Jason Russell, co-founder of the campaign “Kony 2012″

The creators of the campaign “Kony 2012″ to the arrest and conviction of the Ugandan rebel leader Joseph Kony have made another video on the Internet. The 20-minute film is a response to the criticism of their actions, said the U.S. children’s charity, Invisible Children, headquartered in San Diego on Thursday. They also called for the 20th April, a day of action to arrest the commander of the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA Lord’s Resistance Army) on.

Declaration of motives

In the new film would be the motivation for the campaign launched in March explained, progress reported and identified further ways to “stop the violence of the LRA,” said the director of Invisible Children Ben Keesey. The first half-hour video “Kony 2012″ clicked on more than 100 million people on the Internet. The Invisible Children organization has been criticized by some to represent a simplistic, outdated and simplistic view of the LRA and the Ugandan conflict. The makers of the film was the end of March in San Diego was taken up naked and confused in the street.

The International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague for war crimes and Kony investigated crimes against humanity, including murder, rape and forced recruitment of children. The LRA was originally founded to fight for the interests of the northern Ugandan Acholi ethnic group, today it is one of the most brutal rebel groups in the world. The LRA first appeared in the late 1980s in northern Uganda in appearance, and currently operates primarily in the northeastern Democratic Republic of Congo, Central Africa and Southern Sudan.

The Invisible Children are out to get money that they do not need, using emotional motivational videos to influence you to donate money to them.

In fact, if you really looked into what they were talking about in their video, most of it is outdated and unreliable information.

KONY 2012 is OUTDATED, and a Scam

The first thing I noticed about the 29 minute video, was that the first 20 minutes could have been cut out completely, because little of it had anything to do with Joseph Kony. In fact, most of it was about the director’s son.

I could tell if I watched this documentary at school every girl would have been like, “aww, he’s so cute!” and then they would have been doing everything they could to support the cause.

The only relevance of the kid was to show his opinion about Kony, I mean, if you can persuade a blonde child that this guy is good and this guy is bad, then it is a very reliable source when it comes to stopping the guy (sarcasm).

Eventually after you skip the first 2/3s of the video, you reach the part where it says “This is how we are going to stop Kony”. One of their first steps was making him famous.

HELLO! MAKING HIM FAMOUS IS WHAT HE WANTS! How else other than being public enemy number one do you spread fear? People like him crave attention, so all the Invisible Children organization is doing is helping him out!

However, their first step in arresting Kony, which again I laughed at, was the fact that they have to find Kony first.

I mean, it must be difficult finding a leader of a 30,000 troop army of children. People need to understand; LEADERS OF AN ARMY MUST KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON! They can’t just hide in a jungle, because then they do not know what their next attack should be. You didn’t see George Washington hiding in Maine while the fighting in the Revolutionary War was taking place in New York.

The ICC’s Most Wanted

Another huge point, that I think a lot of people missed were the top 25 most wanted in the ICC. Go to about 12:27 in the video if you missed it.

Sure, everyone saw the number one spot was taken by Joseph Kony, but what about the others?

Spot number two: Vincent Otti

Vinctent Otti is the Deputy Leader of the LRA (Lord’s Resistance Army), or should I say, was. Just so you know, Vincent Otti died October 2, 2007, about 5 years ago

Spot number three: Raska Lukwiya

Raska Lukwiya is the third highest commander of the LRA, or should I say, was. Just so you know, Raska Lukwiya died August 12, 2006, about 6 years ago

Other ICC Most Wanted

Okot Odhiambo

Okot Odhiambo who was going to surrender himself, is thought to have died in 2008, 4 years ago, according to the ICC website. Even though his surrender is thought to have been a hoax, read the Pardoned rebels in gun crimes section in this article: http://www.sundayvision.co.ug/detail.php?mainNewsCategoryId=7&newsCategoryId=123&newsId=673862

It says: “Pardoned former LRA members, who allegedly hide their weapons from the authorities, are being blamed for a series of gun crimes across northern Uganda. Over 30,000 LRA fighters have returned home since the Amnesty law came in place in 2000. “

30,000 LRA members? Thats the same number of children the video said were troops.

