make a difference in a homeless man’s life after his teacher gives the student a class assignment to go out and make a difference in their world. The movie ends with the now 12 year old boy dying after being stabbed by a classmate. May I say foolish-Hollywood-dribble.

Okay, some of you who watched the movie may say I am being to harsh. I was rather critical of the movie Pursuit of Happiness. See, media can entertain, educate, or inform. The social lessons preached by this movie are not lessons that will make a positive contribution to society.

We are all aware of the plight of the homeless and those who abuse alcohol and drugs. Therefore, the movie has no educative or informative value.

It did not entertain me. I like happy endings. Could it be that there are no happy ending in life because none exist in media?

Well that is to detrimental and defeatist. There are happy endings in real life. Media producer believe they will get a better income generation is they skirt the edges of depravity.

Another media source I had exposure to while developing this article National Geographic Channels’ “Drugs, Inc”. In this program I saw people who are homeless and killing them selves every day with their addiction.

I have simple notes to offer on this drug program. Never listen to a criminal about his motives for crime. I find the automatic label of “a poor person just trying to survive” troublesome. I like the label of “manipulative person who finds easy profit in crime” a better label.

Okay, now how do these media products fit in to this article? There are many ways that we can destroy ourselves. Many of us spend a lot of energy pursuing these practices.

In addition, for a long time I have known that life is a rather torturous experience for many. I do believe there are “forces unseen” that are trying to destroy us.

However, no one controls our thoughts. We can see things in the negative. We also have the opportunity of being realistic and optimistic. Again, I say thoughts influence emotions and emotions influence behavior. We are bummed out because we have bummed ideas.

If we want to have joy and happiness, we need to have joyful and happy ideas. We cannot spend our day in negativity and expect to feel good.

Therefore, this is a simple essay on everyday health. Every day we eat, sleep, and relax. Everyday, we spend time with happy people. Every day we practice positivism and realism and being grateful. Therefore, when we are burned out and wonder why keep going, we should say to ourselves that we bother for the child who loves us and every one else who loves us.

An account of a near miss and my thoughts at that moment.

Today I was nearly in a wreck. When it happen I was on the side of the vehicle that would have taken all the impact. Just where I was seated in fact would have taken the hit. Both drivers stopped in time to avoid the collision. But at the moment before; I was suddenly wondering what happens next? I saw the on coming truck; looked into the drivers surprised face…. I was calm in that moment. I knew I was loved. The people in my life knew I loved them. That would have been my last thought. I always wondered what it would be. “I told them I loved them.” That was it.

I wasn’t worried if anyone would wonder. Though I am not in a relationship (romantic) I am loved. Just before leaving home I told my son I loved him. He replied saying he loved me. I had spoken to my sister and niece the night before, so they knew I loved them. I had posed it to my Facebook. There were no doubts in our minds. I hadn’t wondered if I would think about such a thing as that ;at a moment such as that but I did. I was content.

I had always told my family members I loved them on occasion of course. But in this last year of my life I have begun to say it everyday. I can honestly say it was because of someone I met. He told me everyday after he declared his love; that he loved me. I use to wonder at it. I wondered why he said it so much. It made me uncomfortable in the beginning. I had always believed unfoundedly if you say it so much it makes one suspicious. Why are you saying it, kind of like, “What did you do?” mentality.

Then I begin to like hearing it. It made me feel good, special…to knew someone felt such emotion and depth of feeling for me. This person use to play a song everyday for me as well. The song explained why he told me this everyday. He said for as long as we were together and after he wanted me to know he had loved me. As I said I had never thought about how those words change our lives. They can blind us or open our eyes.

Some of us think it’s not important to say you love someone other then family or a lover. Whomever is important to you. We may feel “Well they know it already. I’ve said it before.” Well let me tell you it is important! For you to say it, for you to hear it. It is a natural need fulfilled to give and receive love. Not just actions and but verbal acknowledgement are so very vital.

I can tell you if I had died I would have been content to know I had spoken my love to the ones love. They would have the last memory of me: telling them how much they meant to me. I would have had the same. It was a validation that I was grateful for them in my life. Wither we admit it or not we all seek some form of validation. When we hear the words “I love you”, it sets off a chemical reaction in us that says “YES!” I am special to not only to myself, but to someone else in this journey.

