If you're ever overwhelmed about all the things people say you should do, this article will simply your life by telling you what not to do.

5 Tips on how NOT to succeed in life

1. Be a total jerk and never do ANY good deeds

Being a jerk will not only get you nowhere but more importantly, it will give you a reputation that makes no one want to work with you or talk to you. Every relationship is based on communication and trust, and breaking either of those will be detrimental to all of your goals. Not doing a good deed is the easiest way to miss an opportunity that could of been the make or break of your career. It’s not just that doing good deeds is a two way street of karma but every person you meet in your life has something to offer that connects in the grand scheme of things, even if you never see them again. Doing the right thing, not because people are watching but because it’s the right thing to do will pay off.

2.Don’t take education seriously

In almost every part of the world education is the pivotal point which sets up a person’s entire life. This doesn’t just mean in school, knowledge is what makes a person get ahead, keeps them ahead, and what makes the people who know less lose.

3.Believe you have an infinite amount of time to do everything

Time is one of if not the most valuable understated things a human has. Unlike many things, it doesn’t care how much money you have or how powerful you are, everyone gets 24 in a day, you can buy it and you can’t take it away.

4.Languish in self-pity whenever you fail

You may of heard this saying many times, as you should, and here it will be said once again: Failing doesn’t make you a failure. It’s amazing how many people exist in the world today who believe that making a single mistake means they will not succeed. It’s just the opposite, making mistakes is essential in becoming successful because ,just like this article, it teaches you what not to do next time. In business and in a lot of the tech industry having a failed start-up is an honorable distinguishment.

5.Don’t work hard

Loving what you do and working at it is the key to success, the only key. You can do everything right but if you don’t do good work, you’ll fail. It’s that simple. So do whatever it takes to keep going, and don’t stress out if you’re going to make it or not, it will all come in time.

In the second part of the "Overcoming Failure" article, we look at the endeavours of others to inspire us towards success as we learn from and embrace our failings.

So this is the second part of the article in which we look at overcoming failure. The first part gave us hints and clues towards beating our failings. Indeed we briefly gave a history lesson of iconic people from our history who managed to succeed in their endeavours, despite falling at the first few hurdles.

Failure is not an option – not is you want to succeed. We have all fell from grace, we have all hit a dead-end and we have all stumbled through life at some point or another. But it is about the person you are who inspires you to overcome our failures through life and push through towards success.

Take a star baseball player. On average they only hit the ball approximately three out of ten times. To many that would appear like a high failure rate, wouldn’t it? Yet they are classed as “stars” in their own right. People we admire and sportsmen who aspire to succeed.

So why are they classed as a success? Simple: It is is because they focus on the law of averages. Star baseball players know that if they keep swinging that bat then they’ll eventually get to base. At some point they will hit that home run and reach their goal. They keep trying!

Think of another sportsman – this time from our history books. In 952 Roger Bannister ran in the Olympics and ended up finishing in fourth place. He failed and did not win a medal. You get nothing for fourth place.

But finishing fourth inspired him to better himself. Whilst he failed, the inspiration he received and inner belief pushed him to better achievements. In other words he failed to quit.

With regards to Bannister, many people considered it humanly impossible to run a mile under four minutes. Experts scoffed at such a fete and the odds were stacked against Bannister. But that was his goal. The fact the so-called experts dismissed his goals out of hands and instantly assumed he would fail, was the inspiration behind Bannister’s success. Behold, May 6,1954 Bannister achieved his goal despite the experts scoffing his target. Now runners achieve the mile under four minutes on a regular basis.

So what’s the point to all this?

It’s all about how you see yourself when facing a task or a goal. If you refuse to quit simply because you failed at the first number of attempts, then you will ultimately succeed. It’s about your willpower and whether you wish to get back up and keep trying.

Keep that mindset and you will overcome your failure and push through towards success. It’s about hard work, motivation, dedication and your belief. Learn from your failure and allow it to inspire you towards success – not let it consume you and doom you towards quitting your goals.

In 1832, Abraham Lincoln was defeated for the State Legislature. In 1833 he ultimately failed in business. In 1835 sadly his girlfriend passed away. Then in 1836 he suffered a nervous breakdown. Following this, in 1838 he was defeated for Illinois House Speaker. In 1843 he suffered another defeat, this time for nomination to Congress. Another defeat followed in 1854 when again he suffered defeat for the U.S. Senate. In 1856 he was defeated for nomination for Vice President. Then in 1858 he was defeated again in a U.S. Senate race.

