Kemaskini Tanjong Malim, 1 Jan : Tindakan pihak polis membantai dan menangkap mahasiswa di UPSI awal pagi tadi ternyata membuatkan sebahagian besar rakyat Malaysia geram dan kecewa dengan tindakan bersifat kebinatangan itu.

Beberapa NGO, pertubuhan pelajar dan pemimpin politik tanah air terutama dari parti pembangkang berdiri di belakang mahasiswa yang dibelasah pagi tadi sehingga menyebabkan Pengerusi BEBAS, Muhammad Safwan dikejarkan ke hospital dan beberapa mahasiswa cedera.

Turut tidak berpuas hati dengan insiden berdarah itu ialah beberapa ilmuan seperti Dr. Asri Zainul Abidin, , Ustaz Zaharuddin ABdul Rahman, Ustaz Hasrizal termasuk sasterawan tanah air, Datuk A.Samad Said.

“Lalu, tahun baru pun panas bertunas.

“Lalu, demo siswa pun ganas ditindas.”, ujar Pak Samad dalam syairnya yang dirakam khas.

Manakala Dr. Asri pula merakamkan satu warkah khusus kepada anggota polis yang bertindak kejam awal pagi tadi dan Ustaz Hasrizal pula memuji keberanian anak muda pejuang UPSI.

“Semoga anak-anak saya mendapat peluang pendidikan oleh guru-guru pejuang UPSI.”, ujarnya.

Sementara itu, maklumat terbaru diperoleh, kesemua mahasiswa yang ditahan telah pun dibebaskan dengan ikat jamin sebentar tadi.

Dianggarkan 300 mahasiswa dan 100 rakyat awam termasuk pemimpin parti politik berada di perkarangan Ibu Pejabat Polis Tanjong Malim bagi menuntut mahasiswa dibebaskan segera pagi tadi.

Kira-kira 100 mahasiswa berhimpun di UPSI awal pagi tahun baru semata-mata mahu menuntut pihak universiti menggugurkan kes terhadap Adam Adli yang didakwa atas tindakannya menurunkan bendera Datuk Seri Najib di PWTC 17 Disember lalu. – GZDaily