Dominic Ongwen

Dominic Ongwen might be the only wanted leader of the LRA, besides Kony, because the fingerprints from his supposed body in 2005 did not match.

Which leads us to the next point: Is Kony 2012 a scam?

In my opinion, it is. The information is all outdated, and there is no way for 1 person, to control an army of 30,000 while hiding in a jungle, even if Dominic Ongwen was helping him. Also, you do not need so much money to find Kony, because the troops report to him for their orders on what to do next.

All the Ugandian Army needs to do is follow the troops receiving orders, and they could find Kony.

Also, before you give them your money, you should know that 32% of the money goes directly to help the cause. The other 68% goes to staff salaries, travel and transport, and film production. (http://jezebel.com/5891269/think-twice-before-donating-to-kony-2012-the-meme-du-jour)

Kony 2012 is a movement that demands that the government takes action against Joesph Kony's actions of abducting children and using them for his own personal needs!

In case you were wondering Joseph Kony has been on the number 1 spot for IIA’s most wanted list for 5 years now. What kind of crimes do you think he committed, well start with abducting children from their homes at night. And using them for his child army, to then use to turn them against the world and make them work for him. He also commits crime such as rape, sex slave trafficking, and much more.

Recently in the past 10 years one man has stood up to fight for what he believes in, and what he thinks what America has to offer in this dire situation. That man’s name is Jason Russell, he has dedicated a portion of his life to stop this one man who stands before everyone in America. He did not start a revolution on his own, he has built up an entire community to stop and spread the word to politicians, artist, celebrates, even athletes. Millions of people have pledged their name to stop this unconstitutional act, him and his organization made a very heart warming video, and released it to the public gaining over 50 MILLION views within 4 days. Here is that video and always remember, Would You Want People To Save You If You Were Captured?

Who knows Joseph Kony? Thanks to a fast-spreading videos soon half the world. The aim of the film is to take the Ugandan rebel leader. But the methods of the makers are controversial.

Summarizes the mass murderer to be found by the Ugandan rebel leader Joseph Kony and nailed down with a video

The earth from space, the birth of a baby, children mutilated. These heavy violins in a minor key and a crying boy. He says things like, “I would rather be dead than to live in this world.” The words come from the mouth of Jacob, a teenager from Uganda. Like many of his compatriots, he is afraid of the thugs of Joseph Kony – leader of the Ugandan rebel Lord’s Army Resistance Army (LRA). The “holy warriors” terrorize the country for decades. They murder, plunder, rape and collect guys like Jacob as a child soldier. Almost 70,000, it will be yet.

Joseph Kony is not the only African butcher of self-styled grace, but certainly the best known. There are several international arrest warrants in 2004 against him, yet he can pursue his murderous campaign undisturbed in the name of the Ten Commandments. When it comes to the American organization “Invisible Children” should be so but by the end of this year end. “Kony 2012″ is a half-hour film, the filmmakers Jason Russell has turned the job and its goal is to make the mass murderer on the loose and the world so well known that he is finally behind bars. In what looks set to organize the rebels will have a glance at the cover of the film: He can be seen in darkened quarters profile, in the background staring Osama bin Laden and Adolf Hitler into the void.

The film, a sweeping piece of Hollywood to maudlin spread like wildfire on the net. Since publication on 5 March it is clicked on Youtube and Vimeo alone nearly 20 million times. The keyword # Stopkony found in hundreds of thousands of Twitter Tweets – the video is already one of the biggest viral successes in the history of the Internet. This should “Invisible Children” to be closer to his goal to get the terrorist prince Joseph Kony to the collar. “This video is an experiment,” it says in the video. And right at the beginning of a quotation from Victor Hugo: “Nothing is as powerful as an idea whose time has come”.

Doubts about the methods of “Invisible Children”

A doubt honorer claim pursued by the organization. But as soon excited the film worldwide fame, criticism is loud. For similar examples from the past have often achieved the opposite of what was originally planned. The income of the British-Irish superstar ensemble Band Aid (”Do they know it’s Christmas) of 1984, for example, in Ethiopia used massively on arms purchase -. And not for food, too.” Invisible Children “gathered with the help of the film Donations There are no doubt that the organization means well, but some doubts about the methods.

