		<description><![CDATA[Think for a second. Honestly. Wouldn't you rather have a burger with fries than celery, even with blue cheese?]]></description>
			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><i>This is old as injustice and known to everybody, but I keep wondering why isn&#8217;t life fair and healthy food tasty. Or at least tastier.</i></p>
<p><i>If something is good for you, wouldn&#8217;t it be awesome if it was so good you would want to eat it regularly? Think about vegetables. In taste terms they are fine, but they are not drive-you-nuts good. Compare them with french fries, and I note the irony that potatoes are vegetables, but when you fry them out goes the healthy part of them, don&#8217;t you think?</i></p>
<p><i>You don&#8217;t have to say it, unhealthy food rocks. And if you say it doesn&#8217;t or if you swear you would rather eat healthy food, more likely than not you are lying. Lying to me, or lying to yourself. Note that I said -or wrote, anyway- &#8220;more likely than not&#8221; as it is possible that you are not a big fat liar, specially not fat if you really like healthy food the most.</i></p>
<p><i>I just wish eating better would be easier. But then probably there are a lot of things in life that could be easier and are not. I guess if everything was easier life would be a bit dull. Or a lot.</i></p>
<p><i>So the only chance we have to improve our diets is making healthier food tastier. Or we could make junk food horrible and therefore we would opt for healthier food, but that doesn&#8217;t seem as such a wonderful idea. I guess my inspiration comes from diet Coke. Who would say that Coca Cola isn&#8217;t good? Just a few I can count with my fingers, not including toes. We can also say most people would accept it is not healthy. And then they came with diet Coke, which is a bit better for you, but still a soda. I still can&#8217;t get over how good diet Coke is. There is no drink that I like more, and I know it is no good but at least is healthier than regular Coca Cola, isn&#8217;t it?<br /></i></p>
<p><i>There are a lot of ways in which healthy food can be prepared in order for it to be tastier. It does require two ingredients we usually lack of, or at least we think are scarce: research and time. There are several recipes</i> that, in spite of just trying to force vegetables down your throat involve cooking great tasty meals. Typically the best ones are the ones that just include the good and the bad, a bit of vegetables, some meat, and then some grease, butter or the like.</p>
<p><i>Don&#8217;t go overboard, but consider your options. I would be a horrible person if I propose we just eat junk food or all those things that make you bad. On the other hand, let&#8217;s be realistic and acknowledge what we really prefer.</i></p>
<p><i>Just wish healthy food was tastier. Did I say that before?</i></p>

		<description><![CDATA[I just woke up from a great nap and I gotta tell you naps are awesome, you should try them. Our grandparents take naps, our babies take naps and so should we.]]></description>
			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><p>A Nap isn&#8217;t supposed to take long, but it shouldn&#8217;t be any shorter than 30 minutes or you would be torturing your body. If your really sleeping then the recommended maximum is 45 minutes, lying in your bed awake doesn&#8217;t count, were talking about sleeping, napping.</p>
<p>Anything above 45 minutes will confuse your body. I know how the story. You wake up wondering which day it is and you don&#8217;t want that, cause it actually results in more dizziness than rest.</p>
<p>Naps have great characteristics. Afterwards you&#8217;ll be refreshed, spirited and often relieved from your problems. You will be able to think more clearly and hence they will also be priceless if your a hard worker. Whats 30 minutes compared to the hours you cant get past a problem because you cant think straight.</p>
<p>The nap is a tradition in many countries, although there it is referred to as Siesta. This tradition started in spain and through colonialism spread to many latin american countries. In those countries naps are part of the daily business because temperatures can become unbearable and after having lunch you would become so drowsy you had no choice but to take a nap.</p>
<p>But there are also studies that say a 30 minute nap can work wonders in your health and even increase the length of your life.</p>
<p>Unfortunately I don&#8217;t take a nap everyday but I know I should. Just try to fit 30 minutes of napping into your schedule each day and you will see how your body will thank you. Trust me you can only win when you take naps.</p></p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This  shift in gears evolution takes place in an infinite time interval less  than the standards required by Darwinian theory, says economist Robert  W. Fogel, Nobel Prize winner.</p>
<p><strong>Darwin theory &#8230; </strong><strong>minute</strong></p>
<p>For  almost three decades, Robert W Fogel tried to understand what they say  about the human body shape and size of the social economic changes in  history and &#8230; vice versa.</p>
<p>&#8220;In  the twentieth century, the rate of technological and human psychology  schimarilor was remarkable,&#8221; Fogel said in a telephone interview granted  to the NY Times, adding that &#8220;more than a synergy between technological  advance and the psychological is something deeper than a simple addition of the two. &#8220;</p>
<p>This  &#8220;evolution tehnopsihica, fueled by improved methods of food production  and improve the health system, has passed in both the evolution of  traditional oamanii today that no longer differentiates only remaining  species, but all previous generations of Homo sapiens.</p>

