The Pyramids of Giza were started about 4,617 years ago and contain 2 tombs and a number of shafts. Being the tallest structure made by mankind you will be amazed to know that it was built in just less than 30 years. About 2,550 years ago King Khufu the 2 Pharaoh of the 4th Dynasty order the workers to build his tomb in one of the pyramids. Most Egyptologists believe that it took 10 years to build the ramp to the pyramid and only 20 years to build the actual pyramid, but this is a very sketchy guess for there are no printed records. It is recorded in the ship records that each limestone block for the pyramid is 2.5 kilos in weight. Many people wonder how the Egyptians moved these huge blocks. Since the Egyptians had no current mechanism not even the pulley the researchers concluded that they made mud or brick walk-ways and/or ramps. The last question that everyone always has is, “How did they transport the bricks from country to country?” The answer that the archeologist and any local historian gave them was that they used the Nile to transport all the local and foreign objects.
