What the title says ^

Homosexuality

(from a straight male’s point of view)

homosexuals can be defined in 2 simple words: “gays” and “lesbians”

for females (lesbians), it’s probably their own misguided sense of beauty. or should i say fashion. they dress to impress, and that’s mostly a good thing. but too much of everything just makes it more complicated. too much make-up, or whatever it is they put on their faces until they are barely recognizable from their natural looks usually have the wrong effect. instead of impressing the opposite sex, they usually scare them away. i mean, seriously? would a normal human being look like that? a shoe is a shoe, a dress is a dress, and if you have to change it, guys would understand. some guys would even go the distance to pretend to understand if women need to change their clothes 5 minutes after wearing them. but changing their faces? why would anyone need to do that? the only creature they’ll manage to attract would be their own kind. thus, female homosexuals came into being.

for males (gays) it’s much simplier. they do what their dicks tell them. they have this natural urge to insert their dicks into something. self-control makes the difference between humans and beasts. but there are times the urge overpowers self-control and males tend to use whatever or whoever is available. it makes no difference if it’s their right or left hand, a living thing or an inanimate object, human or otherwise, and of course it doesn’t matter if it’s female or male.

and then there’s love. mostly confused with lust. but it’s still a good reason to go into a relationship with somebody. love/lust defies reason. it doesn’t follow the rules and/or morals of any human civilization. age, social status, race, species, gender, all these things won’t matter once love/lust takes control. just go with the flow and enjoy the ride. or listen to reason, control your urges and stay straight.

Just as African-Americans are discriminated, homosexuals are treated as second class citizens.

They don't have the same rights as heterosexuals.

Modern Example: Don’t ask, Don’t tell

Passed in 1993, it mandates the discharge of openly gay, lesbian, or bisexual service members. The policy was introduced by former president Bill Clinton. Don’t ask Don’t Tell actually originated as a compromise to allow homosexuals to serve in the US military. The policy mandates that US officials cannot ask military applicants of their sexual orientation. If knowledge of homosexual orientation arose, the accused personnel would be discharged. More than 14,500 service members have been discharged since 1993 due to Don’t ask, Don’t tell. Before being discharged, these members were not only ridiculed severely, but also beat. Sometimes even until death.

Although “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” was originally made as a way to let gays enroll in the military, it in more ways than not created more controversy around the topic of homosexual and mistreatment.

Lance Bass Interview

Former “N-Sync” star, Lance Bass, was interviewed by People magazine regarding his recent coming out as gay.

In the interview from ‘People Magazine’, Lance states that he knew from childhood about his sexual orientation. He felt burdened from having to hide the truth all of his life. At age 27, Lance Bass finally has the courage to tell his friends and family what he wanted to all his life. After coming out, he received much needed support from his close friends.

Homosexuality Discrimination in History

Frank Kameny, who was fired as a government astronomer in 1957 for being gay, petitioned the U.S. Supreme Court, contesting his firing. Athough it was denied, Kameny’s was the first petition to the high court for a violation of civil rights. He argued the government’s actions toward gays were an “affront to human dignity.” ”This inclusion is an epic milestone in the telling of gay history because it places gay Americans’ struggle for equality where it belongs — in the story of the Constitution itself,” Charles Francis, a founder of the Kameny Papers Project, told The Associated Press. The library of congress quietly placed the documents on view at the end of April in an exhibit called “Creating the United States,” which traces the evolution of the nation’s founding documents and legal framework. Organizers of the Kameny Papers Project, which donated about 50,000 items to the library in 2006, announced the display Monday.

“I suppose you can say at this point, I have become one of the creators of the United States, which I never would have imagined in 1961,” Kameny said with a chuckle.

”All I can say is from the long view, 50 years, we have moved ahead in a way that would have been absolutely unimaginable back then.”

APNewsBreak:Gay rights papers shown at US library. www.kamenypapers.com. May 8, 2011.