I say I love you everyday now because of him. I may not get the chance to do it again tomorrow. I don’t want anyone that cares for me to wonder if I loved them. It was my comfort in that moment. It was my number one on my bucket list. I love to hear those words and I love to say them. If you love them tell them. Its simple. All the material stuff matters a damn if there is no love. Love is manna to us humans; admit it or not.

I've found in my practice that so many of my clients are so dulled to, or even divorced from their own feelings and inner life that they actively choose to hold on to unhappiness rather than see it as the toxic aspect of their lives that is MAKING them unhappy, not even aware that they're choosing, "The Devil we know..." from the one they don't... and can neither move on in their lives, nor heal from emotional, spiritual, and even intellectual wounds and real damage or injury, choosing unhappiness and depression over the risks they need to take to allow the changes in their lives that they crave and pray for.

It is rational to fear the unknown. Encountering it may result in our suffering – or our death – from our inability to live with or survive whatever it is.

Therefor, only one who is careless of his or her life… or a fool… approaches, let alone openly seeks out, welcomes, and embraces the unknown wholeheartedly and without caution.

This is not the same as those rare, extreme, but nonetheless real moments in our living and exploration of life when we may be faced with having to choose between the certainty of destruction or death on the one side, and the unknown, which may hold out at least the possibility of success and life on the other…

… those (hopefully few) times in one’s life when hope must, and rationally does, rule against caution in choosing the unknown, our doing so then coming from our thrust FOR life, being at those moments the only – and coldly logical – choice to be made to HAVE a chance to live by experiencing the glory of a miracle in random chance… or the Universe’s (or God’s, if you prefer) blessing… instead of the sureness of non-existence.

But in our everyday lives, what is much more often the case is that we hold on to many things that make us unhappy because, for bad or worse, they are familiar and have become “home” to us… the place inside and outside us to which we have become accustomed or inured (which is often a palpable dullness), but are at least certain that they exist… fearing that to venture outside of and beyond what we know simply for the sake of what only MAY be is to risk that the unhappiness, and the awareness that we feel that we somehow don’t “fit” well in our life as we’ve come to know it, may get even worse, that we might not even be able to return to living even with the degree of unhappiness we’ve become used to and know that we can at least live with (despite our discontent)…

… and prove to us NOT that our hopes for the existence of “better” may be real, but that our fears that we cannot… and will NEVER… experience the happiness and joy that our souls innately know and so BELIEVE life is capable of containing for us are (real)…

… causing the loss of all hope… which we fear would be the death of our soul.

In that way, accepting unhappiness in our lives and becoming content with it is to live by a compromise with our desire for happiness, a kind of wager with our souls, clinging to the hope that we may yet find or achieve happiness, but doing so ONLY by never risking loss of it by ever actually seeking it out and possibly not finding it, or, having found it, finding that it doesn’t last as long as our unhappiness does.

And therein lie the half-lived and continually unhappy lives of countless many…

.. existing in the purgatory of the misery of life, while believing that they may be avoiding something worse, Hell… which is to live with the soul’s having died…

… by never taking the chance – in any way other than in our dreams – to be more fully alive, to look for and possibly find and live our dreams, and to soar.

It is no wonder, then, that depression makes us want to sleep…

… depression being so often the sadness and frustration of feeling only partly alive and hopelessly “lost” without enough of a functioning sense of ourselves and who, and what we are (which is the inner flame of our souls) to even know where to LOOK for happiness and fulfillment… let alone find it.

HUMAN LIFE : A BLESSING & A CURSE DEPENDING UPON YOUR MINDSET

What is mind. What’s the role and importance of mind in our day to day life. How we

relate and what is the role of mind in our life. This is very important to know.

Human mind is very delicate and complex. Brain is not the only part of our mind

but some other entities like heart, soul, experience, wish and will also influence our

mindset. Sometimes our brain guides us to do a particular thing in a particular way

but we do exactly the opposite. Schizophrenia is nothing but a conflict between

various states of mind. Except brain no other constituent of mind is known till day. Even

any other factor associated with human body which has some impact or

control over our thinking is not proven yet.

Mind has no shape or form. It is not a thing to be seen with eyes. We can only

understand and feel it. Mind is responsible for all our sorrows and joys. We can

revolutionalise our life and surroundings if only we can understand our mind

completely. Mind never rests. It passes through various stages but no stage is stable.

To understand the how to live and the very purpose of life,we have to first understand

our mind.

