Illegal and Medical use of Marijuana/Cannabis.

Marijuana also know as Cannabis is a flowering herb that is considered to be an illegal drug in most part of the world. Although deemed as an illegal drug it is also used for medical purposes. So many would ask the question why is it an illegal drug if it has medical use?

Why is Cannabis Illegal?

Cannibis was never prohibited until the 19th century for several reasons that proclaimed and made it into an illegal drug. Some of the reasons why Marijuana is said be illegal are:

It is an addictive drug and can affect a person’s mental health.

Said to have no accepted medical use (can be a contradicting statement).

It has been associated with other narcotics such as Heroin.

It is associated with unfashionable lifestyle and is considered as a drug for hippies and losers.

Medical Use:

Currently there are 2 oral forms of Cannabis (Cannabinoids) said to be available by prescription in the United States to treat nausea and vomiting concerned with cancer chemotherapy: Dronabinol (Marinol) and Nabilone (Cesamet). Dronabinol is also approved for the treatment of anorexia associated with AIDS.

There has been quite an interest in its use for treating a number of conditions such as: Glaucoma, AIDS wasting, treatment of spasticity associated with multiple sclerosis, Chemotherapy-induced nausea and Neuropathic pain.

Cannabis is also said to relieve pain and is also known to be beneficial in treating certain neurological illnesses such as Epilepsy and Bipolar disorder.

Cases have been reported where it was found that Marijuana was said to relieve Tics in people with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and Tourette Syndrome.

Cannabis is considered as another potential medicine for movement disorders. It is often reported to reduce the muscle spasms associated with Multiple Sclerosis.

This article is in no way suggesting or encouraging the use of Marijuana and as the writer implore that each individual who may read this article will obey the law of not using or having any Marijuana in their possession as there are consequences you will have to face to if caught by the relevant authorities with this drug.

“You are beneath arrest for the possession of Marijuana a controlled substance, you have the appropriate to stay silent, and something you say and do will be held against you in the court of law. Do you understand your rights?”

Does this sound familiar to you? Well stopping this from happening wouldn’t have been that hard if, you had no intention of selling the weed, and if you had no intentions of delivering the weed. (In diverse states the law alterations so appear up in your state the statue about Marijuana.)

I know your thinking that it doesn’t matter they discovered the weed I am busted, but that would be the response from some a single who doesn’t know their rights. Let me explain,

It is not illegal to have marijuana on you or in your automobile as extended as your not going to sell it or deliver it, and you simple explain this to the cop who discovered this and say “Yes I have marijuana, but according to the state statue (which you must keep in your glove box with you registration) it is only illegal to sell, or deliver or have the intent to do so with this substance and I was not undertaking any of those issues, and additionally if you do nevertheless proceed to arrest me, it will be beneath protest and duress.”And if you back up to when you were initial pulled more than ask yourself, “did you ask the officer concerns that he was asking you? For example, when he says “Do you know how rapidly you were going?” you must say “ a safe speed why?”
He will then ask for your drivers license and registration, give it to him but say this “Here you go, but just so you know I am not for employ and I am not in commerce which are the grounds that you are pulling me more than on so as soon as your done looking at that am I free to go?” if he must say no, which is most likely you could say “ Could you tell me what law states that I have to stay against my will, and are you intending to infringe on my contentment?” if he must say, which he will, “ Some state statue blah, blah, blah say’s that I can blah, blah ,blah and you have to blah, blah, blah.” Then you could say “ It is to my information that what you have just told me is a statue not a law and by you failing to offer me with a Lawful Law I feel I must be free to go.”
No cop is going to let you go without having a fight your only defense is yourself if you consent to them you are bending more than and letting the fuck you literally, if they study rights and you consent you have just offered them power more than you, when in reality you have power more than them. You only feel you don’t since they are intimidating and threatening. Bear in mind Generally ASK concerns, if they ask you a question make their question into your question put the cards in your hand!!!

