Every mistake  and heartbreak blown all out of proportion by the media. The star is forced into hiding or surrounding their selves by an entourage for protection. Is it any wonder they turn to self medication to quiet their fears or insecurities?

I’m sure most of them are sorry they ever became famous. It’s a high price to pay when you lose your privacy.

Imagine if you have a unfaithful mate or an out of control child or a medical condition all of these could be a stressful  situation now imagine the whole world knowing every detail and the news media shoving microphones in your face to ask for more details

Don’t judge them unless you’ve walked in their shoes. Remember the pleasure you had listening to their songs and  let them rest in peace

It is so hard to write this article because it is about the death of Whitney Houston.  She is one of my favorite female singers of all time and it’s hard to believe that she is no longer with us.  I wanted to share my thoughts on Whitney Houston to let people know how I felt about her.  This will not be a negative article about Whitney Houston.  I want to focus on the talented singer she was.  I will not focus on anything negative about her. 

The news
I’m sure you all already know by now, but Whitney Houston was found dead in her Beverly Hilton Hotel room on Saturday, February 11, 2012.  She was found in her bathtub by someone on her staff.  She was unconscious when she was found.  Police tried to revive her, but were unsuccessful.  She was pronounced dead at 3:55p.m. Pacific time. 

The night she died, she was supposed to be at Clive Davis’ annual pre-Grammy party.  She was rumored to sing at the pre-Grammy party.  Shockingly, Whitney Houston died at the hotel where the party was held.  Clive Davis had the party, but dedicated the night to Whitney Houston.

Whitney Houston’s body is going to be flown back to Newark, New Jersey on Monday, February 13, 2012.  The funeral is expected to be held in Newark, New Jersey at the end of the week. 

Whitney Houston is survived by her daughter Bobbi Kristina, her mother, her brothers, cousins, as well as other family members, friends, and fans.

Biography
Whitney Houston was born on August 9, 1963 in Newark, New Jersey.  She was born in my hometown of Newark, New Jersey.  She was raised in East Orange, New Jersey which is also near my home.  She is the daughter of gospel singer Cissy Houston.  Whitney’s cousins are singers Dionne and Dee Dee Warwick.  She is the goddaughter of Aretha Franklin. 

Whitney has a gospel background.  She used to sing in her church choir at New Hope’s Baptist Church in Newark, New Jersey.  Everyone was amazed by her talent even at a young age.

Before she was discovered, she was a model.  She was the first African American to grace the cover of Seventeen magazine.  She also appeared in Cosmopolitan, Young Miss, and Glamour magazines.  In addition to the magazines, Whitney appeared in a commercial for Canada Dry soda.  I never saw this commercial before so I didn’t know that she was in a commercial.

Music
In the early days, Whitney Houston sang backup for Chaka Khan, Lou Rawls, Jermaine Jackson, as well as other singers.  She sang on Paul Jabara’s 1983 cd Paul Jabara and Friends.

In 1983, she was signed to Arista Records.  Clive Davis signed her to his label when he saw her perform at a nightclub.  She released several cds at Arista Records.  Her cds are: Whitney Houston, Whitney, I’m Your Baby Tonight, The Bodyguard, Waiting To Exhale, The Preacher’s Wife, My Love Is Your Love, Whitney: The Greatest Hits, Just Whitney, and I Look To You.  Whitney sold over 170 million records worldwide.

She’s had numerous hit singles throughout the years.  Some of her hits include: Saving All My Love For You, The Greatest Love Of All, How Will I Know, You Give Good Love, I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me), Didn’t We Almost Have It All, So Emotional, Where Do Broken Hearts Go, The Star Spangled Banner, I’m Your Baby Tonight, All The Man That I Need, Miracle, I Will Always Love You, I Have Nothing, I’m Every Woman, Queen Of The Night, Exhale (Shoop Shoop), Why Does It Hurt So Bad, My Love Is Your Love, Heartbreak Hotel, It’s Not Right, But It’s Okay, When You Believe, as well as many other songs.  I would be writing this list all day if I wrote all of her hit songs.

Acting
In addition to her music career, she tried her hand at acting.  She starred in the massive hit The Bodyguard.  She also starred in the movies Waiting To Exhale, The Preacher’s Wife, and Cinderella.  She produced the movie The Princess Diaries.  Before her death, she completed the remake to the movie Sparkle, which is scheduled to be released in August.  I have seen all of her movies that were released and have enjoyed all of them.

Married life
Whitney Houston shocked the world when she married Bobby Brown.  Their styles couldn’t be more different.  She was a pop queen while he was an r&b bad boy.  The two dated for three years before they got married in 1992.  They had a daughter named Bobbi Kristina in 1993.  They were married for 15 years.

My thoughts
I am really saddened by the death of Whitney Houston.  As I said earlier, she was one of my favorite female singers of all time.  She has an amazing voice that was clearly the inspiration for a lot of singers that came on the music scene after her.

I remember trying to sing songs like her every time I listened to her music.  I would always want to sing like Whitney Houston.  I never hit the notes like she did, but I loved trying.  She made it seem so effortless to sing such big and powerful notes.

