During the opening of hostilities in World War 2, Singapore suffered the horrifying aftermath of a blitz when the Japanese airplanes bombed the British island fortress. A famous structure that survived the city bombings where most of the buildings around were devastated was a sufi mausoleum sitting on top of a hill along Palmer Road. Is it mere luck or is there more that meets the eye behind this building?