A few months ago, “Foreign Affairs”, a journal of world politics, the approach of non-profit organizations such as “Invisible Children” was examined. Their conclusion: Such organizations manipulated facts for their own purposes. They inflated the crime, such as those highlighted by the LRA and forced recruitment of child soldiers in such a way that men like Joseph Kony would be styled as a unique example of evil, it is said there about.

“The ‘Kony 2012′-show is here”

Without doubt Kony is a terrible mass murder, but no longer the only one of its kind have recently passed him in Central Africa quite a few other butchers rank: most notably the Hutu rebels in eastern Congo. Unfortunately, the names of their leaders are so cynical as it sounds, for Western tongues so complicated that it is easier to focus on someone like Joseph Kony. The blogger and expert on Africa Ross Elliott as judges in a nutshell: “The ‘Kony 2012′-show is here, and the whole thing is a miserable fraud.” Above all, the video is peppered with personal observations and full of clichés.

Critically, the advocacy of “Invisible Children” is seen. Three years ago, the organization made sure that in Uganda, a law was passed, which should help to ensure in the disputed regions for security and peace. Human rights activists believe, however, that there is strength, especially the power of the president, Yoweri Museveni – whose security forces have to show even a thick file of human rights violations. Which may not be with the people of Kony to compare. But Kony has long disappeared from public view, no one knows where he is – because it is very likely that the hunt for the perfect, but submerged villain is a welcome distraction from the other problems of the country and especially its leadership, the for years (thanks to the support of the U.S.) imperiously ruled and persecuted every form of opposition.

“Unpleasant echo of white colonialism”

Despite all the criticism about “Kony 2012″ The play shows at least that the social networks can definitely use it to get too uncomfortable issues onto Tableau. And a controversial discussion about “Invisible Children”, their struggle against Joseph Kony and the role of the Ugandan regime is certainly better than no discussion. “I am happy and relieved, especially that on ‘Invisible Children’ drawn worldwide attention to this issue, because murderers and torturers usually remain rather anonymous,” writes a Ugandan named Musa Okwonga in an article for the British newspaper “Independent”. Even if the same action had “the unpleasant echo” of white colonialism in Africa.

The LRA is accused of murdering, kidnapping and rape of thousands of Central African States (French)

Decided to U.S. President Barack Obama send 100 U.S. troops to central Africa to provide advice to the forces fighting the elements of the LRA, and accused of humanitarian abuses.

This came in a letter to Congress saying that those forces will not participate in the fighting directly only when necessary for self-defense, asserting that its work will be limited to providing advice to the forces that work to get rid of LRA leader Joseph Kony and other leaders in this group.

Obama said in his letter that his troops to be sent first to Uganda is also spreading in southern Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo, Central African Republic to promote the interests of U.S. national security and foreign policy.

He added that the groups that belong to the Lord’s Resistance Army have killed and raped and kidnapped hundreds of thousands of men, women and children in these countries, where tens of thousands during two decades, indicating that continues to commit “atrocities” in that area have an impact on regional security.

He stressed that the support provided by U.S. forces will enhance efforts against the LRA, noting that despite the combat readiness of U.S. forces, they will provide only the information, advice and assistance to the forces of participating countries, and will not clash with the forces of the LRA only to the need for self-defense.

US President Barack Obama has said he is sending about 100 US soldiers to Uganda to help regional forces battle the notorious Lord's Resistance Army.

LRA rebel leader Joseph Kony is wanted by the International Criminal Court

Although combat-equipped, the troops would be providing information and advice “to partner nation forces”, Mr Obama wrote in a letter to US Congress.

A small group is already in Uganda, and the troops could later be deployed in other central African nations.

The LRA is blamed for mass murder, rape and kidnapping in the region.

‘Kill or capture’

“I have authorised a small number of combat-equipped US forces to deploy to central Africa to provide assistance to regional forces that are working toward the removal of (LRA leader) Joseph Kony from the battlefield,” Mr Obama wrote on Friday.

But he stressed that “although the US forces are combat-equipped… they will not themselves engage LRA forces unless necessary for self-defence”.

