“Those who set bad examples, though they may repent themselves, yet cannot be sure that those who they have drawn into sin by their example will repent. It is often otherwise” – Henry.

MORAL LESSON ON LEADERS WITH BAD EXAMPLE

“Those who set bad examples, though they may repent themselves, yet cannot be sure that those who they have drawn into sin by their example will repent. It is often otherwise” – Henry.

There are many ways we learn from people. One of the major ways is through influence. We can easily be influenced by the actions and character of people by their assimilating all we do. This is a more common way adolescent and some elderly/adults learn. This is a good method of learning but has grave consequences if what the person learnt is not the ideal.

This is the opinion of Henry. Most people in leadership positions today are not mindful of their utterances and actions. The do things not minding the short and long term effect it will have on the people around them. For example a Director in an establishment that connives with a junior staff to falsify prices of products bought for the establishment, is indirectly influencing that junior staff. There are two things that will come out of this: the junior staff will learn a very bad way of doing things in the establishment, thus when he (the junior staff) gets to the level of the Director, will do more than the director. The other thing there is that the junior staff has partaken of the Directors sin and will subsequently bear the consequences with him.

Setting bad example for our subordinates has great consequences. A man who is an agent of Pool Betting Agency was telling his children never to be engaged in it. However, one day, one of the sons got money and went and did the pool betting in the office of another agent in the town. Fortunately for the boy, he won huge sum of money – devil’s ploy to get him enticed and bound perpetually to the pool betting. The other agent saw the father and congratulated him on what the little boy won. The father was annoyed and came home and started beating the boy. The young boy shouted and cried out saying to his father, “Are you not the one that thought us.”

This man has been remorseful of his business. He is looking for a way to come out of it but because he has influenced the child, the boy has now become interested. This is the point Henry made in his saying: “Those who set bad examples, though they may repent themselves, yet cannot be sure that those who they have drawn into sin by their example will repent. It is often otherwise” – Henry.

Now it behooves on us as Fathers, Mothers, Leaders in the society, offices and the church to be mindful of the examples we set for people under us. We should not just think that it does not matter. It matters so much. Once they have learnt it, it will be hard for them to break from it. You who thought them may come out of it easily, but they will not come out easily thinking they have not learnt enough. You a father who smokes, beats your wife, etc, what do you think? Your children will learn and turn out to become smokers whose homes with be boxing ring. You may repent but what of the person you have influenced?

Again you that learn easily from bad example should repent because your own consequences will be greater than that of the person you learnt from. Do not feel that you will be exonerated from the consequences. Remember that every action or reaction has a reward. Everything we do on earth will be recompensed someday somehow either when we are alive here on earth or in the life to come.

Some Political Facts to Consider.

From its birth in 1895 till Independence in 1947, the Indian National Congress elected a president each year to address its Annual Session. During that period, Jawaharlal Nehru was the only leader to become Congress president for four terms. In free India, in addition to being the Prime Minister, he held the post of Congress president for three terms. Thus, on the whole, Jawaharlal Nehru held the record of being president of the Congress for seven terms, till 1964.

After the assassination of Rajiv Gandhi in May 1991, Sonia Gandhi withdrew from all political activity. After much persuasion by several Congress leaders, she enrolled herself as a primary member in the last week of December 1997. Thereafter, within 62 days, she was made president of the Congress on March 1, 1998. She continues to hold the post. Indeed, in the long history of the Indian National Congress, she has been the longest-serving president — for over 14 years.

During his lifetime, even Nehru — during the course of the freedom struggle and in independent India — had to contend with veterans such as Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Abul Kalam Azad and C. Rajagopalachari. Compared to those times, Sonia Gandhi has a highly subservient and docile party machine to reckon with. She has become the unassailable leader.

Apart from holding the post of party president, in 1999 she was appointed Leader of the Opposition. And since 2004, she has been the chairperson of the United Progressive Alliance in all its forms (first during 2004-2009 and then from 2009 till now).

No other president of the Congress party, or any party in India for that matter, has ever wielded such a level of control on all aspects of the party organisation, and on all crucial decisions of its governments at the Centre or in the States. In a recent historical narration of the latest phase of the Indian National Congress that has been published, there is extreme adulation. It terms Sonia Gandhi a ‘Mahatma.’

Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul Gandhi are now Members of Parliament representing the constituencies of Rae Bareli and Amethi that have been notable in the political history of the Nehru-Gandhi family.

Feroze Gandhi won elections in Rae Bareli in 1952 and 1957, but died in 1960. Indira Gandhi, who became Prime Minister in 1966, contested successfully in Rae Bareli first in 1967 and then in 1970. Though she was defeated in Rae Bareli by Raj Narain in the tornado poll-sweep of the Janata Party in 1977, she contested there again in 1980 to win, and to go on to become Prime Minister.

Sanjay Gandhi won the 1980 election in Amethi; unfortunately, he died in an air crash a few months later in June 1980. His elder bother, Rajiv Gandhi, was drafted into politics and entered Parliament by means of a by-election in Amethi. In October 1984, Indira Gandhi was assassinated. Then Rajiv Gandhi again won from Amethi to become Prime Minister in 1984. In the wake of the Bofors howitzer deal scandal, the Congress was defeated in the 1989 elections, but Rajiv Gandhi himself won in Amethi to become Leader of the Opposition. After his death, in 1999, Sonia Gandhi contested successfully from Amethi. And over the next two elections, she contested successfully in Rae Bareli, in 2004 and in 2009.

Is it denial of losing the grace or just not accepting the defeat?

Addressing the media on March 7, a day after the results of the five Assembly elections were announced, Congress president Sonia Gandhi attributed the outcome against the party to “wrong candidates, organisational weaknesses, party members not taking serious responsibilities, and too many leaders in the party.”

Further, she observed that the electoral reverses would have no adverse impact on the United Progressive Alliance government. Asked about the possibility of early general elections, the Congress president declared: “We’re in 2012, and Manmohan Singh will continue to be the Prime Minister till 2014.”

Talking of “weak” candidates, the Congress president and the office-bearers authorised by her alone should be held responsible for their selection. Under the Election Symbols (Reservation and Allotment) Order, 1968, the party president and such office-bearers authorised by the president alone can issue Form B to notify a Returning Officer about a party’s candidate and the allotment of its election symbol to him or her. Without the forms duly signed on behalf of the party, nobody can enter a contest.

In the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, the Congress had an alliance with the Rashtriya Janata Dal. There were 355 Congress candidates in the field, of whom only 25 won.

In the 2002 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, there were 402 Congress candidates to win 25 seats. In 334 places they lost their security deposit. In the 2007 elections, the Congress contested in 393 seats, to succeed in 22; it lost the deposit in 323 places.

All these three rounds of election took place in this largest State of India, in terms of population, under the same party president — Sonia Gandhi.

However, in the latest round of Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, all the Congress candidates fielded in the five Assembly segments in the Rae Bareli parliamentary constituency were defeated. Though Sonia Gandhi had topped in terms of the number of votes polled in all these Assembly segments in the 2004 and 2009 general elections, it was a washout for the Congress candidates there. Within Rahul Gandhi’s Amethi parliamentary constituency, only two candidates reached the winning post.

The election symbol of the Congress is the hand, with five fingers spread out. In Uttar Pradesh, each parliamentary constituency has five segments. In Rae Bareli, all the five fingers of the hand were cut off, and in Amethi three were lost.

The Congress president has since asserted that the election outcomes in Uttar Pradesh and the other States would have no impact on the UPA government, but she has failed to assess the reverse impact of the misrule of UPA-II on the long-suffering people of disadvantaged sections throughout India, with scam after scam involving the loss of mind-boggling sums of money, widespread corruption percolating from the ruling authority in Delhi, astounding audit revelations, forthright judicial expositions, fall in rupee value, spiralling prices of food articles and commodities of common consumption, and rising unemployment levels. The incompetence of the Union government is manifest. A tongue-tied Prime Minister appears to be helpless in taking action against any wrongdoing Minister, under the peculiar cult of “coalition dharma.”

When the oppressed millions got the ballot under the scarce “democratic dharma,” they have hit hard at the Rajas, the Rahuls, and their minions parading as MPs and Ministers. It was the fury of the masses that crushed the ambitious targets fixed by Congress leaders.

