Most of us travel through the air from time to time, and if you are a user of sex toys, it is necessary to consider how to travel with them. These days since the fall of the twin towers of New York, travelers are subjected to increasing scrutiny.

Sex toys and materials are not limited usual

Most of us travel through the air from time to time, and if you are a user of sex toys, it is necessary to consider how to travel with them. These days since the fall of the twin towers of New York, travelers are subjected to increasing scrutiny. After the shoe bomber, you have to remove their shoes for inspection, and from another attack, only small amounts of fluids can carry on board. Certainly, it is that restrictions on air travel are flaws in the toys (not the most common types at least), but the inspection and supervision exercised received during the evaluation can not be all that. Warm and cozy for you

I recently had a situation where I bought a sex toy, when I was out of the country, and we must consider how to get home without problems. It turned out that no big deal, but luckily I had thought much, and there are some aspects of the situation that requires attention and could miss:

Prepare and store all the sex toys and sexual lubricants in checked baggage.

* Plan ahead, and leave no sex or sex toy lubricants or creams for the guidance of your hand luggage! I know it seems pretty obvious, but how many times have we known that certain kinds of materials had to go in checked luggage, only to discover that he was unpacking alrready too late. I had a dozen knives and a half, and at least a couple of Scizzors taken from my bags, clearly labeled with my name and ID for delivery at the destination … and never seen again. Under no circumstances may do so without having to dig through your luggage inspectors in, and watching or wondering, their new and wonderful vibrator.

* Remove all batteries. That’s a good policy for any battery device that can be packed. A buzz, a suitcase vibrates much attention will be unwanted, including baggage handling.

* Place SexToy in a plastic bag so that even if they do open your bag, you will most likely not to touch the device directly. Remember, even the luggage can be opened under certain conditions.

* One last thing, you probably have no problem to bring a toy for adults to the U.S., but there are many restrictions on imports and taxes elsewhere. It would be worthwhile to know them, because this can result in an inspection of all luggage. If you are entering a country, you should be aware that customs officials make inspections as they are about to leave the airport.

I always say that a sex toy is just a tool for use in our day to day. In a certain sense no different from a fork to eat, or a hair comb. However, the whole world has not come to that perception, and never will do.

Happy flying.

Advice for the ones starting work on a cruise ship about what to pack when leaving.

You got the job and you think this is it, huh? Well, think twice because it’s just starting. I’ve got a big question for you: “How do you fit your life in 2 pieces of luggage?”. Yes, your life, because 6 to 10 months you’ll be living on the ship and only 6 to 9 weeks you’ll be home. It’s not an easy task, but it can be done and I am here to help you out.

The secret is to pack only the necessary things and the rest you’ll find it on the ship or in the places you’re going to. So here is the list of things you need and whether to bring them from home or not.

Clothes – Bring only the necessary because, if you’re a girl, for sure you’re going to shop a little bit and when you’re going back home you won’t have enough room in your luggage for all of it, and trust me, you won’t have time to wear all of them anyway since you’ll be working at least 10 hours a day. Caribbean islands and USA are cheap when it comes to clothes, buy all your brand clothes from there because Europe is much more expensive. Also, when you choose your clothes, don’t think of the time of year, think where you’re going to be at that time ( even though is December, what’s the point of buying/bringing warm clothes if you’re going to be somewhere in the Caribbean?). One more thing should be mentioned here and that is that you should bring one or two formal dresses for the parties (Christmas, Easter etc.) and shoes to match. Royal Caribbean Cruiseline’s policy on shoes is pretty strict, meaning that no open toe or heel shoes are allowed onboard unless you’re on your way out of the ship, so remind yourself about that if you got a job with them.

Shoes – All the above applies to shoes as well. Bring a pair of snickers, a pair of formal shoes, a pair of flip flops and a pair of casual shoes and that’s enough. You don’t need work shoes since the company policy requires you to use their own shoes.

Cosmetics and make-up – It all depends on where you’re going. If it’s Europe, you better bring most of it from your home because there it can be pretty expensive. If your ship does the Caribbean then bring only the necessary things and buy the rest from there as everything is cheap. And by everything I mean really everything: from cotton pads and tampons to shampoos, shower gels and any type of make up. You can find pretty good deals for brand cosmetics in the USA and Mexico.