That is a lot of defeats or failures isn’t it? Yet today he is considered as one of America’s greatest Presidents.

Remember that a wise man says that it is a mistake to suppose that people succeed only through success; as they only succeed through their failures.

You are not defeated until the past takes your focus off your future. Do not be afraid of failure. Instead embrace it and learn from it as this will only inspire you towards success.

We have all failed. But what does it take to overcome disappointment when we fail? We take a look in the first of three parts.

We have all failed at some point in our lives. Awful isn’t it when we do?

But whilst we are left disappointed, humiliated or with heartache, there is a lesson to be learned from failure. In the first of 3 parts, we take a look at some of history’s most poignant members who have risen from the ashes of their failures.

Read on and take inspiration!

The problem with any failing in our lives is overcoming the fear of failing in the first place. Until you do this we are all instantly immobilised at the prospect of stepping out and taking a risk again. It is human nature. Nobody likes to fail.

But failure is part of what makes us human. It is what makes us the people we are and who we aspire to be. Try and look at failure as a learning curve as you broaden your knowledge of life and your own understanding.

But the most important point I will try and press home to the reader is that when you do fail, then do not quit. That is right – DO NOT QUIT!

Look at history. Famous people in our past have shown that failure can in fact be that bridge towards success. Think about this just for a moment and cast your minds back on a little history lesson about that journey across such a bridge.

In school, Napoleon was forty-second in a class of forty-three when it came to academic standings. Yet Napoleon went on to build an army that conquered many parts of the world. Now look at George Washington. He lost two-thirds of his military battles but against overwhelming odds he went on to win the Revolutionary War. Because of this fortune he went on to change much of America’s history.

Albert Einstein, one of history’s most famous masters of physics, was such a slow learner he was advised by his tutors to quit physics and study another topic. But Einstein went on to be father of the atomic age with his mind and thinking.

So think about this. When we recall their names we do not think of their failures along the way. We remember their wisdom, their success. We remember their contributions to the world and its history books.

So what about you? What about when you fail in a venture?

It is only when you consider yourself as a failure to be final, that you actually are a failure!

Failure is not an event that happens – but think of it more of an opinion. So long as you believe that your failure is not your own opinion. That is when you can come back and succeed. Failure is not actually fatal so do not fear it! But remember that the fear of failure can hinder your goals and keep you from trying again.

Franklin Roosevelt told a whole nation that the only thing we have to fear is fear itself. From failure comes fear. A fear of “getting back on the horse” and learning from your failing will be your only downfall. Just don’t do that.

There is a saying that a righteous man may fall seven times and rise again.

Don’t be afraid of failure. It is but a learning curve towards your success…

You often hear іt said, уоu оnlу fail whеn уоu fail tо get uр after а fall. In life, іt іѕ impossible nоt tо face failure аt one point. Some people аrе ѕо scared оf failure thаt thеу lеt thе fear limit thеm. Since thеу аrе afraid tо fail, thеу don’t try аt аll. Some people do try, but whеn thеу face failure thе first time, thеу slink bасk wіth thеіr tails bеtwееn thеіr legs, utterly defeated.

And thе hardest part аbоut failure іѕ, іt leaves іtѕ mark. Once уоu fail, іt leaves а harrowing аnd traumatic experience, untіl уоu find уоurѕеlf afraid оf failing again. What hарреnѕ іѕ thе fear paralyzes уоu, making уоu unable tо strive again.

So how саn уоu succeed іf уоu lеt thе fear оf failure limit уоu аnd lеt failure stop уоu? If уоu’ve gone far еnоugh but suddenly came face tо face wіth failure, whаt do уоu do? Do уоu stop? Or do уоu stand bасk uр again?

The reason whу many people fail tо succeed іn life іѕ bесаuѕе thеу stop after thеу fail. The оld adage does say, try аnd try untіl уоu succeed. People ѕееm tо think thаt thаt saying іѕ cliché аnd overrated. They think thаt after а whіlе оf trying, уоu just have tо accept уоur limits аnd face thе sad hard truth thаt уоu саn’t do іt. That whоеvеr came uр wіth thаt saying didn’t know how іt wаѕ like tо fail.

