What doctors and nurses don’t tell us is that our unborn children have a heartbeat and the ability to experience physical pain before we even know that we are pregnant. They don’t tell us in laymen terms how we will feel or what we will experience when the abortion procedure is completed. When I speak with my children about abortion I tell them how it really is. There are different types of abortion; however, the most common forms are a D&C and salt poisoning. I am not writing this to disgust people or enrage people but if you or someone you love is contemplating abortion then you need to read this article through.

Using what I call “The Human Effect” , I describe abortion to my children in this way: When the doctor performs a D&C abortion the mother lies on a table while the doctor inserts a tube in her paralyzed cervix and dismembers the developing baby, who by this time does have nerve pain and a heartbeat. The dismembered baby is suctioned from the mother’s womb in pieces that can be recognized in some cases. After the baby is removed from the womb the doctor scrapes the inside of the uterus, which can cause profuse bleeding. I ask my children to think about how this baby must feel and how they think they might feel if they knew in advance how this baby was aborted.

The form of salt poisoning is even more severe to the baby and the mother because it can be done at a later time in pregnancy. During salt poisoning a needle is inserted into the mother’s abdomen where a concentrated salt mixture is injected into the amniotic fluid sac. This salt mixture slowly burns the skin from the baby’s body and the child spends as much as an hour suffering through a death process. The mother then must deliver a stillborn baby. This method is not a common practice anymore and to the best of my knowledge has all but been abandoned, though the process may still happen in some places.

Partial -Birth Abortion was legal until about 2003 but was not fully upheld by federal law until 2007. In a partial birth abortion the doctors actually delivered the baby, alive, and then inserted a needle and suction into the brain and killed the living child. Even though it is illegal now , it still happens. The punishment for performing a Partial-Birth Abortion is two years imprisonment, and that is only if they are caught.

I personally have never had an abortion and never felt the need to. I was a teen mother at the age of 16 but abortion never entered my mind as an option. I have had close friends whom have had abortions and i can testify that the doctors and nurses do not prepare you for what you will experience after the fact. The emotional upheaval and the guilt are enough to bring anyone down. My children witnessed the emotional after effects that abortion can bring upon you and I think watching it was enough to make them never consider abortion as an option. You will likely go through bouts of crying and near hysteria. You can be happy one second and utterly depressed the next. When you see a baby it makes your emotions go awry all over again. The emotional as well as physical consequences to abortion are just not worth it.

I am obviously pro-life but this is not the reason for this article, I want people to understand what they and their baby will go through if abortion is the option they choose. I understand not being ready to raise a child and I understand rape and incest and all the other reasons why people choose abortion and for that I do not fault them. I was a victim of both rape and incest and the pain to me and my unborn baby would not be worth having an abortion. There is always adoption.

Think long and hard about this article before you choose abortion as an option, please.

The fetus is NOT a baby

Does not abortion destroys a human being? An important article in our newspaper ( “What is an abortion and why women should have that right – Life can not and should not be preserved forever” ASK., Revolutionary Worker # 1266, January 30, 2005 ) answered that question this way:

“Is it true that the fetus is a way of life? Sure. I live cells, growing and processing energy, has the capacity to mature and reproduce, has a genetic system and so on.

“Will an abortion this way of life?” Yes, of course.

“Well, then abortion is not killing another human being? No, of course not.

“A fetus is not yet a human being. It’s more like a seed or germ of a human being.’s Alive, but also all other living cells of the female body. It has no life of its own. There is no separate life from the life of the woman in whose uterus is. “

Abortion is NOT killing

The ruling of the Supreme Court is full of lies and distortions about abortion, the fetus and woman. This starts with the name of the law itself: the “Law of the ban on partial-birth abortion.” Speaking doctors, there is no “partial-birth abortion.” The abortion of a fetus has nothing to do with the birth of a child. The Christian Fascists invented the term “partial-birth abortion” to mean that you are killing a “baby” to be born to “three inches of birth.”

The vast majority of abortions, 99%, occur long before the fetus can function independently of the woman and is to be born. In addition, 90% of abortions are done in the first three months of pregnancy (1 to 13 weeks from the last menstrual period), when the fetus is just beginning to form. At the end of time, the fetus is still only a little over an inch. That is the best time for an abortion: it is easier, with no complications and is cheaper.

But sometimes the woman can not have the abortion in that quarter. 87% of the counties have no doctors who perform abortions, so you have to miss work or school and travel long distances to have an abortion.

