New Year Resolutions. Those things that you say you are absolutely positively going to do. You swear. You make a pledge. Going to happen! But, then it doesn’t. You were going to lose ten pounds by Valentines, but you better make it by Saint Patrick’s day. You were going to visit grandma every Sunday. Maybe every other Sunday. Or maybe once a month. You are finally going to read War and Peace, even if it kills you. And it might. Why do we make these ridiculous promises of self improvement? My motto-if you are going to make a promise make it something you are going to keep.
