An archaeological discovery made 12 years ago in Leicestershire, United Kingdom, may change the way it is for the period in Romanian history of the region.

It is a Roman helmet, 2,000 years old, found by a local in the hills of Leicestershire. The British fought against the invaders, but it seems that some have joined the Roman soldiers, sent to The Telegraph, which sees a rewrite of history in this regard.

The helmet belonged to senior officers of cavalry and was found in the tomb of a local tribal chief British. According to experts, this can change the perception of Romanian history of the conquest of Britain.

“How did the helmet there? The answer is simple: it was worn on the head by a British. The old view, according to which the Romans were bad and good British, changes with this discovery,” said Dr. JDHill, director research at the British Museum.

“This is a major breakthrough that says you have to rethink the relationship between britanci and Romans. It is an object representative and every history book about Romanian era should contain this,” said Hill.

Treasure, known as Hallaton Helmet, after the place where it was found, dating from the Roman invasion the first time since 43 AD

The helmet is observed Romanian goddess, flanked by lei, while the sides can see a Roman emperor, who walked a barbarian under horse hooves or.

This was the first discovery made in 2000 by Ken Wallace, a retired professor of technology, using a metal detector, near his home in Leicestershire.

“I was extremely lucky. One afternoon I found about 200 coins. But he found something detector, which was not iron,” said Wallace.

Wallace discovered a historic site, where they found 5,500 coins, the Iron Age, the greatest treasure in the UK, and the helmet which was broken into about 1,000 pieces.

Experts from the British Museum have painstakingly put together all the fragments. Helmet was exhibited at the museum only now, after a decade of restoration work. British identity buried with this helmet is unknown, but artifacts found shows that this was an important leader.

The price of this helmet is priceless, but in 2010 a bronze Roman helmet was sold at auction house Christie’s to the sum of 2.3 million pounds.

My views on the prejudice I have suffered whilst moving around the United Kingdom!

Are you compass prejudice?

Most people like to think that they are not prejudice in anyway. Prejudice comes in many shapes and sizes and colours. The United Kingdom is a relatively small island and we have one of the most diverse populations in the world! However stereotypes and prejudice is rampant even today. I will use myself as an example; I was born in north London in the 1960’s. For various valid reasons I have moved around the country for romance or career.

I have lived in Hertfordshire, Leicestershire, and Derbyshire and now I live in Yorkshire. I have basically been moving almost due north for 12 years. I first noticed prejudice towards me in Leicestershire. I did various jobs in Leicester and invariably I would get a variety of questions thrown at me some meant in harmless jest other comments are very insulting and meant to hurt me. Someone usually a man will say to me,

“What are you doing up here you cockney Sparrow?”

Now for those of my readers who don’t live in the UK a Cockney is someone who is born within the sound of the church bells of Bow, which is an area of approximately five miles. I lived 12 miles from Bow in Enfield north London I am not a Cockney! I am a Londoner it’s as simple as that. Now a Cockney sparrow is a stereotypical image of Londoners that died out years and years ago along with Pearly Kings and Queens. A Cockney is presumed to wear a cap with shiny buttons all around it and a red neckerchief and constantly says,

“Cor blimey governor! Strike a light”

I went for a job interview one day back in 1999 in Leicester. The interviewer literally said to me,

“If you want to get ahead around these parts you better lose that accent quickly!”

Now I left London after 34 years of living there, how anyone could in all honesty expect me to lose my accent after all those years? More importantly why should I ? I moved to Ashbourne in the Derbyshire dales in around 2002. Now Ashbourne is a beautiful idyllic country town, it has a strong farming community and local social scene. My wife and I tried to join the local community as much as we could, we would frequent the local pubs and restaurants, Invariably I would be asked the question,

“Where do you come from? and are you staying in a hotel?”

I would give them the street name where I lived and state that I am a resident here and they would then say,

“Where did you come from before that?”

I would reply,

“Leicester”

The man or woman would look puzzled and then ask,

“Where were you born is what I mean! because of your accent”

I like to think of myself as a friendly person however on occasion this does grate with me. Why are people so inquisitive and not in a nice way? Once I told someone I was born in London the conversation usually ground to a halt. My doctor in Ashbourne is a very nice man and a great doctor. We began to chat about a whole range of subjects and one day he happened to say to me,

“David you have been in Ashbourne for over two years now have you given any serious thought about losing the accent! You wont get very far in business around here with a London accent!”

I was devastated even my doctor wanted me to speak differently! I moved after a while to Yorkshire for a job opportunity. The prejudice here is even worse! The further north I travel the worst the prejudice against Londoner’s becomes? Surely one should judge a person on how they behave and interact with you? Rather than make a pre-judgment of someone purely by stereotype?

How do we as a nation expect to relate to other countries and live in harmony when we are prejudice against a person who comes from a part of the country that is 100 miles further south or 200 miles further south? I’m sure that other countries have the same prejudices as the UK, are we really social creatures or do we pretend to social creatures? I have my doubts.

Amanda Moore is a Britain's smallest mother who's son aged 14 months is almost as big as she is.

Amanda Moore is 25 and from Hinckley in Leicestershire, England. She holds the famous title now of being Britain’s smallest mother.