<p>Without  improvements in the twentieth century, nutrition, healthcare and  medicine, only half the U.S. population would be alive today, consider  Samuel H. Preston, one of the most renowned researchers in the field of  demography and sociology at the University of Pennsylvania.</p>

<p>In 1850, the average male<br />height: 1.70 m<br />weight: 66.2 kg<br />Life expectancy: 45 years</p>
<p>In 1980, the average male<br />height: 177.8 m<br />weight: 78.9 kg<br />Life expectancy: 75 years</p>

<p>Over  the Atlantic, during the Revolution, a French about 30 years, weighed  about 49.8 kilograms, compared to 77.1 kilograms today. In  Norway, a young man of 22 years was 14 inches tall (1.79 m) in the late  twentieth century than in the mid eighteenth century (1.65 m).</p>

<p>Great  achievement of the team formed by Fogel and his colleagues was to find a  method by which to measure a part of this growth recorded by the human  body. There are many available &#8211; birth,  death, longevity, living standards, productivity, food production and  manufacturing &#8211; but so far nobody has taken into account throughout.</p>
<p>Over the years, Fogel and his colleagues analyzed the health data of thousands of people from different countries. Won  the 1993 Nobel Prize was awarded by the Swedish for &#8220;renewal of  research in economic history by applying economic theory and  quantitative methods to explain FOR THE economic and institutional  changes.&#8221;</p>
<p>The volume &#8220;The Changing  Body&#8221; is full of statistical tables and charts, including height of  girls from Croatia and Germany caloric energy derived from potatoes,  fish and wine, and average annual intake of grains and meat for widows  of Middlesex County, Mass.., from 1654-1799 &#8211; both evidence of the massive amount of data acumlate, and collaborative nature of this approach.</p>
<p>The  basic premise is quite understandable: health and nutrition for  pregnant women and their children contributes to the strength and  longevity of the next generation. If babies are  deprived of nutrients, both in the womb, and early in life, they will be  more sensitive and more vulnerable to disease. These adults &#8220;weak&#8221; among their offspring will generate less prepared for survival and the cycle continues &#8230;</p>
<p>Technological advance has saved humanity from centuries of disease and malnutrition. Before the nineteenth century, most people were trapped in a cycle of subsistence farming. For example, a colonial farmer was working 78 hours for 5 days and a half. People needed more food to flourish, but they could not produce more food without being strong.</p>
<p><strong>What happens in Africa and Asia?</strong></p>
<p>On  the other hand, Angus Deaton, Princeton University economist who  studies health in poor countries and developed countries, says Fogel  admire his work, but is reserved in connection with an emphasis on  nutrition, as well as to other conclusions that scientists they deduced taking into account height.<br /><img src="http://s3.amazonaws.com/readers/2011/05/03/s1ziarecom_2.jpg" alt="" width="540" height="338" /></p>
<p>&#8220;I  do not understand very well why adults and children in Africa are much  higher than adults and children in India. But it can not come, because  Indians are more affluent,&#8221; says Deaton. India has a per capita income two times higher than that of Kenya and almost three times higher than in Tanzania.</p>
<p><strong>&#8220;Overnutritia&#8221; threatens to break down the growth model</strong></p>
<p>When  this research began, Fogel did not expect to be confronted with a  problem of &#8220;supranutritiei, a leading cause of health problems in the  U.S. and other Western nations.</p>
<p>Obesity  increases the risk of heart disease and some cancers, threatens to mess  up the model of body size, health and longevity, the model that Fogel  and his colleagues have documented it for many years.<br /><img src="http://s3.amazonaws.com/readers/2011/05/03/s2ziarecom_3.jpg" alt="" width="540" height="315" /></p>
<p>However, Fogel remains optimistic. The  human body is so flexible and respond to stimuli that easy, he says,  that makes him confident that this &#8220;trend toward larger bodies and  longer lives will continue in the future.&#8221;</p>
<p><strong>The body is changing &#8230; </strong><strong>from 1700</strong></p>
<p>Research  conducted by Fogel, together with a small group of colleagues, have  come to form a new branch of study of history, launching at least one  interesting theory, namely that in the last century, technology has  accelerated at an unprecedented step, the evolution man.</p>
<p>In  May, Cambridge University will publish the culmination of this  research, the book &#8220;The body is changing: Health, Nutrition and Human  Development in the Western world, from 1700, just weeks before Robert  Fogel 85 years to accomplish.</p>