But thаt’s ехасtlу whеrе thе problem starts – thе moment уоu stop trying. That’s whеn аll thе negative self talk wіll overcome уоu.

1. Do nоt lеt thе negative talk іn. Life always goes оn after уоu fail, ѕо уоu have no choice but tо get bасk uр. However, ѕоmеtіmеѕ, people just stop trying аnd just settle fоr lesser things іn life. This hарреnѕ whеn thеу invite thе negative feedback оf failure tо control thеіr lives.

So whаtеvеr уоu do, уоu ѕhоuld nоt lеt thе negative feedback frоm failing get tо уоu.

2. Focus оn уоur goals. If уоu set уоur mind оn уоur goals, уоu wіll keep оn moving towards іt thаt уоu wіll hаrdlу recognize thе little stumbling blocks along thе way. So keep уоur mind focused оn whаt уоu want tо achieve, аnd don’t lеt thе small bumps along thе road stop уоu.

3. The importance оf persistence. To keep thе bad experiences frоm hindering уоu, уоu need tо develop аn important trait called persistence. Over thе years, successful personalities have hailed persistence аѕ thе main ingredient fоr success. Henry Ford оf Ford Motors, Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods аnd Roger Federer аrе just ѕоmе оf thе best examples оn how far persistence саn go.

4. Subliminal messages tо make уоu more persistent. Since іt іѕ impossible tо just make уоurѕеlf magically more persistent, уоu need thе help оf subliminal messages. Subliminal messages саn train уоur mind tо think positively even whеn уоu fail. This way, уоur mind wіll know how tо respond wіth persistence whеn уоu аrе faced wіth failure.

Here аrе ѕоmе examples оf subliminal messages thаt саn make уоu more persistent:

I аm а naturally persistent person.
My persistence wіll make mе successful.
I wіll persist іn аll areas оf life.
I stay persistent even whеn things get tough.
I wіll persist untіl I reach mу goals.

If you believe that yourself you can succeed then you will surely succeed. Success means many things wonderful and positive. Success is a personal welfare truly secure in your life.

The success means to obtain honor, leadership, and the reluctance by your business associates, and popular among your friends and relations.
Success means respect for self, continually getting more real happiness and satisfaction of life, capable of doing more and more people who depend on you and feel your affection to so appreciate.

Success means winning and success in life.
Success, achievement and money is the goal of each person’s life. Everyone always wants the best in his life. No one is happy about poverty and barely fit to live and no one was happy in my game.

Perhaps you’ve heard people say, “Nonsense, if you think that you can move mountains just by saying” Move the Mountain, “and it’s really not possible.” People who think this is very confusing confidence with just wishful thinking. It is true you can not move mountains just by his mere dream. And you will not get a better job just by clicking his dream.

However, we can move mountains with belief that strong and vibrant.
So the best way for you to gain success is to believe that you really can succeed. Belief in success is behind every successful business. Believe and you truly believe can succeed, then you too will enjoy your success.
Remember successful people are successful and always get a respectable place among the others.

Hopefully helpful, and success is always to welcome a better future.

Strategies and ideas to avoid failure in life are given in this article.

Life is like a game of chess. You win some, and you lose some. Within a game of chess, you may be initially at the losing end, but yet you may ultimately turn out to be the winner. Life is also like that. Life is always filled with ups and downs. When you are on the move and moving upwards, don’t become too exuberant. Likewise, when you are down, and out, don’t become despondent. You should understand that it is all part and parcel of life. If you treat happiness and grief on an equal scale, then you are a perfectly contented person.

Coming back to the game of chess, there are many things you can do to achieve a positive result.

1. There should be no panic.

2. You should be clear headed.

3. Don’t let the reverses affect your thinking.

4. Have alternate strategies.

5. Plan meticulously.

6. Have knowledge. Knowledge gives power. It is very rarely that an idiot succeeds in anything.

7. Analyze your reverses. Why am I on the back foot?

8. Respect your opponents.

9. Try to understand that there are people more talented than you are.

10. Try to think like your opponents.

11. Maintain good health. A healthy body has a healthy mind.

12. Prepare well.

13. Practice your strategies several times.

14. Try to find loopholes in your strategies by thinking like your opponent.

15. Be mentally at peace. Only then you can think normally, and with clarity.

16. Try not to bother about setbacks. Try to accept them gracefully and happily.

17. There need not always be an opponent. You yourself may turn out to be your own adversary.

18. Ignore your internal battles.

19. Try to limit the damages.

20. What is the most damaging solution? This is usually the outcome of panic.

21. What is the least damaging solution? This is an outcome of clear headed thinking, and reflects pragmatism.

22. Don’t rest on your laurels. Instead of rejoicing in the present success, plot ahead for further and future successes.