Most states have severe restrictions that require waiting periods, parental notification or permission for minors. Many women, especially young women, have no money, thanks to a ban on federal funding for abortion.

In addition, sometimes the pregnancy tests are wrong or failed birth control and the woman realizes she is pregnant until months later. (The rule may fail for many reasons, including stress). And especially in this climate unscientific, sexual antieducación, pro-abstinence, many young people do not understand how the reproductive system. Today, some pharmacies do not even carry products for birth control.

Once you have started the second trimester of pregnancy, and can not do the simple suction abortion. Although the procedure does not present major problems, is more complicated and fewer clinics and doctors who can do it. Although the fetus can not survive independently even of women (even at the end of the second quarter), and is larger and must be removed in pieces. This procedure is called dilation and evacuation (D & E).

Only about 1% of abortions take place after the second quarter, when “viability”, or when the fetus can survive independently of women. During this period only have abortions if tests detect serious medical abnormalities of the fetus, as in cases of hydrocephalus (an extreme deformity of the skull and brain), or if the woman’s health is in grave danger. It is here that doctors use another procedure.

The myth of “partial-birth abortion” and the reality of the aggression against women

Federal law bans a medical procedure called intact dilation and evacuation (D & X), which requires out (extracting) the fetus intact, that means collapsing the skull so it can pass through the pelvis. No matter what they say the patriarchs of the Supreme Court, it is an abortion and not a “partial birth.”

Some doctors think that D & X is the safest procedure for some women, but no longer have that option, even if they determine that women’s health is in danger. The ruling of the Supreme Court Roe vs. Wade, which legalized abortion, put limits on third trimester abortions after fetal viability, but expressly stated that there could be exceptions to safeguard the health of women. The new law overrides this crucial and essential part of the right to abortion.

In addition, federal law is written so that it could be interpreted (as acknowledged by the authors and as recognized by the lower courts) that also applies to all procedures D & E, that is, the most common and safest was used in 90% of second trimester abortions.

TEEN ABORTION 

With The United States having the highest teen pregnancy rate in the industrialized worldve more and more teenagers are considering abortion. From my point of view it is sad to seem more and more blogs on the internet in which young girls from the ages 13-19 post how they think it is OK to get an abortion because they turned out pregnant and they don’t want to ruin their lives. Many claim that they are too young to have babies and that there is a time and place for everything. I do agree that there is a time for everything but doesn’t that also mean that if they are not ready for the responsibility then they are not ready for intercourse as well.

Many Young girls post that they have the right to a happy successful life with out having to carry the burden of a child and that God will understand. Many teens undergo abortion with out their parents ever know they were even pregnant I am not sure how that is possible since I believe that if they are a minor they should not be treated without the parents approval. What is even worse is that public schools themselves allow students to leave school to get abortions without notifying the parents or guardians. They even drive them to the hospital themselves.

I feel that abortion is not an option. There is no reason to why we should be able to kill an innocent creature. And if the case is about not keeping the baby I am sure that there are plenty of people who would be willing to adopt. At such a young age teens don’t yet understand life never the less about giving life to their own wonderful creation but maybe one day they will grow to understand and will regret the bad choice they made by taking a way a life.

Here are some things you might want to look at if you are considering abortion.

In the first twelve weeks, suction abortions are performed. This procedure involves breaking the fetus up into small pieces that are then vacuumed into a small tube. At twelve weeks, this “fetus” has a heart beat, can cry, and it can definitely feel pain.

• At sixteen weeks, salt poisoning is performed. The doctor injects a strong saline solution into the baby’s sac, causing the child to dry up. Within 24 hours, the mother goes into labor, and often, if the child is born alive, it is neglected and left to die. Rarely a child will miraculously survive and be given up for adoption.
• At eighteen weeks, dilation and evacuation are performed. This procedure uses forceps to twist and tear the child’s bones until it is totally dismembered.
• At six months, a time when many premature children are born and able to survive, the woman can have a Caesarean Section. Only, instead of gently removing the baby from the womb and bringing it into the world, the doctors cut the umbilical chord while the baby is still in the womb, causing it to suffocate.
• Around thirty-two weeks, the child begins to dream, and from this point to birth, a woman can have a partial-birth abortion. In this method of abortion, the baby is pulled out of the birth canal feet first except for its head. The doctor jams scissors into the baby’s skull, opens them, and the child’s brains are then sucked out.
