Planing an Insurance for Your Iphone; Not a Good Idea.

Iphones similar to any other smart phones on the market are incredibly sensible to falls and hits. You never want to breakyour current cell phone but harmful things can occur. I was thinking about the possibility of an insurance for your iphone. The flaws with insurances is that they just do not handle all the issues that can come up when using a smart cell phone.

If you happen to have trouble with your Iphone that simply cannot be protected by an insurance than it is better to order another device. Try not to go for a new cellphone because it is too expensive. You can try and see if you can get a replacement for your Apple iphone. There are local sellers that can give you an functioning Apple iphone in return of your defective one. You will definitely get a good machine for a small price and you may well continue your regular life. By utilizing this method you can get good cell phone deals. You could get a cell phone that is much better than your used one.

Another substitute for an insurance is to try and fix the phone on your own. If you are a guy that has a little bit of expertise in DIY you can attempt a fix at home. You can find replacement parts online. These are not original parts but they are good enought. It is better to read the reviews of other folks that have bought the same part. If you see good opinions then you can buy it. To install the new part you should use the internet again. You will find thorough instructions on youtube or other sites. By applying this method you can save lots of money, but you have the risk of breaking the phone beyond repair.

Insurances are not the best way to protect your cell phone. Actually many companies try to make bundle packs that become cell phone deals. These packs consist of a phone and an insurance paid for a time period. There is a glitch using these offers. Usually you will get a discount for the phone, but the insurance fee will be very high and you will be paying a lot more money than for a phone without insurance policy. You must weigh the benefits of each decision which you make. I would not choose an insurance mainly because I think that I will never get back my dollars. I prefer to repair the phones myself. If you think that you can do it your self, choose my way and lower your expenses

As a former journalism professor I keep noticing a gradual transition from traditional to New Media that not only covers news instantaneously but are adding fuel to these events.

Remember in grade school how you wanted to write the class newsletter. Middle school followed and you volunteered to do it again. There was high school and things really got started when you volunteered to be the managing editor. You simply have what is known as a “nose for news” – a passion that drives your journalistic instincts. It is in your blood. Not everyone is smitten by this early interest, but some are.

Traditional Media

Traditional media has fascinated man before the printing of Gutenberg’s Bible in 1456. Over hundred of years there have been newsletters, newspapers and magazines. These were followed by the invention of radio, TV, cable and the Internet in the 20th century.

In the past many journalists opted for being either in print or the electronic media. Some chose specialties in the arts, science and technology, others in sports, business, or agriculture.

Choices

Some former students pursuing a career in journalism went straight from high school to work at their local media in small towns across America. Others chose to attend universities with majors either in speech, communication, radio-TV, film, or journalism. Mass media schools were in demand. Presently, the three best journalism schools in the nation are at Missouri, Northwestern, and Columbia. Competition is fierce to be accepted in these schools although there has recently been a decline in the demand for journalists in companies.

Seeking Experience

Going to a good school is the best route to begin a successful career in the media. Fortunately, I attended the University of Oregon, Eugene, Ore, where I obtained a BS in in Radio-TV-Film and had the opportunity of honing my broadcasting skills at KWAX-FM while working at one of Oregon’s experimental TV stations directing shows.

Through an internship I went on to Brooklyn College of CUNY, where I did a MS in Speech, while producing and directing TV shows at BCTV that were aired on WNET-TV and WNYC-TV. As I was completing this degree, I was hired at CBS in New York City as a desk assistant where I was an understudy to the network journalists. Afterwards, I joined the mass communications faculty of SUNY at Oswego, where I taught courses that included TV Production and Directing.

At the end of my second year, I left Oswego to pursue a doctorate at the School of Journalism, University of Missouri, Columbia. There, I was baptized by the Missouri’s system that was intensive and demanding. I worked relentlessly at the Columbia Missourian, wrote news stories for KBIA-FM – affiliated to PBS, and shot news footage for KOMU-TV – an ABC affiliate.