Mr Obama did not provide any details about the deployment duration, but a US military spokesman later told the BBC that the “forces are prepared to stay as long as necessary to enable regional security forces to carry on independently”.

The force will use hi-tech equipment to assist in what analysts say is a “kill or capture” policy, the BBC’s Marcus George in Washington reports.

The deployment follows recent US legislation to help disarm the LRA and bring its leader to justice. The theory is, our correspondent adds, that without Joseph Kony, the movement will collapse from within.

Senator John McCain said Central Africa would be more stable if the threat of the LRA “under the sadistic leadership of Joseph Kony,” would be “diminished”.

But Mr McCain, a long-serving senator, former veteran and Mr Obama’s opponent in the 2008 presidential election, expressed “regret” that the president did not consult with Congress on the decision to sent troops to Uganda.

“I remember how past military deployments intended to further worthy humanitarian goals, whether it was peace-keeping operations in Lebanon or Somalia, resulted in tragedies that we never intended or expected,” Mr McCain said in a statement.

Child soldiers

At least 30,000 people died as the LRA spread terror in northern Uganda for more than 20 years, displacing some two million people.

It is notorious for kidnapping children, forcing the boys to become fighters and using girls as sex slaves.

The group is listed by the US as a terrorist organisation and now operates mainly in neighbouring countries such as Democratic Republic of Congo, South Sudan and Central Africa Republic.

Joseph Kony and his close aides have been wanted by the International Criminal Court (ICC) since 2005.

He refused to sign a peace deal with the Ugandan government in 2008 when it could not guarantee the withdrawal of the ICC arrest warrants.

Could you imagine being woken up to the sound of screams and gun shots? There are many places in Africa where this occurs such as North Uganda, Sudan, Angola and many parts of the Congo Basin. Children are taken from their villages without any regard for their happiness or well being, their families are raped and slaughtered and their villages are burned to the ground. Everything these children held so dear turned to ashes within hours.

BOY SOLIDERS

The children are kept, mostly the young girls are treated as sex slaves and passed around the camps until they have no more use for them and then are ultimately killed or sold to the sex trade. How any body could treat another human being like this is beyond me. They have more prospects for the young males, they use these kids as soldiers for the simple reason, if they come under attack it would be a lot harder for the opposing army to shoot a child than it would be to shoot a grown up. These tactics are know as boy soldier tactics. The boy soldiers have nothing left to live for but they value their lives all the same so they fight. Most of them just get use to the idea because they know no better, as time grows on they feel they have no alternative but to continue on with the desperate struggle.

The mind of a child is very persuasive, they can adapt to things rapidly and if their parents are not around to guide them, they follow orders by their kidnappers. With no one to tell them the difference. In most cases when abduction occurs usually friends in the village get taken together, leaving the children to form their own families within the group. This is exactly what the kidnappers would plan for because of this fact they would have the loyalty straight away to look after each other unconditionally. The rebels teach the boy soldiers to become combatants train them up on survival and loyalty to their commanders, before giving them weapons. While this training is going on the boys learn that its a lot easier to do what they’re told to do and get rewarded, with shelter and food, and the basic essentials that they once took for granted. And if followed the rebels could do again. Because they are so young this doesn’t take them long to understand. What influences them the most is seeing first hand what happens them if they don’t.

The rule of the rebel organization’s, in all of these areas are simple, if you try and run you will be shot, if you don’t follow orders you will be shot, otherwise you can do as you please. The rebels throw everything at them such as alcohol, if they want to drive the truck they can drive the truck, they want to fire the guns they can fire the guns. After a couple of months pass by the rebels have won because what the boys think, is that it is not so bad here, what young boy wouldn’t want to fire a gun or drive a truck or drink etc.

When the memory of their ordeal surpasses, and the families and villages that have been destroyed are just fading deeper in their minds because they have so much to do and learn. This is where the rebels have established thrust with their new recruits and they know that the boy soldiers are ready for battle Gorilla style. Gorilla style combat is more than just facing your opponent and giving it your all, its dirty tactics such as sneaking kids behind enemy lines armed to create a distraction for other soldiers to launch a main attack. The rebels see these kids as expendable they don’t care if they live or die. In any other country and in fact these countries hosting these travesties to join up to the military you either have to sign up or in some countries it is compulsory of a coming of age. Not like the rebels recruits who could be as young as six years old and standing in battle with an AK47 in hand.

