President Franklin D. Roosevelt and President Lyndon B. Johnson were inaugurated into office served with a platter of issues and tribulations. Both attempted to assist constructively through a series of programs. Roosevelt’s New Deal was created to provide ’relief, recovery, and reform’ to help ease the effects of the Great Depression, and to a great extent, Johnson’s domestic program, the Great Society, reflected many of the aims of the New Deal since they both were created to mend society while dealing with the issues at hand, such as the overwhelming poverty and unemployment rates, at the expense of the national deficit and inevitable cynicism from critics.

Obama health care bill.

This health care reform is a hot topic. This is really a life or death subject. Two sides in America fighting for the direction of our country. One side louder than another and another even louder. The government has failed to lead.

Lobbyists attempt to cut costs….

The U.S. is already $12 trillion in debt, not counting unfunded promises like Social Security and Medicare, and the current administration wants to add $1 trillion per year for the next ten years to that number. At what point does such an unstable financial system collapse?

In reference to the Obama healthcare plan, regarding the fact that it could possibly be a plan to lead us through the doorway to Socialism.

Each year, social security obligations, increase our nation. As the Government of the United States receive Social Security benefits of our salary, do not put money into a special account that will grow with time. Instead, spend money and then promise to make us pay what is due later.

As we face major changes in every aspect of our lives, we need to remember that we live in a country where we have a right to our opinions and to express them. It is the job of our congressmen and women to answer our questions and move forward with our concerns considered. Many seniors are scared right now because of what they have read in the bill that has been presented. Instead of name calling, politicians should be listening and offering alternatives.
