Following the ousting of unpopular Michael Martin, whose profile I will save for a future day, have the MP’s swapped one unpopular figure, for a speaker that courts contraversy, not from his own tongue, but his spouses as well?

My article will search into the history of this former right wing politician, who courted the left and owes his Speakership solely to that same left of politics, who he has opposed so vehemently in his earlier political career. Small wonder that he is so unpopular with his own party.

For political bods he needs no further introduction and I am of course talking about "Dennis Skinner" Labour MP for Bolsover.

It was not difficult to select Mr Skinner as my next MP to profile, he is so different in many ways than your "average" MP and most of what he stands for I totally deplore.

However, like most of the "MP’s" profiles I believe I will find issues that I agree with the "Right Honourable Gentleman On."

What Exactly Does The House of Lords Do?

by Tim P Stavert in Government, May 25, 2010

It’s a funny question I know but with the economic melt-down we are facing after a Government that has followed the Greek Government and admitted their failures without knowing it; we have to ask ourselves how much we can save from surplus to requirements.