Medication – You don’t really need to bring anything with you because you’ll find everything that you need in the medical office free of charge.

Electronics – Both 110 and 220 voltage outlets are available in your room so you can bring any piece of electronic you want. What I found very useful to have with you is: laptop, mobile phone, ipod or any other MP3 player, hair dryer, photo camera and speakers. Anything else is just optional and if you ask me and if you don’t have enough space in your luggage don’t bring it. If you don’t have it, you can always wait until you get in the USA and buy it from there since is so much cheaper.

Books, music, and movies – Each ship has a library for its crew so no need to bring books or magazines with you unless it’s something you really want to read. Bring music and movies from home, it’s a great way to socialize and make new friends by sharing it.

Towels, linen – This is nothing you should be worrying about since they are provided by the company. Bring just one big towel for when you’re going to the beach, but you can also take the company towels as well if you don’t have your own. Some bring their own blankets and pillows too just to feel more at home, but you don’t really need it and they take up a lot of space. If you really want one of your own, buy one in one of the ports your ship is sailing from. Did I stress enough that USA is cheaper than Europe? It is when it comes to this as well.

Accessories – They make or break the outfit. In my opinion, you better bring more accessories and less clothes because, even though you’re wearing the same clothes, the entire outfit looks totally different depending on what accessories you’re wearing. Same like everything else, if you are in Europe, bring most of them from home, if you’re in the Caribbean islands, you can find better and cheaper there.

Personal stuff – Bring your teddy bear or your mini fountain garden with you, or anything that reminds you of home. It’ll make you feel less lonely onboard. Bring a few photographs of your family or boyfriend/girlfriend, it’ll help you stay on course and remind you you’re there to make some money so you can provide for them.

So this is it, time to pack your bags now. Just remember 2 things:

don’t pack your bags full since you need some space for presents when you’re coming back

check the airline company weight limit ( as a seaman, you are entitle to bring more luggage than the usual airline costumer – call and ask)

A journey that would take me to my destination and back again to get the thing I left behind.

It was Valentine’s day and I had lunch with my mum at the Japanese restaurant to celebrate the occassion.
I had a Gindara set while my mum had buckweat soba, accompanied with a teppanyaki salmon and a wakame salad.
Simply delicious, I was walking out of the restaurant satiated.
Then we went to the nearby shopping complex to get my supply of vitamins but it was closed for stock take.
That evening I would be travelling to the city, so I dropped by at the train station to get my train ticket.
We had planned to leave the house two hours before the train departure time which was 18:55 hours, however, due to the heavy downpour, mum decided to leave at 20:00 hrs. It was a welcome thought as I could see another episode of “Smile again” – the Korean drama which aired at 19:30 hrs.

I had so many bags to carry which was two luggage bags, laptop bag and my satchel.
All in I had four bags and it can be a handful when one has to carry it all around on one’s own.
I had gathered both my luggage bag and laptop bag ready at the doorway while my handbag was placed on the tea-table. I was busy loading up the car with my three bags when I shut the door locked and my mum had started the car to drive me to the train station. Just then, I remembered my sweater lying on the bed.
I opened the locked door and went hurriedly to grab my sweater as my mum was grunting impatiently.
I arrived at the train station and saw one place empty beside an elderly lady.

She turned to me and asked where I was going. We then engaged in conversation to fill in the waiting time.
In the middle of our conversation, my mum called my handphone and reminded me of my medication which was to be taken at night after dinner. She had made me egg sandwiches for the journey, eventhough I had fried rice for dinner earlier. The train came a bit delayed and I rambled to my berth. Having put my luggages in its place, I was reminded by my medication. Just then, a thought struck that I had forgotten my handbag placed on the side-table.

OMG, as I struck by the thought, that all my important documents were in there. How could I be leaving,
It was too late, as the train has began to move. Then, more thoughts began to sunk in, not only was I deprived of my medication, but I was travelling without a single cent on me. How am I to go about?.
What horrifying thought was that?. I started rummaging around my laptop bag for a miracle, that I would suddenly find some cash for the necessary transportation that would bring me to my rented room, but to no avail. I turned pale in horror at the thought of how to finance the transportation back to my accomodation once I arrived to the city.