And if you nevertheless wind up in the county jail house, which you might, as soon as you get out you must write an affidavit stating your case and claiming your innocence, also explain the events that unfolded when you were arrested. (if the officers hand in on his gun at any point that can be regarded a threat to you as a individual and you can use that in your defense, also if the cop is out of uniform you can use to, for any cop in street clothes and not in full uniform is regarded impersonating authority and is illegal if you know your rights.) Take your affidavit to the circuit courts and have it notarized and put in the method, odds are you won’t even go to court. Bear in mind to involve the state statue and how it doesn’t apply to you and that is for two causes, a single it isn’t Lawful Law , and you didn’t have any intent of undertaking something they’ve outlined in their statue. Excellent Luck

The history of marijuana.

Marijuana, cannabis, reefer, pot, Mary Jane. There are so many names for it but almost everyone knows what it is. Most people have tried it at least once in their life but how did it come about? When did it first start being used? Well here is the history of marijuana. I’ve researched this topic for almost a week now and I am amazed by how far back marijuana use goes.

The first documented marijuana use was in China in the year 2737 BC. It was used as a medical treatment. Shen Nung claimed that marijuana was great for gout, malaria, and believe it or not absent mindedness. The use of marijuana spread quickly into India then to North Africa and by the year 500 AD it was in Europe. It’s believed that the first fabrics were made of hemp.

By the 1200’s marijuana use had spread greatly. Its use was documented in the Middle East. It was popular among the Arab Muslims. The Muslims were forbidden to drink alcohol so many of them smoked cannabis.

Pot was first introduced to America in 1545 by the Spanish, when they came to the new world. In 1611 the English brought marijuana to Jamestown. It quickly became a popular commercial crop as well as tobacco. They discovered that it was a great source of fiber. In the year 1876 the sultan of Turkey gave marijuana to the US as a gift.

The first person to push for marijuana to become illegal was Harry Anslinger. He claimed that reefer made white women seek sexual relations with negros and claimed that marijuana was the most violence causing drug in the history of the United States. Marijuana became illegal in the US in 1937 when the marijuana tax law went into effect. The first conviction for selling marijuana was received by 58 year old Samuel R Caldwell. He was charged on October 2, 1937, the day the marijuana tax act went into effect. He was fined and sentenced to 4 years. He then died the year after his release.

One of the most controversial debates of the 20th and 21st centuries... MJ is about to get legal in some American states!

This recently on the news:

“Efforts to legalize marijuana for recreational use are gaining momentum in Washington state and Colorado, despite fierce opposition from the federal government and a decades-long cultural battle over America’s most commonly used illicit drug.”

My question is simple: why is it illegal in the first place? It’s a tree – a plant – just like many other plants that grow naturally all over the world! I mean, the Cacao is a naturally growing plant also, and it is the prime raw material for chocolate – they didn’t make that one illegal! The Palm is the source for all kinds of products used all over the world – saw palmetto, palm oil, coconut; they didn’t make that illegal either! And then there is tobacco, allegedly killling thousands of human beings all over the world every single hour, and even after sixty-some years since the fight has begun they still haven’t been able to get the proper legislation to make that illegal!!!

MJ isn’t even addictive, you know! I smoked the darned thing for the greater part of six years – loved the “high” too – but when I quit, it was cold-turkey. Wish I could say the same for nicotine, though. Now THAT darned thing is legal all over the world, but dropping people like flies in a chemical gas chamber! Hooked to it for almost twenty years and been off of it for the most part of five… and I’m still having trouble keeping a straight face when I see someone smoking on TV, or a catch a whiff of it in a public place.

But I ain’t asking them to illegalize tobacco – absolutely not! It’s a natural product and folks can do with it what they like! In a similar way, I’m saying “pot,” “MJ,” “Mary-J,” “Mary-Jane,” or just plain marijuana ain’t supposed to be illegal either. In any case, if you make it legal, you run the Mexican and Colombian drug cartels out of business faster than you can sing “Because I Got High!”

