Book Review: Gypsy Moon and a Road Map for Self-determination

by Meg Smith in Society, September 12, 2011

Transition is a vulnerable time, especially for transwomen. "Gypsy Moon" author, Pamela Rose Anders, bares her soul and shares the highs and lows of her journey to be the woman she knew herself to be. "Gypsy Moon" demonstrates all too well the dilemma of self-expression and self-determination versus society’s insistence that you adhere to its dictates on your gender. "Gypsy Moon" also illustrates the deep conflict between the need for self-disclosure, trust and stability versus the risk of losing friends, family and lovers.