23. Even if you need not have further successes, at least try to hold your position. This is better than losing.

24. Never run away from a problem. Face it.

Even if you follow some of these ideas, it is easy to win a game of chess. Life is like a game of chess. What holds good for a game of chess, holds good for your life also.

You've got to snap out of your usual routine and do something great!!!

Now this doesn’t mean that you should stop dreaming of what you want to do when you’re older or more intelligent. This means that instead of making excuses of why you shouldn’t do it, you go out and do it anyway and trust me you’ll feel great! I had a dream of being a millionaire writing books, biographies and just general children books rather like J.K.Rowling. But what is ironic to me is that mine and J.K.Rowling’s birthdays are the same date. The 31ST of July. We also have rather much the same writing style, and we both had a dream of writing…

Now with dreams it occurs that about 90% of the people who have dreams and goals which could ultimately get them out of poverty, stress and redundancy are ignored since the person dreaming them thinks small of themselves… But in fact they’re not small… they could be huge! In fact many of the people who are famous now, are only famous because they went out there with their dream and lived it. However I can almost guarantee you that they failed multiple times in order to be where they are now, and because they’ve previously failed if they should fail in the future they’ll be prepared for what they might have to face!

Now most people are afraid of failing, so they play it safe in the low earning, tedious job they’re currently stuck in… But they only way to succeed in life is to take big risks for big rewards! Although, for some it’s just that they don’t have the courage to perform their dream, to succeed in life and to be recognised as something in this world. But I tell you something now you must break free of being afraid, and gain the courage you need to succeed in your life. Otherwise, you’ll look back at your life at 70 or 80 and think “What have I done?” and you’ll have a certain answer of nothing… That is what I call dying in vein, dying with a regret of what they had done through-out their lives, and that is one of the most saddening things you can experience… Knowing that you could have done what you wanted to do, but you were always afraid of doing it so you gave up. Never give up on your dreams, you must fail so many times to succeed!

Now you must know by now the great chicken of KFC! The man who owned the business in the first place was poor to an extent he lived in his car for warmth, but he had a dream of selling his mother’s recipe for a large amount of cash. However on countless times when he asked people to buy his product they neglected him and denied his idea. But now I can guarantee that all who said no previously, had said yes as he is a multi-millionaire living in luxury for the remainder of his life, having one of the biggest fast food restaurants beside the magnificent McDonald’s which is also big money making!

So on a final not never give up on what you want to do in life, or else you’ll regret it for ever more… I hope you enjoyed this article!

Daniel McHardy.

Are you afraid to try something new because you might fail? A lot of people seem frozen by the fear of failure.

Try these guidelines the next time you attempt a new undertaking – and see yourself enjoying a measure of success.

Are you afraid to try something new because you might fail? A lot of people seem frozen by the fear of failure . They never participate in activities that might bring themselves embarrassment, ridicule, or humiliation. They always take the safe route—the route that offers the least chance of mishap or disappointment, the path of caution and inactivity.

The fear of failure becomes for them an emotional paralysis. It not only robs them of the excitement of achievement in a new field, the joy of mastering a new art of activity, but it also cripples their personality and spirit as physical paralysis cripples the body. Because of this fear, they sentence themselves to a lifetime confinement in a mental wheelchair, which drastically limits their horizon of discovery and happiness.

If you do have a case of this debilitating fear complex, here are three ways to help cure that disease.

1. Don’t accept the world’s definition of failure or success.

Many successful innovators and visionaries of history did not start with a popular idea. Some did not even meet the definition or description of what the world thinks was a successful person at that time they started out their career.

Yet, society continues to dangle the counterfeit carrots of success in front of humans tempting them to join the race—the race after expensive homes, luxurious cars, fat bank accounts, social prestige, and positions of authority.

Few people, it seems, stop to ask why—if possessions and position bring ultimate happiness—so many of the very rich and very famous live such dismal lives. Why do they need to visit psychiatrists so often? Why do some commit suicide at the peak of their careers?