Conscious Mind : The first and foremost stage of mind is conscious mind. This is a

state of mind which continuously thinks about past and future. This mind hardly and

slightly lives in present. But the real and true life is in the present and not in the past or

future. This is a solid and somewhat bitter truth. We feel as if we are living but the

true/real fact is that we pass our entire life by remaining away from the present.

Conscious mind wastes a lot of our body’s energy and mental sickness is also

associated with this. Anger, fear, tension, anxiety all develop in our conscious mind. In

this stage of mind the speed of thoughts is very fast. Different thoughts occupy and

surround our mind all the time. Due to pressure of these thoughts we become mentally

sick. Psychiatrists too agree that 80% of diseases and sicknesses are mental and can

be stopped even before developing and appearance of signs and symptoms.

If not all,99% human beings live in conscious mind forever during their entire life and

this very fact is the reason behind our all pains and sorrows.

Sub-conscious Mind : The second stage of mind is the sub-conscious mind and this

mostly works when we are asleep. Dreams come out from this stage of mind. There are

many other reasons for dreams but the dreams of sub-conscious mind are always

fear full and meaningless.

Un-coscious Mind : The next stage is unconscious mind. The person who first

discovered and understood the functioning of this mind has immensely and hugely

contributed to the life of human beings only by making it understandable. This is nine

times larger than the conscious mind. In this mind the baseless and meaningless

thoughts and ideas are rare. So it do not wastes our energy. The man who realizes and

understands this mind feels more fit and contented. Such persons usually live alone and

are always]happy. Poets, writers, philosophers normally live in this stage. Pious and just

motivation and innovative ideas begin from this mind. In this mind things mostly happen

without logic. We can’t clearly demarcate conscious and unconscious mind. The

unconscious mind is the state/stage of mind hidden behind the conscious mind.

In reality both these states of mind can mix with each other. We do it and the way

is also very easy. Whatever we decide in our conscious mind becomes practical and

gets completed only when it reaches the unconscious mind. This is the reason that we

can’t leave our vices and bad habbits easily because we try to get rid of them in

conscious state of mind which is very small comparatively. We can never overcome or

over rule our unconscious mind. Whenever there is a fight between these two

states, unconscious mind always emerge victorious. Sexual desire also develops in

unconscious mind and can’t be stopped so easily. So conscious mind can win only by

following the unconscious mind. This is a very pity situation. We think ourselves very

intelligent and understanding but when subconscious and unconscious minds overcome

our thoughts and decisions, our no logic or intelligence works. Try to understand your

entire inner self as much as you can. At the initial stage you will only see darkness

inside you but slowly it will start vanishing. Due this initial experience a kind of fear

develops and we can’t sit, understand and concentrate about deepest states of

unconscious mind because it doesn’t allow us to do so.

Mind continues to think all the time and making it blank even for a fraction of a second is

not easy. Both conscious and unconscious mind are makers of lowest levels of our

present life.

Enlightened Mind : This is a stage of mind which is above the conscious state

and equals the unconscious state. When someone reaches this stage of mind, the

deepest realities of life become clear like death, love, agony and emotions.

Cosmic Mind : We can call this state of mind which thinks beyond general and

common things. It thinks beyond life, death, birth and worldly things. We can also call it

a saints mind. This mind thinks beyond normal human thoughts. According to

Guru Nanak, the first Sikh guru, this is the state of mind which should be called “fully

conscious”.

We have discussed five stages of mind namely

Conscious, Sub-conscious, Unconscious, Enlightened and Cosmic or Saint’s

mind. Conscious mind is the state which is mostly known to us. If we move even below

conscious mind, it will lead to darkness and degradation of life. If we move upwards, the

picture of life becomes more clear. We can move both ways because the way/path is

the same. This thing needs understanding. Going there is easy. We know the way but

we have forgotten it. Still we can easily find the way only if we have the will and the wish

to find and follow it.

These states of mind differentiate us from animals. Human life is greatest of all other

lives known to us which are present on the planet earth.

The human life is a glory, a blessing and a curse, all depending upon our mindset.

Humor is indeed the best medicine there is whenever you are. I mean anyone can pay good money to listen to a comedian just to make you wet your pants after laughing so hard. Despite of what's been happening, and to those who has gone though the ordeal, it's better to just laugh while facing the troubles with a clear mind than anger with a clouded vision.

1. “Money is better than poverty, if only for financial reasons.” It sounds good to me, I mean the practicality of all things does involve money but it doesn’t have to take an arm and a leg to get it.

2. “I believe there is something out there watching us. Unfortunately, it’s the government.” ‘Nuff said.

