Curse of the United States.

Tecumseh’s curse was reputed to cause the deaths in office of Presidents of the United States elected in years divisible by 20, beginning in 1840. This alleged curse appears to have fallen dormant, since Ronald Reagan, (elected in 1980) survived an assassination attempt.

The Curse of 27 is the belief that 27 is an unlucky number due to the number of famous musicians and entertainers who have died at the age. Robert Johnson, Jim Morrison, Brian Jones, Jimi Hendrix, Ron “Pigpen” McKernan, Janis Joplin, Jonathan Brandis and Kurt Cobain are all believed to have been affected by the curse of 27. This is also known as the 27 Club.

Cursed objects are generally supposed to have been stolen from their rightful owners or looted from a sanctuary. The Hope Diamond is supposed to bear such a curse, and bring misfortune to its owner. The stories behind why these items are cursed vary, but they usually are said to bring bad luck or to manifest unusual phenomena related to their presence. The television show Friday the 13th: The Series dealt with a hoard of cursed antiques sold by an evil man that gave their owners various powers in return for killing. Once cursed, the objects were indestructible and had to be stored in a special vault.

A lot of cars in the past few days have been set on fire in Hollywood.

Do you know the old saying , “somethings rotten in the state of Denmark”, well something, in my opinion, is rotten in the city of Hollywood California. There a lot of cars are being set on fire. Due to the number of cars that burned, it is not a coincidence. Police think it is more likely arson.

On Saturday, December 31, 2011 seven or eight cars were started on fire in the North Hollywood area said Police Officer Robert Collier. Officer Collier says that he thinks the newest fires were arson. For these fres that took place Saturday, Police were called about 12 am Pacific Standard Time for burning cars and then 3 hours later they were called for more car fires.

On Friday December 30, 2011 early in the morning police were called to two dozen locations in Hollywood and nearby West Hollywood for nearly four before dawn.

The cars that started on fire all were parked an no injuries happened.

The cars that started a house on fire. It even started the late Singer, wonderful poet Jim Morrison’s house on fire.

A 7 pm Friday December 30, 2011, another car was reported on fire. This one was the most dangerous because it was started in an underground parking lot for an apartment building. The whole building could have gone up in flames.

Captain James Moore told the Associated Press that investigators of arson, “consider it to be an incindiary fire similar to the fires from this morning.”

These new fires that happened Saturday morning even though police are patrolling more. They also want people who are up in the early morning to be on the lookout foranything suspicious and report it to police. Police are also looking to see if there is any videotape that shows someone starting a car on fire.

The Friday fires fires took place in a 2 mile square area in a residential neighborhood with a lot of people and most of those people were asleep.

Witnesses to the fires were interviewed by police. Police also looked to see if there is taped of any of the fires being started,

On Thursday December 29, 2011 another series of fires were started, but two people were caught and arrested and remain in jail.

Amy Winehouse dies was it too early?

In just 27 short years the singer, Amy Winehouse has left behind her a legacy, with a band of modern British women soul singers – Duffy, Jessie J, Adele etc – celebrating success across the world born almost entirely in the wake of the late legend.

Sadly however, the truly talented singer is most likely not to be remembered for her singing, which was so often starved by drink and constant drug abuse.

Amy Winehouse’s death was foretold with photos emerging of bloody shoes and near death experiences from her drug abuse. It seems that in death Amy Winehouse joins many of her childhood idols like Kurt Cobain, Jimi Hendrix, and Jim Morrison. All of whom died aged just 27.

Amy Winehouse was born in North London in 1983 and is the second child of the cab driver Mitch and his wife Janis, a pharmacist.
Amy Winehouse’s parents split up when the singer was only nine years old and Amy and her older brother both moved from North London to live with their mother. Just minutes away from The Priory which is the rehab clinic where she would attened just a few months before the singers death.

‘She was always very selfwilled’ her father Mitch told Rolling Stone in 2007. ‘Not badly behaved but…different.’

The balance between the singers high level musical talents and an inevitable path to self destruction was very clear right from an early age. Aged 12 years old Amy Winehouse signed up at Sylvia Young theatre school and was expelled not long after for getting her nose pierced.

The singer aged only ten years old had created a rap group called, Sweet ‘n’ Sour Amy Winehouse was “Sour” and that she later described herself as ‘the little white Jewish Salt ‘n’ Pepa.’

Amy enrolled at the popular Brit School and by age 16 her incredible soul singing a deep, full and knowing but was also described as being fragile. This however had won Amy her first contract with Simon Fuller’s management company which then saw the singer being signed by Island Records.

The year 2003 would see the release of Amy’s first album and to high critical acclaim. While also meeting the man that she would share the most destructive and abnormal celebrity relationship of the past 10 years.

