Have you ever heard a name & thought to yourself "what an unfortunate name" these are just a list of five that I suggest never using.

1. Judas-If this one needs explaining, do not pass go, do not collect your $200. Nobody would ever want to be associated w/the name of the worst traitor in history.

2. Michael Myers-This name just conjures up too many cheap horror flick memories (Halloween anyone?) and thus should be avoided. Every time I hear this name, this facecomes to mind. Is that really something you want your kid’s classmates to conjure in their minds? If you want your child to be socially outcasted though, then be my guest & use it, but don’t be surprised if you are then scorned by them.

3. Never name a boy Sue, we learned from the old country song by Johnny Cash that can have consequences years later that are best avoided altogether. Even if you have good intentions like helping your kid get a thick skin.

4. Rasputin-It has been said that he contributed to the overthrow and eventual deaths of the Romanov family, so needless to say, this is a name best avoided. No man of virtuous character would be caught (living or dead) with this unfortunate designation.

5. Last but not least we have Cain, the world’s first murderer, which is pretty self explanatory.

Before you pick a name...look at the statistics!

Ever hear of the name effect? There are many experts who believe that your name could affect who you become or how you contribute to society. Scientists call it “The Naming Effect” and it could possibility show that there is a correlation between your name and who you become. In fact, in reality, “A Boy Named Sue” was a prime example of this effect. In the song, a boy was given a girl’s name. He was constantly teased, so he was more determined to become more powerful and successful than ever. Have a common name? Then you will be more likely to be a follower. Have a rarer name? Then you are expected to become more of leader. The idea also states that an individual will be more likely to prefer letters belonging to their own name rather than any other letters. Does your first name begin with an A? Then you are more likely to be an “A” student, more likely to marry someone with an “A” name or even be more likely to become an accountant. Some experts believe that this proposition is due to egotism or this idea that we love ourselves that we surround ourselves with things that relate to ourselves. So maybe you are not your own black sheep!

I don’t know if all have heard but Joaquin Phoenix has to decided after exiting his acting career that he has ambitions of becoming a rapper…..his new look? Jesus don’t know Jesus was the rapping type but that’s what Phoenix has come out to look like. Now singing Johnny Cash all though he did well is a far shot from rapping and in all honesty most have seen this as a foolish attempt for recognition. Who knows maybe he could be the next great white hope in the rapping community but for whatever reason I highly doubt that to be a big possibility. Not that I personally heard any of his new beats but I have a feeling it very well could be a failing experience but I suppose only time will tell. The real question is how do you believe the public will react to the release of this musical confusion known as Joaquin rap yo! What do you think of Joaquin Phoenix new musical ambitions?

Does anyone out there really truly see this as a prominent use of his time and talents? Or a mislead waste of his and the public time? You often wonder what leads people to be so outside there normal realm what makes them want to pursue such things. I suppose that is the beauty of America one is free to make a fool of himself in front of millions or succeed and become a overnight phenom. I for one would most certainly not be surprised if his venture into the rapping world was a complete and utter bust. Then again miracles do happen from time to time and stranger things have happened I suppose that only time will tell and whatever its story lets hope its a good one.
