A reflection on Valentine's Day.

Why did I write and post a poem about oleander http://authspot.com/poetry/oleander/ on Valentine’s Day? I thought about that on my day job all day yesterday. Is it because I find Valentine’s Day to be insipid and shallow? I do to a degree I admit. And yet it is very good to have a day to remind us of what we should do every day, that is to show our appreciation and care for those who share our lives. Especially our spouses.

So while I think all the flowers, hearts, and candy can be a nuisance at best the fact remains that for a great number of people Valentine’s Day is the only time they think to show the one they are supposed to care the most about that they are still special…

An Article About Blocked Third Eye Chakra - The Circle of Sabotage.

“What lies behind and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us”

-Oliver Wendell Holmes

The Third Eye Chakra is a powerful tool that lies inside all of us but can remain dormant. The power that a human mind possesses is vaster than an entire universe and the Third Eye Chakra is a storehouse for that unused power that can change a human’s course of life. This indigo chakra opens you up to vibrant, positive thoughts. It extends your capabilities and your internal powers to such an extent that there are no limitations. It awakens the sub-conscious mind of a human – one that has hidden within it all the hopes, dreams, fears, power, and knowledge required to walk through the frightening realm of the unknown.

Many people live in ignorance of the seven chakras and their available benefits. Indeed this is only half-living; the extent of the benefits that an individual can reap through awareness of the seven chakras and their extraordinary powers is unlimited. Each and every person has their own unique set of problems and each person tries to fight those problems in their own way – but often the occurrence of difficulty feels never-ending. What can a person do when they feel they have exhausted every option? Without an awareness of the third eye chakra it is impossible to truly know the power one can possess. Our problems can limit us and result in a surplus of negative thoughts, preventing us from moving forward in a positive direction. When our thoughts are limited in such a way it limits our capabilities, and stifles our personality. Everything that we think, ask, or talk about – it’s all registered in the universe, and those thoughts come alive in front of us in the form of our actions. The universe works in a way that is mysterious and puzzling, for example the very day we say that “I hope I’m not late today” – we are bound to be late for reasons beyond our control. If we open our third eye chakra we can begin to realize and understand the language spoken by the universe. Instead of focusing on negativity, we can try to speak the language of the universe by saying “I will be on time today,” and finding the path unfolding for us to do as we desire.

Ignorance of third eye chakra limits us and forces us to retreat to negative qualities that we have struggled to get rid of for years. This lack of knowledge limits the possibilities available to us, leaving us with no choice but to accept what comes along. This is a debilitating cycle of existence that affects our ability to cope with the events in our lives. As it gains momentum, it forces a person in the wrong direction and takes them further from happiness and from those that they love. Luckily, the cycle can be interrupted by focusing one’s attention on the Third Eye Chakra and learning to embrace the power of your own intuition.

This is a very brief introduction to astral projection. It goes into what astral projection is and suggests some ebooks to explore further techniques if interested in learning more about it.

Astral projection is an area of discussion that is a very intricate area of interest. The subject matter of this topic is an ongoing branch of learning that is full of twists and turns. It is a field of study that takes a great deal of time and focus in order to achieve it. Astral projection is when the spiritual body becomes disconnected from the physical aspect of the body to voyage the astral plane. In some religions, the astral plane denotes the afterlife. Every night when you are asleep, you encounter an out of body event and enter into a different state of consciousness, only you are not aware that you have done it. It is a sort of trance or dream state type of travel so to speak, only real because you mentally make it happen with astral projection.

The first thing one will need to become skilled at is a method or practice of respite and relaxation of the total mind and body. This process of learning to clear your mind and totally relax the body is much more difficult than one might think, but once this aspect of astral projecting is learned, bringing about a trance type of state can be initiated fairly easily. The methodical procedures for achieving astral projection are much too lengthy for this article, but there are a few techniques out there. There is a technique by Charles Webster Leadbeater in his book called “Astral Plane” as well as a technique by Robert Monroe that can both be downloaded as free ebooks.

Before going to sleep at night, try mentally planting an idea or a place you would like to visit in the back of the mind. It can be anything really. Perhaps, try one of the techniques mentioned above, and remember, concentration is the key to astral projection.