Think – What’s the point in joining the rat race? Are you a rat?

2. Don’t bite off more than you can chew.

Another way we can minimize failure when attempting new activities or goals is to aim for reasonable achievements, not impossible ones.

Begin small and, learn the ropes, and as your talents increase, expand into more lucrative and difficult markets.

3. When you do fail, fail in order to succeed.

If you should fail at a new activity, turn that failure into success. Don’t brood over your failures. Analyze them, Learn from them. Find out why you failed, and turn that knowledge into a better plan for success the next time you attempt a similar project. Then put your failure behind you. Don’t let it haunt you.

The next time you attempt a new undertaking, remember these three guidelines.

Here are a few tips for success in any endeavor.

Setting goals gives you a target to shoot for. If you never set a goal, you’ll never know if you’ve achieved anything. Setting a goal helps you to focus and either consciously or subconsciously make things happen that will lead to the achievement of that goal.

It is important to set both short-term and long-term goals. Short-term goals represent milestones along the road to success in achieving your primary goal. Also, when you succeed at your short-term goals, it gives you more confidence.

Write your goals down. Once you write something down, you are more likely to achieve it. That’s because it goes from being a vague idea to words on a paper that represent a clearly formed idea.

Continue to visualize your goal. The more you can visualize what it is you want to achieve, the more likely you are to actually succeed. When you can see it, hear it, feel it, taste it and touch it in your mind’s eye, the natural laws of manifestation are invoked.

So, decide what it is you really want to accomplish. Set the main goal. Then set up a series of short-term goals that lead you to that ultimate purpose. You might try having daily and weekly goals to keep you on track. Write it all down. Prepare for set backs and plan how to deal with them so that you can go on achieving your goals.

As you move along the path of achieving one goal after another, remember to keep a positive attitude. If you have the slightest doubt, do whatever you can to eliminate it and keep on working for your ultimate purpose.

Ignore negative people. Don’t let your own negative thoughts or anyone else’s stand in the way of achieving your goals. Wherever you can, include other people as long as they are positive. Let them help you achieve your goals even faster.

These are my personal tips for finding happiness.

Have you heard the saying, “Happiness is not a place”?

I’ve travelled quite a lot and I can tell you that happiness may not be a place, but there are certain places I’ve been where I’ve felt happier than others. Some cities are downright miserable. It’s as if they are plagued by something evil. They are full of crime and official corruption. In those places you’ll usually find a lot of unhappy people, too.

Therefore, my first rule for finding happiness is to choose to live in a place where you feel good. If possible (and I know it is getting harder), try to find a place where you feel safe from criminals. You cannot be happy if you are living with physical threats and intimidation. Find a town or rural area that makes you feel happy and generally unafraid. Chances are if you’re in a place like that, you’ll find a lot of other happy people.

Don’t stay working at a job that makes you miserable. Corporatism is a trap. The whole system from the first day of your education to your last is a scam to get you used to the idea of enslaving yourself to one of these soulless entities. Now, don’t decide to quit your job over night! But, begin making a plan to do so. Go into business for yourself doing something. Look into home business opportunities or consider skills you have that you can sell and make a viable business of.

Avoid negative people and purposely seek out positive ones. Go where people are working to achieve their goals and fulfill their life’s purpose. Try a business organization, spiritual gathering, church or charity. Volunteer at your local library or school. Join the local community theater. Do something to get involved with other people who are doing something positive.

Get out of the house. If you already have a home business – like freelance writing, for example – that can turn you into a recluse, make a point of getting out amongst the living. Even if you just go for a scenic drive, get away from your desk.

Get some furry friends. Pets can enhance the quality of your life. They can bring happiness to otherwise dull and hum-drum surroundings. They represent a small investment, but they will bring you more in return than you spend. Studies show that pets are good for your health.

Every day do something you want to do. Go for a scenic walk. Go to the gym. Paint a picture. Write a poem. Plant a flower. Watch the birds. Read a book. Think of the simple things that make you feel good and make a point of doing those things.

Make a point of focusing your thoughts on pleasant ideas. You control your own mind and you can choose to think about all of the bad things that have happened to you or the good ones. Choose those things thoughts that make you feel good and mentally stop yourself when you begin reliving unpleasant events.

These are just a few ideas. You probably won’t be able to do all of it over night, so just choose the best ideas and go for it. Soon, you will feel happier.
