February 25, 2012 – About 10000 people of Leyte gathered in the provincial capitol to pay respect and see the hearse that has the dead body of Kokoy Romuladez. The corpse was laid on a glass casket surrounded by white flowers. Some classes were withheld so that teachers, students and school officials could witness the event too. A lot of people lined in the streets on that day of mourning as the white confetti showered from a helicopter.