Amanda has a rare bone disorder which has stunted her growth and she is unable to stand. But at just 3ft 1inch (0.9m) she has been come out and told people of the difficulties in caring for her baby son who is almost as tall as her.

Amanda, due to her condition is unable to stand. Her son Aidan is 2ft 6 inches (0.7m) and is actually taller than his mother when seated. Ms. Moore went on to state that now her son is walking he is becoming “more than a handful for someone my size.”

Aiden’s father is Steven Fyfe and is aged 20. He stands 6ft 1 inch (1.8m) and Amanda believes her son will grow as tall as his father.

Amanda explained how when she sits on the floor to play with her child he is taller than her at 14 months of age. She states that already he is getting so big and strong that soon she will have to give him lessons on being more gentle with his mum.

Amanda was quick to add that Aiden has been a struggle for her since he was crawling and went on to quip that “most boys are bigger than their mums but not after a year.”

The condition that Amanda suffers from is called osteogenesis imperfecta and is commonly known as brittle bone disorder.

Ms. Moore explained how she was born with 14 broken bones and stated doctors had warned her that becoming pregnant could prove fatal for the tin woman. But Amanda was delighted when she gave birth to Aidan in February 2009 and weighing in at 5lbs 5oz. Fortunately little, or should we say “big” Aiden, has not inherited his mother’s unfortunate condition.

At this moment Aiden weighs a healthy 22lbs (9.9kg) which is approximately half his mother’s current weight of four stones (25.4kg).

Ms. Moore is currently working on how she can move around her son as he gets bigger whilst her partner is at work. “It’s been a struggle but Aiden is doing so well,” the proud mum said. “He’s a big boy and will soon be much bigger than his mother.”

Both Steven and Amanda have not dismissed the idea of adding to their family.

A Woman living in a small village in Leicestershire, United Kingdom claims she was abducted by aliens and given warnings for a dire future for mankind after being lured into a local wood by an anoymous contact from Facebook.

Maria Rodriguez, aged 38 and divorced claims a “mysterious” email from an anonymous contact on the popular social networking site Face-book was a lure in which to be abducted by beings from another world.

Rodriguez claims the incident took place at the beginning of June, 2009 whilst on the look out for her cheating boyfriend, Richard Marx, 42.

“I was using my Face-book one night”, Rodriguez states,”when I received an email from someone with a false identity.” The woman claims the email was informing her that her boyfriend of the past 3 years was meeting a fellow work colleague at a local lover spot in woodlands close to the village where Rodriguez lived.

“I was devastated”, claims the abductee. “All I could think of was that my boyfriend was deceiving me. I was livid!”

Maria went to the location late one night in June on the details of the alleged tip off from her Face-book email. Upon arriving Maria claims he boyfriend was no where to be seen. But in actual fact “something” otherworldly was lying in wait.

“It was terrifying”, says Rodriguez. “Richard was not there. My mobile phone had no connection and it was really dark and frightening.”

Strange Noises

Apparently the woman then states that she heard a “strange whirring noise” like an electric egg whisk or sexual toy. “It just didn’t sound like the noise was natural, more battery operated. I started to panic.”

Lights

Then the woman claims she was blinded by a bright light and that is all she remembers.

Found Unconscious

Maria was later discovered by a passing man walking his dog at approximately 5.30am. The man, who wishes to remain anonymous through fear of ridicule, states the woman was lying face down and naked. “I thought I had discovered a body, beautifully shaped as it was”, he says. “I managed to bring the woman round and she had little bruises all over her. I thought she had been attacked or sexually assaulted.”

Maria refused hospital treatment or involving the local police. However, she started having nightmares and headaches and decided to attend a Private psychiatrist for answers. “Counselling didn’t work”, she says so I decided to use my savings and employ a psychiatrist in the local area.

Doctor Mindmee Imanuts, a Russian psychiatrist now living in Leicestershire for the past twenty years, looked into Maria’s condition. “It was extremely bizarre. The woman showed no signs of paranoid delusion or any other psychiatric illness. I did have a friend who specialised in hypnotherapy so I contact her for assistance.”

Undergoing hypnosis, Maria recalled events to Hypnotherapist Lisa Seeit. What Maria spoke of whilst under the spell of Lisa Seeit was extremely disturbing.

“Maria stated she had been gone for a total thirteen days and alien beings had performed numerous medical and psychic experiments on Maria.”

Maria, whilst conscious, can only recall tiny fragments and certainly does not remember being missing for such a length of time.

“Whilst under hypnotherapy I remember aliens, similar to those in the X-Files (greys) telling me that the world would soon end in 2012 and that a secret society of undercover aliens are parading themselves about as innocent Face-book citizens”, she states. “I was subjected to numerous sexual experiments and even mated with a couple of them. It was humiliating but the most disturbing was their future visions of the world in three years time. We had been infiltrated by aliens on Face-book and My Space”.

Aliens on Face-book?

Whilst totally bizarre, the events certainly tally with predictions made by various prophets about the coming year 2012 where tragic events would plaque our planet. “I do not understand it all”, Maria goes on to state,”But I was relieved my boyfriend was not cheating.”

Apparently that evening, Maria’s boyfriend had arranged to collect her from a party at a friends house some miles away but Maria never shown. According to sources at the party, Maria left early “quite drunk and talking about her favourite TV Show, Star Trek“.