This incident happened of late and I am still thinking about my bag, cash, spectacles and the mobile with so many phone numbers and photographs.

Tiny but robust was the handbag with its shiny fasteners, made of hard canvas; a beige pastel green and brown, the miniature of a large handbag. I was drooling at it, hallucinating it to be a spectacle case for it could accommodate it so smugly! This sleepy stance of mine was, because I boarded the train at the wee hours- before sunrise and that, I had rightfully to complete my quota of sleep.

I never carried this handbag on long journeys, I usually opted for the bigger and softer one which I tucked under my pillow when I slept. But as it happens, when you change your thing of utility- things you are used to, you tend to be unmindful. My hallucination thus prompted me to keep it openly beside me, glaring. How I became for the moment, oblivious to its other contents, a good mobile and cash, I cannot explain. That some kind fellow would make off with, right it in the morning hours was beyond expectation.

Angry with myself, I dialed my own number on another person’s mobile. The crook had the temerity to pick up the phone and respond. I implored the fellow to kindly return it, and I would reward him adequately. But he had already taken a fellowship in confiscating others things, so for him, there was no turning back.

Lesson

Whenever you change your things of daily use, be more careful.

Caution

Imagine every item of your luggage as your family member, so that you don’t leave them behind.

An examination of the new TSA rules and the parties they protect.

These days before you get on a plane you have to go through security that is tighter than your jeans from junior high. According to the TSA all these measures are supposed to make the passengers safer when they travel, but are the passengers who are safer or is it the TSA?

The truth is that a terrorist who is supported by a group that has millions of dollars to spend on killing people will be able to get on a plane with explosives if he or she really wants to. The TSA pat downs and body scanners will only make it a bit more inconvenient. The TSA knows this but they also know that their methods are so intrusive that there isn’t much more they can do short of giving everyone CAT scans and colonoscopies each time they want to board a plane. That is how the TSA is protecting itself. In the event of an incident on a plane TSA can simply release a statement saying that they have done all they could to monitor what is brought onto the plane.

This is a part of my story. It is about how I overcame despite growing up in foster care.

I was priviledged one morning to spend some time with some amazing friends of mine who are awesome foster parents. One of thier foster sons was packing his things and preparing to move to another home. I watched as he brought down his things in two plastic trash bags. Watching this awesome boy leave with those trash bags brought back some memories and really made me think.

I grew up in foster care for most of my growing up years, and if there is one thing that makes me think of foster care, it is plastic trash bags. I have countless memories of my caseworker coming to take me to a new home, and I had no luggage, so I always packed my things in trash bags. I remember the last foster home I moved to when I was fifteen years old, I was packing my things in the trash bag and I thought “this is my life; its not worth anything more than the trash that is supposed to go in this trash bag” I was thinking that I WAS trash.

I had this revelation a while back about my whole foster care experience. In a way, I think foster children have a really unique and special revelation of what it really means for God to send his only son so that we could be his children. See, when I was in foster care, I had the experience of living with a few families who had children of thier own. I have to tell you, none of these families would have EVER have given one of thier children so that I could be a part of thier family. It is in a parents nature to love thier own children dearly, and that love simply cannot be given to someone else.

But the amazing thing about Father God is that he has so much love that he could choose to love us too. The amazing thing about the sacrifice of Jesus is His ressurection from the dead! Because of His sacrifice, we have been give the spirit of adoption, by which we can cry out “abba father”, and because of his ressurection, we have an awesome older brother who is ever making intercession for us in Heaven! Being a former foster child has given me the blessing of really understanding this sacrifice in a way that most people don’t understand. Father God REALLY does love us; so much that he gave us His only son, the person he loved so much; so that we too could be called children of God! What a marvelous gift and inheritance we have been given!

Now, back to the trash bags. I have recently been given some prophetic words and God has called me a treasure seeker. He told me he has given me a gift to find treasure in unusual places. He told me he has given me a key to unlock hidden treasure in peoples hearts. I think I have this gift because of what God showed me through the trashbags.