I joined organizations like the American Journalism Historians Association (AJHA), Broadcast Education Association (BEA), National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ), and the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC). Through these organizations anyone will be able to attend seminars and conventions like I did, where there are representatives from companies displaying their cutting edge technologies.

Employment

In 1978, on graduation with a Ph.D. in International Journalism and Broadcasting, I was hired at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, where I taught for a year before relocating to Norfolk State University, Va. I eventually became chair and graduate coordinator of Mass Communications and Journalism Department and director of WNSB-FM. I worked diligently in this department for 25 years before retiring. While at that Norfolk State, I wrote dozens of papers and articles on the mass media and Make Better Videos with Your Camcorder (1991), TAB Books, and co-edited two others.

New Media

Today, the New Media has taken front stage. Some universities have begun making adjustments to their curriculum. No longer is there a distinction for various tracks as they were previously known in journalism schools and departments. Students have been adjusting well to this new reality.

Reporting of news has become almost instantaneous. Any blogger or person on a social network can scoop traditional media that once had extensive budgets, foreign correspondents in major cities around the world, and many beat reporters in the field.

To be versatile, a journalist has to be comfortable with new media, know its strengths, limitations, and let it work for him. For, on us has dawned laptop computers, a new age of IPhones and IPads, that are not only

used in covering events but are adding fuel to them, like in the Spring revolution in the Middle East and Occupy Wall Street Movement in this country.

Want to get your kids away from their electronics? Try these activities to help bring your kids out of their technological world.

With iphones, ipods, video games, movies and television, kids these days are living in a very narrow world. Their life experiences seem quite limited and it’s becoming increasingly easy for them to tune out. To build a relationship with your kids, it is very important to pull them out of the electronic world, and help them to become more rounded kids. These family activities will help you bond and open the doors of communication with your children, and help them decompress from the narrow world of electronic entertainment.

Family Bike Ride

Dust off those helmets and pump up those tires. Family bike rides are a great way to explore your local trails and parks while getting exercise and bonding as a family.

Local Wave Pool

Head to the local wave pool for some family fun. This is great for all ages. The little ones can play in the wave pool while older ones can hit the lap pools or the diving boards, or relax in the hot tub.

Family Games

Pull out those old games you had as a kid; nothing beats those. Life, Yahtzee, Monopoly; you know the ones. They were great then and they are great now. Playing games around the dining table creates trust and a wonderful relaxed atmosphere for open communication.

Walk a Dog

Local SPCA’s and animal shelters are always looking for volunteers to walk their dogs. This is especially suited to older children. It’s a great way to show them how to be good citizens in their community and teach compassion for animals.

Puzzles

Working on a large puzzle together as a family is a great way to encourage unity and a sense of accomplishment as a group and family unit. The larger the puzzle the more time it takes and creates a reason to keep sitting down together.

Weekend Getaway

Take a few hundred dollars and rent a hotel room in another city an hour’s drive away. Make sure you find one with an indoor pool. Spend the day exploring a different city and then at night enjoy the pool with the kids and maybe play a card game later in the hotel room or stay up all night talking.

Art Project

Haul out the clay, the paints, the pipe cleaners or what have you. Learn to paint together or build a model. When was the last time you visited a hobby store together? Pick out a great craft you can all do together, such as making candles. This is something that the kids will cherish as they look back on their childhood.

Cooking

Make a family meal together. Try something totally new. Maybe have an ethnic food night where you pick one night a week to try a new menu. Get all the kids involved, even the little ones, who can do something simple like grate the cheese or gather the ingredients from the fridge.

Reading

Encourage your child to read by having a family reading night. Choose a novel you will read out to the children or if they are older you can pass the book around, each reading a few pages. If the age differences are large, then each child can read aloud pages from their own books.

Backyard sports

If the weather is acceptable, get out the badminton set, the croquet set, tetherball, or anything you can think of and play with your kids in the backyard or common area of a townhouse or apartment or park. If it is snowy, how about a good old fashioned snowball fight or build a snow fort? Doesn’t matter the weather, the main thing is that they are getting fresh air into their lungs.