<p>I&#8217;m a true believer that words and thoughts are infinitely powerful. In fact, studies have even repeatedly shown that people with positive outlooks on life tend to stay healthier and happier throughout their lives.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s undeniable that words have strong meanings and can change our moods much more than most people realize. For example, some times people go home with a headache not understanding why.&nbsp; But, if one were to slowly reenact that person&#8217;s day, it would be easy to connect the dots and discover how that came about. 1+1 = 2. Danger = tense muscles, etc. Doctors are even starting to catch on to the power of words these days doling out prescriptions coupled with&nbsp;advice to&nbsp;repeat words like, &#8220;I&#8217;m getting better everyday.&#8221; And, &#8220;My body is healing itself.&#8221; These doctors know what they&#8217;re doing.</p>

<p>So, if you often find negative thoughts running through your mind because of how you were raised, the people you work around and for any other reason, don&#8217;t worry. You can learn to block that negativity out. To combat this, you can learn to play a positive &#8220;mental tape&#8221; in your mind all day long.</p>
<p>Furthermore, because words are nourishment to our bodies and mental state, instead of offering junk food to another person today, why not offer them a compliment a day? For an incentive: realize that whatever you give another person comes back to you in some form or another.&nbsp; For the altruistic: when you do compliment another person&nbsp;you will see&nbsp;how it will literally transform your relationship with them. You may or may not see it at first, but&nbsp;often it will dramatically change the totality of that person&#8217;s&nbsp;life. Because whatever love and support we receive, we&#8217;re able to give to another person. While the&nbsp;person you complimented&nbsp;may not give your kindness back to you&nbsp;to you at all,&nbsp;they may give it back to someone who will pass it on to another who will continue the ball rolling. And, you never know if one day one of those people will meet someone you love and treat them better because of what you did. Keep this in mind for every person you meet throughout your life.</p>

<p>When you do, you save yourself a great deal of time. Often people have an initial gut reaction, but choose to ignore it only to spend months or years mulling it over and finally ending up with the same conclusion. Don&#8217;t let that happen to you. Know that your instincts are there for a reason; to keep you safe and focused on your journey toward making all your dreams come true.</p>
<p>If you feel the need to mull something over because, of course, sometimes our instincts do need refinement due to lack of knowledge or misinterpretation of a circumstance, give yourself a reasonable amount of time to think it over and then if nothing has changed, give yourself the ability to move on without regret. Give everything you&#8217;ve got, heart and soul. If something&#8217;s meant to be in your life it will be. If it slips away easily it was never yours to begin with.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Do not hang on to ghosts!  What do I mean by that?</p>
<p>We all have certain times, in our lives, where we are</p>
<p>involved in something, tangible or intangible, when</p>
<p>we just refuse to let it go. Whatever it is, be it a dream</p>
<p>lost for the moment, a supposedly, permanent relationship,</p>
<p>a love affair, a friend turned non-friend, or anything else.</p>
<p>Things we deem so valuable, that we continue to hold on,</p>
<p>until it becomes, so all consuming, to the point of distraction.</p>
<p>We refuse to see that we are doing ourselves, more harm</p>
<p>than good.</p>
<p>A toxic friend perhaps, who delights in taking away any</p>
<p>Joy, that you might be experiencing, over whatever, turning</p>
<p>your good day into a gloomy one. They are so selfish, because</p>
<p>it is all about them, and when you hear their voice on the</p>
<p>telephone, you know that when the conversation has ended,</p>
<p>you will be much less happy, than when you picked up the</p>
<p>phone.</p>
<p>Make the decision to free yourself of such people, they should</p>
<p>be called &ldquo;vampires&rdquo;, because they want to sap you of your</p>
<p>emotional happiness. They are miserable most times, and</p>
<p>their mission, and they have accepted it, is to create misery,</p>
<p>wherever they can, if you choose to participate, then you will</p>
<p>be the receptacle of their outpouring of grief.  Cut the cord,</p>
<p>stop chasing ghosts, hoping that this individual will change,</p>
<p>and suddenly, become the person you wish they could be. It is</p>
<p>not going to happen.</p>
<p>The same applies to lovers, if you are always arguing over</p>
<p>everything, there is some underlining problem, that needs to be</p>
<p>resolved, there has to be discussion and resolution. If you can&#8217;t</p>
<p>work it out, you need to stop chasing ghosts. This may not be</p>
<p>the person, you want to send your life with, in the future. End</p>
<p>it, face reality, and move on. There will be someone else, who</p>
<p>will be more compatible. Stop chasing ghosts, thinking that if</p>
<p>you just hold on, he or she will change and everything will be</p>
<p>better, and less cantankerous, not going to happen.</p>
<p>For your peace of mind, and serenity, the best thing to do, is</p>
<p>to move on down the road, lighten your burden, it will give</p>
<p>you clearer air to breathe, you will be able to focus and be</p>
<p>more productive, when these ghosts are turned out to pasture.</p>
<p>Let them find other attics to dwell in, life is too short, ghosts</p>
<p>will always be who they are, and your life is just that, your life,</p>
<p>take charge and be a happier person, free of people, places and</p>
<p>things, that weigh you down and curtail your growth and</p>
<p>happiness. Let go of illusions, and things that are not good for</p>
<p>you,  or your well being.</p>

