The recent removal of street vendors from the city centre by the Kampala City Council Authority has reduced congestion down town and many of the petty thieves do not seem to have the opportunity to easily pick-pocket. They now have resorted to taking advantage of traffic congestions at traffic lights during rush hours to do their thing.