Review of the new consumer EEG headset from Neurosky.

As a gift last year I was lucky enough to receive a strange little gadget from a friend of mine. That gadget, which set him back $100, was a Neurosky Mindwave headset.

Basically, what this thing is is an electroencephalograph machine that doesn’t take up an entire laboratory. The function of an EEG machine is to record the total electrical activity of the brain and then determine the wearers mood and levels of concentration. That is a big claim for such a small device, I was sceptical at first. But after playing this thing for almost a month now, I do not doubt it’s authenticity.

Mind controlled video gaming sounds like something only future generations will enjoy, but the technology exists today. The Mindwave comes with 10 free apps, some of which are ‘mind trainers’ others are simple games. Unfortunately, there is not a great variety of these complementary apps and additional apps from Neurosky’s website are not cheap. To their credit though, Neurosky do seem to support and encourage third party development of new apps for their product. I hope in the near future we see more creative programmers deciding to have a crack at making and releasing new free apps for the Mindwave.

This thing is a lot of fun and holds a lot of yet to be fulfilled potential. I believe the Mindwave would make a great gift for anyone with a computer and some spare time, regardless of age, gender or interests. Thanks to Neurosky (and other emerging brain-computer-interface-tech companies) the future is within our grasp, at least when it comes to gaming.

The Way of Love

Love is not a choice; it is a state of being. Love is not a prerrogative of the human condition; love is inherent in our being, as it is justice or mercy and faith, which are all manifestations of love. Because love is the completion of being, and it is said it is the fulfillement of all law. You cannot choose love as much as you cannot choose to have brown or blue eyes; it all comes with the package. Love is particularly the highest manifestation of virtue and wisdom.

If love were considered a choice, life would be a problem, and so it is, because we think we must pick and choose love, or reject it. The difficult questions of life, those that arise with every human flaw, have their root in our choices as human beings. No matter how long a time we get to make our choice, we would always miss the mark, because between love and hate, there is a miryad of lesser, incipient feelings. And what is less than love is double mindedness. And so we are, unless we become aware of the problematic, and go to the roots.

Going to the roots of the problem is going to the depths of humility, where we have our being.

There is in the human being three known states of being: conscious, subconscious and unconscious. Solving a problem doesn’t finish it, because we have simply arrived to the conclusion, after so and so experiences, that we have a problem where it is difficult for us to love in deed and truth. This, precisely, allows us to remain looking at the problem from different angles; and this looking, just this turning the problem around, will not allow the problem to be relegated to the subconscious.

As soon as we –who have an unsolved problem– allow it to fall into the subconscious, we are relegating it to our history of unsolvable problems. On the other hand, there was never a problem that went for long without a solution if we just kept an abstract looking at it without thought, without valuing its pros and cons, or seeking to bring any solutions. We need to have the intention to relax in it as much as possible. And we shall see, eventually, what happens. We should want to do it daily.

Because any problem that becomes subconcious is half way to become obliterated by the deluge of our past, unsolved problems, due to our incapacity to pay attention without our history of complains about the issue at hand. We so much choose to do something more convincing, something more akin to our ego necessities that feelings of love and justice and mercy do not fit in the picture. We usually want to judge others without a clear mind and heart, and that is counterproductive to our mental sanity.

But love is so persistent and enormously powerful that from time to time, as we find a moment of respite, of anonimity, of peace and quiet, it will find a way to appear, sporadically so, quietly, so quietly that it will go unnoticed at first.

But with all our greed, anger and fear in which we live nowadays, usually it is quite natural that our unobservant ways of love, will become a simple dramatism we will flash at the soap opera, or the movie, where we can shed a tear or two. And those feelings will be short of love; they will be tainted instead with all the gamut of selfish desires and lower passions the soap opera personages will flare up in our subconscious.

As the lack of love in our lives aggravate this way, the problem is relegated to the universal unconscious. It is in this unconscious where all the good, and the bad and the ugly reside. Without enough help, without a guide, any human being that might dare to go into the deep and dark waters of the unconscious, would easily get lost, forever.

