Ode to my Mum.

Dear Mother,

Inside you I grew, Born into your arms. A new world I saw before me, held by your guiding hands. With your eyes I saw the world as it was to you, and with your friends I learned what God was to you. There were many things I watched and learned as I sat and listened to your yarns and tales between friends. I never wanted to fail you, I wanted you to see me as special, I dreaded failing you, I never wanted to be less than you. I listend so carefully for things I must do. I wanted to be just like you.

I dreamed of a story as interesting as yours; some spiritual and magical and hot boys as well. You looked after kids as I also loved to do, and had dreams of having a half way house house to help those in need. These things are the things that became my life seed. I dont know if you see, just how much of you influenced me?

As a child I watched you many times, I watched you dress for a party you were going to with Dad, You were dressed as a prirate, silver and gold, I wanted that shirt even when I was older. I wondered at the flowers you taught me to make, just with tissue paper, a carnation and rose- they were so great.

My favorite pink dress you sewed me at home; I still wanted to wear it when It was fully out grown. You drew such perfect faces for me; and roses and carnations and even a tree. Latch hook pictures and sugar sandwiches. Walks to Helen Murrays and our chips at Kmart.

Your stories of old intrigued me so much,a bit of magic within, a bit secretive as such.So many things I saw in your eyes; I never saw hatred, or nasty lies. I know this is the part I loved the most, and this is the part you prefer stay a ghost. But you dont see just how much you had taught, I am careful with my ventures to the spiritual world; I have been intrigued since just a tiny little girl.

I longed for you to be happy and free, It was sure not happening with you and sweet Daddy. As a teen I grew distant and longed to explore; the world before me, a life I was sure would not be approved of; but It was something I needed to do. I needed to explore the world on my own; I was in love you see; and still to this day, I know that it was love that lead me away. It was not to leave you alone but to protect from me. I knew what I wanted was not what you would see.

So this Mothers day I am writing the words you probably have never heard. I admired every inch of you growing up and the person that I am today is due to the strong, determined woman you claimed to be; before meeting Dad and having me. SO in your footsteps I followed my call and the proudest mother I am of them all.

So this day is just for me and you; and no matter what life may take us through! You are my hero and always will be and I hope some day you will be proud of me

I love you Mum.

About going thru a rough patch in life, but having someone that is there by your side thru it all...

“Weather the Storm”

I close my eyes,as I lie awake in bed
and just listen to the sound of the rain
Like musical notes that come to life
as Heaven’s teardrops dance on my pane

Some may know the melody I speak of
and have heard their tune play before
For some of us it’s a time to reflect
yet other’s,the beginning of a downpour

We’ve all been caught in a thunderstorm
and maybe even a hurricane or two
But all bad weather comes to an end
and eventually the sun comes shining thru

As they say,”Weather the Storm”
because we’re all in this together
Stay focused and be prepared
when faced with this foul weather

So when the storm finally comes to pass
and I open my eyes to clear the debris
I notice that you never left my side
you were my umbrella, and there for me…

About two soul mates that finally find one another...

“The day we meet”

On the day we get together
We will feel like we’ve always been
A familiar feeling inside of us
From a deep sleep our hearts will awaken

Our bodies we will embrace
Like a river our blood will flow
The warmth it will devour us
And at that moment we will know

We have finally found one another
Our paths have crossed before
At that time we didn’t know it
But now we know for sure

Never will we ever let go
For True Love we have found
We engage in our first kiss
It’s affect we can’t hear a sound

So we lose our hearing for a moment
Our eyes we only see each other
Our senses they are without a trace
And focused on only one another

It will be on that day, that moment,
That memory forever burned into our mind
And at that same moment,
We will know our soul mate we did find

Discovering Love while in a Thunderstorm.

“Making Love in a Thunderstorm”

Like teardrops falling from the open sky
As they make their way to our naked skin
Staring into each other’s eyes
We come together while love making

Our bodies begin to drip
Our rhythm is unsurpassed
We take each other’s breath away
Have we found each other at last

And as the thunder becomes louder
And it’s echo drowns out our moans
There is an eerie silence around us
As we discover each’s erotic zones

And as our hearts begin to race
And our bodies become more attune
We realize that we are meant to be
Two bodies,the Earth,and one Moon

And as the storm begins to pass
And we just hold each other tight
Just whispering,little I love you’s
Knowing what we have is so right

So now as the sky begins to clear
And the stars come out to shine
As we walk away hand in hand
Knowing forever you will be mine

A heartfelt renouncement of a mans non drinking ways.

