Why is small town mentality often not reflective of the world outside?

Why does violence and intolerance exist in our conemporary society? This is a philosophical question, and the best answer is that we should encounter the beast of intolerance within ourself.

Ignorance begets prejudice, and prejudice is opinion formed before one has adequate knowledge or experience.

I traveled a lot, both on land and sea. I need to travel monthly to go in my hometown to check the status of the business I’m handling. (I’m a bookkeeper), and I can’t forget this recent journey I had. Why? Because I experienced to sail on “mountainous” waves!

I am honestly so sick of reading things like "How to keep Muslims away from your neighbourhood" with advice on burying a pig on the potential construction site of a new mosque.

This piece distinguishes the difference between the term "stupid" and the clinical terms of "idiot," "imbecile," and "moron," and the general use of this word. It also clearly delineates the mentally-challenged and the mentally ill as compared to people of average intelligence who behave less intelligent than they are.