Nevertheless, there is help. Meditation provides the necessary help to go into the unconscious and bring up the power of love in our lives. For there is a Spirit in man –and woman–, resilient, immensely powerful enough to rescue us from the unsconcious every time we go in meditation. The purpose of this Spirit of Christ is to help us learn to remain conscious in the depths of the unconscious. Every time we would get paralyzed by the fear, or by the anger or by the greed we might encounter during our meditation, when we go deep into the “waters” of the unconscious, we would come up instead with new insight, new and renovated equanimity, and of course new frontiers, for we have been expanding our dominions during meditation. Remember: we are learning to remain conscious even in the depths of the universal unconscious.

Moreover, our guide on the path of meditation, who has been the Spirit of Christ, or the Spirit of God, has been marking the terrain, as ours. For everytime we would go into meditation, we will find that we can remain conscious and in equilibrium whenever we get to face the problem that used to bother us in the beginning.

Nevertheless, we won’t solve any problems by striving to find a solution; but by accepting the riddle or problem as part of life. It is when we stop just “seeking” for solutions, and instead we become accepting the Spirit of Christ in our lives, accepting the will of God. It is only then, that we have become a human being in all the essential, pure meaning of what that signifies, truly.

It is only then that we might have enough “presence” to act without attachments, and even though the outcome would not be what we may have expected, still we would be able to see the problematic without any suffering on our part. That doesn’t mean we would become indifferent to people and things, but we would be able to relax in the face of adversity, and without any self pity or personal suffering.

Of course, we will keep our feelings intact –love is a feeling too–, and we would still be able to care and feel love and compassion for others, even though without any undue dramatism.

Have you had that experience when all of a sudden you just had this huge hunch that something is about to happen, and to your surprise, that intuition was eventually translated to reality?

When you feel strongly about something without logical basis to it, that’s called intuition. It comes in three impressions: clairvoyance or “the third eye”, sensing clearly and feeling through listening.

Clairvoyance is when your eye goes beyond what it can see. This is when you know what is happening somewhere.

Sensing clearly is basically what we refer to as “hunch” or “gut feel.” This is the time when you are overwhelmed with a feeling and you can’t explain it and all you can say is “I just know.”

On the other hand, feeling through listening or clairaudience is being able to “listen” between the lines. Intuition also happens at times when a certain sound, whatever it is – be it a car’s honk or a bird’s twitting – ushers in an intense feeling.

They say only a number of people are gifted with intuition. Astrologers even insist that people born under the Scorpio or Pisces signs are naturally intuitive it almost borders on E.S.P. But studies have been sprouting left and right that proclaim that anyone can develop intuition.

Why the need to develop intuition, you ask? Why not let your emotional and psychological state as it is? First and foremost, intuition promotes good communication. It makes you more sensitive to the people around you; it often keeps you from hurting those you love because you are intuitive enough to understand them. Intuition also makes you far more creative than ever. Intuition means releasing more creative juices for any means of expression. Lastly, intuition has a healing power. This healing power is not in the physical sense, but in delving deep into your soul to eradicate some negative energy buried in it.

With that being said, are you ready to develop your intuition? Here are some ways to unlock this gift:

1. Hypnosis

Oh yes, get yourself hypnotized. Hypnosis is not limited to watching a pendulum move back and forth. Perform self-hypnosis or you can avail of hypnotic programs that can strengthen your intuition.

2. Meditation

Meditating means finding peace in yourself. If your mind and heart are cluttered with too many baggage and hurt, you wouldn’t be able to quiet down that part of you that could eventually initiate intuition. There are so many ways to meditate: take a yoga class, or just simply practice some breathing that could bring you straight to Zen.

3. Think positive!

A worry-free, fear-free state could do so much to improve your intuitive ability. By staying positive, you attract good energy that would be able to easily recognize imminent feelings and events.

4. Just let go.

What does this mean? If you are on the brink of making a huge decision, let go of all the inhibitions and head to a quiet place where you could find out where the letting go has brought you. Sometimes you just have to listen to the voice within you, and that voice wouldn’t come out unless you let go.