Getting back to sharing time as a family away from the electronic gadgets is an excellent way to bond with your kids and encourage open loving communication. Kids grow so fast, don’t let these days get away from you. You’ll never get them back. Go and BE with your kids!

Females and Males who check cell phones for whatever reason they think they want to find out information, because they are insecure about themselves.

This is not directed to females directly but men are known to do this as well, checking the spouses cell when your asleep shame on you, as well as the man who is getting those calls that he says he has no idea who is calling him so he is not answering the phone. This is an on going problem with relationships all over the world. But never the less we all have seen this we also have seen when your in a relationship your girl will not let you touch her cell phone, she looks at you like your Jesus rising from the dead when you say hey my phone is dead can I use yours. She gets a wicked look on her face and hands you her cell phone. This is not cool at all seems like its time to start looking at the front of the door. Make plans to get ready to move on, people are as good as there options when you hear a story you only hear one side that’s the person you know or someone you just happen to start speaking with on the street or at a bus stop.

This can be a very bad situation but you have to look at this like a learning experience, if your really considering dealing with someone who does not trust you, this can become a big problem. I am experienced with dealing with females with issues and where I am from I would say 50% of the females here are cell phone checkers. Like the FBI looking and screening your phone makes you wonder whats in her backyard, or as Capital One says whats in your wallet. This is a headache to deal with makes a man no even want a cell phone. If you are ahead of the game you might want to have a open discussion about this matter and bring it to the table and just tell her upfront if she really loves you of really cares for you she will stick around. Its better then her finding out by someone else. How can person deal with someone like this if someone does not think when your going to work that they have to call you constantly and have to know your every move, this is a problem and we all know someone who is dealing with someone like this or someone you know knows a female or male that is going through this matter.

For the most part if you are going to do anything must tell them your not feeling to good about this matter and you want a break, sounds like a bad idea but its not it gives you time to clear your head and not worry about this deamon seed who has a negative outlook on life. Its better for you and if there are kids in the house. Aruging in front of kids and saying nasty things in front of the children this is not cool. When someone can not take the time to pull you aside and say lets talk about this out side or in the basement, there is a time for everything and somethings are not to get interviewed in front of the children this is a big problem with relationships. People do not know how to shut up and wait for the right time to talk, its a control feature they have they want attention and you never know what someone will do to get attention they are as dangerous as a Iraqi with those book bag bombs the reason I say this because they might go to extreme measures to get there point across.

You think you know whats on someones mind but you are not a mind reader, the best thing is to move on with your life, if you can not say what someone will and won’t do before you or you have to wonder what they are doing and you have no faith to what extreme they will go to your in a situation you need to rethink and there is nothing wrong with making a mistake like this it happens to all of us no one is beyond making a mistake. God did not make us perfect nor did our mothers and fathers we are just like everyone else. I see the news and I see stars getting arrested, I see O.J. Simpson a few years ago he was running through the airport and now he is getting sentenced to jail. Why ask yourself this because he was dealing with people he should have left alone and got caught in the thick of the mind set of thinking he was never going to be caught up, this attitude and frame of thinking that we are always getting away with what we are doing it comes back to haunt you in one way or another, now back to the main subject of the article cell phone checkers are not secure at all they are thinkers, and they want to know your every move this will not make someone love you more this will make them despise your actions and they will rebel against you.

Anyone with a situation like this I am not saying all of you are in some serious danger but you need to really think hard about what type person your dealing with get your life together and do not make someone run your life. Be yourself do not change and become someones puppet. This is a headache and a disaster waiting to happen its advice take it or just read this and do not pay much attention, I am writing for a reason, there are a lot of people dealing with a matter such as this one, some of them are in harms way and do not think so and some are really on the chopping block because they are not the type of person to really take time to think things over, these are life challenges that we all go through. If you are looking for more information have a talk with the person your having the problem with its the way to deal with this matter, because no one else needs to see your life as a open book.