		<title>A Key to be a Healthier and a Happier Person!</title>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>At times we think that these things are very basic things and everybody knows them yet we find it hard to follow them because they are basic I guess! The best thing would be read it again and again so that it keeps on inspiring you. Save it in your favourites or on the desktop. Do spread the message to your loved ones also. I hope I was able to help you in the smallest way possible.</p>

<li>
<h3>Take out time for exercise:</h3>
<p> I know that we all are in a hurry to do some or the other thing in the morning. But you will need this body to do all these works in future as well so you have to spare some time for it. Now to start with don&#8217;t set targets for days because if you will not be able to achieve the targets, you will be disheartened and you will stop exercising. So set the targets for weeks, at least 2hours a week. So about 15-20 minutes a day and of course you can complete the missed targets on weekends. For those who can&#8217;t even spare this much time you walk as much as you can in the morning or go cycling to your workplace. Even if that is not possible then you avoid driving in the morning and that time you must do some breathing exercises and meditation instead of just plugging in your earphone!</li>

<h3>Healthy breakfast:</h3>
<p> There are various types of food and you can&#8217;t just name a few to tell anybody that this should be taken. So I will try to explain you in simple words. You can just take any kind of food, provided it should be in its natural form. This means that the breakfast should not be fried, boiled or if possible not even cooked. So the best example can be fruits, milk, juices (try to take fresh fruits along with the pulp), lentils or beans should be taken in the sprouted form, some nuts are a must (in winters can be taken in the natural form but in summers soak them overnight in water and consume them without the skin and even drink that water in which you soaked them).Do take some cereals like cornflakes, or flatbreads or fermented wheat bread. It would be best if you can take a combination of some fruits, cereals, nuts and juice/milk.</li>

<h3>Short breaks from work:</h3>
<p> It is very important to take short breaks while working. It will prevent you from stressing out and you will be able to perform more. Even this principle is applicable for those who are at home. One must relax in between whatever we do. It can be a tea/coffee break, or take a short walk, or talk to someone or just deep-breathe for sometime in open area. If you are a homemaker take some nap in the day so that you are fresh and energetic when your loved ones are back from work!</li>

<h3>Give time to your family/loved ones:</h3>
<p> Always remember that money and materialistic things are meaningful and will give you happiness when you have the support and love of your family and loved ones. So next time when you reach home after work, don&#8217;t just stick to your laptop or music player! Talk to your loved ones, share things with each other, play with your kids and try to give some small surprises to each other!</li>
<li>
<h3>Early to bed or at least early dinner:</h3>
<p> Try to finish your routine and go early to bed. But these days I know people say that they find time for themselves only at night, thanks to technology! Anyways if you can&#8217;t go to bed early just take care that 6-8hours sleep is a must. Even if you can&#8217;t sleep early just take care that you finish with your supper at least 2hours before you go to bed otherwise your intestines will have to work really hard and you will have to pay for it in the long run.</li>
</ol>