5. Never expect.

After letting go of the inhibitions and all those things that stop you from thinking and feeling clearly, never expect for an answer right away. Never expect that the “hunch” would fall on your lap immediately. Give it a little time then you’d just get surprised that — wham! — now you have your answer.

6. Believe in your first impressions.

When you see someone for the first time and think that he is a bit too arrogant for your taste, chances are that impression actually holds true. Most of the time, first impressions are brought by intuition.

7. Stay happy!

See? All you need to be intuitive is to stay happy! Happiness attracts immense power and such power includes intuition. In tapping your intuition, your motivation must be happiness and contentment. Given that premise, intuition will fall to you easily.

Intuition is helpful, because sometimes it leads you to something that cannot be achieved otherwise. A lot of lives have been saved by intuition alone. Decisions are easier done if armed by this gift. Develop intuition now and reap benefits you have never imagined.

Belief is Borrowed and Trust is Intrinsic

If I tell you that you should shed all your beliefs, then life will be impossible and you will always be perplexed. Even if you are able to trust existence very deeply and free yourself from all other beliefs, you see you will be living with another belief: your trust in existence.

I don’t mean to say that you should not believe in anything. It is human and you are bound to believe in something because your belief gives birth to hope and hope is the only thing in our life which keeps on driving us.

When you are deeply involved in existence, you will see that everything begins to happen on its own. You are doing the things but you begin to believe that some force is there and that force is causing the things to happen through you. You begin to believe in it and you don’t want to come out of it. It is very difficult to trust existence and there have been only few mystics in this world who have lived their lives with complete trust in the existence. People often call them lazy because they have no aspirations, no intention of competing with others, no desire to make it big in life.

Once there was a mystic and he was hired to do some work. The master said to him that he could not pay him as much as he paid to the other workers.

The master said, “You take your own time in doing things, so I will use my own mind while paying you.”

The mystic smiled and said, “You can’t pay anything which is beyond the reach of your mind. You will only give me money and money can be useless when it comes to the things which are not manmade. I work for you and at the end of the month you die. Then who will pay me. I am offering my services to a master who has nothing certain in him.”

The master understood the meaning and he bowed before the mystic. He wanted to load the mystic with gifts but the mystic smiled and wished him good luck and went his way.

The mystic trusted in life and he knew that he had nothing to lose whereas his rich master had everything to lose. You can’t teach trust to anyone because it comes through experiencing life in all the adversities, in all the contradiction, in all the paradoxes. When you are able to maintain the balance between the opposites, you begin to find trust. This is the essence of this human life. When you begin to trust life, you have nothing to lose, and you are a free man, nearing to godliness.

There is a difference between belief and trust. Beliefs are to be dropped because they don’t help. Trusting mind possesses pure intelligence in it. Every human being can have a believing mind because is mediocre, but a trusting mind gets to the perfection.

Dictionaries present belief and trust as synonyms but there is a vast difference. Belief is always borrowed and it comes from outside, generally imposed upon you. On the other hand trust is intrinsic and it happens on its own. When trust takes birth in your existence, you are suddenly a transformed person, a better human being, and a winner who does not want to achieve anything. You are a part of the existence you trust and you begin to see new meanings in life and everything seems to be smiling towards you.

In nature, there is no perfect philosophy, perfect science, perfect religion, perfect knowledge, perfect human or a perfect plan. Nothing can be perfect in this man-made finite world. Everything in the universe is moving, expanding and changing. Irrespective of good and bad every movement is the cause for further development.

There is a basic difference between the static philosophy and moving philosophy, static God and moving God, static science and moving science, static tradition and moving tradition. One of the spiritual persons Basavanna once said, “There is destruction for what stands but not for that which moves”.

Whenever nature gives birth to new wonders in the world, be it in science, religion, tradition, or in something else it represents a moving character. Nevertheless, this moving character will not last for a long time because of our own static way of thinking. Whenever new research emerged in the history of humanity, it has maintained moving character in the beginning, but slowly it has lost the beauty of the moving character because of the orthodox interaction of our own finite mind. Nevertheless, the transformation of moving character to static character occurs only in human mind, not in nature.