I will not tarnish her memory by focusing on the bad things that happened during the last years of her life.  I will focus on the good things and always remember that she was a beautiful singer with a beautiful voice.  Just like with Michael Jackson, I will always miss her.  I am struggling to get over the death of Michael Jackson only to go through it again with Whitney Houston.

My thoughts and prayers are with Whitney Houston’s family.  Rest in peace Whitney Houston.

A ceremony to celebrate the memory of MJ was also attended by his mother Katherine, and his brothers Tito and Jackie. Among the celebs who accompanied the kids were Justin Bieber Jackson, Chris Tucker Smokey Robinson and Quincy Jones. Justin Bieber said that Michael meant a lot to him, was more than an artist, was my inspiration. OMG! Paris is beautiful, and they all look great.

Asked the doctor Conrad Murray, former pop singer Michael Jackson, the late, convicted of killing him by mistake in 2009, the court released from prison pending his appeal to theprison term is four years.

Murray said that he wanted to resume his conviction on charges of manslaughter, for his release without bail, noting his agreement to submit to electronic monitoring braceletdevelop its place-mail, or any other means of control.

He also said Murray, 58-year-old that if his release from prison, plans to live with the mother of his child Nicole, until you hear the appeal, which may take a whole year.

I don’t care how off I am when it comes to how long ago this was established, even if it was an accident that trial was bullshit. They made it like they were going to actually bring justice to the Jackson family, maybe take his license away, and put him away for a little longer than four years. But of course, with celebrities, there always seems to be this exception where they can do whatever the fuck they want while innocent people get put on Death Row all the time and they don’t know it until after the poor person is executed. Maybe I’m wrong but if you ask me, something more should have been done to put this doctor away because while I was never a huge Michael Jackson fan, when I heard he died I was in total shock because he was such a big person, he has a fan base in every country of the world. I’m sure his fans would like to know that he got some type of justice. Even though he was put away for what he did, what type of sentence is four years? I’ve seen serial killers go through less time, or better yet, get no time at all. (Because let’s face it, he kind of knew it was going to happen and he did it anyway so if you ask me it’s murder not manslaughter regardless of whether or not he wanted to kill Michael because he knew the medications were going to kill him at some point in time and he didn’t even bother to take Michael off the meds for his own good. He’d still be alive today if Murray would have done his job.) But then again, he went to jail for Manslaughter and got four years. Casey Anthony murdered her own child, made up a fake story about a fake babysitter, and partied for 30 days before even reporting little Caylee missing, and she got away with murder. Doesn’t that tell you how fucked up our Government really is? We need some type of logic in our system people. I’m 15 years old, and even I know that our Government is screwy. They aren’t taking care of us. My two friends were killed in a car accident a few months back, and the guy who was driving got put away for Manslaughter, and Vehicular Assault. I don’t know exactly how many years he got because I didn’t know the driver of the car. But why did he have to get put away for such a long time when Casey Anthony, the murderer of her own child, got away Scott-free?! It’s sickening that we live in such a society where we let serial killers and rapists roam the stress all over the country, and accidents get more attention than actual intent to kill a person. I bet you if I had a daughter and killed her and put on this fake crying bullshit with the jury I would probably get away with murder, too. If I killed someone in my own self-defense I would get put away for years on end. What the fuck is wrong with our country? You tell me. It’s all right there. Tell me there’s nothing wrong with the way our society is run. I guarantee you that you could probably get away with murder nowadays. I still think Murray should have gotten at least 5-10 years just for the fact that he knew what was coming and didn’t want to stop giving him the drugs, but at the same time, look at this case, and compare it to the millions of murder cases where the murder gets away with it. Along with the millions of rape cases every day that no one decides to do anything about. Sometimes, I honestly can’t say that I’m proud of this country and the way it’s being run. Are you proud of the way America is working today?

Doctor Conrad Murray who has convicted three weeks ago for the death of the world famous pop star Michael Jackson; has been sentenced to four years in prison. Four years is the maximum sentence for this kind of crime in the State of California. The charge was the involuntary manslaughter of Michael Jackson.

Michael Jackson died on 25 June 2009 from a massive heart attack after being given a large dose of the lethal sedative propofol. The doctor in question pleaded not guilty to the crimes stating that the lethal drug was not administered by him and that the pop star injected himself with the drug after he had left the room.

Murray’s defense team tried to portray Jackson as a drug addict who begged Dr Murray to provide him with the drugs he needed to go to sleep. They claimed that he was coerced into giving Jackson the drugs he wanted to fall asleep so he could be rested enough to rehearse for his 50 up and coming London shows.

Murray has also been told to pay out a large sum of money to Michael Jackson’s children to compensate them for their fathers death. Although he has been ordered to serve the maximum sentence he will not be serving his prison sentence in a federal prison within the State of California. He will be serving his sentence in a county prison where he will more than likely serve only half of his sentence or even less.

The King of Pop passed away on the 25 June 2009 and his family have said that nothing can erase the hurt they have felt as a result of Michael’s death.