If you think I’m right, how about you click “Like,” and if you think I’m wrong, why don’t you say it in the comment section below? I’d like to know why you think one of God’s greatest gifts to humanity should be made illegal by us.

SOPA and PIPA - Yet another Cause for the Bandwagon Protesters to Adopt

In the future, when historians look back at the early 21st century. They will come to refer to the time as the Bandwagon Protester movement.

There is no doubt that the Arab Spring is a worthwhile movement to follow and support. However, what I find most annoying are the insignificant and selfish quasi movements.

At the end of 2011 we were almost duped into falling for the Occupy movement. If you are a little unsure about this one – I will remind you. It is a group of white middle class people, the men usually have dreadlocks protesting about I think, Capitalism, whilst drinking Starbucks coffee and coordinating the protest with their Dell laptop or Blackberry. I say I think they are protesting about Capitalism, because they are not really sure themselves. There is also something about the richest 1% and globalisation attached to it as well.

I don’t understand the idiots who decide to protest about Capitalism, it is something that has existed since our ancestors first started trading. Without Capitalism, the modern world as we know it would not exist.

What is wrong with some people being richer than the majority? We all strive to be successful, wealthy and in possession of a better quality of life. To then complain when others achieve this stinks of bitterness and jealousy – GROW UP!!

So this brings us nicely onto SOPA and PIPA – yet another cause that the misinformed and sheep like majority have decided to jump on. These two Bills, have now been suspended – No idea why.

There appears to be a growing number of people who use the internet that believe that they are entitled to everything – This being classified information, illegal downloaded music or films, pirated software and whatever else one get for nothing. Not only do these people believe that they should get everything for free, they also believe that their opinions are relevant or important.

Collectively we seemed to have lost the power to rationalise or to see the other side of an argument. Millions of dollars are spent developing or making music, film or software. Surely there should be laws in place to protect against piracy and allow the developers to profit from their endeavours… Well there are. Piracy laws do exist, but are flouted and ignored by all of us once we go online. Because of the continued disregard of piracy laws, it was felt that dedicated Bills had to be brought in.

The internet sheep believe that these Bills infringe their liberty and freedom, what about the liberty of the developers, film makers or music makers – Does that not matter?

Wikipedia and Google are the biggest names to voice concern over these proposed Bills. I find the concerns of Google to be quite disgusting as they make millions advertising illegal downloading, file sharing and free software sites whenever you use the search engine.

I have a rule of thumb. If the majority are following something – I choose the minority vote.

Remember also – there are still people starving in the world, without any form of education or medical care – is it really important if SOPA and PIPA ever go through?

Finally, if you disagree with my views – form a protest group, I am sure some arsehole will join.

Is drug use a symptom of economic problems, racial inequality, and degraded family values, it is drug use the cause of these issues?

Personal Choice?

Economic and social problems such as unemployment, racial inequality, and degraded family values do not cause drug problems. People who choose to use drugs bring these problems upon themselves. Attempting to justify drug use with economic or social problems is just an excuse; the truth is that people willingly and freely make choices for themselves.

Our environments may dictate how easily we can access drugs, but that does not mean that everyone who is unemployed, racially discriminated against, or raised in a bad home ends up a drug addict. We make this choice personally based on our individual ethical standards and moral beliefs. In short, drug use is a personal choice, not a symptom of other problems.

Drugs Are Used for Many Reasons

People from all backgrounds choose to use drugs. There are addicts, recreational users, and even medicinal users. In many cases, drugs are legally justified in some situations, but illegal in others. For example, cocaine derivatives are used as an anesthetic in some kinds of surgery, but use of cocaine on the street carries heavy legal penalties. Marijuana has been in the spotlight for years now; there is a huge debate over whether or not this drug should be legal. Some states have legalized it for medical use, such as prescribing it as a pain medication to cope with cancer treatments.