In the western world, now there is a spiritual madness to dig out all the static philosophies of the ancient history. Some are talking on Tantra, some are talking on Yoga, some are talking on Vastu, and some are talking on mediation and so on. In fact, they are searching for the static shelter to compensate or to define their own lethargic way of life. Nevertheless, our ancient Sages, Buddha, Krishna, Jesus, Rama, Prophet and other prominent spiritual personalities emerged with moving philosophy; not with a static one, but who made it static? Ask yourself! Which philosophy, science, religion, culture, god and tradition you are representing? Is it a static one or a moving one? Vivekananda says, “Faith is not a belief; it is the grasp of the ultimate as illumination”.

When we realize that nothing can be perfect, we will be completely integrated with nature. For example, during the Tsunami attack in South East Asia on December 26, 2004, the wild animals had already moved to safer zones of habitat. They instinctively sensed danger. The question is how did they decode the signs of the impending danger sent by nature, when the entire scientific world failed to warn about the imminent threat of Tsunami? The reason is simple. We, unlike the animals, have disconnected ourselves from nature and travelled far in to the world of materialistic pleasure. We have long lost the power to decode the sensitive vibrations of nature. Whenever vibrations reach us we are busy adding our selfish meaning to it, but the animals have remained far more receptive to the natural science of creation. The animals do not question nature or impose selfish thinking to such an event, they merely accept it, and survive.

When you cradle yourself in the bosom of nature, it takes care of you. Learning is not a process of abandoning nature. Somewhere in the process of building our own egocentric world, we have fatally forgotten the source we come from. Nevertheless, nature neither forgets nor forgives. It just balances its own creation.

Is Life Logical or Dialectical?

If you try to understand existence, you will find that there is nothing which can be called single, one, unique on its own. It can be unique and single only because there is an opposite of it. The entire existence is paradoxical and this very thing is the most significant. Everything has been balanced very methodically and beautifully: day is there because there is night, light is there because there is absence of light or darkness, height is there because there is depth, and if you able to learn how to balance the opposites, you gradually become capable of knowing the mysteries of life, existence, and godliness. The art of balancing is to be understood and adopted in this life. Existence is infinite, Universe is infinite, god is infinite, but the things which make this existence are there in paradoxes. This is the most beautiful thing of the existence. You give importance to breathing in but you take breathing out for granted.

There are many philosophic logics which define life through their own way: Aristotle’s logic presents linear, one dimensional view of life. Likewise many other philosophers believe that logic is linear but actually they are following a fallacy because everything happening around us is present in paradoxes. The process of life is actually a meeting of the opposites. There is always a conflict between the opposites but finally there is always a meeting of the opposites. You are born and life begins but at the same time death begins to happen because you begin to die every second. Finally there is an unknown and mysterious confluence of the two energies: life and death.

You say that you are alive but you can’t explain life because it is only happening to you hand in hand with death but when a man dies, happening stops and two energies mysteriously remain undefined. We simply say that this or that man is dead. We know that every living being is dying every second but we don’t say it or we don’t want to say it because we are deeply attached to one and that one is life. We disregard the opposite, death, but when the last moments arrive, I believe, the person who is going to die definitely understands that he had lived vainly without understanding the opposites because he was unable to create the balance between the two.

The Aristotelian view is not to be followed because his view of life is linear and if we adopt this view, then there will be only men and no women, or, only women and no men. If the world was made according to Aristotle then there will be only light and no darkness, or, only darkness and no light. That would be logical. There would be either life or death but not both.

There is nothing which is complete on its own and single is not important individually, it gains importance because the other is there. Life is life not because of a single energy; it is life because there are opposites of everything. And life is really possible only because of both, because of the opposites: man and woman, yin and yang, day and night, birth and death, love and hate. Life consists of both.

The majority of the people in this world are trained in their schools and colleges to adopt the view of Aristotle, and as a result they begin to believe that one is important, and thus they disregard the other. Modern science is very close to understanding the mystery of the existence and the universe because science has understood that life is not logical, it is dialectical. Life can be viewed from opposite angles, from opposite points. Only man does not complete the life, woman must be there. Light is called light because darkness is also there. The same can be said about human and super human or god. They complement each other so beautifully.