3. “There are worse things in life than death. Have you ever spent an evening with an insurance salesman?” This happens to be one of the classic ones. I mean the issue about life’s little problems isn’t all that bad, until ‘he’ shows up.

Sure, relationships can get complicated, or does have its complications that probably any author about relationships is bound to discover it soon. We follow what our heart desires, unless you’re talking about the heart as in the heart that pump blood throughout your body.

4. “Love is the answer, but while you’re waiting for the answer, sex raises some pretty interesting questions.” And if you want more, just keep on asking!

5. “A fast word about oral contraception. I asked a girl to go to bed with me, she said ‘no’.” It sounds, ‘practical’, I think.

And when it comes to everyday life, he really knows how to make the best out of every possible scenario, and it doesn’t involve a lawsuit if he strikes a nerve.

6. “Basically my wife was immature. I’d be at home in the bath and she’d come in and sink my boats.” I never had a boat in my bathtub before. Just staring at it while soaking in hot water makes me seasick already.

7. “I am not afraid of death, I just don’t want to be there when it happens.” If it rains, it pours.

8. “I am thankful for laughter, except when milk comes out of my nose.” It could get worse when you’re guzzling on beer… or mouthwash, and it happened to me once!

9. “If you want to make God laugh, tell him about your plans.” At least he doesn’t smite us with lightning, and I’m thankful for that.

And despite of what may happen to all of us in the next ten, twenty, or even thirty years, I guess we all have to see things in a different kind of light and not just perspective. I can’t seem to imagine life without any piece of wisdom that could guide us. Whether we’re religious or not, it takes more courage to accept your fears and learn how to deal with them is all that matters when it comes to even just getting along.

And to sum things up, here is the last nugget of wisdom to go by… however, whenever, and wherever we may be.

10. “The talent for being happy is appreciating and liking what you have, instead of what you don’t have.”

The Way of Love

Love is not a choice; it is a state of being. Love is not a prerrogative of the human condition; love is inherent in our being, as it is justice or mercy and faith, which are all manifestations of love. Because love is the completion of being, and it is said it is the fulfillement of all law. You cannot choose love as much as you cannot choose to have brown or blue eyes; it all comes with the package. Love is particularly the highest manifestation of virtue and wisdom.

If love were considered a choice, life would be a problem, and so it is, because we think we must pick and choose love, or reject it. The difficult questions of life, those that arise with every human flaw, have their root in our choices as human beings. No matter how long a time we get to make our choice, we would always miss the mark, because between love and hate, there is a miryad of lesser, incipient feelings. And what is less than love is double mindedness. And so we are, unless we become aware of the problematic, and go to the roots.

Going to the roots of the problem is going to the depths of humility, where we have our being.

There is in the human being three known states of being: conscious, subconscious and unconscious. Solving a problem doesn’t finish it, because we have simply arrived to the conclusion, after so and so experiences, that we have a problem where it is difficult for us to love in deed and truth. This, precisely, allows us to remain looking at the problem from different angles; and this looking, just this turning the problem around, will not allow the problem to be relegated to the subconscious.

As soon as we –who have an unsolved problem– allow it to fall into the subconscious, we are relegating it to our history of unsolvable problems. On the other hand, there was never a problem that went for long without a solution if we just kept an abstract looking at it without thought, without valuing its pros and cons, or seeking to bring any solutions. We need to have the intention to relax in it as much as possible. And we shall see, eventually, what happens. We should want to do it daily.

Because any problem that becomes subconcious is half way to become obliterated by the deluge of our past, unsolved problems, due to our incapacity to pay attention without our history of complains about the issue at hand. We so much choose to do something more convincing, something more akin to our ego necessities that feelings of love and justice and mercy do not fit in the picture. We usually want to judge others without a clear mind and heart, and that is counterproductive to our mental sanity.

But love is so persistent and enormously powerful that from time to time, as we find a moment of respite, of anonimity, of peace and quiet, it will find a way to appear, sporadically so, quietly, so quietly that it will go unnoticed at first.

But with all our greed, anger and fear in which we live nowadays, usually it is quite natural that our unobservant ways of love, will become a simple dramatism we will flash at the soap opera, or the movie, where we can shed a tear or two. And those feelings will be short of love; they will be tainted instead with all the gamut of selfish desires and lower passions the soap opera personages will flare up in our subconscious.

