Beware because the day may come where society has no need of you.

Society on the whole could decide everyone over 65 is a burden.

Why not do away with them all, Euthanasia for all Seniors.

This could never happen you say, we murder our babies why not?

Life is life, human is human,no one is more worthy then another.

Only criminals that seek to hurt others should ever be denied,

the priviledges we have a God given right to.

I choose a Higher law when people forget morality.

For men who cheat, the phrase “boys will be boys” is applied, and for those who manage to not cheat, well they’re congratulated like a puppy who is finally house-trained. Do men not find this practice at all condescending? And also, if you are one of those men who revel in being given permission by society to be as base a human being as possible, how do you know that what you’re doing is just human nature, or societal conditioning instead?

There are no theories that all women cannot give in to any naked man standing in front of them. Does this mean that in reality more is expected from women, morally and intellectually? Why don’t men demand the same level of respect? For centuries they supposedly were above females, and the promiscuity of men was a power tool, rather than what it is now, just sad. It’s ironic that it has come full circle on them, a practice that served them in the past merely makes men little boys with big toys these days. Boys to be looked down upon by the more evolved females. Why men stand for this degradation, I don’t know.

Are men REALLY so primitive that they cannot think for themselves? That they are always controlled by their sex drive? I would think that many intelligent men find this societal theory as patronising as discrimination was towards women.

Perfecting this activity has plagues the human race for several millenia. Every once in a while you might come across a dog on YouTube who has learnt to walk on its hind legs but most will agree that the act of walking sets humans apart from their mortal counterparts. If you have found your way to this website never having walked before, I congratulate you for finally attempting to learn. Before you try, I must warn you that starting off is the most difficult part, but will become much easier as you get more experienced in the matter.

Sometimes when you’re learning something new, it’s a good idea to practice something more difficult so what you’re learning seems easy. Therefore, it’s important you learn how to do a back-flip before you walk. Please consume your spinach and push off the ground with your legs as hard as possible and throw your arms and torso backwards. There is a risk you will land on your back or head but let’s just hope that doesn’t happen. Once you have perfected the back-flip, we can extrapolate this skill to learning how to stand up.

Similar to doing a back-flip, standing up involves pushing at the ground with your legs. Once your knees are fully extended and you are balancing on your feet, you are successfully standing up. Learning this would usually take an average human months, but as you know how to do a back-flip already, it shouldn’t be a problem. As soon as you can comfortably balance on both feet, take one foot OFF the ground and place it in front of you. If you are able to do this, congratulations! You have taken a huge step in the direction of being able to walk (no pun intended). It’s time to relax and have a few drinks before you finally go the extra mile.

Before you brag about your achievement on your resumee, it’s important to learn how to walk continuously. Even though you are able to place one foot in front of another, it doesn’t quite match what you see everyone else doing. The trick is to lift your other foot and move it in front of the foot you moved first. By continuing this sequence, you are guaranteed to move forward. But, why is it unethical to give chimps the human version of the gene? After all, the fact that the human version is fixed (in humans) may mean that is doing something really important and giving us some ability that we shouldn’t toy around with. But, what evidence is there that the reverse is also true, and the chimpanzee harboring a human FOXP2 gene would face any problems at all?

This brings me to the topic of a recently introduced bill which would ban chimpanzee research altogether. This would not only subject the issue of chimp research to ethics committees who would probably not approve it, but ban it altogether.

There are substantial benefits in learning more about FOXP2 and other genes in which humans differ from chimpanzees. There is the intellectual benefit of learning what makes us special within nature, and how we differ from apes. There is the practical benefit of potentially easing the suffering of patients with damaged copies of genes that are fixed in the human lineage. Or, of understanding how language ability and cognition emerge, so that we can one day hope to create machines capable of it, freeing mankind from a great deal of toil.

And, there is the infinitesimal potential that we’ll end up with an unhappy chimp ready to organize the simian takeover of our planet. Thankfully, Pinky and the Brain do not give rise to the same levels of dread and insecurity, so, for the time being we still have the option of experimentation with mice.

Personally, I’m all for putting human FOXP2 in chimps and seeing what happens. And, I am rather dismayed that the scientific and political culture has become so risk-averse that an experiment that would bring no harm to any humans, that would benefit humans, and that may not, indeed, affect negatively the chimps involved is, nonetheless, rejected out of hand on the basis of the nebulous probability that it might.