Confessions Of A Sober Amiercan Holligan.

by

you’ll soon find out.

Top of Form 1

Hi, my name is Martin Kertzman and i am not an alcoholic. no, no, i know you can’t tell by look at me, but trust me, i haven’t touched a drop until it was gone. I’ve spent hours curled up, almost lifeless in bathroom puking as if there was no tomorrow. i have ruined relationships that i held most dear, i can’t even remember my kids names, if i have any. Its time to change.

Last week i was at a bar, not drinking when my girlfriend called and asked if i would go and pick up some milk on the way home, i said yes. i never made it home that night, i was out not drinking with a bunch of mormon party animals, our battle cry was joseph smith and our drink of choice was moral suppority, i woke up that mourning in a tent out side a planet parenthood, with a sign that neatly read, stop killing babies. how did i get mixed up with such a crazy crew!

i got home around noon, my girl friend was at work, and i took this time to par take in not drinking, so i sat there, wasting away, my blood completely ridden with booze free blood, my brain was sharp and quick. so i took this time to waste my time reading and broaden my horizons, i know it was selfish, i know it wasn’t right, i know she would be hurt, but it didn’t matter. The temptation to not drink was too powerful, i caved. and this is when i realized i couldn’t do this alone, she never did come home.

Later that night i was back at some bar, drinking water, which i know is extremely good for you and considered the source of all life, but thats my sober mind playing tricks on me. i knew it, and there i was, chugging it down as if there was no tomorrow, hell for all i know there wasn’t. i stayed till close and drove home. It was on that drive where i thought, hell why not A.A., i need help. i cried like a baby that night, not because i had thrown my life away, but because i stubbed my toe and it really hurt.

A few days passed, and my not drinking continued, at an epic pace! all day, not drinking, non stop, one glorious bender, better the burn out then fade away. if i lived through this, i thought, id go get help. And then it was then i ran into those Mormons again. We stayed up all night playing monopoly and drinking ice tea, happily throwing our lives away but in our indoor voices so we wouldn’t wake up the kids. Dillian was his name, and Jake was his father, Jake isn’t a very good monopoly player, he was too kind for his own good. Just like my girlfriend was, she could stand that i didn’t drink but she couldn’t stand that i was not an alcoholic, it drove her mad. it was then i realized how much i hurt people with my selfish not drinking ways, i was tearing everyone i knew apart. I cried and Jake put his arm around my shoulder.

“don’t fret friend god has a plan for us all” he said calmly

“i cant take it anymore” i cried louder

“god will provide you with his love and you will overcome this.”

i cried even louder

Jake took a deep breath ” hey, would you mind being a little more quite, you’ll wake up my kids.”

i shook my head no, slobber and snot flying off my face, as if my disgrace was now bubbling up to the surface like some sort of shame volcano

“can someone find him a pillow” Jake said ” a pillow, no not the good one, a bad one, that one, it’ll do.”

i cried myself to sleep that night. and i had a dream. i don’t remember what, i wrote some of it down when i woke up but all i got was clowns, nurses, roller disco and i underlined story of my life 3 times which naturally indicated its importance, but i accidentally left it in my pocket leaving nothing but a blur, i just thought there and smiled, that was the story of my life.

i mean how did i get this way, where did i go wrong, in college i could not drink till my hearts content, but now, it was too much. I had to stop, but more importantly, i wanted to stop not drinking. so here i am. I’m not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, I’m only human. and i am here to become more interesting, to dumb myself down to lower my ambitions, i am here to stupefy myself into oblivion, i am here to learn to judge my sex life in pounds and not in petty standards, but more importantly i am here to get wasted and leave my days of non drinking hooliganism behinds me, because once a hooligan always a hooligan and if there i one thing a hooligan needs its an excuse. good night and god bless! or maybe more fitting CHUG CHUG CHUG!

The virtue of charity is infinite, the benign effects of which is multifarious and extensive. But there are elements that might not be deserving of any financial aid, which make it necessary for us to investigate the authenticity of their solicitations.

Charity is a well-known medium through which we can express our deep feeling of concern toward those whose needs must be met in order for them to survive the rigors of life. But before we extend any financial assistance, we should make sure whether those soliciting any financial help are, in fact, worthy of our help. Donations extended to organizations with which we are not familiar, might, indeed, prove to be “fly by night” operations, disguised as being desperately in need of financial donations. They are, perhaps, set up temporarily, under different names, shifting from one location to another, and are considered to be ubiquitous shadows that appear and disappear, from time to time. Yet there are those that are sincere and well-established, and have become household names, representing worthy humanitarian causes whose purpose and integrity are unquestionable.