Conclusion

Being gay is not a choice, rather the choice to come out and be yourself is a choice. If homosexuality was a choice, why would these people purposely chose discrimination and a lifetime of hate? That wouldn’t make sense. Discrimination agaisnt openly gay people has been going on for ages. Although progress has been made on the gay front, it still isn’t enough.

An article on staying open minded about your child's sexuality.

Top of Form

Top of Form

Staying opened minded about your child’s sexuality is something that very parent has to deal with be it their sexual orientation, or the fact they are sexually active in the first place.

Your child’s sexuality is always a tricky subject. Many parents struggle to come to turns with a sexually active child and particularly if the child’s sexuality is different from the parent’s, acceptance can be difficult. It is important that you learn to understand and accept your child for who they are. This is particularly important as your child is going through a difficult developmental time and lacking parental support can seriously affect their confidence and emotional development. However, it is always important to stay as opened minded about your child’s sexuality as possible.

Sexual orientation

Be proud of your child for having the strength and courage to open up to you, it shows how strong the family bond is. Have an open non-judgemental dialogue where you can both discuss concerns. Remember your child will feel nervous and maybe confused, be accepting and supportive no matter what you instinctively feel.

It is important to realize this is who your child is and you can’t change them. Learn and research their sexual orientation so you understand them better. If you’re still having problems being opened minded about your child’s sexuality consider joining a parental support group where you can learn from other parent’s experiences.

Support your child in front of friends and relatives and foster acceptance by showing your respect for your child’s life choices. You should realize your child has been through an incredible struggle and they are who they’ve always been, your child, and you can’t change them.

The movement for gay rights that started several decades ago is little by little achieving its organizers' objectives. Read more...

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=nbsl84aAaNE]

Gays and lesbians are branded as “freaks of nature” in the modern world. The primordial root of such a branding is because gays and lesbians are simply not “normal.” To be normal is to be part of the majority, and if your values, beliefs, acts, language or anything you have does not coincide with that of the majority, you are shoved off and branded as an outcast.

What most people don’t know is that the “freakish” nature of being gay or lesbian depends on the society one belongs to. For instance, during the height of the Roman and Greek era, male-to-male romantic relationships were considered the “highest form of love” between two people. Heterosexual relationships during that time, at that location, were viewed as inferior since such relationships were only for the purpose of procreation. It was said that some of the great men like Plato, Aristotle and even Alexander the Great had homosexual relationships during that time- and that it was perfectly normal.

Another reason for the negative view on homosexuality is the fact that popular religions all around the world have certain standards or beliefs against gays, lesbians and relationships involving such people. For instance, Christianity strongly stresses that God created Man and Woman- it never mentioned anything about gays and lesbians.

However, the world is seeing a shift in perspective regarding such issues. Recently, the Catholic Church announced that there is nothing wrong with being gay or lesbian- it is just the homosexual acts that they are against, particularly oral sex and sodomy. In most Islamic countries, such homosexual acts are considered both a sin and a crime- guilty offenders having to face various penalties from both the religion and the state.

However, as time passes by and as the people of the world is slowly exposed to the questioning of the authorities and rules that once held absolute supremacy over the lives of the masses, there seems to be a certain rate of awakening or a change in perspective towards lesbians and gays. Little by little, people understand that gays and lesbians do exist, as such as heterosexual males and females do. It’s just that people who once were strongly opposed to such genders understand that being gay or lesbian is neither a curse nor a willful condition by a person, but a natural phenomenon that occurs- even to their parents, siblings, cousins and friends. Science has also explained that certain wirings in the brain’s neurons may be the source of such acts of a minority of people.

In the coming decades, we will see a much wider proliferation of gays and lesbians within our communities. The slaves earned their freedom, women were allowed to vote and have equal rights, tribes were handed down equal opportunities… in the future, gays and lesbians will become a normal thing. That, wether you like it or not, is the next frontier for mankind.

Note: The author is not gay.

Neanderthals - cognitive development.