We disregard the opposites because we have attached ourselves to logic. If I tell you that after your death you will have a better life and you will have more than one woman to enjoy, you will pounce upon me and answer back that what would be the use because your body would not be there. After your death your body would be burnt or buried or thrown in the river or sea. I tell you that there is a great possibility that the life without body will be much more beautiful and more enjoyable. I have dreamed of a world which is definitely like the one I am habitual to. I have my imagination and my own points but I don’t want to impose any of my ideas on you because you might have something completely different in your mind and I have never even remotely thought about it. Views are views, dreams are dreams, and imaginations are imaginations, and you have your right to dwell in the world of your imagination.

I tell you that after your death your soul would be free and there would be eternal life and you would be flying from place to place like the radio waves and your area of travel would be infinite. There would be some other type of love making, without the involvement of physical bodies, and you would experience the never ending bliss. Would you buy it? No, you won’t because I am someone like you, but if the same thing is said by your religion, religious preachers, sellers of ideas, or your folklore, you are ready to accept even the nonsense. You will only listen to those gurus, the holy books which have gained superiority only because you have willingly accepted the ignorance and you never want to venture out of it.

You are not ready to believe me because you have been trained in such a way that you can’t even think of any other form of life, away from your bodies, away from your sweet home, away from your girlfriend, and all that you have achieved in this world. You have logic there but what I am telling you is dialectical. If you give a little deep thought to my point, you will begin to see that it might happen to you after your death. I have tried to experience this life and at the same time I have not disregarded other possibilities. I have already dreamed of a world where only non physical existences would be residing in a perfect harmony with the infinite, the existence.

But for the time being I would like to dwell upon the aspects which are important in this very world.

Having discussed the paradoxes or the presence of opposites, I am led along a path which is often ignored or overlooked. Yesterday, I entered a room which was dimly lit.
“It is a little dark in here,” said my friend.

“There is some light in here,” added the other.

I smiled and said, “What would you call something between light and darkness?”

They turned to me but suddenly their faces lit up.

I had touched something which was never talked about with my friends. Yes, we talk about good and bad, light and dark, man and woman, young and old, day and night, but do we really talk about the other possibilities which are essentially present between the two opposites.

In schools they tell the little ones that they teach you good things and they tell you to avoid bad. I don’t teach good things, rather I tell you to understand both good and bad but not without understanding that there are many other unnamed possibilities between good and bad.

We talk about white and black but we ignore many other complexions and skin colours. We talk about man and woman but we never talk about a shemale. How would you react if you saw a naked human being with a beautiful face and full rounded beautiful breasts along with a penis below the waist? You can easily call it a physical abnormality or something else but I call it another possibility.

The opposites are very vehemently discussed and argued but the possibilities which lie between the opposites are almost never discussed. This is my area of exploration and I am deeply interested in them because they bring out something remarkable and it adds to my understanding of the world and living beings.

Life and death are the two opposites and everyone knows about it but what about the possibilities between the two. You will say that the period between the two is living with your life and I agree but my mind does not accept it because there are many phases in your life when you are only breathing in and breathing out. There are many changing scenes and many ups and downs. Life and death are studied as opposites but those millions of possibilities are mostly ignored which lie between them. What would you say when you find a person lying in coma for more than ten years? One day he opens his eyes and asks about his pen which he had left on the table in his room. How would you explain that he had kept that pen ten years before? How are you going to describe those ten years? What was happening to him during those ten years? Was he alive? Or was he partially alive? Or was he half dead? Or was he dead to some greater degree? Neither you nor your doctors or scientists can explain.

This leads to a very interesting conclusion that the amount of knowledge and understanding which we have gained is perhaps not even a drop in the ocean. I am happy that there is lot more to know and this makes life more interesting and worth living.

If something like this happens to you, I can assure you that you are on the way to Athens. Believe me you will begin to understand life better and you will rejoice in the things which were so cruelly and foolishly ignored by you.

I am not against marriage, I simply want to convey the message that your marriage in legal terms should only be in accordance with the law of the time, not to take you away from your love which you used to swore of before getting married.