As the lack of love in our lives aggravate this way, the problem is relegated to the universal unconscious. It is in this unconscious where all the good, and the bad and the ugly reside. Without enough help, without a guide, any human being that might dare to go into the deep and dark waters of the unconscious, would easily get lost, forever.

Nevertheless, there is help. Meditation provides the necessary help to go into the unconscious and bring up the power of love in our lives. For there is a Spirit in man –and woman–, resilient, immensely powerful enough to rescue us from the unsconcious every time we go in meditation. The purpose of this Spirit of Christ is to help us learn to remain conscious in the depths of the unconscious. Every time we would get paralyzed by the fear, or by the anger or by the greed we might encounter during our meditation, when we go deep into the “waters” of the unconscious, we would come up instead with new insight, new and renovated equanimity, and of course new frontiers, for we have been expanding our dominions during meditation. Remember: we are learning to remain conscious even in the depths of the universal unconscious.

Moreover, our guide on the path of meditation, who has been the Spirit of Christ, or the Spirit of God, has been marking the terrain, as ours. For everytime we would go into meditation, we will find that we can remain conscious and in equilibrium whenever we get to face the problem that used to bother us in the beginning.

Nevertheless, we won’t solve any problems by striving to find a solution; but by accepting the riddle or problem as part of life. It is when we stop just “seeking” for solutions, and instead we become accepting the Spirit of Christ in our lives, accepting the will of God. It is only then, that we have become a human being in all the essential, pure meaning of what that signifies, truly.

It is only then that we might have enough “presence” to act without attachments, and even though the outcome would not be what we may have expected, still we would be able to see the problematic without any suffering on our part. That doesn’t mean we would become indifferent to people and things, but we would be able to relax in the face of adversity, and without any self pity or personal suffering.

Of course, we will keep our feelings intact –love is a feeling too–, and we would still be able to care and feel love and compassion for others, even though without any undue dramatism.

Women

This is a chapter that I wrote in bits and pieces out of one of my practice books.

How do you feel much of the time? Happy, sad, strong, moody, depressed, OK most of the time?

How you feel much of the time, is extremely important. Suppose you have a great job, two cars, a closet full of pretty clothes, extra spending cash and tons of friends. But let’s just say that you are unhappy most of the time. Well, if you are unhappy most of the time, then how can you enjoy that great job, your pretty clothes and your two cars and your friends?

Suppose you are poor, homely, and unemployed. But let’s say that you are feeling happy, even on top of the world! That is what really matters.

In my life, I have associated with a lot of people. I have mingled with people who have great jobs, breath taking houses, three cars and lots of money. But sadly so, those people with all that silver and gold, are not happy.

I have also mingled with people who are far less lucky, including homeless people who feel good much of the time and have a good sense of well being.

You can be the Queen of the USA and still be unhappy.

In this chapter, I will help people who are poor in spirit feel better about them selves and their lives.

The first thing is diet and exercise. When you eat a well balanced diet, especially vitamins highly enriched with B vitamins, you will feel better. Drink lots of water and exercise. At least ten minutes per day. You are likely to have a good sense of self, with these suggestions, than plopping your self in front of the TV all day and manipulating the remote

This is why I have developed an exercise for you, a pleasure list.

Here we go.

Pleasure

My kids, helping others, reading, swimming, taking long walks, working.

Do this exercise every day that is written on your list. And add more positive things to your list as time goes on.

Just remember that well being does not work for some of you. You have to work at it.

So do I. So what? Here are several reasons why being single is better than trapped in a terrible relationship, or stuck in the past memories.

You might still feel sad after the break up, or being left by your loved one. There’s nothing wrong with being sad. It’s okay, because it’s natural. So, give yourself sometimes to feel sad, but give it a deadline. When the deadline is over, you’ll see that there were so many things about being a single which are much better than trapped in a terrible relationship or stuck in the past memories.

Not that easy?

People often describe being single as an unhappy experience. Never believe in what they say, for happiness is within yourself. It’s up to you whether you want to be happy or sad, whether you are single or not. You might be forced to be single, but you still have other options; would you prefer being a happy single, or the sad one?

Look at yourself

Check on the mirror. How do you look like? Do you like it or not?

Many people forget to take care of their self when they’re in a relationship, for they’re too busy taking care of their loved one. Now that you don’t have anyone to take care of, it’s time to get yourself together.

One left, more to go

Being single doesn’t have to make you alone, or lonely. Many people even have so much more time to catch up and have fun with their friends, families or relatives after they’ve returned to their single life.