Wealthy Americans are generally disposed to making financial contributions. Those in the middle class are equally helpful, and give whatever they could afford. Americans, regardless of status, are generally sensitive to the needs of those that are unfortunate. During this critical juncture, when the nation’s economy has severely deteriorated, the word, “charity,” rings loud and clear in many circles of our society. It is a part of the fabric of our lifestyle and heritage.

Nowadays, it is not uncommon to come across those that are homeless and deserving of whatever we can spare. We should not consider them to be insignificant statistics that we see huddled on sidewalks, or standing here and there, desperate and confused. Even, when we think that some of the homeless might be mentally afflicted, such a thought should not stop us from showing our heartfelt concern toward their plight and predicament.

Charity does not have to be merely financial. It includes donations of clothes, food and whatever else we might want to contribute in order to mitigate the circumstances of those that are in dire need.

Religion itself advocates the importance of helping those in need. Charity is considered to be one of its pillars. Bear in mind, while the recipient of charity feels comforted, those that give should feel no less satisfied by the performance of an act of humanity, regardless of its quality and measure.

Everyone strives to have a lasting relationship, but sometimes it isn't so easy to get. This article will help you understand the basic needs for maintaining a healthy relationship.

Finding and maintaining a lasting relationship for most people is a very difficult thing to do. Even the best relationships can go bad quickly for a number of reasons. Everyone wants a good relationship, and hopefully this article will help you learn to how to have one.

Stay Calm and Collected

No matter if you just met the person, or you’re in a relationship already, you have to make sure to stay calm and collected. If they tell you they are going to call you and don’t, don’t freak out. This is the biggest mistake that most people make. This is especially important the first time you meet someone; you don’t want to be the crazy person they just met, you want to be the person they ask their friends about later. Here are a few things to remember:

Stay calm – but not quiet! There is a big difference between being calm and being quiet. You don’t want to act too shy around someone if you’re interested, because it’ll make him or her think that you’re not.

Don’t get jealous. If you notice flirting with someone else you don’t need to make a big deal about it. Don’t try to outdo the other person, because this will just make you look arrogant.

Have fun! This is very important; if you’re not having fun you are less likely to being noticed.

Don’t go crazy. Alright, at some point all of us start have a little too much fun. You definitely don’t want to be running around too much or talking loudly if it’s not the appropriate place.

Tease

A great way to flirt with someone is to tease him or her a little bit. With that said, you don’t want to be rude in you’re teasing. Don’t laugh at them and comment on their flabby arms or big ears; say something that you know they will find funny too. Here are a few things to remember:

Don’t tease them too much.

Make sure to be nice, not rude.

Don’t make fun of them.

Heartfelt Compliments

Make sure to compliment them, but only when you really mean it. You don’t want to compliment them too much and smother them, because you’re compliments later won’t be worth as much. Compliment them on something spontaneously; you don’t want to compliment them just because someone else just did or because they complimented you. Mean what you say, and look at them in the eyes when you say it. Looking at a person in the eyes when you compliment them is a great idea, because it’ll help show that you really mean it.

Communication

There’s a reason everyone always talks about it: because it’s important! Communication is what really makes and breaks relationships. Make sure to tell your loved-one what’s on your mind. Remember though, you don’t want to tell them everything, like something that will hurt their feelings. However, you definitely want to tell them things that are troubling you, so that they know that you trust them. Make sure that you’re not the only one talking; let them know that they can tell you anything.

Whenever they help you with a problem let them know how much you appreciate them for their help. If they are feeling down about something and don’t want to tell you, don’t make a big deal about it. You don’t want them feeling even worse because of you. Just let them know that if they ever want your help you are there for them no matter when it is. Tell them that they if they don’t feel like talking that it’s alright, and when they are ready you will be there. If it seems serious and there is a possibility that they might harm themselves try a bit harder. If they won’t tell you don’t push them, just let them know how much you care about them.

Hopefully this article will help you in finding a healthy relationship and maintaining it. All of the above is simply a few ideas that should help you get started – if you have something that you think works better for you, that is what you should do. If you have any comments or additional ideas, be sure to leave a comment. Good luck on finding your next relationship.