The overall polling percentages in the five States have risen in 2012 compared to those recorded in 2007. Moreover, in every State concerned, the number of women voters coming to vote surpassed that of the men voters.

The aftermath of the decisive downfall of the Congress in the Assembly election round has severely affected the coherence of the alliance; some of the partners seem to be even trying to distance themselves from the government.

Manmohan Singh as Prime Minister is helpless and hopeless when it comes to tackling critical situations. Take, for instance, the removal of Dinesh Trivedi as Railway Minister. Let us not be concerned here with the merits or demerits of the budget proposals. The Cabinet had accepted his proposals and the Prime Minister also appreciated his work. The Prime Minister showed hesitation in the matter until the president of the alliance party in question vehemently insisted that the Minister should go.

It was after much deliberation that the Constituent Assembly decided to adopt the British model of Cabinet government. On the essence of the collective responsibility of the Cabinet, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar had asserted: “One principle is that no person shall be nominated to the Cabinet except on the advice of the Prime Minister. Secondly, no person shall be retained as a member of the Cabinet, if the Prime Minister says he shall be dismissed … As I said, collective responsibility can be achieved only through the instrumentality of the Prime Minister.”

The times have of course changed. The Prime Minister today has no authority as envisaged by Dr. Ambedkar. Whether it is Raja or Trivedi, he has to be instructed by the party president concerned. The Cabinet system of governance as devised and accepted by the Constitution is not being followed. We have a Cabinet without a competent Prime Minister, and a Prime Minister without an effective government.

The writing on the wall is clear. But Sonia Gandhi as Congress president and Manmohan Singh as Prime Minister are not able to decipher it. But some wise Daniel will come along to lead the people against this “Organised Hypocrisy” — as Disraeli called an incompetent government.

Outstanding leader or leadership talks about how you can become a leader with outstanding capacity to succeed.

Helo sir/ma Leadership has become a very popular word in this present day. Why? Because the world has become a place whr people have something to offer to other people which make the people who offer become the subject and the people who are being offered to,as the object which therefore create a relational distance between the two parties. Well, let us address the issue of our topic: outstanding leader or leadership. Now what is a leader? A leader is any entity that has the capacity of co-ordinating the affairs of other entity attached to it based on some certain subject of operation that has been assigned to the leading entity. Now, a man with a capacity of co-ordinating the affairs of other men attached to other men base on some subject of operation like management,teaching,pastoring,e.t.c. I think this simple definition has been able to breakdown what leading is practically all about. How can i become an outstanding leader? For a leader to be outstanding,he or she must be able to apply some princinples which other leader have not applied. He or she has to do what others don’t do in the positive aspect. Now wat are those things? 1 A leader who wants to outstand must undastand that leadership is not meant for dominating but co-ordinating his people. 2 A leader who wants to outstand must undastand that he is meant to impact his people and be responsible for the. 3 A leader who want to outstand must undastand the power of division of labour(responsibility). 4 A leader who wants to outstand must be ready to respect his people, knowing fully well that they have their own intergrity which they protect too. 5 A leader who wants to outstant must possess an analytical mind. 6 A leader who wants to oustand must be able to manage the burden of his people. Yes,we are going to stop at this sixth one. So if you can monitor yourself and put them to use, i promise you will experience a positive change. Incase of any question feel free to ask. THANKS.

This is my opinion regarding these great leaders which always being talk by the people. Hope it can be a starter to spark the spirit to make this great leader as idol.

A leader is the person who can made changes and lead the community in every situation that they will faces whether being criticize, complained or making changes. They have vision in everything that they fight for. Not just go for something without preparation.

Here I would like to give some opinions that have brought the leaders in this country which is Malaysia that can have their own follower and not to forget criticizers.

First and foremost, Tun Dr. Mahathir, fourth Prime Minister of Malaysia which have made a lot of changes in determining the target of this nation to be developed country in the year 2020 by producing Vision 2020. He has put the mindset in the people in Malaysia to think on improving their lifestyle and be part of the people who contributing to the nation. His idea cultivate people mind to do changes to guarantee their future. As have been quote from previous President of United States:

“Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future. “
John F. Kennedy

Next most influence leader is Tuan Guru Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat, a politician and Menteri Besar of Kelantan States, Malaysia. He is a great leader which always be with his people. As we always said, low profile character or down to earth. He try to fulfill the people need without neglecting the human development about spiritual and lifestyle. Taking care about the akhlaq of the people in his states is the priority in developing a great ummah. He appreciates his people and live like his people live.

