Highlighting today's American Heroes.

Our everyday American heroes are not who you think they are. Certainly, the firemen who runs into burning buildings to save a lives are heroes, and the police officers who put their lives on the line everyday to keep peace are heroes, and military men and women who serve our country are heroes, but what about the other heroes? Everyday American citizens who have stood up against politicians that have ignored their constituents and that have ignored the Constitution. The everyday American citizens who have been thrown in the spotlight and have had to endure the wrath of the radical left who have obviously never read our Constitution.

Katy Abrams of Lebanon, Pennsylvania said to Arlen Spector, “It’s not about health care … It’s about the systematic dismantling of this country … I don’t want this country turning into Russia, turning into a socialized country.” She then asked Spector, “What are you going to do to restore this country back to what our founders created, according to our Constitution?”

For stating an opinion and asking a question, Mrs. Abrams was tormented and threatened. Talk show host Bill Moyer, who is so far to the left that he is about to fall off the edge, made fun of her. Why? She was eloquent and poignant in her statement and question. She spoke from the heart, and she deserves a “you go, Girl!”

Another American Citizen and former marine, David Hedrick of Camas, Washington, passionately spoke to his congressman Brian Baird, “But I’ll remind you, a little history lesson, the Nazis did not. Rhe Nazis were the National Socialist–party they were Leftist, they were. They took over the following: Finance. They took over the car industry. They took over health care, in that country. And Nancy Pelosi is looking to find a swastika maybe the first place she should look is the sleeve on her own arm.”

Mr. Hedrick continued to reprimand Congressman Baird by saying, “Now what I want to know is, you’ve done a lot of things that violate your Constitution, as you know. What I want to know is as a Marine and as a disabled veteran that served this country, I have kept my oath. Do you ever intend to keep yours?”

David Hedrick does not deserve the trash talk. He does, however, deserve a great big thank you from every American citizen for his service and his continued service by so powerfully stating exactly how so many Americans feel.

John Mackey, the CEO of Whole Foods is under fire for an op-ed piece he wrote on health care in the Wall Street Journal. Not to mention, a well-written piece that makes sense, but because it does not agree with the single-payer plan Obama wants, the Obamabots are up in arms, calling for a boycott of Whole Foods. Fortunately, the only people who will boycott Whole Foods are the young leftwing nuts who can’t afford to shop there anyway, so it probably will not have an impact. More CEO’s should have the intestinal fortitude that Mr. Mackey has shown, and should stop cowering behind their desks and take a stand.

60,000 former AARP members aren’t cowering. They took a stand in July and canceled their memberships, because AARP is onboard with Obama’s health care reform package. A spokesperson for AARP stated that they lose approximately 300,000 members every month, but gain 400,000. That seems like bad business to lose three-quarters of your customers every month, because it costs more to get new customers than it does to retain customers. AARP should be boycotted. Heck, I am personally calling for a boycott of AARP. Go tell your elderly relatives and friends that they need to cancel their subscriptions to AARP. Tell them there are alternative companies out there who are not in bed with this corrupt administration.

Finally, I want to add one person to the list of everyday Americans. Technically, he is not an everyday American. He is a best-selling author with his own talk show and radio show. That person is Glenn Beck. He has come under fire lately, and he was called a racist, because he called Obama a racist. That’s the left’s answer for everything. If a conservative states that the sky is blue, the left’s automated response will be, “he’s a racist.”

Needless to say, an organization called Color for Change, has bullied some of Glenn Beck’s commercial sponsors into withdrawing their advertising. One of the founders of Color for Change is Van Jones, who is the Green Jobs Czar, and a self-proclaimed communist. Glenn Beck has spent some time exposing Jones and his radical ideas, and I am sure that has made Jones and pals a little nervous. If you do not know who Glenn Beck is, or you have not seen his show, it is on at 5:00 PM Monday through Friday on the Fox News Network. If you are not able to watch the show when it airs—record it. You will not be disappointed. In fact, let your friends know to watch this show. To take it one step further, read his book entitled, Common Sense: The Case Against an Out of Control Governmen, Inspired by Thomas Paine.

Get involved! Voice your opinions, and defend your Constitution. Otherwise, the day will come when you wish you had.