Presentation of Fumane Cave. The opening of the Fumane Cave lies at the base of a rock cliff at 350 m above sea level (ASL) on the left slope of the valley of a small tributary stream flowing eastward to join the main Fumane valley in the Monti Lessini in the Veneto Prealps. This important site was already known in the 19th century, and the first explorations were carried out by the Natural History Museum of Verona in 1964 and 1982 at the bottom of a sequence exposed by a road cutting in 1950. A new series of investigations started in 1988 under the patronage of the Superintendence for the Archeological Heritage of Veneto, bringing to light a sequence of Paleolithic occupations. Excavations are conducted on a regular basis every year by the universities of Ferrara and Milan I. The cave is part of a fossilkarst complex excavated in the Ooliti di San Vigilio carbonatic sandstone (upper Lias), extensively dolomitized in the valley where the cave opens. The cave conjoins with other tunnels and was completely obstructed by sediments and by the collapse of the external vault. After this landslide was removed, between 1990 and 1996, a sheltered area of almost 60 m2 was brought to light and extensive excavations began, with the aim of investigating evidence of the final Mousterian and Aurignacian occupations.

This taphomomic study of the avifaunal assemblage from Mousterian levels of Fumane provides evidence that humans focused only on some of the species. There is no doubt that the human modifications (striae, peeling, and breakthrough) indicate an unusual significance, as they are present on rare species with no particular food utility. These are mainly birds living in open areas close to rock cliffs and caves (lammergeier, Eurasian black vulture, and Alpine chough) as well as in clearings on the edges of woods and forests (red-footed falcon and common wood pigeon). It cannot be excluded that the presence of some individuals of Alpine chough may have been due to natural causes, whereas other elements must surely have been introduced by humans, who collected them from wounded or dead animals or intentionally captured individuals. As well as an interest in leg phalanges, already evident from other sites, the Neandertals from Fumane show a particular interest in wings. Their goal could have been the appropriation of the whole wing, or just the remiges—as indicated by the ulna of Alpine chough —or just the bone, as the signs of polishing on the left carpometacarpus of the Eurasian black vulture from level A9 would seem to indicate.

However, the use of long bones from large birds for making tools, flutes, and other products has been documented in Europe only in more recent periods. The interest in wings seems to be linked neither to the size of the bird nor to a specific plumage color, in that there are several different colors, including the gray of the red-footed falcon, the blue-gray of the common wood pigeon, the orange-shaded slate gray of the lammergeyer, and the uniform black of the Alpine chough. s tools or colorant containers. The possibilities for the use of these anatomical elements in the social and symbolic sphere, however, are extremely abundant.

Limiting the field to the recent and better-documented ethnographic contexts, it can be inferred that the use of bird feathers was very widespread and that humans have always attributed a broad and complex value to this practice, ranging from social significance and games to the production of ornamental and ceremonial objects. These objects consisted of single feathers, wings, or compositions of feathers or rachises applied on or in the body (head, ears, or nose), and also inserted in supporting material by means of elaborate feathering techniques to give form to headdresses, skirts, and hunting or war masks, or to adorn paradespears, calumets, and dancing drums.

The debate over the cognitive and behavioral capabilities of Neandertals, especially in the period around the first appearance of anatomically modern humans in Europe, is extensive and often based on archaeological records from a handful of pivotal sites. One of these, the Grotte du Renne site at Arcy-sur-Cure, France, provides a range of ornaments and tools usually associated with modern human industries from Châtelperronian levels, along with Neandertal teeth. Another is St. Césaire, where the relation of the Châtelperronian with Neandertals was reinforced by the discovery of a burial. Nevertheless, a new radiocarbon dataset and a reinvestigation of the available data from the first and the second sites, respectively, have challenged the association between human remains and cultural assemblages. These studies, however, provide no direct evidence to invalidate the association and can, at most, be taken as implying that a minority of the symbolic objects from the Grotte du Renne’s Châtelperronian may be intrusive. The Fumane evidence on the ornamental exploitation of the feathers of large raptors and other birds strengthens the contention that the Grotte du Renne’s associations are genuine and adds to the growing body of data that demonstrates the appearance of modern behavior in extinct autochthonous populations of Europe well before the immigration of modern humans. Moreover, the absence of evidence of this kind in the earliest Aurignacian levels at Grotta di Fumane proves that, even before the Uluzzian, Neandertals achieved this level of behavioral complexity independently, and that it was not culturally transmitted or mimicked via incoming modern humans. Last, at least in southern Europe, the backdating of the acquisition of valuable elements of bird plumage opens the door to further perspectives in the exploration of the interactions that led to our extinct relatives manifesting an interest in a form of symbolic behavior.