Other drugs are prescribed by doctors for rehabilitation purposes. Heroin addicts can go to rehab and get a prescription for methadone; the prescription is meant to slowly wean them off of the drug to help prevent a relapse. Despite the laws defining what is and is not legal drug use, people still choose to use drugs illegally. Now that we have considered the many different kinds of drug use, we must accept that drug use in just about any context is a personal choice. Granted, there are times when people are forced to use drugs, such as tranquilizer-type drugs like GHB, roofies, or ketamine; but for the most part, drug addicts have used their own free will do become addicts, even if they did not intend to become addicted.

Every Social Class Uses Drugs

So, who uses drugs? Sure, there are plenty of unemployed people that use drugs. They may use drugs as a way to cope with the hopelessness they feel as a result of the unemployment, but not everyone who is unemployed uses drugs. Even well-off people with great jobs use drugs. Many doctors, actors, singers, and other upper-class people are drug addicts. The fact that both unemployed and well employed people are addicted to drugs makes the argument invalid; unemployment does not cause drug use.

What about the suggestion that certain races use drugs more than others? I believe that these suggestions are biased. Government surveys may indicate that certain areas and ethnicities use drugs more heavily, but these results may be skewed because upper-class people are less likely to be caught and arrested for the problem. It is not fair to say that some ethnicities use drugs more than others just because police arrest more of them.

Freedom and Willpower

Honestly, there is no definite way to know how many people of each race in the US use drugs, but one thing is for sure: every community and ethnicity is affected by drug use. What about people who were raised in bad homes with poor family values? Certainly they will be drug users, right? Wrong. Although how you were raised shapes who you are, it does not take away your ability to make choices. Each and every one of us has the right and the willpower to make choices for ourselves; people make both good and bad decisions. We can see that people from the lower, middle, and upper classes are all affected by drug use. Family values throughout each class vary, and yet all classes of society are affected by drugs. No matter how you were raised, you make your own choices. Some people choose to use drugs, while others decide not to.

Based on my analysis, I do not think that solving the problems of unemployment, racial inequality, or diminished family values will cause drug use to decline. Solving these problems may make the citizens happier and boost their morale, but it is not likely that it will affect drug use that much. Drug use happens because people willingly make the choice to use drugs.

How one Russian got more than he bargained for when he bought some wooden crates for firewood.

Itzhevsk Arsenal Museum, Russia

An article on the BBC website has brought a whole new meaning to the words “fire” wood.

An inhabitant of the Russian village of Udmurtia bought some crates with the aim of using them for firewood but discovered that, with this innocent purchase he had also gained his own armoury! Some of the crates contained Kalashnikov rifles and parts!!

The man who had bought 64 crates off the back of a lorry, discovered he had 79 Kalashnikov rifles and parts in total. Thankfully he was totally honest and reported this treasure trove to a local policeman who put into action a thorough investigation as to how they had found their way into the public domain.

The investigations unearthed that the army issue rifles had been delivered for scrap to Izhmash arms plant in Izhevsk, the crates had then be used for collecting rubbish before the lorry driver, working for a private firm, had been tasked with transporting the rubbish to a local dump. However, on the journey to the waste disposal site he thought he could make a few roubles on the side and sold off the crates thinking they had all been empty! Amongst this stock (plus lock and barrel!) were rifles, magazines and other rifle parts.

Unfortunately the powers that be are not entirely satisfied with the explanation and a fuller investigation is underway to decide whether these rifles were in fact thrown out accidentally or whether there’s a more sinister reason for them being in the crates. It’s now being considered that perhaps the weapons were being smuggled through to an organisation who would consequently sell them off illegally.

It’s known that the crates were initially taken to the high security installation so it seems extremely unlikely the weapons would have been overlooked. If they were overlooked then I suspect the boss of the installation may well find himself fired from his position as well as being under fire from prosecutors!!