Shed Comparisons to Gamble with Life

In the journey of your life, you will come across many points where the same question “Are you ready to gamble?” will be facing you. Life is without any kind of insurance; it is simply an opening, a wild opening, a chaotic opening. You can make a small house around you, secure, but then that will prove to be your grave. Live with life.

There are some points which must be understood: marriage is created by man; love is part of life. When you create marriage around love you are creating security. You are making something which cannot be made – love cannot be made legal. You are trying to do the impossible, and if in that effort love dies, it is no wonder. You become a husband, your beloved becomes a wife. You are no longer two alive persons, you are two functionaries. The husband has a certain function, the wife has a certain function: they have certain duties to fulfill. Then life has ceased to flow. They are frozen.

I am not against marriage, I simply want to convey the message that your marriage in legal terms should only be in accordance with the law of the time, not to take you away from your love which you used to swore of before getting married.

When I see a married couple, I see two secure people. I don’t understand, why can’t they be married for the formality of the legal terms, and still live like lovers, maintaining their individual freedom in life? In most of the cases, husbands impose upon their wives and in return when they become parents of the children, they are more confined.

You can be married and you can still be in love if you have the courage to respect freedom in each other’s lives. When you see love between two persons something is flowing, moving, changing. When there is love between two persons they live in an aura, there is a constant sharing. Their vibrations are reaching to each other; they are broadcasting their being to each other. There is no wall between them, they are two and yet not two – they are one also.

In this traditional world, a husband and a wife are generally as far away as it is possible to be, even though they may be sitting by the side of each other. The husband never listens to what the wife is saying; he has become deaf long ago. The wife never sees what is happening to the husband; she has become blind to him. They take each other absolutely for granted; they have become things. They are no longer persons because persons are always open, persons are always uncertain, persons are always changing. Now they have a fixed role to fulfill. They died the day they got married. Since that day they have not lived.

I’m not saying not to get married, but remember that love is the real thing. And if it dies then marriage is worthless.

And the same is true about everything in life, about everything. Either you can live it – but then you have to live with this hesitation, not knowing what is going to happen the next moment – or you can make everything certain about it. There are people who have become so certain about everything that they are never surprised. There are people whom you cannot surprise. And I am here to deliver to you a message which is very surprising – you will not believe it, I know. You cannot believe it, I know. I am here to tell you something which is absolutely unbelievable – that you are gods and goddesses. You have forgotten.

Finally, I must tell you an amusing story:

Once, Harvey Firestone, Thomas A. Edison, John Burroughs and Henry Ford were travelling by a car. They stopped at a rural service station on their way to Florida for the winter.

“Can we buy some bulbs for the headlights of our car here?,” said Ford. “And by the way, that is Thomas Edison sitting there in the car, and I am Henry Ford.”

The person attending them at the service station was not impressed and he did not even look up, just spat out some tobacco juice with obvious contempt.

“And,” said Ford, “we would like to buy a new tire if you have any Firestone tires. And that other fellow in the car is Harvey Firestone himself.”

Still the old fellow said nothing. While he was placing the tire on the wheel, John Burroughs, with his long white beard, stuck his head out the window and said, “How do you do, stranger?”

Finally the old man at the service station came alive. He glared at Burroughs and said, “If you tell me you are Santa Claus I will be damned if I don’t crush your skull with this lug wrench.”

He could not believe that Harvey Firestone, Thomas A. Edison, John Burroughs and Henry Ford were all traveling in one car. They were all friends and they used to travel together.
We know that they were great inventors but the poor man at the service station had no idea about them. He was so lost in his work that he did not even stop to ask them. In the same way, if you are living your life, you won’t even stop for a while to listen to all those who tell you this is god and that is goddess. You are god in your own existence and you don’t need any external god or goddesses. Just be happy that you are divine and you are important. Shed comparisons, shed securities, shed your ego, shed all that confines you, and you will be a transformed person. You will have to be very courageous to do all this, so be courageous and enjoy your life. Don’t ever come back to me to ask for more because I have nothing more to offer to you. In fact, I have not given you anything.