Have you ever wonder, how a person in ancient time gets to name things like chair and table? How and why a chair is called a chair and a table is called a table, but not the other way around?

Everything has a history. Everything has a pass. Every one knows the philosophy of why we all have to study history. Culture, life, pass, where we come from, how did we evolve to become this kind of human being of the 2000s. To know of the history so to prevent it from happening again? But yet again, all that are just words. Words that our Historical people, of ancestors made it up. By fact, we dont even know what we are actualy saying. all that we know is the meaning of the word and the function of the word. But really, have anyone come to thing about where, how and why those words that we used so often in our daily life, of its origin? Where, how and why does words came to be as it is till now?

We know by history that some of the surnames was given to those according to their occupations. Because there are so many people with the same name, it was hard to call out the one particular person. So, a surname like Taylor, or Baker or Smith from black smith and more surnames like those are put on the identity of an individual.

But what about table? Or chair? Or… apple? Why are they called the way they called? Why not some other names? Like Bunk for chairs, and Bok for tables? I mean, no one really know how and why they are all called the way they are called. No one even thought of asking them these questions that has been blotting up in my mind. Why there is no answer. Dont you ever think of it before?

I mean, it would be a great study, a great lesson to study of the history of language, not just the age of homosapians but all the ages. Starting for the homo and down to the bronze age and the silver and gold age and up till now. Why is computer named computer?

U.S. President plans to lift the ban on homosexual soldiers in the army.

“The majority of U.S. soldiers have no desire to sleep in the same room or to live in the same room as a gay soldiers buddy.” James Conway, the commander of the marine soldier said.

“I can tell you that an overwhelming majority do not want to sleep on live in same room with a person who is openly gay” Conway said.

Barack Obama actually planed to lift the ban on declared homosexuals in the military.

“Obviously, some do not mind it – and maybe a voluntary system would be the best way to start it without violating anyone’s morals or perception of their comrades” James Conway said.

13,500 soldiers have been dismissed already

Conway doesn’t hide his opposition to removing the ban on soldiers who are openly gay. His comments will likely be used by the politicians who do not want the ban to be removed.

The house of representatives has voted to abolish the ban, which now needs a final approval in the senate. More than 13,500 American troops have since 1993 (when the ban was introduced) been dismissed in the military because of this rule.

According to a new poll from CNN, about 78 percent of the U.S. population believes that homosexuals should be allowed to enter the military.

The senate blocks moves from the White House on opportunities for homosexuals to serve in the U.S. military.

Republicans in the senate blocked for a response from the White House, which wants to repeal a ban on declared homosexuals serving in the U.S. military forces.

By a vote, the proposal had to be supported by at least 60 members to move forward, but only 57 voted in favor while 40 voted against.

Barack Obama spoke about the reluctant senators’ behavior as deeply disappointing. “As the nation’s leader, I have promised to repeal this discriminatory law, supported by the Defense Minister and the Chief of general staff,” Obama said.

“A large majority of Americans agree” Obama continued .

“Gays are acceptable if they remain silent” says some

“This law weakens our national security, it reduces our military preparedness and is a contrast to fundamental American principles of fairness, integrity and equality,” Obama said.

Today, homosexuals who serve in the U.S. military can stay there like nothing ever happened – as long as they keep their sexual orientation as a secret.

Is this perfectly alright?