“As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.”
John F. Kennedy

From my opinion, both of them have great qualities to be explore and practice by us. Every people will do mistake and these leaders as well but we can take their good qualities in order to be a great future leader which will lead the next generation in developing think nation and world toward a better place to live. Be a leader which walk the talk is hard when they cannot convince the people on their credibility. In order to lead the nation, building good characteristics will lead to the great nation.

Bandeshwar Pathak was born in Brahmin family. In this family touching a low caste person is considered a sin.

One day 6 years Pathak touched a sweeper “his grandmother forcibly made him eat the cow dung, drink urine and had bath in Ganga River for purification.”

But strange thing is that the same Brahmin after getting young became the apple of an eye of the millions of Shudars (low caste people).

Although India is progressing but still today millions of people are deprived of the toilet and cleanliness facility.

This is the reason every year 5 hundred thousands children pass away due to various diseases. Then underground water has also been polluted by human and agriculture excreta.

In 1968, 66 years Pathak passed 3 months with “Shudars” for becoming aware of their problems.

The very experience made him realize that there should be cheaper toilet’s facility so that they can remain safe from diseases.

Afterwards with the help of experts he got the toilet made that is prepared in few hundred rupees.

It consists on two ditches. One remains under use while offal is concealed in another ditch.

In two years all the harmful germs of the offal dies out and it becomes best fertilizer.

Moreover this toilet uses only 1 ½ liters water for washing filth, whereas a normal flush waste 10 liters of waters.

Today millions of Indians are benefiting by the invention of Pathak.

A positive thinking of an Indian took responsibility of cleaning his country from filth and succeeded in fulfilling it.

These toilets can be made anywhere.

Movie review of the Meryl Streep movie "The Iron Lady"

It seems to be a new cinematic tradition that around the start of the new year we have a film based on some great Iconic British figure. Last year it was the story of King George VI in the movie the “The King’s Speech”. This year its the movie “The Iron Lady” which chronicles the life of British Prime Minster Margret Thatcher.

Now I know she is a controversial figure but love her or hate her this movie is defiantly worth watching, mainly for the fact that Meryl Streep performance is so chameleonic its hard to see the difference between Meryl Streep performance and the real thing. In fact the same day I saw the film I also saw her in “Mama Mia” it was almost impossible to tell they where both the same women. Jim Broadbent as ever pulls in another great performance as the supportive and yet rather hen pecked (and at times comical) husband Denis Thatcher. Another performance that was a revelation to me was comedy actress Olivia Colman playing the part of Carol Thatcher. Its the first time I have seen her in a non comical role and she was remarkably good.

This movie though sadly has quite a few flaws that really got on my nerves. The first being when I went to see this movie I was expecting to see a movie focusing on key parts Margret Thatcher’s life. Now whilst this did happen I had no idea so much of the movie would be devoted to seeing Margret Thatcher as a senile old lady, in fact at points I thought I had stumbled into another type of movie altogether,. If the movie had concentrated more on her earlier life rather than her senility I think this movie would have been far more interesting.

Another point of contention was her relationship with her family it was explained all to briefly. I could tell she loved her son Mark, but why did she worship him more than Carol, their was no explanation to this. Now maybe those people who knew her life more would be able to tell me, but going as someone who wanted to learn more about Margret Thatcher some greater explanation into parts of her life would have been handy.

Anther opportunity missed was the portrayal of the Young Margret and Dennis Thatcher by Alexandra Roach and Harry Lloyd. Both actors I think where drastically underused which was a real shame, as I would have liked to have seen more of them.

My last big gripe was the game I invented whilst watching the film which was guess the politician. I think what the filmmakers had forgotten that not everybody was about when a lot of the politicians in the film where in power. This meant it was a bit of a guessing game as a lot of the politicians that appeared did not get named, so the only way I knew who was who for some of them was to go by the hair styles. It was also a shock that the Character of John Major was so underused apparently the character was in their but I really did not spot him. It was almost as if he was the grey fading man from Spitting Image.