You see, it really doesn’t matter how big our “trashbag” is or how much trash the world has thrown in at us. The glorious gift of God is that he has taken our trashbag and he has dug down deep into it and he has uncovered the hidden treasure inside. Each one of us is a unique and priceless treasure. So valuable. I don’t know of a greater price someone could pay for treasure than the price of his only son. So no matter how trashy we feel, the truth is that there is treasure inside.

I am in the process of discoveringthe treasure that is in me. Some would say that the memory of the trashbags is a bad one, but I wouldn’t trade it. Because every time I see a trashbag, I remember the treasure that God saw in a little foster child who thought she wasn’t worth any more than the bag she packed her life in.

And I will forever be grateful for luggage!

If you're over 40 and going to start dating again, don't make these mistakes.

So you feel like you haven’t dated since the Last Supper?

Sweetie, don’t make these mistakes and you may survive!

Men: It may be just a habit, but don’t sit across the table from a date at dinner and start playing with the hair in your ears. Resist the temptation. I don’t care if you can braid it. It is a fact of life, as men age they lose the hair on their heads and it starts coming out their nose and ears. Try to remember when you are getting ready for the big date, remove the hair that is everywhere on your body where it shouldn’t be! Wonderful devices just for this purpose are sold everywhere. Or you can live it up and let the person who cuts your hair do a little snipping on those problem areas. Hair in the nose and ears is not sexy. Trust me on this one.

Ladies: Leave the tight clothes for Cher and Madonna. You’re over 40 and if the statistics are correct, you are back in the dating game, you’re over worked and stressed 99% of the time, which leads to throwing your face into a bag of mini Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. I speak from first hand experience, I can shovel chocolate in my mouth at record speed. A pudge on J-Lo is cute. You’re light years past the cute pudge age. Look on the bright side, you’re a survivor. You’ve taken the devil (your ex-husband) head on and won. Lift your head up and be proud. Trying to dress like Brittany Spears will not help.

Everybody: Do not greet your date and in the next breath start blabbering about your evil ex-spouse. Not cool. We all know that as soon as you earn the designation of being an “ex” you have now entered the category of being a sub-human slime ball, low life. Yes, we all know that you have the worse ex-whatever in the world. Before you know it, you and your date are trading war stories about how you were “done wrong”. Give it up, move on. You’re on a date, stop dragging that luggage of the old life around with you. Believe me, you won’t find it attractive in the person you’re dating. You don’t want to hear about what a disaster his/her spouse was, in fact no one wants to hear it. Moving right along…

Men: This little tidbit comes from my personal experience. I went on a blind date with a local business owner. He picked me up for dinner in his Mercedes. Ok, not a bad start, at least I didn’t think he was an axe murderer. As soon as we were driving to the restaurant he started telling me his very best “fart” jokes and put his hand on my thigh. I don’t know what was more disgusting, his idiotic jokes, or putting his hand on my thigh, which I promptly smacked. 15 minutes with this guy and I was hoping an axe murderer would stop the car. Lesson for all, Mercedes does not equal class. I’d have rather ridden with a gentleman in a Ford Pinto.

Everybody: Turn off the cell phones! You have a real live person in front of you. You don’t need a cell phone hanging off the side of your head. No one is counting the number of annoying cell phone calls you receive while in public. We hate them. Yes, it’s time some one says it. People yakking loudly on their cell phones are becoming public enemy number one. If you have to check with the baby sitter, excuse yourself, go to the rest room and call home! A date should be adult time, not kid time. Believe it or not, you actually are entitled to an evening out and some fun.

Everybody: Don’t ask your date how much money they make. A man asked me to dance and by the time we got out to the dance floor, he had asked me where I worked, what my title was and my salary. I felt like I was filling out a credit application. Women are guilty as well. I’ve heard them grilling men, sizing them up to see if they are “husband” material. I’ve also seen the same men disappear faster than Houdini. We call these women Terminators. They can end a date in a nanosecond.

So, try to kick back, relax and make new friends. Let nature take it’s course and don’t set up housekeeping together after one date! After all, you are over 40….