By way of a bit of background. The Kalashnikov rifle was developed by one Mikhail Kalashnikov who was born in 1919. He had 18 siblings! In 1938 just prior to the second world war he was conscripted into the notorious Red Army and became a tank driver and mechanic, eventually being elevated to the rank of Senior Sergeant. He was injured in 1941 during the second world war and, during his six months in hospital recuperating, he spoke to some of his comrades who stressed they were dissatisfied with the current weapons that the army were issuing. So Kalashnikov set about designing a new sub machine gun. Unfortunately it was dismissed by the services but it could instantly be seen that Kalashnikov had the potential to produce something out of the ordinary and so began his rifle designing career, culminating in his “claim to fame”, the well respected, internationally renowned Kalashnikov.

It’ll certainly be interesting to learn whether this discovery was just down to negligence or indeed whether the arms were illegally destined for some far flung battle zone!

Is spanking really a useful parenting tool?

Corporal punishment is a very controversial subject. It seems that people become very passionate about spanking and they tend to make judgments about the intents and heart of parents who either do spank or don’t. It’s important to remember that every good parent loves their children and want the best for them. There are many ways we can parent but I do believe it’s important to let parents decide in their own homes the best methods to raise their children.

Now, saying that, I do believe that corporal punishment is an extremely valuable tool in our toolbox of discipline and child rearing. It’s not our only tool. We use time-outs and groundings from time to time but we do use spanking frequently.

There are many situations where I think spanking can be invaluable. When a child is throwing a fit, they are no longer in a position to reason rationally. Nothing brings a child out of a tantrum faster than a stern “no” and a controlled spanking. Other situations are times of extreme danger. We are all familiar with the slap on the fingers to stop a child from burning themselves in fire. There is no time to explain but a quick solution needs to be administered. Defiance is absolutely never tolerated in our home. When a child looks you straight in the face and says, “NO!” That in our home is a spanking offense.

Whenever a child is disciplined and this is for spanking, time-outs, or groundings, it’s extremely important for a parent to be in control, to be consistent, and to explain why the child is being disciplined. In our household, we generally take our child into the bathroom where we explain what they have done, we spank them (or decide on another form of discipline), when we are convinced that the child is truly repentant, we have them ask for forgiveness and then we give them a big hug and affirm our love for them. We also explain that our love is unconditional and not based upon their repentance. Then it’s done and we move on as if it never took place.

Some might still try to convince me that spanking is wrong, and to them I would explain that we believe first and foremost that spanking is a biblical principle. Many have probably heard the proverb from scripture that says, “Whoever spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is diligent to discipline him.” Now as a fairly conservative Christian, I believe wholeheartedly that this proverb is truth from God. Who better to get parental advice from then God himself. If the law ever makes spanking illegal, I’ll have to decide whether I disobey the law in order to do what is best for my children.

It’s not just some religious concept either though; I have seen the results of spanking in my house. Our children rarely throw fits, they are energetic and happy children but for the most part they quickly hear us and respect us and obey us. I see parents who never spank their kids and the disrespect that those children get away with and I have to give a sigh of relief. As hard as it is to be a consistent, loving, disciplinarian, it is far harder to be a parent of an undisciplined child.

...,,,,...,,,,....,,,,...,,,,....,,,,...

The American government is pummeling into rubble and no one, i repeat no one truly sees the dangers ahead of us. Our rights are being stripped. We can be condemned as terrorists just for disagreeing with our governments decisions. And what do we do? Nothing as usual. We sit and continue being silenced. We are dehumanized by our very leaders. This article is not terrorism. It’s truth. It’s the now and the future for us Americans… and the rest of the world. Whether you choose to believe or not, illuminati exists. It is very possible illuminati isn’t a select group of people either. It is very possible it is everything we believe is good and evil all working together. There are no good guys, there are no bad guys… There is just us THE PEOPLE of the ENTIRE WORLD and the wealthy. The fiends that try to take power… that are in power… the mainstream media… They all exercise the same things… Censorship… Extortion… Torture…

As of now the world is exercising a protest. Today’s date 12/10/2011… Peaceful protests with no absolute leadership… no real communication… no real progress… If you haven’t seen the movie V for Vendetta I RECCOMEND you do so. Pay attention to detail in the film. It uses shadows and comparisons of what is happening today, yesterday, and what can happen in the future. We may be slaves to power and money… like we have always been but on a much smaller scale. Imagine curfews in affect, having to wear badges or I.D. necklaces. Having to carry around a card similar to what the Jew’s had to do when the Nazi’s were in power… I am not talking just in the U.S.A… I’m talking world wide.