In a bid to save Amy’s deteriating health and heavy drug addiction problems Amy Winehouse most recently booked herself into rehab in May of 2011.

The month previous Amy pulled out of a European tour after she was booed whilst appearing on stage in a drunken state, this was at her come-back gig held in Serbia.

Amy had left the stage frequently during the gig and in parts her band had to improvise to keep the audience entertained in her absence and she was also said to have been mumbling through parts of the songs.

After this disastor of a gig, the short stay at The Priory rehab clinic of May 2011 was supposed to have been finally a means to refocus, re-energise and bring back the young singers health.

Amy Winehouse however had checked herself out after just one week at The Priory.

Amy Winehouse Dead ! – Another Member Of The Mythical 27 Club

Imagine my surprise when drug addict and alcoholic one album wonder Amy Winehouse was found dead in her home of a suspected drug overdose.

Image via Wikipedia

Imagine my shock when this predictable end to a life replaced the unpredictable death of 92 Norwegians as the main news story.

Forgive me for being unsympathetic to the woman, but she chose how to live her life. She also chose to inflict her lifestyle on her family, who I do have sympathy for.

Amy has now been added to the infamous “27” Club. A club consisting of other celebrity dead folk.

The 27 Club

Jimi Hendrix

Brian Jones

Janis Joplin

Jim Morrison

Kurt Cobain

All these members of the fabled 27 Club were all know drug users, yet they are still idolised… As Amy Winehouse will surely be – She will now be an icon of the music industry.

Looking at the list for 27 Club, we can see some big names in the list, in fact I would imagine that we all know them. Is it fate that they die at 27 or coincidence

What about another age… let us say 28. How many famous and well known people died at 28?

Lets call it -

The 28 Club

The Big Bopper

Caligula

David Kennedy – Son of RFK

Kathleen Kennedy – sister of JFK

Heath Ledger

Brandon Lee

That is a fairly exclusive list to be a member of.

The 27 club is just something the media have picked up to elevate dead rock stars and singers to a quasi- mythical level. Type any age into Google and you will find a fairly extensive list of famous dead folk in every age.

Hopefully the death of Amy Winehouse will keep the “Legalise Drugs” nutters quiet for a few months.

Remember kids – Do drugs and get found dead by family members after choking on your own vomit. Think of your Mother.

Singer songwritter Amy Winehouse (27) has died in London of what some report as a drug overdose.

Amy Winehouse,(27) who is known for her bizarre behavior and extreme drug and alcohol abuse, was found dead today in her London apartment. Unofficial reports are that it was the cause of a drug overdose.

Winehouse was known for her in an out stays at rehabilitation centers was often known as the “Rehab” singer. She had recently been released from a rehabilitation program only a few weeks ago.

Winehouse went into rehab after she was booed off the stage at a concert in Belgrade, Serbia by angry fans.

Ambulance crews were called to the home of Winehouse and she was pronounced dead at the scene. Police initially called the death as “unexplained” but reports have surfaced that it was drug related. Only the autopsy will be for sure of the cause of death.

Winehouse shares some good company with her death at her age. Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, and Janis Joplin also died at the ripe old age of 27. Kurt Cobain also committed suicide when he was 27 shortly after his rehab release.

Winehouse enjoyed great success as a singer but could not keep her head straight enough to reap the rewards. Her on again off again drug use and a self proclaimed “terrible alcoholic” overtook her talent and as many people that were thrown into the spotlight, failed to handle the situation of stardom.

Her unique and soulful voice won her 5 Grammy’s in 2007. That appears to be the time she started a downward spiral to failure. She had problems writing and many say just staying coherent was a chore for her.

Unfortunately, Winehouse will be remembered maybe more for her wild life of arrests and rehab stays instead of her talent.

- Tupac Shakur

Tupac was a rapper who was killed in a shootout. Murder and to this day remained unresolved because the case became an inspiration to many theories about who is responsible. There are many interpretations of his posthumously published poems, namely, the conspirators of the theory that he was alive argue that in some of the verses are recognized innuendo about events that occurred after his death. A first of these albums has a song titled “Blasphemy” (blasphemy) in which he raps “Brother’s getting shot and coming back resurrected” – “Brother to shoot and he will return resurrecting.

Frequent Associate of Kofman, fellow comedian Bob Zmuda, who once said that Kofman ever discussed the rigging of his death, and seemed “obsessed with that idea.” But anyway, in 1999 in an interview Zmuda said: “Andy Kofman is dead. He now is a truck along with Elvis. Friends Kofman organized manner under the slogan “Welcome home Andy” on Twenty anniversary of his death, anyway. Of course, those who believe in it are actually American Mormon. Some actually believe that Jesus married Mary Magdalene, which have had many children.