Why do these rebels do this, why do they take young kids and subject them to such slaughter, this is because of their illegal drug smuggling, diamond mining, illegal logging empires, arms dealing and further abductions. Basically anything that can generate cash illegally, these boy soldiers will be involved in. I have read articles from all over the world people sharing their opinions and not one could say that this was an okay thing to do. So what drives the rebels to do this, most of the rebels themselves have been a boy soldier in their past and have learned through ignorance, that behaving like this would make them more money than they could imagine and simply converted. Why in Africa would you want billions of dollars and how much is enough money. The most of the money goes into transporting drugs and the buying up of weapons to beat and try and cripple the governments that form in their native countries.

Some places in Africa the authorities wont try and stop the rebels because they are so powerful leaving the area they control to there own destruction. The last people to find out about where these rebels operate are the people in the villages which these children are being snatched from. The most powerful of them operate around the Congo Basin. Giving them the shelter of the jungle to hide in, transport arms and drugs or diamonds across the continent through the trees.

In Uganda 200 million people have been forced to leave their villages and towns because of the LRA the Lord’s Resistance Army, went rampaging through the villages raping and destroying the live of thousands, taking what they want and sending a clear message to the Ugandan Army that they are not a force to be reckoned with. When they would destroy a town or village people would run in fear they couldn’t kill everybody but the ones they could they did. And they burned the village to the ground so that the people that did escape couldn’t return there. Many fathers would come back in desperate search for their sons or daughters and what happens to them is not for the feint hearted. I saw a video doing research of what happens these men if they are spotted returning, I’ll just say this if you don’t know already, you don’t want to know.

I’ve heard of fathers tracking down their son’s following the rebels to their camp and trying to take back their child. There are videos of what happens to them too, which are far less pretty than the other ones I’ve seen. These videos would be sent to the Ugandan Army to show them what happens to the people that cross them. Militaries, religious leaders and other organizations in established surrounding areas have tried to lend a hand to combat the problem of the rebels, but over the past twenty years have failed simply because of them using children as shields and the trees to camouflage their fractions. A simple solution would be just to go in with a global combat force and wipe them all out once and for good. This hasn’t been done yet because, could you kill a small child who is there against their will and been brainwashed ? As much as I want to see an end to this I know I couldn’t do it, and to do it you would only be lowering yourself to their standards.

This is how nothing can be done about the rebels, they have had this plan in place for over 100 years and it is still holding up strong for them with no solution in sight. It is not just in Uganda where this is going on it is happening all over Africa the numbers are just much higher in the Congo region. In other parts of Africa children are being snatched and sold or traded to the LRA for weapons and drugs or girls for their sex trade industry. These people are branches of the LRA just in it for the profit and profit only. These branches stretch across the globe operating in the US, Europe and other parts of the world to other cartels such as the Columbians and the other rebels operating out of the Amazon.

The crime ring is interwoven throughout the globe, If you buy drugs such as cocaine, heroin, ecstasy or speed or such drug that has to be manufactured, it could even be off your best friend, you are funding terrorism and these fractions of the LRA and the LRA itself or the Columbians. It would be naive of us to think that they don’t do business with each other in one form or another, if you take our world for instance we do business legitimately between countries be it through banks or businesses to generate and maximise our profits. The crime ring operates much the same and as we have strong forces armed to the teeth to protect us, the LAF use children they have abducted to hide behind. People would call them cowards and you can put my name on that list, the LAF see this as just a word and laugh at the rest of the world as they count up their cash and continue to do business as normal.

If someone may have an answer to this solution could you let the authorities or some website know that support this issue because it has being going on for too long, as we sit in the comfort of our homes we would have to remember that children are being abducted this very second and turned into a shield for terrorism. I am deeply concerned about this horrible waste of life and if I even knew where to begin to solve it I would do everything I could to prevent this happening.