I believe peaceful protests are a good idea right now don’t get me wrong I am not ordering anyone to be violent… because in the end it is true… that is all that our leaders around the world want us to do. They want to push that red button to put us in our place.

We as people need to take steps, in order to truly be free. Every ones dream around the world no matter who you are is a utopia. Yes this may be physically impossible because of differences to be a perfect society, but imagine… Just imagine a world where money doesn’t matter… enemies become one… the greedy perish in the distant mist… and we are FREE. Free of oppression, depression, censorship, torture, judgement. I do not care what religion you are, or your political stand point. At the end it doesn’t matter, We are all the same, we bleed red, we all laugh, we all cry. We all love, we all hate. We are all the same. Black, white, Hispanic, Asian, albino, pink, blue, green, doesn’t matter.

We need to link arms and make what we believe in happen. In the end there are truly more of us than there is of them. Imagine swarms of billions of people stepping up to one mega giant greedy bastard, with an order of fashion. It’s truly not anarchy, it’s peace… between all people… all together as one. They have weapons, but we have numbers. You can only destroy so much, then before you know another tidal wave splashes ashore and rocks the world. Whether you believe in god or not, what ever you believe in we all actually believe in the same thing. Just remember that. We all look to BE AS ONE. We all want love. Real love.

I’ve been through so much in my life and I am only 21 years old. Things have driven me to hate the world, figuratively. In the end all I want is to be loved, just like everyone else. Who says all we have to do is look for that one person… yes you should find him or her… but what if we find a way to all love each other. I challenge every single one of you who read this. I want you to quit judging and just try to understand people, this is the first step to conquering the world. Love each other, trust each other, be honest to each other… After we do that… We are unstoppable…

YOU DECIDE… what is tomorrow’s date.

Ah, the law. It is essentially intended to be the basis of rules by which the hundreds, thousands, millions or even billions of people live by so that peace and harmony reigns.

By guest writter, Monica Risam Nicklin, US/UK attorney

Lady Justice. (Wikipedia image)

Laws don’t always make sense. Listed below, for your edification, are a few random laws that, well, make one wonder just how far lawmakers would regulate peace and harmony.

In France, for example, it is illegal for the owner of a pig to call it “Napoleon.” Chances are, though, this law probably came about during the reign of Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte, who might have had good reason to pass this law.

In Thailand, it is illegal to leave one’s house while not wearing underwear.

It is forbidden to bring bears to the beach in Israel. Frankly, I think it goes without saying for whatever part of the world one is in.

Being intelligent is a legal requirement to enter college in China. Ooo-kay.

No vehicle without a driver may exceed 60 miles per hour. Personally, if I saw a vehicle without a driver traveling at 60 miles per hour on the highway, I’d call it a miracle.

In the grand state of New York, the penalty for jumping off a building is death. Err, what?

In the city of Seattle, Washington, it is illegal to carry a concealed weapon that is over six feet in length. Applies only to the likes of Yao Ming and the Big Show, I suppose.

All electronic games are banned in Greece. So much for Pac-Man.

In cleanliness-conscious Singapore, it is illegal to pee in an elevator. Given that some laws tend to be reactive in nature, i.e., passed in response to a particular need, this does say something, I suppose.

Kudos to Mexico, for despite all that that is going on there, they are concerned about the safety of bicycle riders, for it is illegal for the latter to lift their feet off their bicycles’ pedals.

I’m sure there are a lot more laws out there which would make one scratch one’s head. Good luck with the research, and as a parting tidbit – watch out, Scotsmen, should you go to Italy! There, you could be arrested for wearing a skirt.