Whilst the movie was not the movie I was expecting it is still a good movie that is well worth seeing whilst the story structure is not that strong its worth watching it alone just for the performances. “The Iron Lady” is by no means in the same league as “The Kings Speech” but if you are after a movie with intelligence that shads some light on one of the great political figures of the 20th century then this movie is for you. I would also recommend younger viewers to see this movie as it could help shed some light of what politics was like before the Tony Blair years

Charisma is not a gift from the gods and you can cultivate your own style and influence the way people judge you.

We all know that first impressions are crucial to any relationship, and this is not limited to professional interactions and romantic endeavors. Charisma is probably more important than appearance when winning people over, it has a magnetic effect that few can resist.

So, what is this gift we call charisma?  It is a quality that is much more powerful that simple good manners, and it requires the effective use of etiquette and intuition.  It is true that some people are naturally better at connecting with others, but you can cultivate your own style by starting out with these simple tips;

1. Maintain eye contact when you are talking to an individual. If you are talking to a group, ensure you look at your audience, and not just a select few acquantences. You will come across as confident, genuine and approachable.

2. Consider the other person. You will always be judged in a positive light if you are mindful of the other person’s feeling when you are conversing. If you can make them laugh or feel good about themselves, then you have won their approval.

3. Be enthusiastic. Don’t be afraid to offer advice or help, but keep it friendly – don’t bark orders or force your will on to someone else. Whether your advice is accepted is irrelevant, but you have left a lasting impression that you are willing to help to solve problems. Your tone of voice informs others whether you really care, or if you are trying to hide some other hidden motive.

4. Don’t be afraid to apologize. A Charismatic leader is ready to admit when they are wrong, and are not afraid of a little humiliation. An apology is the first line of defense against a potential conflict, and shows that you’re human too.

5. Pay attention to non-verbal communications. This will give you insight into what your listner is thinking or feeling and will guide how you approach a certain topic. If you are boring, your audience – whether an individual or a group of people, rest asured they will let you know somehow.

It’s a fact of life that we just can not please everyone, and we can’t make everyone like us but keep these basic tips in mind the next time you converse with someone and see how it works for you.

This is evidenced by a team of researchers from the University of New South Wales,Australia. In penelitain pemimping explained to be a positive impact, because it canprotect a person from disease and also sharpens brain power is fading due to age.

Researchers have found that by being a leader can provide structural changes in thebrain and protect memory in old age. They have established a relationship betweenmanagerial experience, high work efficiency, and also the size of the hippocampus orthe meaning of the zone of the brain responsible for learning at the age of 80 years.

The scientists argued, more leaders guide others, so they need constant mental activitythat also involves how to solve the problem. Besides the short-term memory of a leaderis also more developed and they also have the ability to be among other people.

With the conditions and activities carried out by a leader to make real structural changesin the brain. The effect when the brain healthy, it prevents senile.

The death of leader Kim Jong-il of North Korea has been a big blow to the nuclear armed state. After his death, several issues have crop up concerning his successor, political stability in the DPRK and so on.

After the news of the death of North Korean leader, Kim Jong-il, lots of mourners have gathered to pay their respect to him. Jong-il died of heart attack last Saturday at age 69. It is believed that his attack was triggered by stress and over work.

Thousands of mourners in North Korea have been paying their last respect to an open coffin of the late leader, Kim Jong-il.

Kim Jong-un, his son and heir and other senior officials of North Korea were also at the memorial palace to pay their respect.

A period of official mourning has been declared in the country. The late Kim Jong-il will be buried on 28th December according to officials.

Many attribute the great developments in the North Korea to the hard work of Mr. Kim Jong-il before and after he took over office in 1994 at the death of his father.

The death of Jong-il is believed to possibly trigger a period of instability in the DPRK. This is because the late Kim Jong-il’s son and heir Kim Jong-un is less than 30 years old, not so popular and lacks political skill to hang on to power in the nuclear-armed state. He is bound to face opposition from the military elite and other family members.

The heir was first brought into public limelight as the successor to Kim Jong-il in September 2010.

The US Secretary of State on behalf of the US have expressed her condolences and called on the bereaved nation to pursue a path of peace after the death of its leader.
